Low-key, quick-serve outlet featuring Mexican street fare such a tacos & nachos, with patio seating.
Good tacos, low reviews don’t make any justice and are inaccurate
I had high hopes based on the reviews but a few things left us disappointed. We had to wait 20 minutes for our food after ordering, and while the meat was delicious, the tacos were more expensive than pics here on Google Maps and didn’t come with onion, cilantro, salsa, or picked veggies. Just meat on a tortilla. I guess if you order to go you have to ask for anything besides the meat.
The food is pretty amazing 🤌🏻. Always a good time at La Cocina
It has never disappointed me. Best California burrito in town.
Great prices! Great tasting food! Great customer service! Clean and quiet atmosphere! Best place in town!
Quaint little Cocina with plenty of outdoor seating. Wonderful array of sauces although missing any decent red sauce or jalapenos. Street tacos were fantastic with the carne asada seasoned perfectly. Great place to go for a quick bite or a full meal.
Super legit Mexican food!!! The Senora taco is so dang good. Super friendly staff as well.
Ive been here a couple of times and usually put in a group order for 5+ people. Every time I have ordered here they take good care of us and have never messed any of my orders up. The food can take a few minutes to be ready, but as Everything is made fresh it does not bother me. All in all I highly recommend this place.
It was good food at a reasonable price. The condiment bar was good and their hot sauce had decent heat and good flavor.
Best authentic street tacos I ever had in Utah, Al Pastor is particularly noteworthy as delicious. Would definitely recommend, we had them cater our rehearsal dinner and though the girl who took my order was not helpful the food was still great!
I enjoyed the authentic Mexican architecture and feel. I really enjoyed the tinga and the tacos were pretty good as well.
Best Mexican food in St George! Street tacos and mulas are the best! The salads are also excellent, not on the menu but fantastic.
Way overrated. Food was just a 3, not bad but not great. Bland beans, chicken hardly noticeable and rice was bland. Restaurant was clean and service was good.
Best place to eat in St. George hands down. Authentic and fresh. Better than any other Mexican places around here
Wow!Great salsa bar. Great people.Everything was excellent, and the chile verde is even better than mine. Dont miss the mulita.
BEST BURITTO! Free salsa bar, cheap speciality drinks. Best Mexican food in st George hands down with a cute atmosphere and at a great price!
Wonderful Mexican street food. We had an assortment of items for dinner. The pork was the tastiest and the spicy chicken was good too. The meats were juicy and well seasoned. We didnt like the 4 salsas we tried, as they just werent to our taste, but that didnt detract from the meal. Prices were very fair and the portions are generous.
You will not be disappointed! Legit Mexican food; delicious and fresh and flavorful. We come here every time we’re in town. All the different types of meat available for the tacos are amazing, try them all! Best restaurant in town!
Really great Tacos. Good prices too. They have a nice outdoor seating area as well. Good stuff!
Hard to miss here. Street tacos are great. Burritos are great. What I really love is that they havent jacked up their prices (yetlike everyone else. Dining room is tiny, though the outdoor option is plenty big. Only downside is youre right next to the busiest noisyest street in SG. They do close between 4-5 pm.
Very authentic tastes and good prices! One of the best authentic taco places in town!
Legit street tacos. Burritos are pretty good too. Food is made fresh but its pretty fast. Chips could be better but thats my only complaint. Everything else was great.
Hands down the best tacos I have had from North Carolina to Utah and everywhere in between. I travel a lot and this place was 🔥the prices are really great as well. Next time I come to St. George I am definitely coming back.
Very good street tacos and Carnitas (porkburrito. You can choose your meat for taco or burrito plates, plus they have a salsa bar.Meat seasoning was not overwhelming, and it was tender. The rice did not have onions in it, but it was seasoned like mexican rice or at least the version I was introduced to by a few of my friends. Tomato base, seasoning and onion if desired.Pinto beans (refried beanstasted great with a little bit of salsa sauce. YumThey have corn Tortillas or flour to choose from.
This place always hits the spot. Carne asada and Al Pastor tacos are divine, California burrito is also very good. 10/10 would recommend for some amazing Mexican food
Incredible food!! The Mulitas are amazing! I served my mission in Mexico and this is very good authentic Mexican food!! Very well priced and delicious filling food! Good customers service, great ambience and outside seating!
So tasty and incredibly cheap!! Not super greasy either, we will return!
WOW!! We couldnt decide what to do for dinner, so we thought wed give this place a try. I had the chipotle chicken smothered burrito, no beans or rice, and a scoop of the hot salsa from their salsa bar on top.....ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!"ILL BE BACK"....(with the voice of Arnold Schwarzenegger in my head 😂)
If you’re looking for delicious Mexican food, look no further. La Cocina has the best burrito and tacos in town. The help is very friendly and we love the outdoor seating.
Didnt have many of the menu items. The salsa bar was fairly empty, and it had old onions and cilantro.I have had better better tacos.Perhaps if I had been able to get all the options I wanted, I would have been happier with my meal and experience.
Holy!!! Burrito! This place was so good, I’m so glad we went here! We got the California burritos, it was so hot and fresh and just everything About it was delicious! The meat in it was juicy and their green sauce was good 😊 highly recommend if you’re in St George! I would drive back just to eat it. Their salad and chips were so yummy too
Best street tacos and horchata in the St George area for sure. They are closed on Mondays for some reason but other than that La Cocina is perfect. We are lucky to have them here. Cool outside eating areas available, really good salsa bar and a friendly staff.
