La Bamba Mexican Bar And Grill 4 in Acworth
Description
Privilege
Good food. Excellent lunch specials that are usually served fast.
An absolutely amazing environment with great and fast service. From the time I walked in to the time I left everything was amazing
MoreStrong drinks! Great customer service!
Im iffy on this one.I loved it at first because the fresh chips are unsalted. That earned an A+ from me. The guacamole was also good. It was the Taco salad with beef that disappointed. It was absolutely lacking in any seasoning so it tasted mainly like plain ground beef, lettuce and sour cream.
MoreAwesome food great team work for service didnt keep you waiting and just all around great
MoreFirst time Ive been in this location. Very lively. Food is great too!
Food was bland, mostly. Not much seasoning or flavor.Meats on nachos was not sliced into bite sized nacho sizes.
MoreI called and place an order and then I got there they closed early and I watched the employees see meCalling the phone. I was unable to get my food. I guess the staff ate it just wow.
MoreIve been eating here since 2019, but not sure what happened. Our fajitas were inedible due to the steak, chicken, and shrimp tasting like it was going bad. We also tried the wings. They tasted old as well. Our server asked was everything ok and I was honest. The manager came around and asked. Her words were with an attitude were,"you should have told your sever but Ill remove the fajitas from your ticket". I replied, that I did tell my server. Neither the manager or server seemed to care. Upon checking the check, she only removed one order of fajitas. She said that she could only remove one. Then my debit card disappeared while i was filling in the check. Again, neither the server or manager cared to even take a minute to look. Im very displeased and wont be returning.
MoreI had the chili Colorado. I specifically asked for it, because most mexican restaurants dont have it. I was excited when I saw it on the menu. When I got it, I was blown away by how delicious it was. I asked extra spicy and it was FIRE! I had to take a sip of drink after every bite, but it was so dang good lol! Im afraid when I go to the toilet tomorrow morning, but well worth it lol.🤣😂😅 My sons chicken fingers were good too! The customer service was great.
MoreAlways an excellent experience sometimes this is my go to place when I dont know what I want to eat...LaBamba Never misses
MoreUsed to love La Bamba! Over the past month they’ve gone way down hill. Service has been extremely slow and rude. Food hasn’t been good either. Not sure if they’re under new management but after the last 4 experiences being extremely bad, won’t be back.
MoreYummy Mexican food in a locals type atmosphere. Good margaritas too. Indoor and outdoor seating
MoreThe worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant!!! I ordered a seasonal drink and they brought me out a sangria instead .. which was a red flag.. from there I told my server I did not want my food . She did not understand what I was saying so she failed to relay that message to the kitchen . The kitchen brought my food amount and I nicely told the man that I told my server I did not want it. He rolled his eyes and took it back. The manager (a rude ladycame out and asked me did I order food. I explained to her what happened and she had an attitude and just said she would take it off my bill (as she should). My server never returned to my table . I had to go to the bar and pay for my sangria (that I did not order… and the server came up to me and proceeded to try and argue you me about how you don’t order food and send it back…. I nicely told her that this was not a debate and to please give me my check … she proceeded to try and argue with me as I had Ed her my card … I ignored her, paid for my sangria (that I did not orderand proceeded on my way. I will NEVER return back to this unprofessional, disgraceful establishment. Take my experience as a warning and RUN.
MoreFood was subpar. I ordered a shredded chicken burrito and got spinach and green stuff in it. Just didnt taste good. The other location in Dallas is better.
MoreMy favorite Mexican Rsestaurant in Georgia. The service is solid and the food is great. This place reminds me of the Mexican Restaurants I used to eat at back home in Chicago where weve had a Mexican population and great Mexican Food for over one-hundred years. Their Guacamole, Carne Asada and Flan are all delicious. I also love their Cheese Anchiladas and Carnitas Tacos. If your looking for great, authentic Mexican Food in the Kennesaw/Acworth/North Cobb County Area then this is the place to find it.
MoreTerrible experience. I got food poisoning from eating here 2 nights ago. It was 100% from this place because it was the first time I had eaten that day. Never again
MoreBy far the best La Bamba. Delicious food served quickly along with great service. We’ve been going here for years and are never disappointed.
MoreAlways an amazing meal! The steak is so good and tender. The staff is so friendly. Never had a bad experience in the 3 years of coming here.
MoreOrdered the grilled salmon and mango tacos. SO YUM!!!Just the right heat and seasoning (and I DONT love spicy food).Didnt know about this place before yesterday...will be returning soon.
MoreWe live right down the road and always have a blast and enjoy the food. We always sit with Claudia and we love her! Especially our daughter, she always asks to go see her which means we know she wants Mexican food for dinner that night !
