11 Quai Rauba Capeu, 06300 Nice, France, Nice
Abutting a cliff overlooking the city and the sea, this sophisticated hotel is a minute's walk from the beach, and a 6-minute walk from the Cours Saleya markets in downtown Nice.Bright rooms with modern, Mediterranean-style accents offer marble bathrooms, plus limited free Internet, flat-screen TVs and minibars. Upgraded rooms add terraces or balconies with sea or garden views, while suites add living areas. Room service is offered.Complimentary breakfast is served in a refined restaurant that has a bar and a terrace. Other amenities include a seasonal outdoor pool, a hot tub and a sauna, as well as a sundeck and a fitness room.
Wonderful, quiet location with beautiful sea views. Very friendly and helpful staff.
My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at La Perouse Hotel in Nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is great with a magnificent view of Nice and the shoreline of the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel staff were very helpful in arranging some last-minute tours and dinner reservations nearby. The room was clean, quiet, and large. The Patio restaurant was great for breakfast and lunch. We look forward to a return visit some day.
Fantastic location and great views from our balcony. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Needs an upgrade and paid a lot for a room with a shower over the bath. A walk in shower needs to be included in these prices. However, we would recommend a stay here.
We stayed here for a week for a bit of relaxation. The weather was excellent so spent a long time by the pool. It is a short walk into Old Nice where there are many lovely restaurants. The recommendations from the hotel were very good. On our first night we had a musical evening with dinner which was very good.
My husband and I came here for part of our honeymoon. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make out trip and stay feel so special. The views from the ocean view rooms are incredible. The top terrace where the patio and jacuzzi are incredible. Breakfast was delicious. Pool was great. Location was amazing - right at the foot of Old Town, the beaches, and the park right next door. We walked everywhere and could not be more thrilled with our stay. Id come back in a heartbeat and will recommend Hotel La Perouse to any and everyone who visits Nice.
We booked the Baie des Anges suite for the last 3 nights of our holiday in France. We wanted somewhere special near Nice old town. We were blown away by the balcony views and the complimentary champagne was much appreciated! The hotel has a wonderful sense of calm whilst being only a couple of minutes walk from the old town which was perfect. We ate twice at Le Patio and these were some of the best meals of our holiday. Many thanks.
I loved everything about this hotel, I hope to have the opportunity to return to Nice and stay here longer. Of the four hotels my daughter and I stayed at during our visit to the south of France, this was by far our favorite.
Average hotel for a 4 stars. Needs renovation. Overpriced for the level of service given. Poor breakfast selection. Asked for and omelette, came with clearly unfresh salad.
Amazing hotel. Location. Food. Staff are so nice!!!! Cool AC. Beds are comfy. Balcony room amazing view
A friend and I stayed here for two nights and it was perfect. The room was a very comfortable temperature during this summer heat. The views from the rooftop are amazing for the sunset. We spent a lot of time at the swimming pool and it is a great place to relax. The staff were very kind as well. I highly recommend this hotel for it’s wonderful location as well. Thanks for a great stay!
I got sick while traveling in France. Out of an abundance of caution I contacted a US-based tour operator we had used to cancel reservations, with the exception of my hotel, in case my illness turned out to be COVID. When I arrived at this hotel, wearing an N95 and just wanting to check in quickly and head to my room, a male desk agent confronted me in a very loud voice about COVID, including waving around a printed email from this tour operator about my health in front of other guests in the small lobby. I was absolutely overwhelmed, humiliated, in tears, and, at the time, unable to have a calm discussion about our stay because I was so emotionally distressed. I cannot understand why would he not speak more quietly, or ask to speak with me away from other guests? Regardless of ANY guests personal situation, this seems like an insensitive way to conduct business and his actions are hard to justify in terms of causing an unnecessary and wildly embarrassing scene. For that unprofessional incident alone, I would not recommend this hotel.
Absolutely lovely and beautiful hotel. We stayed there for 3 wonderful nights. The view we had from our little balcony was just breathtaking! The staff is very friendly and takes care of all your wishes. The bed was super comfortable. We had once room service breakfast on our balcony and it was delicious (and that view!). The pool area was also very clean and the pool perfectly tempered. I would come again in a heartbeat.
A delightful. hotel in every way. Rooms were. very comfortable and were. serviced beautifully. Breakfast and all meals could be enjoyed on a tree shaded patio. It was a very relaxing ambience and the pool and terraces were quiet and very pleasant.A good location near the old town and promenade. The staff were very helpful.Definitely a hotel. to return to.
