Great place to stay in La Fortuna. Very helpful staff, clean nice rooms and decent value.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff was so accommodating and helpful.The location of the hotel is perfect: it is on a calm, safe street, but very close walking distance to the heart of town. There are countless restaurants, shops, and tours nearby. The staff was able to provide tons of information and suggestions.The room was immaculately clean and stocked with the essentials for our stay. Knowing it was our honeymoon, the staff went out of their way with some special decorations for us in the room. To top it all off, we had a private balcony with an incredible view of the Arenal Volcano.I would highly recommend staying at this hotel to anyone visiting La Fortuna!

La Fortuna suites were a great accommodation with a spectacular view on the volcano. The staff was always nice and helpful to make our experience in La Fortuna even better. Breakfast is served at a different hotel a little walk up the street. From the terrace we had a great view of Arenal volcano and could watch tons of birds, even Aras and Tucans.

BOOK it ! You will not regret it. The hotel is clean and in a safe area. Shops and restaurants are at a 5 minute walking distance. The staff is so welcoming and friendly . The upgraded rooms have such a beautiful view of the Arenal Volcano, and the price point is a steal . This is our new place of choice in CR !

I stayed at La Fortuna Suites for one night. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the location is two blocks off the main street, the rooms are modern and clean, and the breakfast, which is served at a partner hotel, is excellent.

I stayed here for 3 nights in January. I could not have picked a better place to stay! From before we even booked to after we left our experience was great. Nayu made our trip unforgettable by helping us book experiences both in advance and last minute. She answered all of our questions. The hotel itself is beautiful and centrally located. There is a terrace with a beautiful view of the volcano. The rooms are nice, comfortable, and clean. Probably my favorite aspect was breakfast. Just down the block is breakfast at another hotel with the most gorgeous view and tasty food! Especially for the price, La Fortuna is an amazing place to stay!

My wife and I spent two nights at La Fortuna Suites near the Arenal Volcano. The property was recently remodeled, and the beds were great. When we arrived we warmly greeted. Alex upgraded my room for a reasonable price, he booked tickets for horseback riding and the hot springs, and sold us on a free nature hike the following morning. He also gave us reccomendation for three restaurants. La Vid steak house, La Parrilla de María Bonita, and Pollo Fortuneño.There are two common areas in the hotel. One with a beautiful garden and swings. The other is upstairs with board games and table space. We were able to meet and talk with other guests.The location was easy walking distance to everything in the town. It was a short uber or taxi ride to the attractions. We had a brief trip, and visited los lajos resort, the Oasis resort, and waterfalls attraction close to it.I highly reccomend this hotel.Pat & Lynn Parris

This place is incredible. Upon arrival we were greeted with cold towels and fresh juices. The room was clean, modern, and had a patio facing the volcano. I cant imagine getting a better view anywhere else in the city. We were also walking distance to all of the restaurants but far enough away to not hear any noise at night. I would recommend La Fortuna Suites to anyone who wants luxury without the high price tag!

Extremely clean, comfortable, great location. Reception goes out of their way to be very helpful. Great partnering location for breakfast (enjoy the birds!). Only negative was that it was a bit noisy at night: bring your earplugs.

We really enjoyed our stay in La Fortuna Suites! The location of the place is great within La Fortuna, quiet with a nice view but still close to restaurants, supermarkets, etc.The room was comfortable and clean, with good value for price!On top they give you all the service and recommendations for activities in the whole area.On our last day the manager himself gave us a private shuttle service to San Juan, as the companies struggled with my surfboard. Super nice hotel and rooms which were recently renovated. Very lovingly furnished and decorated and the hotel is in a quiet but central location. We received many tips from the friendly staff for excursions and could book directly at the hotel.Breakfast is available at the hotel next door.It was a great experience and we liked it very much 🤗

This place was amazing! I was on the third floor with a perfect view of the volcano. No elevators, so keep that in mind. Its only 2 blocks from the main strip. They dont offer any food. If I go back to La Fortuna, I will always stay here. The ppl are sweet!

Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt und wären gerne länger als nur die 2 Nächte geblieben. Ein sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes Hotel mit einer herzlichen Rezeptionistin. Auch das Frühstück, welches im Nachbarhotel serviert wird, war sehr lecker und unterhaltsam (die Vögel bekommen auch zur selben Zeit ihr Frühstück - Tierdoku live).

The manager and host made the experience one of the best ever. She showed us the property and different rooms before we booked. The room came with a great view of the volcano.

Ian is a great host, has a lot of knowledge about La Fortuna.Rooms are incredible!

Im in a wheelchair and the manager of this hotel went above and beyond my expectations by far. He made sure I was able to get into the room and shower. He also made sure that we were comfortable as well as trying to arrange any thing that we needed on our day excursions. I most definitely will be staying here again the next time we come.

I actually stayed here in 2018, but I was just updating my Google Maps and decided to write a review at the same time. I had a very nice stay and the host was really terrific. I was staying alone and it was a bit challenging, because I did not have a car and it was off-season. The host was very helpful in helping me to get to the places where I wanted to go. The room was nice and the breakfast was really lovely.

This hotel was quite nice.The room was enough big and budget.

Stayed here in January 2020 and it was fantastic. One of the main reasons it was so great was the manager, Ian. He was extremely helpful, thorough, and always looking to make our time better at the Suites, around town and excursions in the area.