MoreHad a steak quesadilla here once that was inedible. They chopped the steak up to little tiny bits for some weird reason and there was so much grease!!! Also my water was warm and had no ice. But we went the next time and I got the la bamba special and it was great! They have awesome sangria and margaritas! Their cheese dip is really good too!
MoreI have been to this restaurant location many times to eat before. I recently tried an online order. Will not make that mistake again. Ended up at the wrong location and the young lady told me as much in a rude tone. Then did a 180 degree turn and walked off. Did get my cold order at the other location. I will not patronize a restaurant with very rude staff. Done.
MoreGreat food.. great/friendly service.. had take-out.. only bad thing is- my bloodhound stole a taco when I got home 😞
MoreAlways quick and always delicious. You won’t be able to finish your salsa before your food is served!Edit: if your eating in house it’s amazing. If your trying to order to go they just won’t answer the phone apparently… called 15 times no answer.
MoreA pretty great place overall, and I am someone who generally doesnt enjoy Mexican food. Good drinks, fantastic service (ask for Jose!), and delicious food that is both fast and fresh. Go there on Monday nights for cheap margaritas and good eats to have a great time on a budget!
MoreThe Texas Bambaso is by far my favorite meal. It is great every time I get it! My wife and I love a good Mexican Restaurant and we have looked near and far and this is by far the best one we have had in a long time! We visit about once a week and the staff is friendly. Good service goes a long way and this staff is incredible! Cant say enough good things about this restaurant and staff, great job!!!
MoreGot to love the chile poblanos. Been looking for those since we left Texas. Service was good. Food was really good also.
MoreGreat food, drinks, and service!!! Had the best time. Our server was excellent!
Where do I start. Greetings and Hostess went well . House. Margaritas suck 4-Reallll $2 .99 should have said it all about thatWhat ever I did not like . It tasted like yesterdays rag bucket it was almost embarrassing for me the patron to even complain about it. Nothing was done . Bad Drink food good waitress was great Go Cloudea
MoreTerrible service every time I come, but the food is good. But this is probably the last time I will come here. Our server was smacking gum the whole time. Had earbuds in while taking our order and asked us to speak up!! Never checked on us. And we had to get our own Togo boxes and find some random employee to get our check! Terrible, terrible service!!
MoreDelicious food and friendly staff. I had the chicken Playa quesidillas. It was huge. If it wasnt so delicious I would have left some on my plate. It is reasonably priced.
MoreIt was just OK. The chicken was dry and crunchy in the dish I had.
The food was AMAZING. Where I am from the food selections are between 2 fast food chain. The food was freshly made and the plates were hot! My husband and I definitely enjoyed our dinner and will return when passing by again.
MoreNot only am I missing the chicken in my quesadilla!! The beef is not fully cooked in my burrito. The worst ever! I will stick to Las Palmas.
MoreWe normally love this restaurant and try to visit at least once a month. Today we were in the area and stopped for an early dinner...but never made it past the entrance! The inside was uncomfortably cold and hubby could not sit down for any length of time to eat. He was wearing a polo shirt and knee length shorts, so its not like he wasnt covered enough. We asked the server who greeted us if they could dial back the AC but he said no. Too bad...they lost a sale and possibly a good customer! I mean, it was MEAT LOCKER cold! It is not really hot today, so it made no sense to us. Oh well, we just saved $30 tonight.
MoreAlways issues with this place. Order to go. Told its ready in 10. Wait 45 min bc we paid and it’s cold. Missing something. Never right. Not worth it with other Mexican food places close by. Tried again bc it had been a few months and same thing. Won’t be going back. Food is not bad. The execution and lack of empathy for to go orders us awful.
MoreKEY WORDS = ORDER FROM LUNCH MENU. Ive ordered lunch from this place many times. Good food but have always felt theyre over priced. Today, I called in order for beef burrito side of rice, beans & cheese. $23 is cost they gave me. RIDICULOUS. I cancelled. Manager offered to reduce price. Im not having folks mess with my food so I declined. I can get 2 slices of delicious pan pizza (1 toppingplus drink for under $6 right next door at Jets.
MoreThe flavor of the food has been consistente so far. Very enjoyable flavors. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back.
MoreBought and got steak fajitas with no fajitas! Called and they basically blamed grub hub even though its listed on my ticket. Tried to report to mgr and he blow my husband off. I got on as a mgr in retail to explain problem.. no $ back just acceptance and apology but NO Real manager picked up. Blamed grub hub. Sad. No responsibility. Wont be back!
