La Provincia - Italian restaurant in North Wonthaggi, Australia
Seven of us enjoyed our lunch at La Provincia! Everything is delicious, all the staff are super friendly. We also appreciate the little organic shop at the entrance, so cute
The food was delicious, the staff very friendly. I recommend to everyone.
Had an excellent lunch.Stuffed pepper, coffee and cake.
Staff are just beautiful, food was on point an definitely a go to if your wanting excellent Italian food.Look forward to going back soon
Great food and reasonably priced. Lovely Al Fresco area. Friendly staff.
What a lovely lunch. We had our meal in the outside garden and it bought back memories of Italy. Great service, great food and magnificent fresh produce
This was a lovely place to enjoy a lunch with friends. Nice food, well presented and good size servings.
Delicious, home grown, hand made beautiful food, Veggies, pasta, bread, cakes and more.
The calamari is literally entree size, will not be enough for an adult as main. The pork ribs are more like chops and very average.
Great fresh food and friendly service
Great place. Decent wines at a great price, fruit and vegi market and great cafe with wide array of food at very inexpensive prices. Will go back.
A nice farm/restaurant with produce for sale. Set on 25 acres just near the Bass Valley Primary School as you head towards Corinella and Coronet Bay. A great stop on your way either to or from Phillip Island. This venue sells its own wine and olive oil along with other local grown and produced items. The coffee here is excellent and the cakes are also worth a try.
Lovely staff, food and shady courtyard to spend the afternoon. Delicious bruschetta and home-made balsamic reduction. Well be back
OMG! A little Italian goldmine. So welcoming. The menu in restaurant is inviting, so delicious and portions generous. The service, warm and efficient. Great selection of wines and of course Corona!! On the way out, puchased Nonnas salad dressing and egg pasta. Will be back, but someone needs to collect us 😂
Wonderful restaurant & fresh produce. Friendly service ad opposed to the Fig & the Bay which has teenage staff who seem to be doing you a favour servinh you. Like chalk and cheese. Can highly recommend La Provincia. Avoid Fig & the Bay like the plague.
I dropped in for a little snack & got this overloaded tomato cheese & ham toasted sandwich on doorstep size bread with real butter! I have to say I’ve never had one better ever.
We enjoyed a tasty meal in a simple rustic setting. Service was very friendly. We also tasted their range of wines and while these were cheap they did not impress us. Happy to recommend for a dining experience.
Delicisoso!Creamy pumpkin gnocchiPerfect mushroom bruschettaSauces full of flavour.Coffee smooth and great temp.Service unpretentious..and bought some spuds on the way out!
Very ordinary. Went for lunch. Ordered 2 milkshakes, black coffee, fish and chips and antipasto platter. No milk so no milkshakes. Fish was frozen oven meal fish. Antipasto plate consisted of a lot of lettuce, about 10 slices of salami etc and 2 small squares of feta and not much else. A plate of sliced bread with the smallest.drizzle of oil and herbs. Also very cold as heating was broken and had to wait ages for our meal. Sorry guys but totally different from the previous time i went there.
The big breakfast was good. The seating indoors is spacious and tranquil.
Service little slow but nice fod havn"t opened the wine as yet
Comprehensively ignored and made to feel invisible. Bread lady was nice.
Lovely to sit outside, great food and lovely staff. Not a huge menu, but very tasty food. We tried the mushroom bruschetta, tomato bruschetta, zucchini and leek Fritters and chips. Coffee was nice and bought some cakes to take home which were beautiful. Will definitely be visiting again
See my other review. I accidently put an incorrect review on this restaurant. This restaurant is excellent..
Cash Only. Full licenced. Xlnt classy Italian restaurant for lunches, and dinners. Possibly breakfast? Good menu. Good attentive staff & service. Nice quiet refined atmosphere.Has xlnt fresh fruit and vegetables to sell and fresh bread in the retail area. Well worth visiting.PLEASE NOTE my other review of 3 stars is NOT for this restaurant. It is for another one in Melbourne. I am trying to delete the review. My sincere apologies to La Provincia for this error.
