This traditional Latin dance club opens the floor to a young, hip crowd for DJ-driven parties.
Nice place ... but it smells bad if you get to smell it ... near the bar front . Like pee or something . But rn the atmosphere is chill . Not crowded .
$10 cover fee cash only, went on a sunday, definitely an older vibe (23+), lots of weird men approach and wont leave u alone so be wary if your a girl, dance floor is definitely on the ratchet side, music was okay, drinks were fine but pricey, wont be coming back, the vibe was too off.
Dope spot to turn and bust sum movez- get your sip on and work them lips on a couple hunniez
It a good place to hang out but sometimes there is a line to go in the place is a bit small which was a little hot but they have a back area where is cooler
This was my first time here and If you want To be ignored for the bartenders… looking like you’re begging for a drink to this rude bartenders.. this is the place to come.! Never never come back again!! Stay away it’s a lot of nice bars and places to go in downtown LA! Trust me !!!
Great place to dance ,drink and just hang out. Nice outside patio with great views. Entrance was 10$ CASH before 11pm after its 20$ CASH but it all depends.
First experience here and this bartender, Alexiz, provided horrible service. He will skip you multiple times and ignore you. Worst service ever from this single bartender. Everyone else was amazing!
Always a good time... music, location, people n vibes are always awesome. Would recommend to come and get your dance on.
This my homies favorite spot we here all the time the security guards are the best it gets packed sometimes expect Hispanic music.
So apparently on Sundays its fichera night. We were told that if you are a young female the bartenders will not serve you and the order must be made by the fichera (Not an employee). The bartenders will not acknowledge you. I was very surprised and disappointed. Watch out for inflated prices, always ask how much the drink is before you give them your credit card.
Oh my goooood ! GREEEAT! Had so much fun . ALL TYPES OF MUSIC. and if youre like me you love the reggeaton mix they throw in some cumbias. Great drinks, the bar inside does get a pretty crowded so a little wait time.
I want to start by saying we tipped our bartender so well and have been coming here every monday for weeks. She was so rude to us when we got our drinks. She couldnt hear us so she just dismissed us. It took forever to get drinks but yet we were patient because I know what it is like to be busy. You are going to lose customers with an attitude as poor as hers.
This is a fun night club to visit. I like the fact that theyre open 7 days a week so so u can choose when to have fun 🤩😁 ... tuesdays r fun since they play a bit of everything 😜🤟 and its not crouded as sat.
If I could give a 0.. I would. Their dj sucked, Latin music wasn’t even on point, they were running out of songs and started playing basic white man American music, I expected to hear more reggaeton .. sadly didn’t.The place is SOOO small, ceilings are super low which makes it impossible for good air flow to go through with everyone that they cram in. As soon as you walk in you can feel the disgusting humidity, felt like I was fighting for my life trying to find an air conditioner to stand under. I don’t know how it’s up to code with how crammed it is in there, just a bunch of sweaty people bumping into you. ALSO they charge $20 for entry. Waaack.Save yourself the $20 and go to a nice free bar/ club and spend those $20 on a drink instead. To make it all worse they also close 20 minutes early, won’t let you use up all the time You pay for!Trust, NOT worth it.
Small club with great music! Check their IG for info on what type of music they’re playing that night. Gets really hot no ac and it’s a cramped spot so you’ll be dancing elbow to elbow. However they do have a patio in the back for fresh air with tables/chairs. Paid parking right next to the place about $10-15. Cover charge depending what time you get there.
