La Ronge Hotel & Suites in La Ronge

We were tended to in a timely manner. The food was okay. The server was friendly and made no mistakes.The hash browns were plain and had no flavor. I miss the spices that they used to have on the homemade hash browns several years ago 😢 the ham was thin and over cooked, nothing special about breakfast 🍳I give service a 4.7 out of 5 stars 🌟 and the food 3 out of 5 🌟 stars.

Good hotel older but was clean. AC didnt work well and refrigerator was loud. But overall price was ok and again it was clean.

Rooms are decently clean. Hotel is dated but functional. Lobby has a weird smell. Pretty much exactly what you expect.

The heating is not good enough, it was too loud and despite being on and working all night, my room wasn’t warm enough.Also Very loud noise woke me up during the night!

You may be better off sleeping in your car with a baseball bat

Stayed at the first floor, I could smell like ciga or old carpet.

Guy in the front desk was not helpful and rude and rooms not the greatest, food tasteless,restaurant closed to early as well also our next door neighbors were drinking all night could hear them all night still to the morning would not recommend to stay there need a update on everything especially the old guy in the front desk this place becoming a place for people to stay and drink just like northlands!

My mother is type one diabetic and pregnant, her sugar levels were low so she went to the restaurant to order take out and the owner denied her service even after she explained her situation. He was extremely rude and ignorant towards her and didn’t understand the dangers of what could happen to my mom and unborn sibling if she goes without food. Definitely would not recommend you stay here if this is the service the owner is providing.

Restaurant closes at 2PM , Should have it open for hotel guests.

I would give it 5stars if it was clean and updated. Could do very well given the location right across is the Lake. The executive suite was nice.

Not as good as I thought it could have been. . The front desk gentleman was cold and couldnt have been bothered. The bed was well worn in. Its esthetics seem great but friendliness goes along way as well as a good bed which either are there. Im at the Drifters Motel. Stay there. Bed firm clean and quiet 🤫😌😴👌😎☺ and friendly. P.s I want a refund. I know that will never happen.

They had a delicious breakfast menu, I recommend the veggie omelets combo. The waitresses were very friendly.

Thankful for a place to stay with a comfy bed and friendly staff.

Not bad, enjoyed my stay. Our house flooded with sewer so our band paid for our stay while it was being fixed. Food was good. Bar and off sale right next door.

Hours are messed up due to Covid but they have good food in the restaurant

Never stayed in the rooms just come to play slots and have a few drinks always nice people

~ availability of rooms are limited during conferences n huge gatherings... My sis n I got lucky and got the only room left available...which was a wheelchair accessible bottom floor ... Pretty neat room :~

Always stay here when I come to La Ronge. I get the Suite with the Jacuzzi tub. The Suite is always really clean, staff is friendly, and restaurant has good food. Havent had a negative experience yet and I stay here at least 6x a year.

Its a decent hotel, the restaurant is meh in the afternoon but the breakfast is stellar! Wonderful service at breakfast as well.

Service isnt too great bc you are either seen or not seen while those who came in later were served first then your served but feel that you dont feel like eating there bc you feel like your just a nuisance to them bc of your colour or something 😉😏🤔 the food isnt too bad either!

Great place to stay great place to eat and or great place to sit beer slots and chill great service on either side of the building ur on plus the many great views inside and out in any session

Stay here quite a bit. Always a clean room. Friendly service. Nothing fancy but gets the job done. Restaurant is very good.

Rooms were well sized and beds were comfy. Overall felt clean and had a good location

They have decent food decent workers they have two bars karaoke all rate rooms it got a good location by the lake and gate customer service

Good place to stop for coffee or a bite to eat. The lunch buffet is tasty and service is fairly quick. There arent many places to go for lunch in La Ronge, but this is one of the better options.

I am editing this review based on a couple of meals here that were definitely out of character compared to the original review, which follows this section.On two occasions I ordered item that I had during previous visits and were delicious. However this time it seemed that either the cook was new or actually just the dishwasher filling in. I didnt even fine close to finishing the meals, they were awful. One meal in particular, the sauce on the noodles and "vegetables" was missing completely and the vegetables were just sliced carrots. I brought it up with the waitress both times and she just apologized and said sorry. I didnt get any discount or anything and at the register when I paid I asked if the cook was new or something and she said yes. I assume that by the time you read this, the cook is fully trained and you should have no worries and you can continue below to the original review, which is glowing. Just know that the hotel management obviously has no qualms about placing cooks in the kitchen that have no business being there. The original review...The menu here is a lot bigger than I remember, but man is it ever good compared with 5 years ago! I have had salads, clubhouse sandwich, and patty melt and they have all been above expectations. The buffet is so-so, but stick to the menu and you will be pleasantly surprised! Highly recommended!

The lounge and bar are great places to have a drink. The zoo (barhas a fun decor, jukebox, and pool tables.

Had the executive suite. Comfortable bed, cozy room. Had a private balcony. Close proximity to the beach, restaurant, bar, and liquor store attached to hotel. Staff very pleasant.

Great service. Restaurant has excellent food. Extremely comfortable bed. Hardwood floors in the rooms which was a nice touch.

Best brunch!! Very good teriyaki bowl too. Excellent space for larger groups

The room I had has to be one of the more interesting rooms I have stayed in. I had an electric fire place, a small back yard patio (that would be great to use if it wasnt filled with snowhigh ceilings, and a really comfortable bed. The floors were all hard wood and there were a few steps from my door into the room. There is a restaurant attached that serves up a decent breakfast. When the area is thawed it would make for a great place to stay if you were into boating on the lake.

Room was clean and nice upon arrival, staff was friendly. Nice location in town on the lake.Primary issue being the room doesnt get cleaned, the bed just gets made.Additionally, employees were running the ice machine in the hallway at 6 a.m. to fill up a garbage bucket. Took them a few minutes, machine is very loud. They need to revisit their policy on gathering ice at this time of day.Restaurant and staff there are AMAZING!

Staff friendly,helpful rooms clean ,modern. Little pricey but you are in Northern Saskatchewan its to be expected. Never a problem when I stayed there and Ive stayed a few times. Great restaurant friendly staff there too and great food. Tip well and thats what youll get. Good food good service.

Ordered cheeseburger and fries they got the fries right but sent back burger again to get cooked it still came back raw whos cooking over there? And the waitress complaining to us as customers that we complain too much....well if the burger was cooked right i wouldnt be here reviewing your customer service and food quality right? Well after the second time getting a raw burger well just have to say beware if the cook cant get cheeseburger and fries right what else cant he cook? And if your serving public wont be long till food posioning and victims suing your restaurant...until they hire a decent cook.

Tired but clean. Relatively quiet. Service in restaurant was terrible. I placed my order and after a 45 minute wait there was still no food. People who came in after me placed orders and were served their food. So I left. Very young and inexperienced staff. No management to be found during dinner hour.
