We were late for our reservation. We called on and let them know. We asked for chiefs choice to make it easier for the kitchen.We were not disappointed. All the food we ate there was divine. The service was wonderful (even though it was late and we were late).This place is a must for awesome food!

Weve been eating here for years & have always found the dining experience to be first class. The food is as good as it gets, service is excellent & the prices quite reasonable. I have lived in Kitsap County for 71 years & we feel that La Fermata is very probably the best restaurant in Kitsap County, & we have eaten at all of them. Make a reservation, you will love it!

Honestly shocked by all of the great reviews, maybe we got food on a bad night. The atmosphere/staff was the best part but the food was almost inedible which is so dissapointing because I had been looking forward to eating here for weeks. I took a few bites of my pasta and couldnt finish it. Definitely wont be coming back here for a while at least, next time we try it I will update my review!

Magnificent! Chef Sam is a genius. This is by far the best dining experience directly across the Puget Sound from Seattle!! A must if you are in the area. Having the Ahi special tonight and I had the lamb rack last week. Wonderful balances and flavors and combinations, Above and beyond! Highest recommendation.

One of the best dining experiences Ive had on this side of the water to date. The atmosphere was exceptional. The service was friendly and accommodating. The food was great. I had heard so many great things about this place and I will say that some may have over hyped it, so my advice is to go with an open mind and judge it for yourself. The flavors were well built and balanced. I will always remember the experience as a whole and would recommend it to anyone looking for an upscale Italian restaurant thats local.

Wow! Having dinner here was an incredible experience. There was such great care given in the preparation and presentation of each dish. Everything was so flavorful and rich. The cozy atmosphere topped it all off. It’s a great spot to come for a special date night or celebration.

Cute little restaurant, with good service. Full bar amd dining side and there is another side of the restaurant that I could bring my daughter (12yto dine with me. I orders the eggplant mozzarella appetizer amd she order the smoked salmon Fettuccine alfredo. I liked them both but the eggplant kinda lacked favor. For dessert we got the Crème brûlée & the molten chocolate cherry cake; both were yummy.

My husband and I wanted something new and fun for our anniversary. The wait was a little long as it seemed they only have one waitress. That being said, they still get 5 stars! Delicious food. We tried one of each category and was pleasantly surprised. We didn’t love the salmon linguine, but it wasn’t bad. The wedge salad- for looking so simple was delicious! We enjoyed the lamb special and they even took my plate back to cook it a little more to my liking. Highly recommend this place! (If you need a babysitter, plan for a few hours!)

My wife and I had a really great night out here. It was our first date night since October of 2020 and it did not disappoint. We are looking forward to going back next month. The made in house pasta was wonderful!

We enjoyed the friendly staff serving handmade delicious meals, such as the Venison Bolognese and perfectly medium-rare ribeye. No frills dining close to home. The bar is well stocked, but the staff doesnt have the training to use the ingredients. Well be back again. For what it is, its 5 stars.

Cozy atmosphere and delightful service, I had foraged mushrooms, pine nuts, goat cheese with THE BEST HOMEMADE PASTA I have ever eaten. What a hidden gem in Manette!

Great Italian food! A focused menu on select dishes that have excellent flavor and high quality. Quaint friendly atmosphere that suits casual or fine dining.

I mainly went here because I was really in the mood for Créme Brûlée but I arrived and it reminded me of a small mom and pop shop with 4 star food and menu. All of their dishes were detailed and their menu was well put together. Good first impressions! Then the food, I ordered their special for the time which was a rack of lamb with mint pesto and vegetables which turned out fantastic. The playing was awesome and the lamb was cooked perfectly. Their wine list is extensive by the bottle but not a large selection by the glass. The desert should be award winning. That was the end all be all that got them this review. The vanilla bean Créme Brûlée was the best Ive ever had. Absolutely spot on. The service was timely and clean, all of the plating and serving was taken to great care. I have absolutely no negatives to say about this place and I highly recommend. In one of the other reviews it was described as something along the lines of "taking fine dining and making it neighborhood" which I absolutely believe to be true.

