Amazing place, MUST go to when in Barcelona. The staff are friendly and helpful, the owner is a really passionate and nice guy.We tried a couple of their dishes and they were all delicious. We started with a Vermouth and White Wine Sangria, and it was so refreshing and good. Could easily drink a couple glasses.Then we tried the Cheese Platter and Andalusia-style Calamari for tapas. The cheeses were amazing, especially the goat cheese, it paired well with the strawberry jam.After that we had the Pork Cheek and Octopus with Truffled Potatoes. The pork was fall off the bone and scrumptious, the octopus was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were a great accompaniment.We finished it off with the Chocolate Ice-cream with bread and olive oil, and the Crema Catalana. So so delicious, though the chocolate can be intense.All in all, great location that you must visit! Check the times as they are only open a few hours a day.

Excellent tapas dinner! We tried several dishes, all super recommendable. The sangria was also delicious. The staff is very nice as well!We need to return to try the beef definitely

Best dinner experience I’ve had in Barcelona. All the dishes were phenomenal!!!! The tuna with avocado was my favorite and the sangria 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 10/10 recommend!!!! Sean was an awesome server, extremely patient and made excellent recommendations

High expectations were met! Our group was raving about every dish the entire night, but the oxtail and aged beef were the highlights of the meal. The atmosphere was bright and vibrant, and the staff were a lot of fun. 5 stars all around!

We came here on a friends recommendation and it went beyond expectations, easily my favourite meal had in barcelona! Sangria was stunning, the sliced steak with rosemary was beautiful taste and appearance wise and the only thing better was the warm service. Cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking for lovely food at a reasonable price, make time to go here it is so, so worth it.

Outstanding food and not too expensive. Our server, Sean (Shawn?was great. We had white sangria, hummus, calamari, and crystal bread. The hummus and calamari was the best my wife and I have ever had. We also ordered the tagliata on recommendation from our server, it was fantastic. 10/10, would recommend.

Brilliant place! Had our first dinner in Barcelona. Staff were excellent and food was delicious. Valentine behind the bar was friendly and very welcoming. Would recommend a dinner and drink here if youre in Barcelona.

My husband and I ate at Lokal Bar on our first night in Barcelona. We did not have a reservation but they managed to fit us in, however I recommend making a reservation either online or by calling because it fills up quickly. My husband got the Mexican burger and tiramisus and I got the steak, white sangria, and crème brûlée and everything was amazing. The staff made recommendations and made us feel welcomed. We also got a few local tips. If I could give Lokal Bar more then 5 stars I would. The bartender, Valentine, also took hospitality to the next level. We spoke with him through out the night and he made us feel so welcomed to Barcelona. We plan on going back for our second night here. Amazing staff, amazing food, and amazing location. If you do not check out Lokal Bar during your stay in Barcelona you are missing out. Again if I could give more than 5 starts I would.Lokal Bar and Valentine, thanks for the hospitality and amazing food!

Best meal in Barcelona! My husband and I came here after reading the reviews and it exceeded it. We did make a reservation day of. The waitress was incredible and helped us in picking tapas and the meal. The spicy potatoes were the best I’ve ever had.

Perfect place! Food so delicious, please try tuna and octopus, sangria served with cinnamon which was set on fire and if you wanna something unusual you should try old Catalonian dessert “chocolate ice cream with olive oil and salt”. Waiters polite and will give you a recommendation of what to taste. 👍🏼

The tagliata is really good, perfectly cooked and with a nice twist but the Catalan cream is literally out of this world. Its definitely in top 3 best desserts Ive ever had in my life. Oh and the white sangria is very nice and works well with both of them. Staff is super nice and friendly. I wholehertedly recommend this place!

We chose Lokal Bar for a big group event (50+and we have been delighted both by the food and the staff. The cuisine was local and fresh, really delicious. The waiters were really attentive to all of us, and wanting to make sure everyone was happy with the food. We had a really great moment. I don´t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who wants to have a local experience ! Thanks again for hosting us

Service was not too bad and food is so-so. Drinks were dismal. Hopefully they pick up where they left off pre-pandemic based on reviews.

We had a magnificent evening (in fact 2with great food, great staff and a really good feeling of being treated as a good friend of the house. Prices are very resonable compared to the quality of the food. It is really nice to feel that the staff enjoys what they are doing.Special recommendations are hard to give - we tried the tartar, the beef, the calamari and the desserts- and everything was great... and please - start with their Sangria 😎👍🥂.Thanks from the Danes

Absolutely great restaurant! They have various tapas and great choice of meat and dishes. The waiters are very friendly and service is professional. Also don’t hesitate to try their sangria or other drinks - very good!

