Short walk from the ship! Great selection of Rums! We did the rum flight of four different Rum’s! Very good the cost was $40.00 per flight! Staff is friendly and helpful very professional and knowledgeable when it comes to rum!

You cant ask for anything better. Great food in front of the main pier. Relaxing environment. Love the place.

Ambiance of place was great. Took about 11 minutes to even be noticed by anyone to grab a table. Ok no big deal there was clearly no set host so I get it. When finally seated, it took about 30 minutes before we up and left. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted and we sat at a table clearly visible, waitress walked by MULTIPLE times. Not one, not two, but four tables were seated after us and greeted. When one of the tables that had arrived after received their drinks we up and left. I understand the server was the only one there, but people who came after us were being serviced. Not only that but a simple, I’ll be right with you, would’ve gone a long way. So if you’re tired of walking around San Juan and need a place to rest, and only rest, I recommend this place. They won’t bother you one bit.

The drinks were very good and the view was amazing! Worth going here just for the view, really. The food was good, but not great. The service was slow, but not so much so that it was a problem and they were busy at the time. They couldnt seat us right away, but remembered us when we came back after walking around and sat us right away.

None of our food items were great. Edible but not much flavor. Server was friendly but not very speedy. Took about 20 minutes to get first drinks. Prices for drinks not too bad compared to others in the area though. .

Best place to sit and not be served in a timely manner. Waited for half hour and left. Keeping it honest. The first time we visited this place we had to wait a more than reasonable time to be served but the wait was worthwhile. The food we ordered was excellent. So.... if youre willing to do the waiting you might not regret it.

Our bartender Christian was amazing! He was quick with service. Very friendly. Drinks were extremely delicious...but it took 1hr and 25mins for our starter Carne Frita. We watched people come and go with dinner without us recieving our starter. The manager was on the phone the whole time and did not care about the extreme delay on our food. We ended up not even eating half our dish. It was extremely over cooked. We will only be back for drinks only if Christian is working.

Amazing ambience! Best food on the island, hands down. Javier was very welcoming. Perfect place to finish our last night in PR. Deff going to miss this place back home in FL.

Bruhhh, first of all the restaurant is in a pink building - dope! Secondly it has an indoor and outdoor bar/patio next to the water - even more dope. My friends and I visited the restaurant at night and I have to say that the atmosphere is elegant, comfortable, and excellent.We started off with some cocktails and we highly recommend the fresh Pina Colada (with alcohol of courseas well as the Jail Monkey. For food we had the dumplings and wings. Each was very flavorful and delicious. The dumplings made one of my friends a lover at first bite. Its possible people lol.Our main meals were the tacos, burger and salads. All fresh and yummy. The standout for me was the staff. Everyone was polite and attentive. We learned a lot about the cocktails and building that the restaurant is currently in.Go check this place out and support their business, especially since the government keeps taxing them through the roof. Places like this need all of our support because they provide a unique service and quality of food.

My husband and I came across this spot while in San Juan on 7/6/22. The atmosphere and patio scenery near the port of PR was beautiful! Very relaxing and tranquil vibe. The food was delicious ; we chose fire cracker dumplings and fish bites as an appetizer, my husband had churrasco tacos and I had the pulled pork tacos. Our drinks were very packed with a good kick - definitely give the jail monkey & Mai tai a try you won’t regret it ! We’ll definitely be returning when we are on the island again.

This was one of the best parts of my trip to San Juan. Javier was such a delight. The drinks and atmosphere were amazing.

La Casita de Rones was awesome! We had Javi as our server and he was quick and gave us our space to enjoy the ambiance. The sangria was awesome and so was our brunch platter. Beautiful views, beautiful time!

Nice spot to have a drink and rest. It has a wonderful view of the water, when the giant ferry isnt parked blocking the way. There are also 2 tables/couches to sit inside if you want to stay in AC, although the purpose is to be outside. I had one cocktail that was ok (a classic daiquiri type of cocktailand also tried the cod croquetas. They were also just ok. Did not have too much fish in there and could have used more dipping sauce than what was drizzled over it.

JAVI was very helpful with menu recommendations and also tours suggestions! Food was very good. Great location and vibes right on the water!

Drinks so good we stopped back on our next trip to Old San Juan! The Rustic Romance is now my new favorite drink hands-down. The turkey sandwich on the brunch menu was delicious.

Great little spot with good views and cover from the sun. TK was our bartender and she was so nice and helpful. She took the time and effort to learn our names and her drink recommendations were on point. Loved it!

Awesome small place near water. The tacos here are good. Unfortunately they did not fish tacos but even the Vegetable tacos are good!Next to the La Puntilla parking so you can park there for $3 and roam around.

So glad my group and I came across this spot while visiting. Happen to hear it was one of the most highly rated restaurants here in San Juan. Service was super friendly and helpful. Ten days on the island and this place is easily one of the top two places we had drinks at, the other being some amazing mojitos elsewhere. We had brunch and a couple drinks in the morning then walked around Old San Juan for a bit before coming back to have a couple more drinks before heading to the airport in the afternoon for our flight. The ones we had for brunch were that good. In total, I tried four different drinks and my girlfriend tried two different ones. All six were fantastic. The food was very good as well. Hard to rank the food though because while it was very good, we had some amazing food almost everywhere we went during our trip. The view from the seating area was beautiful and the staff were friendly.

