La Ménagère - Restaurant in Florence, Italy
The place is charming, it’s full of flowers and the dishes are really good. A little bit expensive compared to other places but totally worth it.I’ve gone a few times and I’ve ordered the Delia salad and the salmon baguette and they were awesome.
Went here for a quick meal and the service was super fast. The place itself is amazing and so many people stopped by just to take pictures. Coffee was good and the eggs felt so fresh.
Seven years ago I found myself wandering aimlessly through Florence enjoying the energy of the city on a busy evening. I found La Ménagère quite by happy accident & was immediately dazzled by the ambiance and charm of the space and was equally impressed by the quality of the food and the delicious cocktail I enjoyed with my dinner. So, when I found myself in Florence again this week, I wasted no time to get back!I’m quite sad to say that my experience this time left me feeling like some things are best left in memories alone. Service was slow, though kind. I ordered the risotto with “zucchini flowers”, prawns and lemon. What I received was an oversized bowl plated with what amounted to *maybe* 3/4 cup of undercooked rice, and what looked to be like one prawn (undercooked as wellcut into 7 small pieces, sans zucchini flowers and all seasoned with too much lemon and poorly balanced. When the server asked about my meal, having noticed that it was mostly untouched, I shared my disappointment with her and why. She apologized, did not offer an alternative and charged me the full price for the dish. I appreciate the aesthetic that La Ménagère offers up, but without substance to back up its surface beauty, I would hesitate to recommend the experience to anyone for anything other than a cursory walk through to appreciate the curated decor. Staff ought to take better care to back their menu up, particularly when charging such prices for such an underwhelming dish.
The large tables and variety of delicious food options make this great for a family gathering. We brought 10 people and everyone was impressed and very happy with our choice.Even with a large party, the food came out at the perfect pace and we were well taken care of.
the place is beautiful but ridiculously overpriced. A nice atmosphere is not worth paying what sums up to be 3€ for each raviolo (for a total of 21€ for eight ravioli).
It is a cute place nearby centre Florence: combination of a living/book store and cafe. The menu is a little bit overpriced in my opnion, and there was really only a little bit syrup on our pancakes (we didn’t expect the American standard, but the syrup was really barely to see). The coffee/espresso was verg good and we found many interesting English cooking books. Nice stop for morning brunch.
Walked by this place and was stunned by its beauty. I figured that someone who POF that much attention to detail in design probably paid attention to the food too. I was not wrong. MB rating 9.
Great atmosphere with calm music and stylish interiors. Definitelly recommend for a morning coffee or brunch.
Nice bistro, hip setting. A bit €€.I ordered the avocado bagel with salmon, and a cup of coffee (Americano). The coffee was not a full cup, and most definitely not hot (5 €). The bagel, however, was very good (18€). Total bill just coffee and bagel 25.50 €. So, not really a good bang for your buck. But the ambiance is pleasant and centrally located.
Lovely cocktail bar. Good selection and good advice from the barman. Cocktails come with a lovely sampler tapas, really nice touch. Great sitting outside watching the world go by.
Cannot recommend it enough. Probably one of the best cafe/restaurants Ive ever been in. The food is truly excellent, so is the coffee. The service is on point as well. But what makes this place amazing is the atmosphere. There are multiple rooms, each different with some great interior decoration, books, flowers etc. Chill music too. Its pretty pricey but definitely worth it for tourists.
This was one of my favorite places in Florence.Beautiful atmosphere, but not this time.Million extra charges, vegan burger was just horrible, literally vinegar burning your tongue. Aperol for 13€ +10% VAT. (Probably the most expensive in town, and a waiter Who doesn’t even pick empty plates after you finish eating. Even though he walked and saw us.
Came here for lunch. This place is a little bit on the expensive side, but still worth it. Had the French toast and the Avocado-hummus toast. Everything was very good. Also had my first iced latte since arrriving in Italy (been here for a weekand it was nice! The decorations/atmosphere at this restaurant were very cute and it made the experiance nice
Beautiful Café with a nice ambience BUT it is very pricey! The portions are very small, you literally get two pancakes for 12 € and Cappuccino for 3,50€.