This is the best 4 Star hotel in Nice, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else, nice rooms, spotless, great staff from the cleaner to the manager, central position, only fault sometimes the scrambled eggs were a little to cool, can’t wait to go back.
Beautiful view of the sea and beach from this amazing boutique hotel. Pool is fantastic. Great staff.
Truly amazing hotel. Everyone so kind and helpful. The place is immaculate and looks like something out of a fairy tale. Made the experience so worthwhile. Location is excellent too, hands down best in Nice!I have been to 60+ countries and many hotels and I found the hotel staff to be among the most helpful, effective, and amazing that I have found. From getting me a rental car (in the busiest week of the year!to making me feel so welcome from the very beginning. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Comfortable hotel but no valet service or parking makes having a car a pain.
We had a really fantastic time here, the facilities are great and the rooms are lovely, especially the beds! We had a excellent meal at the restaurant, which is a beautiful place to sit and is also where the breakfast is served. The cocktails in particular were very special. Most of all though, the staff are really helpful, friendly and professional and made the stay extra special. Thank you!
Superb location and amazing friendly staff. The hotel needs a bit reneval but it deserve 4 star for evaluation
Great hotel. Central location, but still quiet. Breakfast is marvellous. Rooms are tidy, wireless communications is reliable. Service is welcoming and swift.
We had a wonderful stay here. Such a charming hotel with an amazing and accommodating staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The views were some of the best.
Do yourself a favor and book this hotel. Everything about it is top notch. The staff are exceptionally helpful and professional. The rooms are quintessential French Riviera. The views are amazing. The service is excellent. The location cant be beat.
BEST VIEW IN NICE - so happy we stayed here. Very helpful and accommodating staff and the perfect location, we didnt want to leave. Would definitely come back and recommend to everyone. :)
Perched at the Castle Hill end of the Bay La Perouse is perfectly placed as a base to explore the City, Port and Promenade Des Anglais. The hotel has a modest entrance but walk through to the rooms positioned further back. Sea view rooms are worth stretching for. Not cheap and it’s four rather than 5 stars.
Great location and very kind and helpful staff. Clean rooms (albeit smelling of cheap car deodorantand generous breakfast buffet. So, why only 3 stars? The hotel looks tired starting from the reception (not what one would expect from a 4* hotel), all the way through the dining room (unattractiveand the bedroom. The view is great, the building has great potential, but interiors are disappointing - overall value for money is not great.
The Hôtel La Pérouse Nice Baie des Anges was just a great experience and really made our trip to Nice very special. The room was a good size and the balcony, although quite small, had the most amazing sea view. We only had lunch there once as we wanted to be out exploring, but the food was excellent, as were the staff. The pool was lovely and warm and was never too crowded, and there was the added bonus of a roof terrace with jacuzzi on the 6th floor. The hotel is perfectly situated within a few minutes walk of the beach, old town and the port, as well as sitting right next to castle hill and the park / gardens.Overall a superb stay. Thank you La Pérouse.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel for a family celebration. The best things about the hotel is the location on a hillside under a park (the old castle ruinsnext to the old town (5 mins walk to lots of bars and restaurants), the view (we had sea view rooms - it is worth paying for), and the wonderfully friendly staff (Kristin at reception and the energetic and cheery lady running the breakfast service, which was good standard buffet breakfast. The breakfast/lunch patio is really nice as is the pool next to it.Why not 5 stars? I think the hotel is slightly "rustic" and some parts could do with a bit of redecoration. There access to the hotel is fiddly via a lift from the street level lobby to the hotel which is actually on a different building 6 floors up (hence the great view). My room was decorated in beige/brown with a brown carpet, but apart from that i thought it was fine, and I enjoyed sitting on the little balcony. The bed was excellent and the bathroom was nicely tiled and clean. The air-condition worked well and was quiet. There is a safe in the room, too. The WiFi works but was weak in my room.I would come back here if I come to Nice again and want to be near the old town.
Facilities and Old Town location were very nice. Its an old building and the elevator situation is a little unusual, but upkeep is really good. Pool is wonderful and clean. If you have a sea view room, the views from the balcony are out of this world beautiful. All that said, given the size of the room and the sparse and cheap furnishings inside, rooms are extremely overpriced. Restaurant is also extremely overpriced and food is not good. Buffet breakfast was not very good, but you can have a nice continental breakfast delivered to your room instead which I recommend, especially if you have a nice balcony to enjoy it on! I would recommend the hotel overall if prices were lower, but would not recommend the restaurant for dinner given all of the other wonderful options nearby with phenomenal food (we paid 20eur more for a fabulous dinner at Le Plongeor, for example. Go there for dinner!)
