Spanish bistro offering tapas, a long wine list & sangria in an art-filled space with live music.
Wonderful atmosphere. Fantastic service. Delicious food and wine.If youre in the 806, make sure to put this on your date list.
We dropped in for a snack, and it was the best part of our day. The sangria is delicious, the queso with artichoke dip is great, and the pork tacos tender and not greasy. The atmosphere is eclectic, lots to look at. Our server was attentive, and we wanted for nothing. Cant wait to return.
Lovely ambiance, very Insta-friendly. The food is good in general terms, only suffering in comparison to better tapas restaurants in larger cities. Service is variable, from passable to indifferent, but that seems to be the standard across the city and perhaps the country since the pandemic. All of the dishes are fine, we’ve had a dozen or more with nothing terrible, though nothing terrific either. The sangria is generally disappointing, either because they don’t know how to make it or because local tastes vary from other Spanish restaurants around the US… and Spain. Overall, good place for a date or to enjoy a little variety in your regular diet so I give it a qualified recommendation.
Love La Diosa! Unfortunately their host Mark was very short, rude, and unprofessional. His sarcastic attitude was unexpected and out of place for this atmosphere. After taking much longer than necessary to seat us and making snarky comments we decided to leave. We will absolutely visit again, but not with that rude host waiting to greet us.
This place had very good food with small portions that still were filling.
Beautiful place, great food loved the sangria. Service was awesome, thank yall
I absolutely LOVE this place. A true hidden gem in Lubbock, TX. The tapas & Sangria are absolutely delicious, the service is great & the atmosphere is very relaxed but also classy.
La Diosa was fabulous! Our favorite place to eat in Lubbock so far. The food was amazing and our server Mark was lovely.
We stumbled on this place in Lubbock. It has great ambiance, and the food was really good. The maî·tre d was interesting and fun. Highly recommend. It was the highlight of our visit to Lubbock.
Great atmosphere and pleasant staff! The live music was unobtrusive and very much matched the scene. This is a great place and I shall be returning.
Amazing food that reminds me of my travel to Spain. Very authentic. Great wine choices as well.
What a cool place. Great decor and ambiance, good food and excellent service
Ate at this restaurant 7 months ago and they did not charge my debit card until today. I don’t know what kind of restaurant does that, but it’s very sketchy. Plus the $10 per person fee for “live music” which was just a guy playing a guitar
Amazing!!! Awesome atmosphere, amazing food, and wine. Servers are wonderful!! Entertainment was great!
Fantastic chill ambiance, great staff, and unbelievably delicious food. Lucy and April were wonderfully attentive to my gorgeous date and I. If you’re looking for a speakeasy-feel wine bar with acoustic covered songs that beautifully compliments the vibe here, this is your next spot. If you are lucky enough to be served by Lucy, expect witty banter and good company. Cheers!
This was a wonderful experience. Stopped in to celebrate my wife’s birthday! Everything was perfect!
Best creme brulee ever! Very sad to hear thet are not part of the first Friday art walk. Would like to see them carry a milder blend of coffee. If you like strong-coffee definitely the right place. Great ambiance!
Really nice place. We chose a couch setting and enjoyed house Sangria and some tapas
Great atmosphere! Friendly staff and good wine.I had the red field blend wine, yummy! Thats coming from a beer drinker!
While in Lubbock, my wife wanted to visit this restaurant as she knows the owner. We both live in London and over the years i have visited places like Spain & Portugal extensively so i was keen to see how authentic the food and atmosphere would be. It literally felt like i was in Madeira, Madrid or Albufeira in Europe! The ambience was bang on, live music was wonderful, the wines were great and the food was very tasty and surprisingly filling given it is tapas style smaller plates. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others as it is unique vs most american restaurants. I recommend the buffalo mozzarella, the spicy chicken pizzante & the meatballs. We will be back for more!
food was great… a little overpriced tho. the main thing was the service it was very mediocre. they also did auto grat on our party of 5, which in our minds she didn’t deserve. would be back for a few snacks if we have a different server.
Be ready to spend some money. Very loud when they have live music recommend sitting as far back as you can if your wanting to have a conversation. Love the wine and food. Definitely a girls night out or date night place. The dessert is divine. When friends or family come to visit and like wine this is a great place to take them. Fun exotic atmosphere.
Great service and atmosphere. Excellent paella with lamb and curry. Wonderful crab cakes. A very tasty potato cake dish. Sad they had no creme brulee but the carrot Bundt cake and chocolate cake were excellent. Of course have a pitcher of sangria. ✌️❤️😊
Excellent as always! Will be back every time in Lubbock.
Have been here many times for lunch and generally a great experience. Today, quite the opposite. Wife got her food and was finished eating when our server came to inform us that my order had been burned. We had been there 45 minutes and no food for me. Was like an episode of Hells Kitchen. They did comp the food however.Tip: Service is not fast and if they are crowded dont have high expectations.
Eclectic Spanish themed menu with a Texas twist. I didnt find Spanish wine on the menu, but found some decent options. Service was great. A fun way to spend an evening.
The ambiance was warm (not drafty like some garage-type spaces converted to restaurants), staff was friendly, and room was creatively decorated. Cozy little niches with overstuffed upholstered accompanied round tiled bistro tables. The food was phenomenal: tasty, plentiful, and creatively authentic for Spanish tapas. The sangria and the FIB wine were above par. Weekends have live entertainment I am told.
We love coming here. Robust wine list, great service, terrific decor and atmosphere, and fantastic food. Be prepared to wait awhile for your food, and it wont come out all together since everything is made to order. Its best to share the plates as they arrive. Highly recommend!
