Great! This was a repeat visit to the hotel and as usual, I was more than happy with my room. The front desk staff was professional and welcoming. Quick check in and on to our room. Spacious, clean and the bed, inviting.Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Our stay in Birmingham Alabama was a spur of the moment decision due to Hurricane Ian. We were vacationing in the mountains and we were not able to make it back to Florida. Everyone at LaQuinta was so accommodating and friendly. Pat and Jermaine at the front desk were extremely helpful and kind. Actually, everyone that we encountered was kind and friendly. Our room was very quiet, spacious, comfortable, and clean. Our dogs had plenty of space to walk. Breakfast of coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, bagels, waffles and toast was provided and this location was close to shopping, dining and local attractions. Thank you all for helping us during a very stressful time and making our stay enjoyable.

I dont know whats up with all the bad reviews but I enjoyed my stay here! The location is good, staff was friendly and helpful, the room was nice, not too expensive, very convenient. Ill definitely be returning.

Staff does the best they can with what they have. This is an older property and needs some repairs. Toilet bowl and sink has prominent hairline cracks. Bath tub needs re-chalking and new slip proof surface patches. Mold under commode rim. Canteen has items 3 months past BB date. Masks for common/open areas are no longer important. 3rd floor hall carpet has stains years old,only 1 ice machine works (1st floor). Staff is polite and friendly,grounds relatively clean. Ive stayed here several times,many issues not new.

Was not happy with our stay. After checking in and walking in through the side door the hallway and stairwell smelt like people just smoke right there inside. The hallway carpets are heavily stained and the wall/doors are very dirty. Walked into our room and it was damp and smelt. Loud neighboring walls. Very outdated and old. I would not stay here again.

Absolutely disgusting!!!! Definitely dont wash walls or carpet. Everything is super old in room. Bed was worn beyond belief. No wall outlets to charge phones. Lamps didnt work for whatever reason. Even the lamp shade was stained..Outdated and horribly nasty!!

Thought this place would be awesome based on the reviews and location. It was not.The room was damp. Beds, floor, everything. Notified front desk, they came and checked it out, pretty much laughed at us and said it was "just cold." Put a shirt on the floor before putting it in laundry bag, stepped on it, came up with wet spots. Only reason we stayed was because we were exhausted from driving all day.Thoroughly enjoyed the parade of cats that kept coming through the parking lot all night, bumping their stereos so we could hear their garbage.Would not recommend unless youre desperate or on the run from a Terminator.

Exterior clean. Interior not. Dirty carpets in hallways. Trashcans outside overflowing. Continental Breakfast huge disappointment. No coffee at 730 am. Dry Cereal only no other choices. 830 am situation unchanged. Staff didnt seem to care. Coffee maker in room unusable Swimming pool was closed. The room was a nice size. With some TLC this could be a nice hotel.

We chose LA Quinta because of location and pool. No one told us, but the pool was not available. No apologies. The rooms were decently clean but super noisy. Every door squeeked. The ac was super loud and clunky when kicking on and off. It was ice cold when running but then hot when not.Morning staff was friendly. Tables were clean and decent selection for breakfast.

The location is in a great spot. Close to many restaurants and stores.The room was nice. However, we did not have any hot water. Everyone was complaining. at the front desk with the same issue. Was told that someone was coming to fix it. Several hours passed by. Me and my friend had to go down the street to shower at Planet Fitness. All the room did was offer a $20 credit. What an inconvenience to have to go shower somewhere else when you have places to be. After the person so called fixed the water. ALL front desk kept saying it has to build-up. We didnt have hot water until the late that night.

The toilet bowl had cracks in it and the shower rod wouldnt stay up to hold the curtain correctly. Sofa was dirty and the carpet felt sticky. Its a decent hotel if they would fix the issues. Also, I was told that the pool would be open and it wasnt. If I wouldve known that I wouldve went to another hotel.

Ive stayed in all sorts of hotels. But even "low end" ones have, for the most part been cleaned. This was not. Stayed in room 307... Bathroom wasnt clean at all. Pee all over toilet seat, tub still had all the soap scum from previous person. Hair in shower on toilet and sink area. Sink counter still had soap water from bar soap in a puddle. I assume nothing in that room was sufficiently cleaned, surfaces and behind things should be kept up. Gross! No matter how bad or price of hotel I expect it to be cleaned between guests.

We have stayed here several times the past few years and have not had any issues. On our recent stay we were impressed with the exterior updates when drove up but it went downhill from there. We requested a room on the parking lot level. When we arrived we were told one was not available as some guest stayed over an ectra night. When we asked about our second night changing rooms we told they were booked. But the parking had very few cars. Our room had several issues. The TV remote was not working properly. Rather than offering to help we were told to unplug and plug it back it. The TV was very small. We had a lamp that did not work and needed a new light bulb. We were told to come get one rather than them assisting us. The bathtub spout was loose and hanging out of the wall. The hair dyer holder was hanging from the wall and needed to be secured. The ice machine was not working on our floor we were told to go to another floor. We will be staying here again and will not be recommending this hotel.issues

Area nice but rooms had issues. Most LaQuintas Ive stayed in give had 4 pillows per Queen bed. I had 3 , 2 of which should have been thrown away they were so bad. Ice maker wasnt working. Shower didn work. Smoke alarm went off at 4:30 am and kept beeping until 5:30. No alarm clock. No do not disturb door hanger. Room adequate but not as nice as most Ive stayed in. Wouldnt recommend this place.
