La Cucina - Restaurant in Limerick, Ireland
Amazing food. Fresh ingredient! bruschetta al pomodoro was simply awesome! So much flovor with simple ingredients!
Food was absolutely delightful. Staff were very professional and accommodating to the needs of a member of our group whom is on the spectrum. Joe in particular went above and beyond to make it a very pleasant first visit.
Something of a find near the University of Limerick. Great panini and pasta. Also a branch in the centre of Limerick. Recommended
Lovely food, pleasant knowledgeable staff. A pleasant atmosphere
Great Italian restaurant, bit on the small side but always worth the wait to get a table. Delicious hot food and plenty sweet tasty treats to enjoy. Definitely recommended.
Easily the best Italian in Limerick. Their pizzas are incredible and the pasta is just π§βπ³ incredible
Had Vegetarian sandwich, lovely but quite expensive overall. Food always good as is the service.
So fresh! Close my eyes & im in Venice again! Beautiful meal, coffee never fails & fabulous staff to top it off thank you x
Coffee was lovely and lattΓ© art was a nice touch. Waited 45 minutes for the food, and when it came out presentation was awful. No acknowledge of the wait either.
Good tasty food and friendly staff
10/10 pasta. Highly recommend the pollo el spinache
Ordered here loads of time, always yummy food :)
Gorgeous Italian style cuisine. Small sit in section but seems to do a big takeout business while we were there.Great pasta dishes.
When arrived with my girlfriend, told we would get table seats instead of stool seats but never came to be. Ordered a calzone, incredibly salty and greasy, inedible. When asked if I could order something else I was told it would be up to management if I would have to pay for it.They didnβt charge me for the calzone, however the experience as a whole was poor. Food quality does not reflect the price.
Gorgeous Chicken, pesto, rocket & goats cheese Ciabatta, Coffee and the staff were so welcoming π
Fundamental issues in management and operations. Their employees are a cheap source of labour and thats it, enjoy the Christmas hamper everyone has to share, while management take their "fair share" of tips.they give a "welcome to the family" spiel but not like any family I know.and went 11 months without contacting me during the temporary lay-off, which to me was a sign to look elsewhere for employment and now being threatened with disciplinary action by a director at La Cucina for not replying to his email after 30 days when they went 300+ days without contacting me, despite the cafe being open 90 days out of those 300.Food 2/5Management 0/5Minimum wage staff 4/5 (they put up with so much from management)Asked the director to have an owner contact me to discuss these very issues but apparently not important enough.Edit: I did find one of the owners to be very helpful when my bike was vandalised by a chef in the Castletroy premises but that appears to have been a one-off considering staff turnover was always quite high with staff members walking out in tears after "talks" with an assistant manager
That is a really great value for a good pasta.Congratulations to all the employees of this place, the food and service was EXCELLENT! They should open a store in Dublin otherwise I will miss it π
Lovely spot, Lovely staff and above all else, lovely food! Great place for a date or to simply grab a slice of pizza!
Very nice service, beautiful interior and flowers delicious cakes and cupcakes, cookies and tarts l π sorry for taking Ur flowers lol.
City center is best among the two. Spacious and pleasant interior design for a fine dinning experience. Staff are friendly and customer focused in City centre
Amazing food, it was authentic Italian, and our waiter was very friendly!
We wanted to try somewhere different, but I wouldnt return. The pizza was base was wet and soggy. Didnt seem fully cooked and over loaded with topping but not exactly hot. The lay out of the tables against the plants on a slope was uncomfortable aswell, there was ants running along the flower bed, which is normal but not when the table is right against it. It was around β¬27 for a big pizza and chips between us and a coffee(for 1so it was expensive for lunch time, so would of expected the pizza to be a lot nicer. The staff however were nice & friendly but the pizza was a massive let down
Two main courses were absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and I will return again. The starter was expensive and unfortunately was not great.
Love their food. Maybe slightly pricey for take away pasta but really tasty so prob thats the main thing!!
The pizza and brioche were very tasty . The staff were friendly . The food was also served quickly after the order.
Best Italian food in Limeirck. Serving takeaway during Covid. Friendly and happy staff. Watch out for the Teddy bears dining indoors during Covid lockdown.
Never disappointed by La Cucina. Always amazing food. The staff are friendly and welcoming. One of my favourite spots in Limerick.
Not as good as before. We ordered for collection and the staff told us would be ready for twenty minutes. Got there after twenty minutes and waited another twenty minutes to get the food. Even the people came in order got their food before us..The Carbonara was a bit disgusting.
I dont care much for Italian food, its tasty, sure but the desserts are very good. You might even see a famous rugby player in there if youre lucky.