I ask where else in the world you can feed four people some of the most delicious tapas Ive ever had for this price? Atmosphere is wonderful, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I go here every chance I get!
We moved to Lubbock in 2018 & our friends told us about La Diosa and since our 1st visit we have found the best Tapas restaurant in Lubbock. The food is creative & delicious! The sangria is excellent, the staff is always friendly, attentive & accommodating to the diners needs! We love the ambiance and we will continue to bring any visiting family &/or friends to LA Diosa! Thank you!
The most relaxing and artistic ambiance in all of Lubbock. The tapas were so delicious and the wine selection was great. Truly appreciated the music levels to be enjoyable and not overpowering the conversations. Our servers were very attentive. Be sure to make reservations as we saw lots of people being turned away.
This was a Awesome place... they had live music which the guy was amazing! The service , wine, and desserts were to go back for again!! If you havent been there... you should stop by. Plan on going back my next visit to Lubbock 🍷🙂🌻
During my 6 month visit to Lubbock I came here 3 times with my girlfriends and every time it was amazing!! Food was always delicious as was their sangria and service! I will always cherish my memories here and will come back for more each visit I return!
Classy little spot. Played a live music set here - Pete Henry 11/12 - and had a great time. Food was delicious, as was the sangria!
Came here after McPhersan’s Cellar, super good Madrid pizza and queso. The waitress was extremely nice and helpful. The ambience is awesome. Would definitely go back!
Great ambience...service was good....food was good. Only thing I wish - a few more food options on the menu.
This is a cozy art deco setting in the downtown area. The food was wonderful. I had the Dos Tacos and my wife had the margarita pizza. I have a feeling all of the food would be excellent. We will return. The cheese cake was to die for!!
The decor and ambiance of this place is really funky (in a good way). My husband and I enjoyed a date night here and we would come back. Would be a fun place to share tapas with friends. Food isn’t anything amazing but it is good (minus the shrimp with cheese dish: wayyy too much cheese and bacon but was recommended by our server). Service was pretty efficient, too. We were disappointed with dessert. Thought we were getting a chocolate cake and received something along the lines of chocolate fudge. The waiter could have described this dessert better (flourless, maybe?so that we could have opted for a more appropriate choice for us.
The service was awesome! The food was delicious. We tried a variety of appetizers, pizza, and dessert. For the size of the portions, the price was just a little bit high. All in all an excellent experience. We visited on a Tuesday evening, about 5pm. No one else in the restaurant.
We really enjoy our little anniversary dinner going to this place was a highlight to our day. This place has very artistic decoration. The restaurant was clean and staff use a mask at all times, which is very important at this time. Bathroom are clean and spacious great for wheelchair users as myself. There’s only one bathroom, so if it is busy you’ll have to wait. The names on the menu are creative in keeping with the restaurant theme. The food is serve in small portions. If you’re a big eater just know this place is to the delight the palate and satisfied your hunger. Unless you order 2 serving for yourself like my husband did you won’t be full. For me, the portions was just right! Our server Olivia was so sweet and patient with us. She answer all our questions even the ones we didn’t know how to ask. Kuddos Olivia!! Overall it’s a great place to have a quiet dinner and delightful food! It’s a must return to try the other dishes.
We went on a Saturday night and it was busy. Getting things organised took a little time but we were seated at the bar after a short wait. We both ordered the risotto which was delicious and our server, Olivia, was lovely. For those who have enjoyed tapas in Spain this is not tapas - it is much bigger and would constitute a light meal. They have some nice wines and cocktails and the ambience is upbeat. Well worth a try.
Fun atmosphere, locally owned, good food, real chef, interesting food, a little different, tapas and local wine selection, excellent wait staff. Be aware it isnt a full bar.
I met friends to listen to a guitar group and relax. The band was delightful, a $3.00 cover, but worth it. We all ordered food and shared. The spicey meat balls and pizza were delicious, and the fruit, cheese and meat platter was perfect to finish with. The atmosphere was awesome. We sat next to where the band was playing and the music was the perfect volume. You could carry on a conversation without yelling and still enjoy the music. The food was a bit pricey but worth it for a special evening with friends.
Great space, esthetically pleasing. Food was tasty, menu and wine selections were average as was the service. Would return for the ambiance and coziness of the place.
Our favorite way to eat here is order one dish at a time and share. Really turns a ordinary dinner into an experiance. Some nights the live music is a bit loud and makes conversation difficult.Edit: Brunch on first sunday of the month is fantastic.
This place is a must visit in Lubbock. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing and the food is delicious. I recommend the lamb dish. Be ready to drop some bucks $$
I actually liked the service. The atmosphere was quite chill and had a variety of seating arrangements to fit your vibe. From regular table dining to bougie beardman castle lounge? 😂😁 Just a real nice space and some really nice wine selections albeit few (which is based on demand of course).
Went here after attending a graduation as a dinner. Its a wine and tapa place. The tapas were all really good. A lot of their wines on the menu only came in a bottle, so I went for the Sangria pitcher. The AMBIANCE was great. Very artsy! I loved it. It was my favorite part of the place. Service was okay. Theres a 5$ cover charge. I wasnt aware at the time till the hostess told me.
Its a nice restaurant with unique and beautiful design. The food is good but expensive. I dont think I will go back in the near future.
Stumbled upon this place by accident and fell in love! The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing lunchtime snack or intimate date night! The shrimp cocktail was phenomenal and their Sangria & Aperol Spritz were delish! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! Absolutely looooove the space! The couches are so comfy!
