Piazzale Michelangelo, 1, 50125 Firenze FI, Italy, Florence
La Loggia del Piazzale Michelangelo - Restaurant in Florence, Italy
A trip to florence is not complete if you dont visit piazzale michelangelo. It has the best view of florence where you can see the whole city from above. We had lunch in this restaurant..the view was amazing “overlooking florence” and the food was delicious. One of the vest destinations in FlorenceHighly recommended
Great view of Florence thats absolutely unique, that itself is worth a visit. Do only drink here though, as the meal is both expensive (for Florence and in generalas well as slow.
Mediocre food and appallingly poor service standards. Would recommend to enjoy the view at the Piazzale for free and have dinner elsewhere.
Great view, good food! A bit overpriced.
Lovely atmosphere with a great view and greenery. We had a truly delicious burger and salad, both outstanding.
Awful service and incredibly disrespectful. The chief of waiters is the worst, treated us like we were stupid and started “cleaning the table” and spayed us with cleaning products.
Romantic place especially at sunset. View over Firenze - amazing. Everything and when I am saying this it means absolutely everything (starting with service table, music, food quality, drinks and so onwas perfect. Young lady from "bistro side" who is managing area from all point of view - impeccable. Nothing cons. Well done! Hope when I will be back (very soonto be at least the same!
atmosphere And live music was nice but was such wrong decision to bring there VIP persons.waiters are mostly not checking your table even if you wait to call them by the luck you might take their attention. The food we order was fried seafood which was small dry piece which seems the low quality freezing type and the dressing of the filleto also was not even close taste of what they explain ….The salad was nice and also cocktails was nice ( Tourist spot better to chose this place just for a drink …)
After hiking up the hill and taking in the beautiful vies of Florence, selfies and vistas, stop and linger at this restaurant with a magnificent view! The service and the quality of food is amazing! I strongly recommend it
Great view excellent service and amazing food! The costata Chianina was melting in the mouth I booked for our wedding anniversary and they offered us a nice glass of Prosecco before sitting at the table! The dj - musician entertainment was also great. Very talented. I just wish customers would dress up a bit more to fit the elegant location. But it’s ok most of turists are not Italian so they don’t know the Italian job🤣🤌🏼
the place has very good view and pleasant ambience and the quality price was ok ,but we had an unpleasant and a disrespectful service by all the staff (personel they were not welcoming and they had a very irrespectable way with us as a clients...SHAME!
Just a tourist restaurant. Food was ok not impressive. Everyone come here for the view. That is what you pay for.
The waiter was very nice i will come back because of him even we ask to change our table because of the sun and the supervisor say "no" and there was to many table free
Try mojitos there specially lemon 🍋
Don’t order maiale (porkor beef. They do not have any flavor at all. Terrible service. There are many better places. The only thing this restaurant has is the view.
Overpriced for such kind of food… bad service. Don’t have dinner there just because of the view
bad Service, unfriendly ,arrogance cheap and get dry bread for it, take money for the table extra....never ever.... i cannot recommend because i am a Restaurant Manager from Berlin, i know what a good Service are!
Terrible experience. Stay away. Pros....good view. Cons...stale bread, lousy service, forgot half our order, servers cant speak English, karaoke style terrible signing which is way too loud.Do yourself a big favour and stay away from this place. Drive up the hill, see the view, eat somewhere else.
Do NOT go for the food, go for the view. Amazing view and sunset, unbelievable…but the food is rather poor quality, late arriving and albeit staff is somewhat friendly, you can get an amazing Italian dinner anywhere else in Florence at half price and infinite better quality.
