LINS GRAND BUFFET -McALLEN in McAllen

Im allergic to MSG... I was happy to know that they offered a "prep" table for cooking fresh food w/o MSG!

I love this place the service is great it can get full but I think the food is worth itMy favorite is the area in the back where they allow you to make your own plate and they cook it also the shrimp and sushi are really good 😋

Its a buffet, its good but nothing out of the ordinary. Been going there for years😃

Food wasn’t fresh, it was cold and disappointing. This place used to be so good but it has truly gone down hill in recent years. So sad…

Was not a staff to be seen for roughly 20 minutes. We had seen a seat yourself sign so had gone to sat down and waited a bit longer. When someone did finally see us they seemed mad that we hadnt paid when no one was in front to charge.Very weird experience.

We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop here for food. First it cost 51.00 for 3 adults which was ridiculous. Second the food tasted horrible I couldn’t even finish my food it tasted that bad. Last as we were leaving the floor is sticky you could literally feel the stickiness and hear it as you walk out. I am glad we were just passing through and don’t have to eat here again. I would avoid this place! if I could give it negative stars I would.

Very nice selection of tasty food. Food was consistently hot , was very tentative at our table and others. Was a great selection to spend my birthday lunch. Will go back for sure.

Don’t let the picture fool you!! The food is cold!! It was gross, tried to get another plate you know to give it another opportunity but same thing..so disappointing. Won’t be coming back!

Big fan of Chinese food. This place was awful. Food tasted dated and almost all had like this old refrigerator sunken in taste. It was also a bit on the cold side. Definitely not worth the price. The place is also on the dirty side. Would not recommend to anyone. Used to be a good place, not anymore. Over priced and lame with awful tasting food.

Good service but the food was not good and some of it was cold. Also the sushi had like old avocado in it. It was brown.

Variety of dishes is good, yet some are not that tasty (salmon is super dry). Service is average, and the waiters attitude is often not that welcoming. Dont forget to wear your glove when serving!

I’ll just get straight to the point. Food was still warm but it didn’t taste fresh, and some of the chicken entrees were undercooked. Noodles were also undercooked. Server mixed up our drinks for water, and the lady working at the sushi bar was very rude. I’ve been to other Lin’s and this one is the worst. Brownsville has a better location.

I had a really good experience at LINS Grand Buffet . The food was delicious had different varieties to choose from . Wait staff was polite . Over all I loved it and was very pleased 😌❤️

It was okay. They charged us for a drink we didnt get. And the manager was upset when we asked for it. But other than that rude behavior it went well

Service was adequate, however, that’s as good as it got. Food quality was deplorable, selection is laughable, and even at wits end, thinking there’s no way they could mess up even chicken nuggets, they were cold and rock hard. There are far better buffets.

The food here looks and tastes old and reheated,will not ever come back to this place ever again.

Cost ~$40 to feed 3 people (1 Adult + 2 Senior), I ate a hearty 7-course meal with "Sweet Tea" (they didnt have "Root Beer" to drink), my waitress was helpful, friendly, understanding, and responsive (rarely required waiting to get refills, this obviously scales according to number of customers).My only complaint was: the waitress didnt tell us when she changed shift (to ensure she got her $6 tip money).

The food was great and hot and Daniel our waiter was amazing always on top of things we needed that made the experience awesome,Thank and blessings Daniel.

Clean restaurant, good variety and well stocked Buffett. The ice cream was too hard but thats a minor complaint.

Quite busy, I noticed one of the people that brought food out, they wiped the buffet table but was really disturbing was when I saw him out back food from the side of the buffet and put it in the fresh food that he brought out. I even told him you should not be doing that. I even told the girl at the register as we were leaving, hope they talk to the staff about that.

The food is made fresh, taste good and the location is clean. Lots of different options from your normal and some exotic Chinese items to some more local favorites, incase the kids dont like some of the food and want to stick to pizza again.

Food was horrible and bland. They have cut corners before and used dish soap bottles for sauces and were found to have soap still inside. Their health inspections have been better, but be careful. They’ve had other bad reviews for awhile now.Their food is still poor quality , taste, texture, and more bland than sand. I love food, so I know good food when I see it and bad food when I see it.

Good selection, customer service was ok during our visit. Seemed to be understaffed. They needlessly had three sections closed down and were crowding tables in the middle section making it impossible to social distance.

Selection was large and the food was lukewarm. The restaurant was cooled to a level to make our food barely warm by the time we started eating. And there were no sauces available, even in individual packets. We ate too fast because we were becoming frigid ourselves! Not a good overall experience for us.

I went here seeing their sushi pictures. Let me tell you this not the place if you’re looking for sushi. Good thing is their take out is not that expensive, it’s around 6.5$ per pound

Really great love coming here on the weekends with friends and family although could use more waiters they somehow do take their time other than that great food.

This is my first time to this restaurant. I have been to many Chinese buffet, great ones, and this was not one of them. First, they were pricey. Second, the food was flavorless and burnt. The only good thing about it, is that they have a variety of options. Sushi was not good at all. It was not worth the money.

I usually go to Lins in Brownsville but my wife and I were already in McAllen and decided to give this location a try. The food was nothing like the Brownsville location, cooked completely different and had a different flavor. Even the Mongolian BBQ was very different and neither of us liked it so much. It just had a completely different feel and we will not be returning to this location ever again.

This place had some of the better variety of buffet spread I have eaten. The service was super great . The atmosphere was Luke no otherEvery one isIn our party was satisfied, no complaints. Now thats a 1st.

never again first and last time . The food looked good but as soon and u try it’s discussing.no Flavor in anything the dishes were filthy . It’s just a no for me . Bread was hard as rock and the only thing that was good was the ice cream . Wish I can just get my money back . Not worth it

The lady making the sushi took her mask off, coughed into her hand, drank her drink and proceeded to continue making sushi! She didnt even wash her hands or put clean gloves on!!! Thats disgusting!

We used to eat here all the time but whatever update they did it, it ruined the place. Nothing has flavor and the only flavor they have is rotten meat. The only good thing to eat was the pasta. I wish I could just return the food and get my money back. Oh and the egg drop soup tasted like water, almost like it was just food coloring added into it. The wasabi was just cream, dirty green and not even close to spicy. The bread was hard as a rock.Oh and they serve you considering its a pandemic. They had a little bit more than 10 options to choose from.

Nice clean environment. The steam table food was just OK. Shrimp, craw fish and other seafood option. A hibachi option and fresh sushi that was good.

I arrived around closing time and the food was kinda cold. I got some of the rice they have there and it was hard and cold. The food was nice but cold. After eating, I went to get some ice cream and that area smelled like feces. It was really nasty trying to get some food and smelling that while trying to do so. On a positive note, the service was really good. The waiter treated us really great.

All you can eat buffet. Very pricey, we paid $30 for two people with drinks. The service was good. Our waitress was good and always asking if we needed anything else. The bathroom was not so good. The floor was so sticky and smelly which only got worse as I walked further in. I dont recommend eating any seafood here, everything else is good. Overall I wasnt too happy with my experience.

Pretty good deal and convenient location. $15 USD per menu. A lot of different options. Fried shrimp was my favorite. There is also mongolian grill.

Great place to eat, they have some decent buffet food. Most buffets are very mediocre and bland. Lins has good variety and alot of great sushi to make. Most places dont allow you to dress your sushi and pile toppings. Very recommended to all my buffett eaters.

I simply love this place, it is always very clean, the food delicious, good service by the staff, affordable price, I always leave the buffet with a full stomach and a smile on my face I recommend it to all, great atmosphere for the family 😊