If you like Italian food you need to come here, if you love Italian food you must come here. It’s a quaint environment with delicious food. The food is fresh, nice sized servings, and a good variety of plates at a reasonable price! The server was friendly and personable as well!!

What a delightful, classy, intimate, wonderful place to dine - again. This is a great place to celebrate something special, or drop in for an appetizer; you wont be rushed, every course is meant to be savored. Our server could not have done a better job. Check out the menu on their website.

They always have great duck and a good selection of other entrees. The pasta options we tried were both delicious. I do wish they had a kids menu with smaller portions of some of their meals, but my son really enjoyed his pasta Bolognese - and I enjoyed eating his leftovers for lunch the next day.

Me and my wife spent our time there celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. It was such a nice quaint little place. The food was excellent the host were excellent as well. Highly recommended for anybody who wants good quality food and just a nice casual atmosphere to relax in

Omg slowest service ever. Got here at 5:19 and still waiting at 7:00 for dinner. This place is a ice cold. Had to order hot water to hold on to the cup to get warm. Staff seems completely uninterested. Finally dinner was served at 7:10. 2 out of 3 dishes were good but truly not worth the wait. Smallish portions. Beet salad and antipasto platter were very nice. To recap not worth the wait.

Small place but great atmosphere. Seemed very clean and classy. The mozzarella and tomatoes with our appetizer were fresh and the liqour/wine inventory was expansive. Chicken fettuccine was great but the confit tuna pasta was a little oily. Overall a very tasty, classy italian joint.

Both of our meals were fairly priced, and delicious. We were very impressed. Inside is a funky vibe, quiet and dim lighting. Nice to wind down. Great service without always interrupting. We will definitely be back.

This was the best place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The ambiance and mood was very romantic! Food is hands down, amazing quality. The service was good as well. We will be choosing this place again.

Had reservations for four. Found free parking out front. Greeted promptly by professional individual and seated at comfortable table. Good selection on menu with wonderful salads and entrees. Water and decent bread served quickly. Appropriate selection of wines in all price ranges. Wonderful music and ambiance. Meals priced high teens and up served a la carte. We all had ample portions. Too full to try deserts. Will return. Suggest reservations.

I give La Fermata 3 stars because most of the experience was average for me. The Price/Portion size ratio was high/small, the service was average, the atmosphere was oriented toward upper middle class and an older crowd, the food was good but not excellent. I might have loved this place had I been older or had enough wine to not notice the flavor or prices.Price/Portion size ratio: High/SmallAll the dishes are priced high and for that price you get a small portion size.For example, our appetizer of fried eggplant was $12 for four small pieces of fried eggplant w/ mozzarella. It was good, but again the price was high for a small portion size.Service: The service was average in my opinion. Heres a little illustration of what I experienced; the waitresses dressed in all black and were focused on their tasks at hand. The complimentary bread did take some time to be brought out which I thought was a little slow. However I give the waitress the benefit of the doubt that they may not have had control over that. However, the experience was average and similar to any other waitress I have had.The atmosphere: This place had a targeted audience, and I was not one of them. There were lights and the interior was dimly lit. It was quite busy, and you saw groups of older people chattering away and sucking up wine like mosquitos. I might have enjoyed the experience more had drank more wine, but it was not my scene personally.The food: My dish, the lamb was good, but I heard from others that their dishes were average at best. So thats why I give it a good, but not excellent rating. I think I drew the lucky straw when I picked my entree.Overall: My experience at La Fermata was equivalent to a 3 star experience. It does try to be 5 stars, but for me it wasnt that.

Me and my husband have come here a few times on little occasions together and we absolutely love it! It has this wonderful warm ambience and never feels crowded or stuffy. The food has always been amazing and cooked perfectly. I have seen reviews concerned about the service. But I do believe that it is ran by a husband and wife and I dont know if they have any helpers in the kitchen. I think that it is less of an inattentiveness to service and more of a European style of service where the waiters try not to bother or get in the way of the customers. I could be wrong but either way the food and ambience makes it so I dont mind waiting a little bit longer.