La Menagere was a fun and unique experience. The restaurant itself was probably the nicest/most beautiful restaurant we had been to in Italy. The food itself was non-traditional and creative. The service was good as well. A great spot if youre looking to give yourself a break from the more traditional Italian food. We did a prefixed menu which was all beautifully plated and delicious.
The place is stunning, but the food we order didn’t had flavor, the coffee bitter. Wouldn’t return
Absolutely stunning! A must see place if you happen to be in Florence.
managed to eat here without a reservation by chance on a Sunday night in Florence. obviously brought in by how beautiful it is! pricing was a bit high but we hoped it would live up.it was the first pasta I didn’t like.. maybe in my whole life?! And I am Italian American. nettle ravioli, super bitter sauce. The cheese plates were minimal for 21€ (and we were in Paris the week before!), a bit funky but fine. The crudo with mango granita was AMAZING! fresh bread & local butter also amazing. So the meal had it’s moments.probably better to just go for drinks & a fancy bite.10/10 for design + ambiance, no question! florist making bouquets while you eat is a fun experience & the space is really memorable.
Beautiful place with interesting deco and plants, very delicious food, kind staff and friendly atmosphere.
The dishes here are rather extraordinary, although made of simple ingredients. We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.Thank you.
Theres no doubt this place is visually stunning. On looks and ambience alone, this place could get 5 stars. The music is pleasant, the furniture is aesthetic and comfortable, and theres an overall upscale feel - which you pay for in the food, but neither quality nor quantity.I ordered a smoothie and Ive never seen someone put ice cubes in a smoothie before. It seems like a way to short how much they actually give you. The smoothie itself tasted like water with a couple of blended berries. I was really surprised based on the menu description. The banana bread was dry with little flavor. Another example of shorting you on portions despite the hefty price. This may sound critical but whats the point of having such a nice place if it doesnt offer anything good? Feels more like a money trap in that case.
Superior dining experience in an airy, beautiful space. I had to admit I hesitated before coming here as some other recently posted menus looked uninspiring. I was very wrong - lots of interesting, very well crafted food and cocktail options. Had a great night!
Really beautiful restaurant and bar. We stopped by for a drink and some light bites outside and loved it. Would definitely return for dinner to experience the setting inside.
Super nice place, great food, good music, super vibe! But if the service is bad, it is just not a good time there anymore. Today the waiter was not polite, hardly said a word, when asked he just turned around with no answer and let us wait for ages even though we asked several times.... just dissapointing.
Lunch after Pitti in Florence Nice lay-back atmosphere nice music menu is small but with great dishes nice to go to and to visit the store and restaurant will absolutely come back next time
Must visit place in Florence, very good coffee, lunch and seating, perfect as a remote work place. The place is beautiful with lots of attention to details.
Service is slow and cool to the point of being unfriendly, but worse than that, the portions are absurdly small. When I suggested my 80 gram secondo (mainwas inadequate, the manager explained that some dishes are bigger than others, like I should have known better. No discount or remedy was offered. After paying 255 Euro for dinner (4 peoplewe hit the street for pizza al taglio. IMO, the restaurant owners need to make some serious changes; however the location is very central and the tourists flock to La Ménagère on account of its curb appeal. Dont be fooled! Its a literal case of style over substance.
Cozy and calm stop next to the busy and noisy center to rest and disconnect, prices higher than usually but is really worth it, the decoration is magical
I love this place and everything about it. It’s a mix of a shop, bakery, restaurant, flowers shop and music all under the glass ceiling. Food was delicious. I’d love to go for dinner there when they have musicians in.
Beautifully floral decore offering a lovely menu from breakfast favorites to all day dining ☕️🥐
Very poor service. We ordered a few drinks, pancakes and a croissant. The croissant never made it out and we flagged our waiter down after a 10 minute wait from receiving our pancakes. He not only didn’t acknowledge it but never came back. A bus boy however came over and asked if we needed anything and he informed us they were out but he brought over a second option which we politely declined. That bus boy was a great guy, the waiter on the other hand classless and not professional. Utter disappointment after being excited for the ambiance and experience.
