MoreIts a well planned and managed center. The collection of the art work is awesome. Some of the work in the exhibition is marvelous, unseen. The culture of each community has been displayed in the best possible manner.Primary diplay is of the bharat art work of different communities. And there are other art work also showcased here that are rare to see.The queries that are asked are answered in the best possible way, Mr. Shivam explained all the possible details about each and every art work, it was with great insightfulness. If you are interested in art work this is the place for you.You can easily spend 2-3 hours in exploring the art work.Photography is not allowed in the showcase Gallery, however outside the gallery you and click some memorable images. There is a cafeteria and a garden in the campus.Do visit this place in ajrakhpur its beautiful !!!
MoreIf you want to learn about the Kutchi culture, this is the place to go. From their clothing to various tribes, all details are available at the museum. We had been to the one at Ajrakhpur. There is one more at Bhuj. To know more in depth about various topics, there is downloadable content available on the website as well. The social distancing policy was apt. However at the moment their cafe was closed because of corona. But you can spend good 1-1.5 hours here learning about the culture.
MoreJust loved the way they have done the Museum. There is proper write up about everything and sample of all stitches are outside the cases to see how they have done it. U need at least an hour or two to go through all the galleries properly. Shivam was an amazing guide with immense knowledge on textile and he is always smiling and happy to reply any questions u have in mind. Their canteen is also good, simple but tasty food. The shop inside the museum complex also sells good stuffs done by all the community ladies. Definitely a must visit place. As photography inside is not allowed, so not many pics to share.
MoreVery calming place .. great architecture amazing place for knowledge about kutch Heritage and textiles and embroidery.
MoreTotally worth it to visit this MUSUEM! Its got all different kinds of embroideries used on various garments and materials displayed behind the walls which are worth having a look at, photography isnt allowed inside but outsides are really great to spend some time. A small video was shown in their theatre about the Gujarat embroidery and handicrafts which was very helpful along with that a visit to the museum helped learn and know much more about all the display! The washrooms were hygienic along with a canteen! Totally would recommend a visit for a few hours! All the display is made by the craftswomen by their own hands.
MoreThe museum is a must visit place. It is filled with artwork of different communities around Kutch. Here you can see many famous textiles and the art of making them. Each and every piece is explained and is very expensive. The museum was quiet informative and the design of the exhibition gallery was amazing. It was well built and structured. If you are exploring Kutch, this place should be the top most in your list.It not only has original artworks but also a shop where you can buy these. These is also a canteen where you can have beverages and quick meals. The museum is not just a display gallery for the famous artworks but also a place for communities of Kutch to explore themselves. In shot: The place is WORTH IT! 😊

MoreExcellent ! The layout, ambience, staff are superb. The craftsmanship displayed is so beautiful n intricate n perfect, shows the love the artisans have for their skill. It has been set up very interestingly with the history and story behind each different kind of work. Our guide knew everything there was to know about each piece on display and was happy to share. Absolutely a must visit. There is an auditorium where a preliminary introduction is given so we went in aware of what was before us.Regular workshops are conducted for the artisans to interact with designers who guide them about making new products which will help promote their art in different ways. This initiative has revived the traditional embroidery and other art of the kutch area immensely. No photography permitted..so have togo see it in person!!

MoreShrujan LLDC has a fantastic gallery (Gallery 1which includes intricate weaving and dress materials which must be experienced (cannot be explainedAwesome experience and must stop for art lovers . There is a saying that "Kutch nahin dekha tho kuch nahin dekha" (If you did not see and experience Kutch then you havent seen or experienced anything). I would say if you havent seen Shrujan LLDC then your trip of Kutch is incomplete. Situated about 20 km from Bhuj, it is easily accessible by road and transportation from Bhuj is easily available (even auto rickshaw or tuktuk can take you there). Factor at least 4-5 hours to see the Gallery 1 only. Gallery 2 was under renovation when we visited today.
MoreMust visit place in bhuj calm and peace ful atmosphere there is also a canteen there which provides home like food 120 per plate
MoreAwsome place.. chanda kaki you have been great inspiration to all the Kutch artisans.. nd have brought them to market. Hats off. May Gods grace be upon you and u continue to preserve the kutch art as you are doing now.
MoreAs you step into the place you can see that these people are passionate about what they are doing. What was started, by a single woman visionary, to help 30 women to engage in their handicrafts profitably, is today 30,000 strong. The documentary is so good and worth the time spent. Upstairs the exhibition of the various crafts and handwork of Gujarat, makes your heart swell with pride and also wonder if we are really being just to our artisans. The lovely building also houses a retail outlet, showcasing embroidered clothes mainly. One can also find some home decor articles like cushion covers, thorans, bedspreads etc . The work is exemplary and the price nominal. I ended up buying a couple of things, with the satisfaction that i am doing my bit to encourage the artisans.
