LOS PORTALES in Ponca City

Massive portions , not accurate menu. Order a quesadilla and get a flour tortilla folded over a pound of butter. The chicken was beyond greasy. It was a mixture of dripping red sauce, queso and veggies. It was a drowned burrito heart attack special. I wont be back.

Out of everywhere in Ponca that we have tried, this was the best Mexican meal to date. The food was fresh, the portions were solid, and the staff was attentive and made sure to keep our drinks topped off.Overall, very happy with this visit.

Ordered dinner to go and decided to stay for drinks, chips and salsa as we waited on food. Service was amazing. Our waiter was great! Very friendly and easy to talk to. He kept on bringing more chips and salsa as well as refilling our drinks. I wish more places had service like that. Will definitely go again!

Ehhhhh. Food was borderline decent, beer was ridiculously expensive. $7.50 for a mug of draft beer is insane. You can go to any other Mexican restaurant and get an entire pitcher for that price. Service was also soooo slow. Unfortunately we had to eat there for a birthday, so they automatically charge an extra 15% per ticket. $90 for 2 adults and 2 children is wild. If El Patio is open, go there first.

My favorite place to eat at here in this little town. Service is always friendly, and fast.

This place is amazing. The food is great and the staff is always courteous and helpful. Ive never had anything I didnt like but my favorite is the carne asada. Hands down the best Ive had. We travel from Wichita to Ponca City just to have carne asada. Have never been able to find a place in Wichita that even comes close.

Ive been here maybe 10 to 20 times, their services are typically slower that other Mexican restaurants in town, but the food is generally pleasing in taste and I would say the price is average. If you are in a hurry I would not recommend this place, but if they mess up on a ticket they will gladly fix it for you. Overall my experiences with this place have been good with the exception of speed, but Im usually not in a hurry so I do not mind.

Poor service, worse food. The wrong dessert came out before the entree. Soggy crispy taco’s, meal order totally screwed up

My friend was called an ugly name in Spanish to the kitchen staff when she nicely asked for a correction to her meal. Then the person that delivered the food repeated the insult to clarify which table. It was very RUDE and UNCALLED FOR. Wont be going back!!

If I could give no stars I would. We went for lunch after church. I order my meal and when I received it it was incorrect. My friend stopped one of the waiters and I politely told him the issue. He went to the kitchen window and called me a B* in Spanish. Then another of the wait staff repeated it as he brought the corrected dish to my table. Just because I am not a Mexican doesnt mean I cant understand what they were calling me. I found it very upsetting. I will never go back.

Wonderful staff, terrible food. My chicken taco salad was very watery, next time ordered a quesadilla and came out like a large taco with a lot of grease. Gave it a try two other times and still the food was not edible.

I tried a new place... And it paid off!!! This restaurant has an ALL YOU CAN EAT Lunch Buffet! It had ALL of my favorites - cooked and seasoned to PERFECTION! Gooey Enchiladas, Steaming Fajitas, Perfectly cooked Rice, Creamy Beans, Hard and Soft Tacos - With ALL the trimmings..., Melted White Cheese, and the BEST GUACAMOLE IVE EVER TASTED! Its a Great Value, and Quality Food! You should try it!

I loved it. Its mexican food the mexican way. I will go there again and again in Ponca City. I just loved the food environment and attention to detail treated real nice just like another customer. It was my first time and will go again.

This establishment has great food and service. Their prices are definitely reasonable. Have been eating there weekly when passing thru.

We heartily enjoyed our meal. Our server was attentive and our neals arrived in a timely manner. The veggie options were a good assortment and my margarita was delicious.

Traveling through Ponca City, we decided to give Los Portales a try for lunch. We started off with the beef dip and we both liked it. I ordered the Burrito Los Portales and it was good. Mrs. Flip Out had the chicken flautas and the lunch portion was generous and she liked the queso sauce.

Food wasnt bad, I like my Quesadilla crispier than normal and they did it for me(I liked that). The taco was stale though(I didnt like that). The customer service kinda sucked, It took the waiter 15 minutes to get my water(I didnt like that). Maybe I got them on a bad day but if you want mexican food I would recommend the one by the RecPlex.

Extremely clean!!Staff was very friendly.Waiter was quick with my tea, kept my glass full the entire time I was there.Food came out HOT, could hardly hold the tortilla because it was so hot.I enjoyed the atmosphere and background music although I didnt understand the words, it was still nice to hear.

Great food and atmosphere thought I was in San Antonio on the River Walk. The staff was wonderful and I would highly recommend if youre in the area to stop by a give a try. The chicken fajitas are smoky tasting full of flavor and dont forget the guacamole.

Service was excellent..atmosphere is very comfortable.. Food was great.. My waitress definitely earned her tip at table 2 tonight... Very friendly and checked on us just right. She didnt over do it not under do it....will recommend and will go back again

This place is great for lunch or dinner, its clean and well kept. The food is awesome, It is flavorful and well portioned. The Fajitas are some of the best I have had from a restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well, I had a miscommunication one time, but the staff solved the issue immediately. To top it all off, the prices are very reasonable. I have nothing bad to say about this place at all.

Great food and lots of it. Dont eat a lot of chips because portions are large to huge. Service excellent and quick. I ordered single combination fajitas and wife had a la carte grilled chicken Quesadilla. Neither of us could finish. Will definitely be back when in In town again.
