La Laguna Azul Cocktails in Cartagena

La laguna Azul had THE BEST ceviche we had during our stay in Cartagena and we went to all the spots you’ve probably seen recommended on YouTube/TripAdvisor/etc.This place is hidden in a locale below the staircase and you can tell is mostly frequented by locals. The prices are also pretty attractive. The beer and fish are usually 2/3rds of what you’d pay inside the historic center and other places near by.

So I have been to Peru and I have had the best Ceviche in the world. Now remember this isn’t Peru and do not expect the ceviche to be prepared in the same manner. With that said, the ceviche I had here was amazing. My girlfriend and I shared the Salvavida and it was well prepared and tasty. FYI - the place looks like it’s in a hole in a wall but the service and the quality of food was amazing. The price is very reasonable for the quality of food.

This restaurant is by far the best place to eat ceviche. I keep coming back here for lunch. Not only is the food delicious and they have big portions, but the price is very good compared to other ceviche restaurants in town. The Ceviche Bomba is the best in the menu in my opinion.

A hidden jewel on Getsamine neighborhood! Their ceviche is amazingly fresh, one of the best that I had in Cartagena. The place is casual, has some great salsa/caribbean music on the background and perfect for a hot day and if youre looking for a more of a local experience. Try ceviche Bomba and youll never forget it.

This place is worth the search. Large portions of delicious ceviche. The ladies who prepare will give you recommendation on what is the freshest catch from the day. Cash only so bring your pesos. There is plenty of seating inside (A/cand outside (completely shaded). After shopping you can pass through the maze of shops and pick up souvenirs, get a hair cut and a variety of other services.

This is the place to go for filling, delicious, and relatively cheap ceviche! I got the seafood ceviche with three flavors (octopus, fish, shrimpand it was on point. Also can’t go wrong with the original fish ceviche. We went back twice on our trip.

While this is a hole in the wall place, its not the caliber youre hoping for. The Seviche was good but theyve raised their prices recently so its 25,000 vs 16,000 like some other reviews here mention. No cocktails anymore, just bottled beer. The food was good but nothing special. The service wasnt very good.

Great "hole in the wall" type of place with the best cevice in town. Fresh, tasty, cheap. If youre in town, make this stop, you will not regret it. Staff is nice and friendly. Stopped here 3 times during our stay in Cartagena, this is where locals come for ceviche!

We ordered the ceviche de pescado ($16000 COPand the ceviche de calamar y pulpa ($18000 COP). The flavoring was very herby but was lacking in spice. I’m use to Peruvian ceviche with a little more flavor and spiciness. You can’t deny the freshness and the avocado was a great touch. It was fast, fresh, but lacking in flavor. Also, the serving size was not as generous as other cevecherias

Amazing ceviche, Ive been to many other in El centro, and if you want classic ceviche it is the place to go! Laguna azul is just beside a liquor store that offer their bottles to the clients. Amazing quality price. I chose my favourite wine and LA bomba is great, I tried 3 others with my family and I was not disappointed, but la bomba come first.

Man, the ceviche is this spot was awesome. I had the Ceviche Bomba consisting of octopus, shrimp, calamari and avocado over a bed of lettuce. Was excellent and I highly recommend it to all seafood and Ceviche lovers!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. If you are the kind of person who needs to try all the ceviche in town, go to la boliche and la cevicheria for twice the price in the walled city. Then come here, pay less than half, and enjoy twice as much. Its a little confusing to get to but worth the effort. Its at the very back of the Getsemani commercial center. Walk all the way through the mall, when you think its never going to end keep going. Order the "la bomba" first, but honestly its all delicious. You cant make a bad choice. You have to be really proactive for service, especially if you dont speak Spanish, which I would normally downgrade for, but whatever, clearly they arent used to dealing with gringos. Best ceviche in town, hands down.