Not bad. The music taste in music was pretty good👌🏿. I would have given 5 stars, but security gotta step it up. Ive gotten into a little situation with some guy that was wasted, but luckily I was able to hold myself down
Would not spend my money at this bar!!!! Went on a night out with friends and was met by a rude funny looking non FBA guard that had braids & a big forehead with a messed up hair line and some raggedy flip flops & crusty toes. He was very rude asking for IDS saying “i see others comprehend” while I was searching for my Id in my purse, then snatched my purse that was around my neck to “check”. When I told him that was rude and he had no right snatching my purse instead of asking like MOST GAURDS WITH SENSE DO…after I expressed how violated i felt he told my friends and I that I couldn’t enter. That is the worst experience especially since they were also charging $10 to enter. I would never give my money to such horrible service. Managers should check cameras more often
Nice place, the old guy who leads Bingo is funny every time the number ends in 6 or 8
I havent experienced this level of unhinged staff behavior at higher end places so maybe this means going to the hole on the wall neighborhood spots isnt an option anymore.I echo the sentiments of violent security. As I read other reviews(Yelpbefore I went, I thought "how can you have no idea why that staff person was awful to you? You must have been involved with something and dont want to share" but tonight I experienced explicit bias and racism to a degree I dont think Ive ever experienced in nightlife.Earlier in the night one of their staff broke glass at our table and ofc drinks and glass went everywhere. We eased HIS fears, walked HIM to the bar and consoled HIM. We had a great chat, he was awesome, extremely apologetic, he replaced drinks - all was well.About 20 mins later 2 security guards approached my group about the broken glass, adamant that we have to leave because we broke the glass. It turned into 4+ adult men(securitysurrounding us, becoming increasingly unhinged while my whole party stayed seated, *intentionally* not mirroring the violence security was projecting because violent men only get more violent when you mirror their own behaviors.Easy enough problem to resolve we thought - the staff person who broke the glass comes over and explains to security that he broke the glass, not any of us. We think its over. But NO - security continues on about broken glass and threaten to physically remove us from the premises. That would never be reality(neverand it didnt come to that. Honestly, I say that as a functioning adult human who doesnt live in their world but maybe they actually would - they did seem giddy at the thought of physical assault. We finally get the story out of security and theres another incident in a different part of the club where glass was broken. Me and my group were outside patio table ONLY, we didnt party indoors whatsoever.Managers showed up and apologized but we actually had to continuously give explanations/alibis for a situation that had nothing to do with us.How exactly is this connected to US? No one knew, not even security. Their exact words were "someone said that someone dressed in all black threw glass". Well, okay...there are a lot of ppl in all Black, what brought you to US?In fact, one security guard was confident it was a certain person, while another guard was confident it was another, completely different personAnd oddly there was one security guard who was especially foul, aggressive, violent, and giddy to harass us. I hope he gets the mental services he desperately needs and his mother starts telling him she loves him(unless she has valid reasons not to and based on his behavior, she just might). It would have been comical was it not for men threatening to become physically violent with queer Black & brown femmes. This is a place to either avoid or bring your own security if you *have* to come here.
This is the best nightclub in Los Angeles so much fun the environment the music everything
Bartender stole my credit card, owner refused to help or do anything, said it is not their problem.Don’t leave your card on tab, scummy bartenders and owner.
The Cedar bar is the best straight/gay friendly club in downtown LA. The DJ’s are spot on the drinks are amazing and the back patio is great intimate and a great place to meet single people. If you like dancing and drinking and hanging out with friends Lassiter bar in downtown LA is the place to go
This bartender just snapped on us. We where waiting for service and when we tried to get his attention he just went off on us. I felt shamed and not welcomed. I don’t understand, the bar wasn’t busy but he claimed that we were bothering him. La Cita, please do something about him. He is clearly a bully that makes people feel unwell.
Fun crowd, good music, wide variety of drinks. The bartenders are nice and know what theyre doing behind the bar. The DJs play a nice mix of cumbia, 90s hip hop, salsa, reggeton etc. They definitely keep you dancing. I went on Tuesday so there was no cover. They check for vax cards at the door, heads up.
Not only did they have a cover charge on top of overpriced drinks, I found that they went ahead and tipped themselves on every purchase I had made with my card even though I had tipped them with cash at the bar. Then there isnt even a phone number to report this to... GO TO ANY OTHER LA BAR
One of my favorite lil bars in LA. The Djs play music from every so many eras and genres. Almost makes me feel like Im at a family or friend gathering. Everyone singing and dancing along to the music.
Loved it! Went on a Tuesday night and it got crowded by 11 pm which is so weird, coming from Baltimore Maryland. Good vibes and older people that are not barley drinking age. Great drinks and music
I love this treasure next door to the market. Service is great, prices are right, true gem in downtown.
This bar gets cracking every weekend after 9pm. Its still good during the weekdays to stop by afterwork with friends and enjoy a good time. Good Latin music and 2 bars one inside and one in the outdoor patio. Accepts both cash and card at the bars but door is cash. Cool spot 👏👏
Great vibes and music just wish they had better ac inside. People are having so much fun moving and grooving but the bar doesnt have great ventilation 🥲
This place is dirty, unethical customer service, long lines proves it, this place is jam packed crowded.Their usual cover fee is $20, I’ve waited for every single time for more than two hours and meanwhile the security guard lets people in.Avoid this place if you don’t like crowded dance floors and smelly restrooms.