We loved this hotel. The sea view from the room outside the balcony was magnificent. It was quaint, located in Old Town close to everything, and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend the full sea view rooms with balcony, worth the extra price. We also got the breakfast plan and it was delicious. Though pretty much the same thing everyday, there was a decent amount of choices and the dining area was large and colorful. Keep in mind we were there early January so it was an off peak time, thus the prices were much lower and not crowded. There is a little bit of maneuvering using 2 small elevators to get to the top floors. Otherwise there are stairs up, but quite a bit of a climb. Make sure this is not an issue for you. I highly recommend this hotel and have posted pictures to give a better idea.
The hotel is lovely in a wonderful location for viewing the sea and walking through old town or climbing Castle Hill. The staff from front desk to housekeeping are so pleasant and helpful. The rooms and the hotel itself are very nice and pleasing. The beds and pillows are firm if you like that when sleeping (I prefer a softer bed with feather pillows myself). The pool and area around the pool was very relaxing and lovely to enjoy a warm afternoon sun bathe. Room service was excellent, from the food to the delivery presentation. However, we were quite disappointed in the breakfast buffet and bar service. Many of the foods that should have been served warm (like pancakeswere cold and the scrambled eggs were always runny. It was quite the departure from the level of quality experienced in the rest of the hotel. Overall it was a lovely stay but I would recommend an improvement on breakfast.
The fact that this hotel is part of Small Luxury Hotels builds up expectations. And the experience does not meet that unfortunately. The hotel needs a makeover, from the reception and up. Some very nice facilities like swimming pool, rooftop terrace and jacuzzi. Good bed and turn down service. But you don’t feel like a 4 star hotel, and it does not live up to the pictures on website or description. Booking on their website gives you complimentary breakfast, something we did not do.Location is good, between port and old town.
We stayed for a week in this pleasant hotel at the base of the “Château”. Our room had a large terrace overlooking the sea and could not have been more charming. The staff was attentive and the breakfasts were very good. The hotel’s location was terrific, on the edge of the old town and across the street from the promenade. Overall, a fine hotel with a good staff and location. Not a bad combination.
Built into the side of a cliff just below the city park. Magical. The worlds tiniest elevators (three people is the limit if theyre all small). Great pool, wonderful view. The gym seems claustrophobic but you open the doors and smell gardenias, lilac and hear the according player at the park overlook... Just great. You walk through the restaurant to get to the pool, but thats just fine. Food is very good but expensive compared to many local choices. Great breakfast.
We stayed Friday and Saturday night beginning of November, which was the end of our honeymoon in the French Riviera.Would recommend booking with the hotel directly as you get complimentary breakfast and nice communications with them beforehand to note your requests, details and any notes. We had mentioned it was our honeymoon and so during welcoming they congratulated us...and upgraded us from our deluxe room with sew view to the suite (room 511). The suite has its own gigantic private terrace with own jacuzzi, providing amazing views of nice!Hotel location is great; nestled into the castle hill and therefore sitting above the promenade makes for great views out and looking at the hotel on the walk home. They have a outdoor pool (heated for out of seasonand cute bar and eatery (Le Patio)...we didn’t eat or drink from here so can’t comment but it did look nice and the menu interesting. It’s a hotel with character and history, so not a super modern hotel inside if that’s what you want. But if you want a more authentic and traditional french hotel feel then it’s great. We were lucky with our upgrade so can’t comment on the normal rooms.Staff were excellent at check in and welcoming us every time we left and came back.Would recommend for a short stay!
You cannot beat the location of this hotel -- it is located toward the end of the Promenade and the rooms offer such spectacular views of the city and Mediterranean. The hotel is very old -- the rooms are dated, but clean, and the bathrooms have been updated. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They offer a free buffet breakfast and the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner as well. Lovely terrace off the restaurant and a very large one on the rooftop. We enjoyed our stay there very much!
I cannot say enough good things about this place. We had a beautiful room with a massive (and I mean massiveprivate balcony/terrace. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful, the food (at the private restaurantis amazing, and the pool is spectacular. I proposed to my fiancé on the very first night here on our balcony - it was truly wonderful. We will not soon forget this place and will certainly be back for another visit. I highly recommend La Perouse Hotel to anyone looking for a remarkable boutique hotel experience in Nice.
