To dość stara rzeźba przy kościele, ale ma swoją historię. Jeśli ktoś pocałuje lwice w pewna oczywista część ciała wróci kiedyś do Girony. Tak było jeszcze przed pandemia, były ustawione schodki dla turystów a obecnie można tylko popatrzeć. Chyba nie jest to możliwe. Mimo to fajna ciekawostka i łatwa do znalezienia w mieście.

Segunda vez que visito Girona en mi caso volví después de besarla según cuenta la tradición. Ubicada al lado de la basilica y muy cerca de la catedral y su casco antiguo.

Il monumento è ovviamente molto consumato e in questo momento non è possibile accedervi direttamente per via del covid, ma si vede bene comunque e da perfettamente lidea del significato di questa statua nella storia. Particolarmente importante è la targa che replica la statua in miniatura e racconta la storia del monumento. Il luogo intorno per altro è pieno di bar, gelaterie e ristoranti quindi dopo la foto di rito si può decidere di sedersi a prendere qualcosa o salire la scalinata per visitare la chiesa di San Feliu.

If you ever find yourself walking down Placa Sant Felix and happen to pass Lhostal de la Lleona, take a moment to look for stone column with a sculpture of a decorative lion, that looks like it’s climbing up. Kiss that lions behind cause it might just save your life. No … just kidding. This is another one of those rub/kiss a sculpture thing that supposedly brings good luck. Go ahead if you believe in that kind of thing.Theres also a plaque near the lion describing I think the origin of this superstition (in Spanish).

Small sculpture of a lion climbing at a column, worn out copy of an original now situated on the history of Girona museum. Situated in the cathedral square, it has a metal staircase attached to it with the aim to help people to climb and kiss the butt of the lion and make a photo out of the spectacle! 😜 Allegedly, this will make you return to the city...

They say if you kiss the lion you will return to the city.

Preciosa plaza con buenos restaurantes. Como anfitriona de Girona, cuando tengo visitas es obligatorio venir a esta plaza y hacer un beso a la lleona, además de hacer que vuelvas trae buena suerte!

I loved spending time in Girona. The flowers and the history of the gorgeous Girona and its people were amazing. I fell in love with Spain and came home with wonderful memories of a country filled with amazing stories.
