Wow the place has gone down hillWhile our meals came out very quickly the Fettuccine Carbonara Pasta was very undercooked and bland compared to how it was a month ago whats changed ? No garlic taste and bad quality bacon.. 😭 The floor was dirty and sticky. The best thing was our wait staff: she was really friendlyId give La a 3 month wait to c if they get better esp with Ramon gone.

Great restaurant! Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. The pizza is soo fresh and delicious as well. Highly recommend

Excellent for a casual or professional experience of dining.No fuss good flavours and variety not shy on quantity either.Have improved immensely.Try this is a must Ill be back.

Food was okay, would have been acceptable but service was incredibly poor!!Took our drink order after being seated at 6.30pm having booked ahead. Took 40minutes to get drinks at table and food didnt arrive until 8pm, 1.5hours after being seated!!!!One of our guests ordered pasta and had finished eating before pizzas arrived!!!Kitchen/Bar understaffed and no one seemed to be managing it properly. Alot of staff walking around not doing much. One guy making pizzas for the whole restaurant, no wonder it took so long!!

Burnt my pizza so it tasted not so good. Absolutely ruined the chicken cranberry pizza.P.s dont serve burnt pizza! Remake it you amatures.

Wouldnt eat here again. While the wait staff were attentive the food was dismal . The pizzas were bland and badly made and the pasta dish was extremely bland and unseasoned. Stay away.

The only good thing about their Caesar salad was the lettuce.The latte was almost drinkable.

It was disappointing in general. That was to celebrate my partners birthday.We ordered a pesto gnocchi and a seafood platter. The pesto had a good flavour of pine seeds and basil, just too salty. The gnocchi itself was mushy as if its overcooked.The lettuce on the platter, its tip was dry and yellowish. The skin of every deep fried seafood was soggy. Were one of two tables in the lunch. The food gave me an impression of not being fresh. I coudlnt understand why they couldnt pay more attention as they seemed definitely not busy. One impressive thing was squid. Even if its still wet not crispy, its marinated so well. As I havdnt had any good squid in New Zealand, that was impressive.Overall, it just tasted okay. But when you consider the price over there, I would go for another option.P.S. the plates given werent tidy either. I believe either the server or the owner didnt ever glance at them before serving.

Tried to order online but couldnt went in-store ordered Calzone asked them to take the mushrooms out, got home 20 minutes away and they had left the mushrooms in lucky I checked first, didnt feel like having an allergic reaction.

We had an awesome dinner at La Porchetta tonight, the most awesome, attentive and considerate service Ive ever had. We had a table of 18, the kids orders were taken earlier so they didnt have to wait, the food was so fast, our 2 year old daughter was treated like the princess that she thinks she is, even the lovely man that looked after our table referred to her as Elsa who she was dressed up as 💘 So much amazing topping on our pizzas, drinks were great, such great prices for the amount of food. The atmosphere was great too. They younger guy that delivered a couple of things to our table had a bit of an oh ffs look and a debatable eye-roll when asked a couple of minor requests, but the main guy that looked after us was so friendly it made up for it. I was awesome taking a bunch of kids out for dinner and not being made to feel like we were in the way at all. Will definitely come back for more family dinners. Oh and the kids meal option was awesome too. 10/10 ✌🏻

The food was great, but some problems occurred which dampened our dining experience Sunday evening, the first time we visited the restaurant was a 12/10 experience with the mid day staff during the week was as welcoming and polite, leaving us with the impression that we should come back again as soon as possible. The food was amazing prepared by the kitchen staff and made the food to our specifications.We had decided to come back and bring an associate of ours as we had such a great experience previously and we wanted to share the great experience we had with our associate, but we where met with some complications that left a sour taste on our tongue. We felt that the Sunday evening staff were unorganised as we had politely asked twice to have new cups on our tables as the cups had dried food stuck on the clear drinking glasses and the second time we had asked for new cups we where met with the same unclean cups which left us to think that the staff wasn’t doing quality checks on the dining ware before serving it to the customers. The pasta we highly recommend to get and also the pizzas but alcoholic beverages is subpar as they where not made to the standard that even a normal person can make.We had ordered a basic double shot of alcohol mixed with soda but when it came to our table, we felt that it wasn’t made correctly due to the fact that the alcohol content in the tumbler glass was to low leaving us to think that it was diluted or we where not served a double shot as we requested. We where met with a possible diluted coke with ice and half a shot of Jamison whiskey as it was made by the current duty manager Sydney that Sunday evening.When asked if the drink we had ordered was a double shot, our waitress was very defensive when all we wanted was to confirm what we had ordered was correct and if it was made to the standard that we had asked him from the beginning. We proceeded to enjoy our meal, and asked our waitress for extra cutlery to eat our meal. We never received our cutlery after the waiter confirmed that would be ok.Overall, the food is good but the hospitality can do with more training.