We was at Lokal Bar Wednesday and Thursday night. Wednesday night we walked in and the waiter accommodated us for one hour and Thursday night we made reservation. Food was good! Bartender was great! I asked him to make me something different of the drink menu since it’s our last night in Barcelona before returning home. Staff was friendly especially our waiter! We would definitely recommend this place to our friends when traveling to Barcelona. See you in the near future Lokal Bar!!!

Ambiance was nice. Other tables ordered since meat fish that they used a torch to cook in hand which was neat. Definitely more cocktail oriented than wine, but overall a positive experience. Great staff and tasty food. The octopus was cooked delightfully.

Great experience!I strongly recommend this place for the food, service and experience itself. We tried the octopus and the beef. They were delicious and the presentation for the beef quite spectacular. I loved the friendly and helpful staff.Don’t skip the place, even though the culinary offer of Barcelona is amazing.

We paid 41€ for all the food and drinks in the pictures. The portions are rather small, the padron peppers are tasty and a lot of them, the seafood is pretty tasty but the “assortment of sausages” is just a plate of slices of salamis.

I checked this restaurant out on Instagram to see more photos of the meals and the only thing Ill critique is the portion size. We ordered two tapas dishes to share amongst 4 of us (tomato bread and calamariand then we each ordered a main dish. The angry octopus (2), oxtail and duck cannelloni. Tapas are anticipated to be small plates, but the main portions could have been slightly bigger. The meal was absolutely delicious, as was the sangria. The restaurant creates drama by setting herbs on fire which is instagrammable but it makes the restaurant smell of burnt herbs which does get a bit much. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot, (flavours are outstanding!but dont come hungry after a day out exploring Barcelona!

A little on the pricy side as far as restaurants in Barcelona but so worth it. My favorite patatas bravas on my whole trip by far. I would go back just for them haha. Everything we ordered for our table was delicious and they had great service as well. I found this bar in a travel blog and don’t regret walking a little out of our way to try it out.

I went around 2:30 pm on Thursday and it was mostly empty. I ordered mixed sausages, gazpacho and patatas bravas. For drink I got draft beer. I paid total 28 euros. Food was delicious and quality was high. Beer was ok. Portions are small and prices are really high for Barcelona. I am giving 4 stars for prices and portions, 5 stars for quality of the ingredients and taste of the food. I found draft beer quality low for a bar.

Service is good, food is okay. My black paella could be more taste and salt.

All the food was really quite tasty. Portion sizes are on the smaller side, but all is done very well. (the olives and peppers being a few of my favorites)

A fantastic place to have out first meal in Barcelona! The tapas were spectacular, and the main dish was just as impressive, with amazing quality ingredients and delicate flavours. A deliciously refreshing sangria topped this all off, with crema catalana at the end. The staff were very kind and helpful. We’ll for sure return whenever we can :)

Visited Lokal Bar as the first dinner spot in Barcelona. Sat outside in the sun and ordered a few tapas, all which were absolutely delicious. The ambience of the restaurant inside was very unique with old instruments hung up on the walls, which the staff enthusiastically explained to me when I asked about them.Highly recommend the squid ink risotto. The service was also available in English, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They even gave us a shot of limoncello afterwards.Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We came here based on the excellent reviews and it is really fantastic place. This is our first night arriving Barcelona and from the warm service to the tasting food we started our vacation in Barcelona in a perfect way. Will definitely come back! The place gets full quickly so you need better to reserve a table

The food was definitely Italy above average with some items better than others. Spanish omelet was pretty average, but the meat plate and goat cheese salad bomb. Sangria was on point and the presentation the the food was superb. Friendly staff that helped with English and good atmosphere.

I loved it there! We were two people and ordered 5 tapas, turned out to be a bit too much but if you find yourself there don’t miss out on trying the olives. And the potatoes. 😋Very friendly staff and overall good vibes.

Well designed, cozy restaurant with good location. Welcoming, helpful staff. Our gluten free request was served professionally and the food was modified based on our request. Very good service! Amazing place! The service was excellent and the food homemade with quality products (organic eggs, wild salmon etcwe loved all the food we ordered and the cocktails were excellent! One of the best places for tapas in town! We will definitely go back and recommend everyone in Barcelona to go!