I had a good time, it felt a bit like having my own appartment. The only thing I missed was a little garden, but after all it is very central, and everything is in walking distance. I enjoyed the apple tv and the flatscreen, for three relaxing days. Apparently there is no more breakfast on the premises - but I received a voucher For a restaurant. I would have preferred to stay on site, as it is and opportunity for the guests to get to know each other - also I did not enjoy having breakfast at a place where people drink at night, but that is just an energy thing - i am sensitive... but the breakfast is quite all right. I would come again, and would’ve even stayed two nights more if the suite had not been booked. Thank you to Ian and his lovely partner

The location of Fortuna Suites is great. 2 blocks away from the main street so maybe a 2 minute walk from many restaurants, car rentals, coffee shops etc. It was pretty quiet at night with the A/C running and we always play white noise when we travel so we didnt hear a thing. The memory foam bed was very comfy but pillows werent as great. Room was clean with a fridge, safety deposit box, coffee, sink with some dish soap. Apple TV installed which I think we used once but still nice to have I guess! Ian, the owner, is pretty helpful in answering questions before you stay there...but he booked our transfer from the airport and then to the Nicoya peninsula and we werent super impressed with their service and I wish I had booked the company I had found and research on my own. Not necessarily his fault but we kind of questioned the company he referred us to.Amazing breakfast included, by the way, at nearby Lava Lounge. Totally worth it and makes the value for money for Fortuna Suites even better. Options we enjoyed included banana pancakes, huevos rancheros, american breakfast and french toast with, of course, fresh CR coffee.· The room was a bit damp and smelled a bit musty/moldy. I think this is an issue in much of CR as it is so humid there, especially up in the rainforest area. We stayed in a beach town later on in our stay and they had a dehumidifier that we turned on and this really helped things out. Could be something to think about. I tried to turn the A/C unit on dry for a bit but it didnt do much. The A/C itself did an excellent job cooling down the room though. Bathroom is also quite small.

The owners are very attentive to ensuring we were comfortable, they go over and above.The rooms and facility was very clean. The mattress is memory foam and was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was always very good, and the location is very convenient. I would highly recommend.

Great place to stay in La Fortuna with a host that goes above and beyond! Ian provided so much assistance to my husband and I during our stay with bookings and local knowledge tailored to our interests. His rates are very fair and breakfast on the upstairs deck a real treat. Highly recommend a stay here if traveling to La Fortuna!

Ian was a great host. He really went above and beyond to make our stay there memorable and easy. We typically stay in more commercial and five-star hotels on our vacations, but we decided to budget different, and no regrets! La Fortuna Suites is near to everything, but is located on a quiet street. Ian cooks breakfast in the morning, where youll have an opportunity to meet other guest. He is also a great resource on transportation and how to make the best use of your time. As far as the room goes, it was clean and the maid is sweet. We slept well, the WIFI was strong, we felt safe, and the shower was hot. What more can you ask for?

Wonderful place! Ian the host is great with the "to do" arrangements. Another plus is breakfast on the porch :D with a volcano view.

We loved our three night stay in La Fortuna Suites! The rooms were clean, comfy and had everything we needed (plus Apple TV). Location was perfect - just a few minutes walk to everything in town but far enough away from the main street to be quiet. The host, Ian, was incredibly helpful with anything we needed including directions, recommendations, and even booking tours for us. As non-Spanish speaking tourists, he certainly made our stay in La Fortuna easier and more relaxing.

Rooms are basic. Showers are just a little less than hot. Ian makes a decent breakfast. Location is great - close to lots of restaurants and bars. Air conditioning is a bit noisy but it works.

Nice cozy spot close to the heart of town. Ian has a great knowledge of the area and breakfast is top notch.

Ian was a gracious host with his vast knowledge of La Fortuna. He was extremely helpful in planning our adventures every step of the way. This is a great location dead center of town and just minutes away from the springs. He’s the type of guy that’ll give you his last umbrella in the rain... and he did. We had a wonderful stay with Ian at La Fortuna Suites! He is so upbeat and friendly! Very knowledgeable about the area and super helpful with regard to our questions especially about tours! Our second stay at the suites, loved it just as much as the first time. You cant beat the location, close to all the local food and activities. Rooms are nice and well maintained. The breakfast is tasty and they provide large portions (the fresh fruit especially good for starting a day)!

Spacious suites within walking distance to the essential services, welcoming, knowledgeable and most hospitable hosts who ensure you are comfortable during your stay is what makes this place outstanding; a great nightly rate, high tread count sheets with memory foam mattresses, clean, and cool even without turning on the AC just add to the reasons to come back!Wake up to a gourmet breakfast or make your own simple breakfast from your private kitchette and eat on a deck viewing the volcano!

Our 3 weeks holiday in Costa Rica started off with a night in San Jose. We drove to La Fortuna for our second destination and having spent 4 nights at La Fortuna Suite, I must say that this place is home from home with a fantastic host and top value for money with a perfect view of the volcano. This was a perfect pad for me and I would definitely choose La Fortuna Suite out of anywhere else anytime I am back here. Thanks Ian, you are top man. ^^

An absolutely beautiful place. The view of the volcano is stunning and the rooms are super clean and well organized. Ian is such a great host whos fluency in English and Spanish is very helpful. He has great knowledge of where to go for the best hikes and views and makes an amazing breakfast. I cant wait to come back and stay again.

Fantastic B&B. Our host Ian was tremendously helpful. We arrived with very little booked and Ian was able to book all the excursions we wanted to do and pointed out a few local spots that we would have never known about.