I could eat here four times in one day…and I have before and will again! This restaurant is truly one of my happy places. I’ve never had a bad item here whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or cocktails. Service is also incredible. I received the same level of attentiveness and care for a €3 espresso order as for a €300 elaborate dinner. Cocktails are also excellent. Definitely take a look at their specialty cocktails
Fantastic ambiance as a place! Ideal for drinks or food!sea bream ceviche was a m a z i n g! Totally recommended!
Food was fantastic, esp as a breakfast place! We had 4 very different sets of food and pretty much all of them were good. Quality of the cooking was good, as was the presentation. Staff was very polite and courteous as well, decor was stylish! Not a budget place, but great dine in experience. Worth a visit!
The food is ok.. certainly not worth the price. We had a few dishes and the portions are tiny. Glass of house wine is €10. Youll easily find much tastier places all around Florence.. sure, it is pretty and has a nice climate but thats about it.. Ive had a better duck basically in every other place around Europe so if youre inexperienced you might rate it as a top tier place.. disappointed...
Should have a Michellin Star. Best restaurant Ive eaten in for some time. Service, food and ambiance 10/10. A jewel in the crown of Florence.
Great place with very pretty interior design and professional staff. They have many special cocktail options (sadly non are without alcohol). Toilets hygiene is sadly really bad.
Extravagant interior design and good food, big plus for checking Covid green passes on the entrance and great service and atmosphere. If you’re looking for a spot to chill a bit In between sightseeing and evening activities be sure to visit this one!
We went there for a cup of cappuccino but the restaurant was so welcoming, spacious and beautifully designed that we decided to eat. You feel like sitting in five star hotel restaurant. The food was so delicious and the service was good.
Very beautiful place to eat your breakfast in Florence. Very modern and cosy. Tried the poached egg with hummus and avocado was nice Also the croissant was perfect.
A lovely, spectacular interior. The combination of flower shop, book shop and restaurant is certainly a delightful idea. My breakfast no so much. Poche egg was more on the hard egg side; the toast was cold and mushy, the café latte very diluted coffee combined with a sea of milk served in a tall glass. Not my cup of breakfast. Lacks a clear profile. Ambiance screams French; the menu uncertainty. If you are up for an undefined and disappointing expensive experience then this is your place.
Very pretty and relaxing place. There are flowers everywhere, which really enhance the decor and make the place stand out. Their selection of tapas is unusual yet tasty and creative. Prices are on the steep end.
This is a very beautiful restaurant with amazing decorations. So its perfect for your social media if youre into this kind of stuff :D the menu is beautiful as well. The service was okay, its a little bit expensive though. We had a coffee and a croissant and they were alright, but nothing special.
On a Saturday evening 6pm, the waiting time to be seated inside doesnt exceed 10min. The place is charming and the drinks come with sides. If you like vermouth, I recommend the Ferrari & Mary for 16 euros.
We went to this beautiful modern restaurant thanks to a friend’s recommendation and the evening was just perfect!Lovely and romantic atmosphere, tasty and delicate food, amazing cocktails!Staff was professional and friendly!Definitely recommended!
One of the most beautiful places I have ever been to.The staff are amazingly friendly and even the simplest Cup of coffee is delicious
I have breakfast here at the bar often. Each visit is an aesthetic pleasure from the space and atmosphere of the restaurant 🤍
the ambience is amazing, there was a piano player and the location itself is worth a visit but the staff not very customer friendly. Only after asking several times a waiter came to serve us and when we got our drinks it was quite meager - no coasters, no snacks,.. they did apologies for their poor service when we told them about our experience.
Unforgettable night! A must go while visiting Florence! In a magical romantic atmosphere, chef Eres Ohayon exceed all expectations and created a sophisticated and delicious menu using fresh ingredients. Everything from service to desert is 5 stars!
Very nice food, you can feel the “garden” theme throughout the tasting menu. Reasonably priced wine list and great cocktails. Beautiful garden. A few slight glitches in service, but I would definitely recommend a visit when you are in Florence. 4,5 stars -> 5 for the food, wine and location, 4 for the service.