By far, my favorite Mexican restaurant in the St George area. Their street tacos are second to none. They recently started serving the newest craze, quessabirria tacos. They are the best I have had. They salsas are so good. This is the restaurant my wife craves the most when she is pregnant. No joke. Never had anything I didnt like!
It is always a pleasure to go to La Cocina. It was said after dinner “they never disappoint “. Great authentic Mexican street food and the beans are amazing. Clean facilities and friendly staff. It would be worth your time to give them a try.
The first time I ate here I got a Torta Milanesa and it was the best torta Ive had in a very long time. The only bad thing about it was that it was small. Too small for my appetite anyways. There wasnt a lot of meat, and it wasnt very filling, but it was delicious. I didnt see that meat on the menu on my last visit so maybe they dont have it anymore? This time I ordered the Chile Verde burrito. It was a big burrito and also very good. They do serve great food and the staff are friendly. Always a good choice.
Simple, tasty Mexican food.Decent courtyard seating though right next to busy highway.
Definitely my new favorite Mexican restaurant in town! I had it for the first time today and I loved the simplicity of the tacos and the great flavor. The burrito was definitely a favorite of mine as well. All the sauces were wonderful. I got the red, green, and avocado creamy salsa.
Probably the best Carne Asada fries I have ever eaten. This place is the absolute BOMB. I have been to many Mexican restaurants in St George but this place definitely ranks near the top. Informal patio area provides great shade and I am absolutely coming back here to try their incredible options from an easy-to-reas menu!!
Delicious tacos(tinga and asada). I had two of each (onions and limes on the side), which was perfect. Side benefit: no cilantro on any of the tacos. You drive up, order at the window, they give you a numbered spot to pull in to, and then they bring your food to you.
La Cocina Mexican Street FoodWe ordered the carna asada burrito, the cheese quesadilla and the pollo mulita with a Mexican coke. The first bite told me that i was not going to be getting what i was expecting, this place is actually good. The burrito was not filled with a lot of fillers but still had great flavor. The steak was cooked well and had a lot of jucie left, but not enough to make the burrito wet. The mulita was a nice tasty chicken and cheese treat a few bites and it disappeared :The quesadilla was nothing awe inspiring but still a guilty pleasure.
La Cocina Mexican Street Food never disappoints! Fresh and tasty!!! The salsa bar is awesome with a simple variety of tastiness. This is a favorite “go to” for great Mexican street tacos! An honorable mention are their mulitas! Service has always been friendly and the place is always clean. Enjoy!
Ahhh La Cocina. Hands down my favorite taco place in st George. After going to Cancún I developed this incredibly intense craving for authentic street tacos and la cocina is the only place that satisfies that craving. All the tacos are so delicious. I also highly recommend the carne Asada quesadilla and the torta if you’re in the mood for a sandwich. The restaurant is clean. The staff is super nice. And sometimes they have tasty drinks in the fridge. I honestly want to try everything on the menu because everything I get is insanely delicious!
Food was great and the atmosphere is low key. We dont eat here very often but we enjoy it when we do. The street tacos are a pretty good deal and delicious.
El pastor tacos, rice and beans.. for $7? Great food and great value. I prefer the fried tortillas at Angelica’s, but the meat here is better. I go here every chance I get!
My boy is obsessed with street tacos, so I looked for a place to get some. We came here, and he was happy. We also got a quesadilla and chips and guac, and we were all pleased. I loved the salsa bar. The outside seating area is really neat and has misters.
This one is a keeper. Great street tacos and very reasonable. I tried Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Chile Verde, and Pollo tacos were all great. Very friendly. Wednesday is their discounted taco night. They also take Android (aka Googleand Apple Pay which is added security for consumers. Looking forward to many future trips. They have Coke products on tap as well. Good salsa bar options too.
Absolutely the best priced street tacos youll find anywhere. And on Wednesday theyre only $1, and the quality is there for sure. Definitely go try it.
This was my first time eating here. My wife went to work and everyone had street tacos from La Cocina, and they smelly so good she HAD to have some. I went in and ordered to go. The guy behind the counter was very polite and helpful even though I asked a ton of questions. The food was inexpensive and tasted really good. My wife and I got pastor tacos and my two little boys shared a quesadilla. We also got some chips and guacamole. The chips were crunchy and yummy and the guac was really good.Although we didnt eat there, the few inside tables were clean and in good condition, and the large outside eating area looked well kept and included small heaters for the winter months. Wed definitely go back.
This is a really cool place to eat. One of the more authentic Mexican street food places in town. You sit outside which is pretty nice. Service is very good and they are super nice. Its street food, simple and quick. Some complain about the cars and traffic, but if you have great company you will hardly notice. Plus youre there for the food and people, not to worry about anything else. These people work hard to provide amazing meals each time I go. Every time I pass by I crave it. I recommend the street tacos most of all! Although, everything I have had here is very good.
Food was excellent! The meat on my tacos was nice and tender. Sauce had great flavor with just the right amount of spiciness. Great pricing! Staff was friendly.