Lovely place. Not that expensive, pretty small
Delicious food made with top quality ingredients. This small restaurant is really a hidden gem and needs to be experienced. The intimate setting gives the place a homey and inviting atmosphere and the staff are excellent.Additionally, a great option to order a take away for at home. For lunch, dinner or just a sweet treat and a coffee, you wont be disappointed!
I orderd a parmasean baguette and it did not look what I expected it to look like. The pesto was gone out of date as it was dark in colour and the ham didnt look appetising. Also the restaurant was very small with very few tables for customers. I will not be going here again. I was very disappointed. π‘π‘
Food was good. But the staff was rude when we came to pick up the food. We had to tell what we ordered but when we didnβt remember exactly the Italian word for the food the staff got triggered. Not going to order from there again, unless they make it delivery. π€·πΌββοΈ
Iβve never had a bad meal here ever! I usually have their pasta. Food quality is always consistently good.Would highly recommend the Boscaiola or Pesto. The Buttermilk Chicken Brioche is really good as well. Didnβt like their chips though....not golden/crispy enough. Perhaps the chips were a bit underdone that time??
Good coffee. Food is mostly very good. Staff are lovely! Very small restaurant so be prepared to wait for a seat. We mostly ring ahead our order and take it away. Hot drinks are VERY expensive. Be prepared to pay β¬4 or perhaps more for a hot chocolate
I love the food but I think the pricing has gone a little out of control. There seems to have been regular increases over the last number of months. β¬15 for a lunch portion of pasta seems particularly expensive. Even a takeaway tea seems very steep. Like I said, I love the food but Im starting to think its not worth it for the heavy price tag.
Great food and service. Attentive staff. Great selection of food from sambos to full hot meals, as well as big and small sweet treats. Lovely coffee too. Eat in or take out.
My daughters second favourite place, her first being La Cucina Centro in Henry Street π
Small but convenient location. Is popular amongst students who live in the area due to its proximity to UL and surrounding suburbs so might be difficult to find available space there (might want to considering booking in advance to guarantee a table for you and your guests)
Delicious italian food! Bit tightly inside, but if you catch any seats, have to stay and eat something special there or take it away. Strongly recommended.
Small but perfectly formed... Simple and authentic Italian food. Great pizza with excellent crust. Tight seating but take out service available. Better than Henry St for food quality. Superb salted caramel brownies and other deserts, Traditional sauce in the home made lassagne is also a favourite. Great coffee also
It changed a lot since my last visit, the service was very cold, hardly a smile, absolutely overpriced (a small fruit tart 4.50and pizza was quite average. Maybe a bad day?
Nice place for brunch, portions were okay. Definitely prefer going there for the desserts and coffee. Got a pizza and pasta for take away, pizza was a little salty but good size and the pasta was a little under seasoned. Nice for a quick local lunch.
Nice place to grab a bite to eat. Little dining space. Designed for take out instead of sit in. Food is generic but good. I recommend their daily special as I this has never let me down. Last time it was a calzone that was out of this world.
Lovely flavors for the bruschetta and lemon tart- there was so much attention to detail in the creation and I wish that the execution had as much detail. Nice cappucino - I appreciated the espresso.
The food is consistently fantastic. The Bruschetta and salted caramel brownies are a must try! The only downsides are the size of the place (its small so something its hard to get seats as its so popular), and sometimes the service is slow. Definitely worth a visit though! π
Nice hot meals, coffee and deserts. Must visit if you are in Limerick or passing by
We think its probably one of the best restaurants in Limerick. Its consistently good, the hallmarks of a great establishment. Simple, fresh, and expertly cooked, Italian food. Honesty, Ive eaten in many a high end place in Bologna, and Parma, this place punches well above its weight, excellent value too. We consistently recommend here to all our customers looking for a great Italian meal, lunch or Dinner.
You will not be disappointed with the food here - everything I have eaten here has been delicious! All the pastas are so tasty & full of flavour! The Pizzas are wood fired and HUGE & the coffee is to die for (being someone who comes from Melbourne Australia!that is a big statement!Friendly staff, lovely cozy and hip little cafe/restaurant 5/5 !
I was at a conference at UL and found myself in a quandary to find a restaurant that was not on campus (most had closed for the nightthat was nearby and didnt require me going into the city. Siri on my iPhone pointed me to La Cucina as the closest restaurant, and I figured out that I couldnt go too wrong with Italian food. I didnt see the prior reviews until later. The staff was friendly, the establishment was clean and quaint, and they let me tweak my order (I wanted an ingredient left out ofmy pasta dish). I also picked up a cookie and a juice for takeaway. I got back to the university to have my solo dish. It was delicious! It hit the spot and was seasoned well. The cookie was good too. I may have another night like this during the conference, and if I do, Im going back! I really enjoyed my meal there. And the prices werent too crazy either for a home-cooked style takeaway meal.