The vegan pesto pizza here is amazing. Im not vegan but my friend is, and this particular pizza is out of this world. Probably if I went back thats all I would get. Unfortunately we didnt get the best atmosphere, also we had one plate come to us slightly dirty, and metal in one of our dishes from the metal cleaning scourer, it had made its way into our brocoli. The restaurant gave us half price for the dish but only after asking for a discount! Expected they would give us a discount after we mentioned the metal but he apologized without giving us a discount. So we had to ask for one. Im guessing he was hoping we wouldnt ask so that they could keep the money. So in terms of service Im sorry but thats not 5 star. Things like this happen, but it exposes how much you care for your customers.

There is something to be said for good Management Consistency and kind Staff.Meals are allways on point hot and they use fresh ingredients you get the feeling of being in safe hands here even during thease difficult times.Well done Ramon and your amazing staff allways worth a visit for meal.

Amazing “The Lot” pizza and service!!

We ordered the satay pizza, cheese garlic bread, carbonara pasta, lasagna, and beff ragu, it was all delicious, and the portions were massive for the price, we would literally fly into Dunedin from Wellington just to order from this restaurant again. Our waiter was really nice aswell, he was friendly and gave us his honest recommendations for a few things which was really helpful.

Great family restaurant. Friendly staff and food is good. Prices are fair. The large pizzas are good value and 3 can easily feed 4 to 5 people.

We had a chicken pizza and mushroom pasta in the restaurant last week and it was good! So got the same order for take away this evening and regretted- the pizza was too salty & the pasta had very lil to no salt- was just bland.

Good chefs special food...spacious seating arrangement...friendly customer service...however, the cutlery and glasses werent so impressive...they should change these.

Had our son 9th Birthday Party at LaPorchetta Dunedin which went very smooth and hassle free.Ramon - excellent host and made us feel very relaxed and comfortable. We had 6 kids. Everyone made their own pizza, then they bake it. Ramon made sure that pizzas dont mix up and everything was in order.Birthday boy got to keep his Mini chef apron and hat.At the end everyone received a voucher with complimentary meal which we can redeem later. Highly recommend 👍Thank you team!

My Family and I enjoy it everytime without fail. Such friendly service. I cant get enough of the Mushroom Fettuccine 😍. Kids get colouring in papers and crayons.

Amazing service, delicious food. We were looking for a quick yummy lunch . We were greeted by the front of house staff like we were regulars. So friendly and helpful and answered every question professionally and even had great suggestions. The risotto was scrumptious and the fettuccine was amazing. For a first quenching treat i a suggest a jug of lemon lime and bitters. We will definitely return if not just for the delectable pizza. Thank you team.

This place is incredible. The servings are very generous for the pricing of the menu. The staff are out of this world! We thought they were understaffed as there only appeared to be a few people working, so we expected there to be a bit of wait. We were mistaken big time! Food came out promptly, brought out by a very charming man, and was absolutely delicious.Whatever you do, do not pass on the platter - for an Italian place, their fried chicken, chips, and ribs were out of this world! If ever your down in Dunedin make sure to check this place out great service from Susan I think her name was..We ordered Chefs Special Hercules Platter came with 1 Rack of Baby Back Ribs, Fries, 8 pieces deboned fried chicken thighs. T-Bone Steak, Meatballs and Spaghetti.All dishes were packed with flavors that danced on your tastebuds.I would recommend changing up there table set up using the reusable napkins instead of the paper towels. Some of the cutlery and glasses werent cleaned properly which was a bad start. But overall the food and service was amazing..

Great food and customer service. The ambiance is good and spacious. You can actually organise a small party or gathering in this restaurant and the staff are very helpful with that.

My wife, mother and I had dinner here while she was in town and the food was amazing I had a pizza, my wife had the chicken schnitzel and it was just amazing! we loved the flavour and the amount you get for your money is worth it!! my wife had the Lava Cake and she couldnt stop talking about how amazing it was and that it was here favourite dessert and she said its the best thing she has ever tasted. Ramon was amazing and so friendly we will definitely be back and my wife will definitely be getting the lava cake again. Our favourite place to eat!

Very happy with the food and service I recieved at La Porchetta Dunedin. Finding a Ribeye Steak Main for a reasonable price and getting a decent amount of food seems rare these days.I would like to say that the food was very good, steaks cooked to perfection, atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, all around a great experience.I will return when Im next in Dunedin. Thanks Ramon and the team. Totally Satisfied!

We had a dinner at La Porchetta for 3 kids plus 4 adults! It was awesome!! Food was lovely, service was absolutely fantastic and atmosphere was awesome. Would highly recommend this restaurant for large or small groups. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and nothing was a problem!! Will definitely be back to try more of their delicious menu!!