One of the best experience that I had today. If you go there always ask for Marta she is one of the best mixologist doing drinks and she is very adorable!. Everyone inside there know how to surprise you with good drinks and food. Remember to ask for Marta for the best cocktail 🍸🍹 cheers! 🥂 😍

I would say that this is more a bar with food not a restaurant, IMHO. Menu includes basic staples to share plus some dinner plates along with kids menu. But the main focus is drinks and excellent view from the outside patio with bar.If youre looking for a dining experience - its better to make a reservation although YMMV. At 10 PM on Saturday night the only space available was at the bar.

Amazing restaurant by sea side. It has a beautiful back side patio with the ocean view. The drinks were good and the service was quite fast. We got out table immediately as we arrived.

Final destination of our culinary tastes tour of Puerto Rico. The Pina Colada was very tasty, a great blend of Coconut and Pineapple. Didnt taste alcoholic 😎

I cant rate the drinks but their brunch food was very good and large portions. The view was great and the staff were quick and friendly. Excellent coffee.

Would recommend coming here just for drinks. Pina colada was very good. The outside space pretty nice, can people watch. It was a bit chaotic because it started raining. We ordered two food items as well and haven’t received one of them. The Caesar salad was average, but good portion. The waiters were friendly.

Right by the cruise port. Love this place. Was recommended by our tour guide and the rum did not disappoint! Must stop when in San Juan

I want to start by saying it was my first night in Puerto Rico we got late to San Juan so we could not go to the morro as we planned so instead we ended up walking around and ended up in this restaurant. It was meant to be the best experience ever in my 36 years of life. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left our waiter Aswad was amazing the best service any restaurant can ever have. The Drinks were delicious He knew exactly what to give each and every one of us and we was a party of 8 . He made sure to ask our preference In drinks and the food was also good. He definitely made my first night in Puerto Rico a success. The restaurant is good but if it wasn’t for his service I probably would not have written this review.

Stopped in to La Casita for a couple of apps and drinks while we were exploring Old San Juan. We tried the carne fritas and the empanadas, both were very good and cooked perfectly. The view was also very nice. The service was good and I appreciated the care the staff showed us while we were there.

Brunch at La Casita was just lovely. The location on the bay would almost be enough, but the food and service was great. Definitely going back in our next visit to Old San Juan.

Really cute place with good food choices and delicious drinks. It’s decorated for Xmas and is super cute. There is a parking lot on the south side of restaurant that’s pretty close and convenient and they charge $3.

Awesome place to stop and get drinks! Also, these people know how to CHRISTMAS!!! They do a full 90 days of Christmas and we’re already fully doctorates when we’re we’re there in early November. We overlooked the special holiday drinks and ordered off the main menu, but there wereLots of specials that looked really good. The atmosphere was really fun and the waitstaff was great.

The restaurant, location, ambience and drinks are all amazing! The food was pretty decent and had good options for vegetarians as well. The biggest issue that we faced which is the reason why Im just giving 3 stars was the SLOW SERVICE. We went there for lunch and it took them more than an hour to get us our food. Ppl had come and gone and we didnt get anything. After more than 45 minutes when we requested they serve us at least the appetizers, they gave us fries after 10 more minutes and the food came 1hr 15mins after we ordered. Which was just a shame.

The drinks are very tasty and reasonably priced for the location. The views are nice right on the bay. Recommend you stop here for some drinks. The food was tasty as well!

Stumbled upon the gem of a rum bar, and happy we did. Gorgeous patio overlooking the water, amazing rum cocktails, and some delicious small plates to share. Also, how cute is the design of this place?!

Great location. We only tried the drinks and not food. The drink combinations are unique. Definitely recommend handshake colada and their version of Moscow mule. We also had Mai Tai which was nice.

Meets expectation! Well, I didnt have any expectation, we were just looking for a restaurant to eat after we arrived Old San Juan at 9pm. This was one of the few that was still open. And no wait to get in. The water front was great! Our table was next to the water fountain ⛲ . It was very nice dinner with some island cocktails! I recommend the place!I recommend rustic romance drink. And the rum chicken with sweet potato fries! Well I think the tripleta dip sandwich was better..

Very fun place to grab a drink and enjoy appetizers or even dinner. Service was fantastic!Had the chance to try Piña Colada, Sangria, and an Old Fashion over a couple of visits and drinks were good. Their menu options changes sometimes and food overall is good.Their fish tacos are fantastic. Was there with a friend that lived in San Diego for 20 years and he said that these were some of the best fish tacos he has had, maybe second only to San Diego options.

La Casita is a great to visit if youre a tourist or even a local! Both food and drinks are equally delicious and the view is spectacular!

This was the most amazing steak I have ever had! So tender, the definition of "melts in your mouth" literally!!! The drinks were amazing especially the Rum Messenger. Every bite was just delicious.

La Casita de Rones was sooooo good! The setting is almost magical. With views of the water from the patio, the al fresco dining experience was one of the highlights of our time in Old San Juan. Its located on the cruise ship side of town, but still has that old world charm of many of the buildings in the heart of Old San Juan. Their craft cocktails are exactly what you would hope to find in the heart of the rum-soaked Caribbean. The food was just as good. If youre like us, youll lose track of time as you sit and absorb the great food and beautiful ambiance at La Casita.