Food was bland (minus overwhelming amount of pepperand service was fairly non-existent. It was extremely difficult to get refills or even noticed by our waitress despite not being very busy. I expected much better based on the reviews for this place. This place gets 2 stars for the pasta being homemade and in house, that was the only positive part of this experience.

I wish I could give more stars! La Fermata is a true gem. The food is always amazing. This is a small, intimate cafe. With some of the best food in the entire area there is often a wait if you do not have a reservation - but it is worth every minute. If you want fast cheap food I suggest you look elsewhere. If you are patient and want something special then get in there!

This was an outstanding dining experience. We ordered an antipasto platter and two entrees both were amazing. Plus dessert to share. Husband was truly amazed. We will definitely be returning #datenight

Great cozy restaurant. We went with another couple and we ended up staying for 3 hours, the staff was very friendly and the food was very good.

YUM. We have been dying to try La Fermata since we moved to Bremerton 2 months ago. We got lucky and were able to get a walk in table on a night that seemed pretty busy, and we were not at all disappointed. The decor and ambiance is cozy and charming. Our hostess/server/bartender was attentive, but not overly so. She made OUTSTANDING cocktails, and love that they serve some in chilled glasses for added swanky effect. The food was incredibly good. This is literally the neighborhood Italian restaurant I feel like Ive been looking for for years - not too cheffy, but elevated for sure. The beet salad in particular was delicious, as was the Pork Saltimboca (drool.... ). Their wine selection is not only extensive, but the wine menu is very thoughtfully written including tasting notes. Glad we shared the bread & salad because the entrees were very generous, and dessert was equally great (and also split so we didnt have to roll out the door). I cannot wait to taste my way through the rest of their menu!

When I think fine dining, but neighborhood. Superior flavor, but lacking the white tablecloth. I appreciate warm emotionally accessible service. This is a home town restaurant is well above Bremertons station.

Once again I am floored by how amazing this little Manette gem is. I took my family of five here and they gladly worked with our gluten free and nut allergy requirements. I had every course and enjoyed the food as much as I enjoyed the ambiance and the excellent professionalism of the owner, Sam. Three out of the four desserts I had were gluten free, and amazing!!! And my steak was cooked to medium rare perfection!!! So wonderful!!!

Very small, quiet, laid back restaurant. It’s kind of a fancy place, so don’t come in dressed like a bum, but it doesn’t feel overly fancy. The food was delicious, and very reasonably priced. I’m assuming their bread is house made... either way, it was delicious as well. Bolognese was very good, and the ricotta goat cheese balls were very good as well. Can’t speak to the other menu items, but 5 stars from our first experience for sure!

