La Jibarita in Mayagüez

Stopped in to pass some time while waiting for someone. The atmosphere is nice and clean, friendly servers, good beers and some good food. Had a white pizza with chicken and bacon and then some alitas. Good stuff!

The restaurant is very scenic, the decorations are lovely and dining on the second floor is an unforgettable experience. Their pizzas are veru tasty and good enough to share between two or three people. I also recommend their Jibarita Fries! Theyre very tasty.

0/5 waited literally over 1 hour and 30 mins for 3 simple dishes it got to the point were I was falling asleep and didn’t even wanna eat rather just go home and save the 130$

Great food and service, not too expensive...

Since we enter the place we received a warm welcome. Our waitress Jaylin was really friendly and willing to help us on the beer selection. We order local beers which its always a great choice. Our pizza was La Bebilla and it was really good. For dessert we decided that Jaylin surprise us and she nailed it, La Bofetá it was delicious. We came from San Juan and staying in Rincón and the trip was worthwhile. We will definitely are going back with friends.

Came yesterday, took 45 minutes to get a classic burger. Came today and it came out much quicker! Must have had a off day yesterday.Their food is awesome! Absolutely the best burger in Puerto Rico.

Great vegan options - pizza without cheese, salads (with the Mango vinaigrette), tostones (without the aioli), tostones de Pana, veggie tacos without cheese!

2022: We went back and it was really good!2021: The food and the service were great. My son had a burger and he said its the burger hes ever had (I had a bite of it, as he kept raving about it, and I agreed, it was delicious).

Large plates, can be shareable. Everything was cooked perfectly, tasty, with great presentation and fresh. Higher priced but still within range and worth it 100%

This place is incredible! I love the food and vibes. The Nachos are the Best Nachos ive ever had. Pizza is really good and great atmosphere.

WE ORDERED NUMEROUS FOOD ENTREES... ALL OF THE ENTREES WERE GOOD... ORDERED 2 MOJITOS ALSO, BOTH WERE GOOD...

The place is very pintorest. They have a very extent dining room. The problem they had wich is a are VERY huge problem is; if you arrived at 2pm you CAN NOT have any food at all. You can not have breakfast even is a brunch, and you can NOT have any food from the menu until 3:pm. So there is a lap time that they told you to sit there, and order drinks without food umtil 3pm. We never understand this , so you going to spend an hour sitting there, without any food, hungry waiting for I dont know what? .bottom line, they dont have brunch, or they dont know the meaning of that. we traveled so far for nothing we were 9. And we left. I do not recommend the place. And is the very first time I do not recommend a place in Mayaguez.They do not offer us, nothing to eat, neither appetizers until 2:30pm, and we were there since 1:pm, waiting for the afternoon menu, wich is at 3:00pm.

Excellent for late breakfast on a Sunday. A rustic setup in former house shell converted to an eclectic patio with tables with umbellas. The food is great and plenty, ask for the french toast and you will see a mountain of food. The mimosas are very good and excellent sercice from a very young staff. The local barista will be give you not only a good coffee but a piece of art.

This is my go to place. Good food, friendly people.I like it. Its a must see.

Moscow Mules and Nachos were delicious but they made ALOT of mistakes like not putting alcohol in several of our drinks... they did fess up and say it was an accident (then gave us extra drinks for no charge... but to many errors. Would avoid.

First time in this places with my sisters and husbands was really good experience delicious food nice attendance, coming from Connecticut . 👍

Service was fabulous. Big shout out to Jesus who first welcomed us and gave great detail of menu and drinks. Gabriela took over and was very good as well. Leon manager was also very welcoming and gracious. Thank you for you service. Food was well portioned and tasty.

Very unique restaurant setting in basically 4 walls and no ceiling. Very friendly service food was nicely prepared. Service was top notched. Check came and I was amazed at what I got for what I had to pay.

They advertise their sunday brunch from 9am to 3pm, but we arrived here at 2:15pm and they denied us brunch because the kitchen was changing staff and opened again at 3pm.If this is the case, please dont advertise brunch until 3pm if its not available.

As I have stated before, I am a Le Cordon Bleu trained certified executive chef as well as part time food critic. My wife and I had dinner at La Jibarita on a Friday night. Our wait time was 25 minutes and we sat down in 15. Our waitress was Lucia....(spelling may be off). She was fantastic! Very hard working and knowledgeable. I had the duck breast and it was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this eatery.

Super cute outdoor/indoor atmosphere. Food tasted fantastic, but the pulled pork sandwich had surprise mayonnaise that was not listed on the menu so those with egg allergies should watch out!

This is such a good place. The appetizers were really good. Try the cheese balls and they were super good and crispy. The pizza was very impressive. Super toasty and with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Colorful, loud, energetic, open space, great food - specially the burgers - and strong service. Whether sitting in the courtyard or on the balcony, you will have a very cool eating experience at the Jibarita. If they go overboard with the music system, just ask them to turn it down so you can have a conversation without shouting. But as far as the food goes, this place has superb choices including the burgers and the pizza. I dont recommend the nachos - I hope they find the recipe for that, but besides that, the dishes are great.

First warning, it is open air eating so be advised if its a little rainy. We pushed through that and suffered very little. And it was worth it just for the burgers! Quite possibly the best in PR. Bar selection is quite nice as well for a smaller venue. Well worth the stop.

I’m super late with this review. I visited here with my boyfriend for a night out in Mayaguez. Our drinks were amazing and the food was delicious. If you’re looking for some good eats and a good time, this is for you.

Hands down THE BEST HAMBURGER I HAVE EVER ATE! I honestly didnt go to Puerto Rico excited to eat a burger but I am so glad we did because it was so worth it! The drinks were good, service was a little a little slow but the waiter was friendly and again the food was delicious

Awesome brunch menu at very good prices. Staff if very warm and attentive. The location is very fresh and cute. I recommend the chicken and waffles. I eat to my hearts content for a very low price. Ask for France as a waiter.

This place is unique and nostalgic. Open skyline, full bar, fun music, and friendly service. I came with a tight budget but saw so many things on the menu I wish I could have tried. The pizza was delicious.

In the town of Mayaguez? Looking for a great place to hang out and grab great food and drink? This is a great place for that. Great environment, a fantastic ruin bar. Besides Simplakert in Budapest, this one has a Caribbean flare to it, very chill and fun. The food is very tasty and with a simple menu, it offers great local varieties and more. The pizza is great, but these fantastic appetizers I have uploaded taste amazing! Overall great spot to hang out, grab a drink, get some grub, and share a laugh.

La Jibarita is an abilitated old building in the heart of Mayaguez. They offer great burgers, sliders and pizza. Some vegetarian dishes as well. Prices are on the cheap and the Medallas are always cold. A must if youre around.