Lovely olive bread great ham exceptional wine. Lovely ladies....all good.
Friendly family business serving excellent Italian based food and wines with excellent service and reasonable prices.Well worth a visit.
We love their fresh produce and Shiraz! Highly recommend stopping in.
Best service, food and atmosphere, loved it, will definitely be going again asap
Good sized meals tasty food.
Such a great place with extremely warm customer service. Absolutely would go again.
What a great place, we just had a good coffee and purchased a take home lasagne (home-madewhich was delicious. The owner Maria and the staff are a lovely bunch of people who make their customers feel very welcome. Well definitely be back to have dinner in the restaurant and as were moving to Corinella, lll be buying all my fresh vegetables and produce from there each week. Thanks for a pleasant experience 🙂
I haven’t been to this place but the website doesn’t show opening times and it’s very difficult to read the menu.I love Italian food and I would be interested in having dinner here. So please add business times and give us a menu we can read. The website is ordinary.
Beware of cash only businesses and of innocent looking little old ladies handling the till. Never be distracted when handing cash over as it quickly goes under the counter without proof of what was handed over. $6.00 dollar bread cost me 15.50 today. Good businesses should never run dishonestly. Wont be back
Wonderful place, beautiful food (breakfast), very friendly staff and excellent customer serviceKeep it up!
Good basic breakfast menu. Good service and reasonable price. Only accepted cash or EFT payment to their account details. No Credit Card.
After waiting 1/2 hour for our order to be taken, waiting longer for our food to be served... borderline raw chicken. When it came time to leave halfway through doing this another "lady" pushed in front of me and this was not acknowledged by staff either. Then to be informed eftpos was not available a very disappointing experience
They serve a very nice breakfast at La Provincia
Very good traditional Italian cuisine, excellent cappuccino and very attentive service. But cash only, so come prepared.
Picturesque surrounds, beautiful produce, lovely people and great food! What else could you want for a lovely afternoon? My wife and I have been here many times now and we never walk away unhappy. Take the time to have a "lazy afternoon" at La Provincia.
Great place to eat have coffee wine tasting fresh fruit and vegetables. Fantastic family owned friendly restaurant.
Love this place! Beautiful food , fresh produce at home on the family farm, very authentic Italian
A little hidden gem. Place has the best breaky I have had in a while
You really need to find out what your demographic is for your business. You are in a very good local area with lots of potential. You just need to focus on who you want your customers to be. Iran my own business for 38 years and Val ran hers with full time employment for 25 years. You may need some help, but you can make La Provincia a talking point and a place for coffee, breakfast, lunch, brunch, afternoon tea with cakes. It has to be organised and not by accident. Let me know if you want some help and practical suggestions. Tim and Val.
Average food and unfortunately hopeless waiting staff. If youre ok with having to repeatedly ask for someone to take your order and repeatedly ask where the drinks you ordered are then its a nice restaurant but if customer service is important to you and youre hungry, then think twice.
Cash only is meh - Coffee tasteless but eggs benedict and a big breakfast were great. 5 stars if you get your coffee game down and move into the 20th century...
Simply delightful in every way! Delicious food & wine, extremely welcoming staff, amazing deli & fresh produce. Thank you for a fabulous day Ill definitely be back.
Fine fruit and vegetables to be had that have been grown locally. Also has a Delicatessen with home made small goods. Sadly the small goods are very expensive compared to the deli in the supermarket.
Nice people but the special, chicken scallopini, was inedible. The veal was tasteless and like shoe leather. The bruschetta toast was burnt. They only accept cash and do not give an itemised bill. Overall disapointing. Not recommended.
Firstly, if you are desperate enough to go here, make sure you bring cash because even though this place is in the middle of nowhere they dont have card facilities whatsoever. My pasta was super greasy, meat was dry and sauce was tasteless. My bfs burger was old salad, overcooked egg and unseasoned beef patty between 2 slices of supercrunchy sourdough toast. His chips were boring and undercooked. The staff was friendly tho.Would not go back!!!