If you like Latino music and dance, this is the spot.I came on a Friday night, they charged $15 cash for admission fee. Of course, there are many people on the “guest list”.Parking right next door charges $20, but if you are ok with walking for like 1 to 2 blocks, they have $10 lots too. They have different live bands playing different music all night. At 1:20am they will come to you and tell you the club is closing in 10min.The house drinks are so so, I recommend paying a bit more for the better liquor. The outdoor area is very nice and good for some fresh air.The dancing pit is not THAT big but fun. Many love birds there :)I would recommend it!
The place is nice, I was there for the first time this past Tuesday...the vibe was great.. music was awesome the reason Im giving 4 stars is because definitely they need better bar tenders. The service in the bar way way too slow .I understand it was busy but you can tell when the service is good. And the bar tenders in this place are no bueno .. it seems they are not good for a busy environment. Im sure the place lost a lot of money that day because the service was way too slow. But other than that music was great even though it was a Tuesday you felt like it was the weekend. But definitely pre game because inside you will lose at least 20 minutes each time you get a drink.
Lovee this place for latin music, Wednesday cumbia nights and weekends gets packed💃 Make sure you have cash for entrance. 🤑The bartenders are ok.Theirs an outside patio and inside with diffrent music vibes. Sadly its poor ventilation system in the inside makes it really really hot specially on full nights, stand under the ac vents and dress appropriately for it I guess 😅
I can’t fully explain it. The place is small. A little ghetto. Sometimes a long line to get in. All in all. If you are just looking for a good time and want to dance. This is a good place to visit. You will be dancing almost shoulder to shoulder with everyone on the dance floor. Just don’t be weird. Girls will dance with you for fun. Not cause they want to get your number and all that. So remember. Don’t be a weirdo.
My bar when I’m in LA, it’s perfect. Leave your ego at the door. Have some fun, meet some people. Smile
Cool bar great music great drinks totally cool recommended
Cool place to enjoy a weekend night! Admission fee is cash only so come prepared!Drinks are at a reasonable price and the bartenders are quick.Music is more for a Spanish crowd. Do not expect any hip-hop.
The short, possibly non-binary person with the short blonde hair and glasses was exceptionally rude AF. I have a hearing problem and the speaker was blasting over my ears loudly in the outdoor patio, I asked for certain types beer they may carry and in a condescending way, they/she raises their/her voice and rolls their/her eyes. Not ok and still, I tipped them/her despite the rude service.Overall the venue is great, been coming here on & off for years and was definitely way fun back in the “Mustache Monday’s” era of nightlife. I recommend, never had issues with the other bartenders. Otherwise, 5-Stars.
I never write bad reviews unless it’s really bad. This is not the place for DRINKS. We ordered very simple drinks and half were either wayyyy too strong or we had remade. The music is okay. The only really good thing about this place is the live band. I’d recommend pre gaming before just to see the band. Don’t buy the overly priced drinks they serve. Never coming here and wouldn’t recommend to anyone
Place took me by surprise. Its a pretty chill bar, and parking is walking distance. Had a good time here.
Nice joint to go to. I went on a Monday night and it was great. Fun atmosphere and cool lighting inside and out. I love the outside patio in the back, it had its own bar there too.
Chill patio, the crowds changed from alil but good selection of music, nice patio setup.
Straight out of an 80s Dive Bar!!!! Lol Drinks were ok, "Moist Mondays" definitely made our Girls Night Out a whole lot better!!!😁😁😁😆😆 #RnB #90s #Flashback!
Great place to hang out and great music!! The bartender in the back that helped us that night was amazing I believe her name is Carol, We came all the way from Vegas and wanted a nice place to hang out in downtown LA and we found the best pot!!!
Awesome bar to go on a Friday night. Really nice outdoor back patio with two different bars. We were there for reggae night. I love reggae so it was easy to have a few beers and jam out to some old classics. Cool spot in the downtown area. Drink specials as well.
Attended an after work b-day celebration happy hour...we had good drinks...yummy food from Ye Olde Taco House (next doorthat we were allowed to bring in and also a 🎂. This is a true blue Mexican cantina...do recommend if you want a fun place...for a new adventure.
Great fun spot in DTLA. The back patio is where the cool kids hang lol but the dancefloor is hopping too.
Live music on the Wednesday night when I went. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. Cover charge was a reasonable $10.
Order the Bloody Marys, the best!! Alex from the patio is the best bartender. Love the music, great atmosphere but it gets extremely hot inside. Best bet is the patio.