It was mediocre. Id give it 2 1/2 stars if I could but I dont get that option.This review is based solely upon three factors:Comfort/AppearanceCostVariety1. Comfort/Appearance: Pretty unsatisfying, in my opinion. The ambiance is excessively dark, the only real visible light was the ambient light from the street front window. We had been seated in a booth on the far side of the wall opposite of street window just to the right of the bar when facing the bar itself. No cushions on the wooden bench they have in place. I was uncomfortable and annoyed already within 15 minutes of sitting.Noise....There were three guests that came in and sat the bar (they appeared to me as regularsand they were EXCESSIVELY obnoxious. This is not the restaurants fault but I do want to add that the acoustics within the restaurant are very hollow and distinct. I could hear exactly what people were talking about all the way by the street window across the restaurant floor. I dont have perfect hearing either, it was just easy to make out what people were saying. So if you have something private to talk about during dinner then I dont advise eating there and discussing your life.2. Cost: I ordered the Rib-Eye and that was $48 Im pretty sure and my wife ordered the scallops. The rib-eye was very dry and small portioned. Im not sure what the quality of this rib-eye was that warranted the highest price on their entree menu but it was not worth what I spent, sadly, I have had better rib-eye from cheaper places.The wifes scallops, she claimed was decent. Nothing to brag about but nothing to really complain about. Her sides were the same as mine, sliced sweet potato.The entree salad was really small and you can have it devoured in about 3 minutes.The bread and dipping condiment is REALLY good (perhaps the only thing I have to boast about this place). They did a fantastic job, I think, with the dipping condiment.*NOTE we had waited about an HOUR for these two dishes. The quality and portion of serving does not justify the 60 minute wait. It really doesnt.3. Variety: Pretty fair with variety, Id say. The menu can be somewhat hard to follow from time to time but they do have a great selection of wines. Their selection of beer is pretty small and its all IPAs from what I remember, actually, no, they do have Pilsner(s). The pilsner I ordered was alright, I would drink it again for sure but wouldnt be my first choice.OVERALL:I just couldnt find much to like about this place; however, the service was excellent, and the staff is very cordial. I would return if they would fix their lighting and comfort issue. I would also return if they addressed their pricing issue for such small portioned food. Wait times need be addressed as we went on a Saturday mid afternoon, the place was NOT very busy. One hour for such small portions is unsatisfactory. I have worked in a formal restaurant where larger more expensive meals were cooked and it didnt take half the time it took for them to do it.As always, dont take my word for it, try the place for yourself and see what you think. They already have high reviews and perhaps my standards are set too high but I dont seek perfection, I just wasnt satisfied with my visit. Hopefully, you will be satisfied.****Total spent for two entrees and appetizers (salads1 pilsner beer and 2 glasses of wine: $125 somewhere about. Total time spent inside: About 2 hours.

This is my favorite restaurant. I enjoy their wine selection and their desserts. All menu items are prepared in house, are locally sourced, reasonably priced, good portion sizes, and great atmosphere. This business is locally owned, with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. La Fermata also has a bar with great selection close to the fireplace. They have decent scotch, which is a rarity. I enjoy bringing my children here, too. La Fermata provides a case of crayola crayons and paper draped over the table for artistic inspiration. Their restaurant is wheelchair accessible, however their bathroom hall is narrow and the bathroom is small. Service is fast, though expect your dinner to be at least 30 minutes because it is freshly prepared and cooked to order. You will not be disappointed. Also, great for special occasions including proposals and parties.

Went for daughter and wife’s birthday dinner. Were pleasantly met by a warm and intimate ambiance. Relatively awkward since they don’t have a reception area and you walk in on people eating literally two feet away. Menu boasts an impressive yet limited array of authentic Italian cuisine and wines. The turning point for us was the service. Our waiter was pretentious and rude and didn’t care that we sat for over a half hour waiting to order appetizers. When it came to the wine, the abundance of wines on the list is overwhelming and needs some time to go over. Instead of giving suggestions the waitress dismissed us as not worthy of her time and insight. Besides the horrible service the meal was good. Bottom line, we wouldn’t recommend this place if you are in a hurry or have a large party. If you have time for rude waitresses and want to spend a large amount on food then this is your place.

Great atmosphere Great food Great staff a must if you like Italian. They have a fantastic menu and it complimented by an impressive wine list. Also a little side note they actually gave me fresh squeezed orange juice in my vodka and orange juice. Simply Amazing! I will be back for sure!

Wonderful! Lovely ambiance, tables tastefully set on black granite with amber table lights and pretty crystal wine glasses. Food plated artistically and tasted as delicious as it looked. Our group had the duck, pork and bolognese entrees that were all excellent. Will come here again--and bring friends!

I have been here with my husband many times for a number of years and this remains perhaps our very favorite restaurant in Kitsap County. We go here for a touch of elegance. The service is helpful, engaging and professional. The food is excellent and the menu changes seasonally. Several of our favorites are the lamb and duck entrees but we have never been disappointed whatever we have ordered. They make a beet salad that we particularly enjoy. We often split a dessert after a full meal. You can find a good bottle of wine at an affordable price and they have a few nice ones by the glass. If you dine at La Fermata you will want to return.