MoreThis is your standard run of the mill Mexican food kind of place. But the service is always good and food comes out fresh and hot. I love going here. but if youre looking for authentic Mexican food this is not the place. I recommend El Don in Acworth off of bells ferry road if you are looking for authentic Mexican food. Thats the best place around for that.
MoreI ordered them from Grubhub. The supreme nachos were decent, but the horchata is just a drink mix with water. They didn’t even bother putting enough mix into the cup! Tastes like sugar water instead of horchata 😞 $3 wasted on this so-called horchata 😖
MoreI had Steak tacos. It came with rice and beans. Fried icecream was ok. Both were well presented on the plate and appetizing. Tacos were superb. The chips and salsa here is really good too btw. The server brought me napkins without me asking and she was very attentive to my requests. She represented the restaurant well with her top notch professionalism. The ambiance here is nice and the decorations are cool. The booths are very cozy. There is an entire wall of cool paintings. This is definately my new top choice for mexican cuisine in this area.
MoreMy husband went there and got take out. My shrimp tacos were horrible. The tortillas was soggy, and tasted horrible. My daughter cheese quesadilla was soggy you can see all the water for the lettuce in her pan because it wasn’t drained properly and the cheese wasnt even melted. My husband or the shrimp and steak taco he only and two pieces of shrimp. The rice snd beans was cold. I would never go there ever again. This waste of $40. The food was a waste if our money. The good part of the meal was the nacho chips.
MoreI feel very sad that I have to come here and edit my original review of this establishment, but I cannot leave it as it was because it would be misleading. Today I really wanted to eat a good steak fajita and even though I was , with my family, in front of a Mexican restaurant on Barrett PKWY we decided to wait and drive back home to our local La Bamba restaurant to eat the fajitas that I previously so much bragged about here. We ordered our usual fajitas for two along with a side of fajita steak ( yes, more meat because it was always so good). Upon looking at the sizzling fajitas when it arrived I noticed something different, the steak was not the same, not even close to that amazing , caramelized arrachera steak they used to serve, no to mention that we ordered fajitas for two but the steak on the hot plate was really for one. It was pale and undercooked, didn’t look grilled at all, but as if it had just barely touched the grill. I immediately asked if the cook had changed, because not only the meat looked different, but presentation was different (steak wasn’t thin strips, it was more like smaller flat steaks), it didn’t taste rich as before and on top of it it was rare! The “new” manager said it was the same meat, and the cook also the same, husband and I argued it was not, she went inside and came back agreeing the meat had changed. What a disappointment! I loved this place because of its consistency with the food, it was always so good and tasty. Today, even my 6 year old didn’t eat his chicken taco, he said it wasn’t the same, and it wasn’t. We got charged just the same, for half of the meat and half or less of the flavor. Unfortunately I cannot support this establishment anymore. I don’t mind paying for the food, but I expect to be happy with what I get, today was a disappointment beyond repair. While there I overheard others around complaining and talking as well, even about the margaritas being different, so it wasn’t just us.If someone knows whatever happened to the cook and others from the place, please point it out, if they are working elsewhere I’d like to know where because that’s where I’ll be going to.
MoreThat was different I was there with a local flavor coupon which is used to draw in customers but the food was just okay. Our server was the best though very attentive and did everything we wanted her to do
MoreLet me start on a very strong, this is one of my favorite go to places. That being said, the customer service is sometimes great but also sometimes like they aren’t really trying. The food it typically very good, but occasionally I’ve had some just okay or a bit over done. Their chips and salsa and their house margaritas are my favorite though!
MoreVery slow service for a typical Mexican restaurant. Also, what I ordered looked like greasy slop when they brought it out. Drained in overly salty cheese sauce and chorizo oil. There are far better Mexican restaurants in the area.
MoreGreat place to enjoy a lunch. Prices are reasonable and the service is wonderful. Because we work across the street, we come here on a regular basis. Love the chicken tortilla soup. The salad and 2 tacos 🌮 is great too. Ask for the friendly server Diana. She’s wonderful and has the most beautiful smile 😃
MoreFirst of, we had amazing service from Jose Martinez, he’s attentive, knowledgeable, quick and charismatic. He recommended the Chicken Tostones to me and I enjoyed them so much I’ve gone back several times and gotten it again. And the house margaritas are on sale Mondays and Thursdays! One wall of the restaurant displayed a variety of amazing, realistic yet abstract original acrylic paintings. As my boyfriend and I were discussing them, Jose came to our table and we found out that he was the artist. I was interested in one painting in particular and he told me it was $40. I was shocked, with his talent and it being an original large acrylic painting he could charge hundreds. I now own the painting and I love looking at it everyday!!!! Definitely go to check out the food and the art, and ask for Jose!
