La Cocina Mexican Restaurant in Acworth

Locations is very convenient. The food is ok not great. Service is exceptional. Decor a little run down and dark.

Staff sitting at tables in the back of the restaurant while customers waited to be seated, waited like 5 minutes and left, maybe the food is good but how would you know?

The Cocina Loco is our favorite meal! Very yummy and nice service every time.

I loved the song they played! Madi was a great person and so nice! The food was good! I recommend staying her for a decade!

We usually love this restaurant but last night was a disaster! Very poor service and the young waitress was unaware that we were not being attended to. I believe the manager stepped in to finally take our order after waiting 15 minutes. My Mother in law was treating us to dinner to thank us for all we help her with. She asked for a second margarita which never came. We asked the young waitress where it was and she said the bar was backed up. But low and behold it was sitting over at the bar waiting for her! My poor Mother in law paid $100.00 for a awful experience. Such a shame as we were bragging to her how great this place was!

It was my first time eating here and I thought everything was great. My server Rylee recommended the special entree, which was good and the bartender Eric did a great job with the margarita’s. I will definitely be back!!

It’s unfortunate this restaurant has gone downhill recently. Poor service, non attentive staff, unorganized, and the food quality has has also diminished. We’ll be finding another local spot for a while.

Vianey was my server and she was so sweet and so nice and gave us such good enjoyable service. Will definitely be coming back!

I showed up nervous to meet my girlfriends mother for the first time 😳. My server rylee immediately created a calm environment for both of us. She recommended the special and #yumm. Not only was my server very good tonight but Eric the bartender also satisfied all needs!!! #ChaChaCha #LocoFriday

My brother and I eat here 3 times a week. It’s the neighborhood drinking pub and consistently good Mexican food. The staff knows us and service is outstanding. Wholeheartedly endorse this place for family and adult food and drink.

We order from here pretty frequently. Their prices are reasonable and their food is great. When we dine in, the atmosphere and service are great, too. They are always very friendly.

Grabbed some Mexican this evening, my wife loves the fish tacos, and I had to go low carb and got some wings. Good came out fast, but they brought lemon pepper instead of hot, no worries, I like lemon pepper too. I guess they realized and brought me a bowl of their hot sauce, so I dipped the lemon pepper wings in the hot sauce, and omg, I found a new favorite flavor. Go check them out, tell them Eric Berry with Fathom Realty sent you, youll love it.

Visiting from out of town and this place was recommended. Came to visit here for the first time and had a great experience. The staff was very attentive and my server Braulio was great with recommendations on the menu and asked questions to ensure I got exactly what I needed. I got the Tijuana fajitas and the special margarita martini and it was DELICIOUS. I got a welcome dessert by the server for being a first time visitor. 1010 experience and would recommend coming here again. I wish this place was in Kentucky.

Our waiter not sure of name. Younger fellow. Was drinking with some loud drinking customers. And I seen it. He was not trying to hide it. And service from him was the worst I have ever had any where! At checkout he informed me he was really busy. I said it would be easier if you were not doing shots with the customers. He again very aragant said that is why he had the big job. Not sure what he meant. I gave 1 star because I didnt know how to score it lower.

They have a special burrito that is listed with beef steak. Have had the steak version and it is excellent. I dont eat beef very often. La Cocina will sub pulled chicken breast for the beef if you ask. The chicken version is also excellent(the dish also includes Mexican sausage which I love, I get both versions with the sausageI have the chicken version all the time. (I know counter productive to keep the sausage with the chicken). There table side guacamole is excellent also. Love this restaurant.7/24/22 update Now I have been eating their La Cocina salad. It has the nutritional types of lettuce, chicken, green olives plus. Everything is still excellent.

Seriously. I sat at the table for 10 minutes or so and no one ever came. They sat a couple and they got service before me, in the same section. This has never happened to me especially not at this restaurant. Happy birthday to me. 👎

Perfect close to home good Mexi! Ive been going here for over 10 years and have had a bad experience.Quick, polite service, good food, reasonable prices, clean and convenient!They have a nice patio area outside as well as bar seating that has a fun atmosphere.This is a FAV place to go to and never disappoints!

I always love La Cocina. The food, and staff, are always on point and the prices are great. And $2 Tacos on Tuesday is prob the best Taco Tuesday Deal there is. Only issue is the parking lot is a headache when it’s busy but that doesn’t impact your experience unless you let it. 😎🌮❤️

The beef tasted like saw dust! The chips were old and horrible! We got cheese dip and it wasnt even melted! Never going back!

Not as good as accustomed to. Salsa was very diluted and meal was not great. But thats a norm here - very up and down. Staff seemed to be very distracted with wrapping utensils. Dont at all like the QR scan for a menu. To me, that is a deterrent. But we will try again.

Had to come back to La Cocina. I love this place. My server Vianey was wonderful and very sweet as usual. Definitely recommend asking for her. See you guys next weekend!

It has been many years since I used to come here, and recently started coming back. The staff have been super friendly, and the food has been delicious. Ive tried the carnitas, steak bowls, and taco salads and havent been disappointed yet. I definitely recommend coming in to give it a shot!

When the menu is tattered and warped from spilled salsa, you know the management doesnt care what’s going on the restaurant. All three menus we received were filthy. Laminate the menus and clean them daily. Its not expensive to do.

We always have great service here but our server tonight, Madison S., was exceptional! The food is always amazing. My husband and I had our first date here many years ago and we’ve been frequent customers since.

Normally I eat at the Dallas location, but this was closer to the University. Went there for after graduation dinner. Delicious food as usual. I always recommend the queso dip and the fajitas. Frozen margarita machine was broken but on the rocks was still good.

Food was amazing and Rylee was an incredible server! Very attentive and sweet! We love coming here and will definitely be asking for her in the future!

Had a to go order today and was very pleased with the costumer service I received from Erick. He did an amazing job and made the whole experience more enjoyable.

Had the shrimp cocktail and some drinks at the bar. The cocktail was good, but nothing to write home about. The service was also good. Classic Tex-Mex restaurant.

We came back in on today and asked for her, but they said that she would be in later. Our server today was okay, but Alicia is thee BEST! We had the best meal at La Cocina a couple weeks ago, it was either called the wawa shrimp taco special or the April special (we requested it on flour tortillas), but they should just call it manna from heaven it tastes so good. We have been back 5 times already and keep begging them to make it again even though it fell off the special list a week ago. Props to the chef, this place has amazing food!

Great food. My server Jay was on top of everything. My drink was never empty, nor my chips and salsa. Jay was very pleasant and friendly. Didnt rush me with my orders. Even convinced me to order dessert. You need more like him. Definitely will come back.

Ive eaten here countless times and several years ago it went under new management. We are there twice but left our food. Hard to ruin Mexican food because its pretty simple but they did. Now it appears they changed it again and the food is back to normal! I wouldnt say its exceptional but its decent and happy to be going back.

First off we asked to be seated outside. There was already a couple dining on the patio. They acted like that was a problem. Then , I had unsweet tea and asked for some splenda. The waitress hands me the 1st sweetener container and the whole thing including sweeteners was saturated with oil. We asked for another one and it was filthy too! I was afraid to eat the food . And wondered what the kitchen looked like! It ruined dinner out with my husband. Im still wishing we had gone somewhere else that we KNEW was good! I for sure, will NEVER go back. I had to rate it 1 but it deserves a big fat ZERO!