Do not miss! Wonderful people, location, and sunset views!Wow --- there are no (sufficientword to describe this ristorante and location. It is simply amazing. We hosted two groups at La Loggia this summer. Enea (the event managermade every detail of each event amazing. From our initial contact he was personable, caring, detail oriented, and ready with ideas and advice. His attention to everything made it easy for us to enjoy the events. On the event days he checked every detail personally and was on site in case of any needs. Each event was flawless thanks to him!The location is the best in Florence. The sunset over the Ponte Vecchio and the Arno River is stunning and just above the crowds of the Piazelle Michaelangelo. If you are fortunate enough to travel to Florence - do not miss this wonderful restaurant.Bonus - You are not rushed but given plenty of time to enjoy the evening. As Americans, we can perceive this as being ignored or not paid attention to but, it is the Italian culture to allow people to relax and just enjoy the company and the evening.Thank you Enea for two unforgettable events! Without your care and hard work, these amazing evenings would not have been possible.
Nice view but total tourist trap, terrible food. If your going to come here just take a drink and leave before you want to eat
Good food, good service
The food was mediocre. My veal was overcooked and dry. The only good thing about this restaurant is a view. There are so many other good restaurants in the city.
Horribly overpriced for average tasting food. Paid 20 Euros for 3 pieces of potato with 3 small pork medallions on it. The service is pathetic. They only exist because of the view. Would not recommend to anyone.
Horribly overpriced. Food average at best. We had to ask for service more than once. A complete tourist trap. Avoid this at all cost.
It was a shame I wanted to share dinner with my mom and the guy at the entrance told us that the restaurant was full, we had no reservation, until that point ok, then a couple came also with no reservation and they got in… the reason I am giving just one star is because when I asked for feedback about the why we were denied the access just some minutes before, there was not plausible explanation….. if they would have told me, look your dress code does not fit well our preferences, it wouldn’t have been all right, I could have understand that kind of feedback, but that is the thing there was not feedback…. U can do better
This restaurant has a great view but it’s food is not as good as it looks. I almost bit into my sandwich with a huge fly on the piece of lettuce. My friends coke bottle had rust around the top of it. Would not advise eating here.
Solid food, not as expensive as they could make it based on the location and view, amazing sunset, staff is amazing too, Carlos the maître d made our experience amazing
We visited and had a meal, and were extremely disappointed. The initial service was great - we had a waiter come and seat us, and gave us menus and time to decide. Once we ordered, the food and drinks took some time, which was understandable as there were quite a few people. The waiters however did not ask how we wanted the steak done. When the food arrived, the steak looked good on the outside but was almost entirely raw. We told several waiters, and had to ask repeatedly for it to be taken back and well done before any staff did anything. We also had to ask three or four times for a wine list at a later point, and never even got one. The food was okay, and the view was excellent which are the sole two reasons I’m giving two stars.
After my best friends wedding, we came here for brunch. The restaurant was very clean and had friendly staff. The views from the patio where we sat were impeccable. It overlooks the entire city of Florence. Very picturesque. Across the street they have market vendors selling souvenirs. You can also take photos at the viewing points. The only reason I did not give a 5 star was due to the lack of restrooms. They have one bathroom for the men so there was constantly a line. The women have a couple so the line for them was never really long. Overall this is a solid place to enjoy delicious food and see beautiful views of the city.
Nice view. Not great service - I’m 20 and traveling alone and they sat and served an older couple way before me (I had to flag someone down eventually to order). Nobody has been outright rude, and I’ve still had better service. The food is like spaghettios... I’m not kidding. The pasta is so thick that I cannot twirl it, the meatballs remind me of canned pasta in the US. I have anemia and so I ordered spaghetti and meatballs so I’d get some iron. Hopefully it was just this dish that isn’t good. The drink is fine (French 75). Basically, if you are looking for expensive, tourist food then this is the place.
Lovely view and location at sunset BUT do you think this looks like good bruschetta?
Best location, good foods and drinks, high level service.I can recommend this restaurant.
We had lunch here on a summer afternoon some time ago. The place was busy preparing for a wedding taking place later that day, but the staff accommodated my family and served us a grand meal. This restaurant served us some of the best pasta we’ve had. With the views, the whole experience was spectacular. Chris, our waiter, was a true gem. We truly enjoyed our time here!
Very nice place with a trendy atmosphere. Nice deep house music on terrace. Aperol was nice, also a good wine selection. Food was good, especially the melanzana parmigiana, avocado toast was mediocre. Friendly and attentive staff. Quick service. Worth the visit
One of the best choices for lunch or dinner ! With panoramic view, friendly staff ,super delicious dishes and parking around :I will be back!
We had a party of 17 and a very good experience. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view. The food, drinks, and service were all very good. Highly recommended.
The views are unreal. Go at sunset!! They’re also open all day, they don’t close like other places midday. Which is good to know!!
Still not a high end place. The location serves them very well, obviously. The ambience and the decoration is lovely but as per other reviews the green carpet ruins it. Also the deck isnt very stable at some places and you can feel the stomping of the waiters. Was glad that we got seats even without reservation. The food quality is really good. The steak was properly done and excellently seasoned. Wine chose was very good too.The service is also good but the waiting is a bit more than it should be.All in all it is a recommended place for a fancy little celebration if you are willing to pay the extra 30% of what you do in other places. Reserve in advance.
Good service, not great food. The main courses were below average. Wine, cocktails and deserts were quite decent. The view is great! The prices are higher than the quality they offer. The atmosphere was quite pleasant though and we had a good time.
By far the worst food any of us had in Italy. Everything tasted like it was out of a box or can and microwaved. Service was terrible. Stay away from this overpriced tourist trap!
Good food. Ok service. A little expensive. Good view. The music on the outdoor terrace was also quite loud. A couple next to us asked to turn it down and the staff was not accommodating.
Piazza Michelangelo is on a hill on the south bank of the Arno River, just east of the center of Florence, and offers a stunning view of the city. It doesn’t really matter what time of the day you get there because in both day and night you can see a spectacular view of Florence. You can also find a bronze copy of David statue there. If you’re just walking from downtown Florence, you could just pass the Arno River which is a scenery itself and then walk up to the Piazza Michelangelo although I have to admit that the walk gets a little intense with all the stairs that you need to climb up.you can also take a bus or drive up there and there is a 72 spot dedicated parking that you can use to park your car there.By the way, while you are up there, probably it’s a good idea to chill out in La Loggia Del Piazzale Michelangelo which has a great view of the Piazzale Michelangelo and the city and also drinks and environment were great there.
Dinner with a view from Piazelle MichaelAngelo m! Breathtaking views + delicious food + beautiful music and amazing service = a great night in Firenze! We shared a bunch of contorti and all were fresh & delish. Roasted potatoes, beans in olive oil, grilled veggies and mixed salad
The view is quite good!Service is great! But everything comes with a price.Their red wine is really good.If you are not sure what to choose, you may ask for a little to taste first.Steak is very juicy.Little bit oily, but not too much.I ordered a medium one, and it was perfect! The steak costs around EUR 50 with about 600g. Id say its still too expensive even with that good view, the good service, and the taste. But after all, this place still worth a try~ its much more romantic than any other similar restaurants I have ever been to in Florence.
Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Food was delicious. Service was great. Highlight of our trip.
Food was good plus, not great ... service was good plus tooBut who cares - the reason for eating here is the view and especially of sunset and evening views over FlorenceWe nearly didn’t get here, except for a friend’s recommendation - we would recommend everyone do it for one eveningTip: book a table for sunset... get a taxi to the balcony view or Loggia about an hour before sunset ... enjoy the view, then go eat .... watch the sky/view change as you eat and the sun goes down ... during dessert prep (souffléor after meal ... take another stroll down to the balcony to see the view at night!Fantastic
Friendly staff, live music, fresh food, great view of Florence and not overly priced considering the location (we ate at the bistro so the prices were moderateOverall, a perfect evening!
Decent desserts, expensive. Average service. But everything is ruined by the annoying pigeons running around the place flying onto customers tables and so on. They give you a feeling of unease when youre trying to enjoy the view or your drink.
High end restaurant and Bistro - review for Bistro below.Unjustified expense for average and below- average food.- €9 beer..- €15 mayonnaise sandwich. Seemed to contain bacon, chicken, salad and egg, but these did not have any flavour or texture, so maybe they were holographic.- Unwelcoming staff :-(- Fantastic view... but that doesnt excuse poor service or food.
