L2 Lounge - Lounge in Montreal, Canada
Always loved this space for games with friends, some amazing bubble tea and dessert. Been coming here for over 15 years. They renovated (for those who havent gone for a while). Nice and clean too.
i like the variety of drinks and the songs played in store ヽ(ヅ)ノ
Its packed most of the time. Its ok, it meets standard boba standard.
The staff was friendly and the options interesting. I got the Oreo bubble tea and got satisfied. The macarons are also a good specialty of this place.
Who knew Bubble Tea could be such cool drinks
Hands down the best bubble tea place! A LOT of choice and a nice chilling spot too!
good bubble tea, they just take at least 10 mins to get the order done.
Best bubble tea place in Montreal probable. The wait is pretty pong but worth it
They offer dairy free bubble tea! Very friendly staff too 🙂
We tried the taro and honeydew very candy like artificial flavors. Bubbles were really soft slightly over cooked missing that chewy texture.
I did a late night errand to get myself an avocado 🥑 bubble tea. Lately it has been my fav, super soothing, creamy and delicious. I dont have much to comment on customer service related : The customer service is good. The place is clean.
Solid bubble tea. Been going there every now and then for boba for over 10 years. Particularly good for people who enjoy fruit milk teas and who like to replace tapioca with jelly. They have huge variety of those
I had a mango ananas frappe here a month ago and it was so good. Have had a few at different places since but none were as good by far. Will come back here next time I’m craving a milkshake with tapioca !
Always a nice little hangout place, good bubble tea and good desert food!Only reason why Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the tables could be a lot cleaner. Hire me please! Let me come clean your tables.
Best place for a milk tea boba. The Hokkaido milk tea is a must try 👌
I have been going for longer than I care to admit. The selection of bubble tea offered is second to none. You can also get macarons. It has been renovated and you can sit down and enjoy your bubble tea. It does get very busy sometimes and is popular with cosplayers.
Excellent bubble tea. Dairy free options as well.
Used to be a crazy fun spot for food and bubble tea, now is mostly a takeout counter. Still one of the best bubble tea you can get on the island, but youre better off grabbing it and drinking it farther south on the Place dArmes
visited this place as many people had recommended it. ordered the roasted oolong milk tea and the wintermelon sea salt foam. the chain milk tea places are definitely better.
Ordered Watermelon Bubble Tea with Jelly, taste really good!
Best bubble tea in Montreal!! Amazing price and size! My favorite kind is honey dew 💚
The food is good but the main attraction is the bubble tea. They have a nice selection.
Such a nice place, warm ambiance + great service, literally one of the best bubble tea places in chinatown.
Drinks choices are good but thats where it ends. The drinks quality is poor, they taste bland. The store looks old and run down, and is not very clean. But the worst part is the staff - they are rude and I feel like I was being rushed out of the store. They have a complicated menu and it took me a little more than an instant to decide on my order. EXCUSE ME for not knowing what I want the second I walk through the door! Will not go back!
The way to get into the stairs is a little sketchy, but once you go up the stairs and get into the L2 lounge, it is really cute inside. Pink and black themed bubble tea shop, with a lot of variety of choices. I am satisfied!
OG Bubble tea spot in Montréal, their juices and fruit tea base distinguishes them. Chill low-key spot to hang out with friends. Their Grapefruit and peach tea drinks are my favourite. Quick service!
Good bbt place their drinks are cheaper than chatime, prestotea, shuyi but maybe the flavor was a bit too artificial so if you dont mind that then its great!
You can dine in during COVID-19 which was very appreciated. They have nice kpop music. It was pretty cold though. We had the popcorn chicken and tofu as an entree which were very good and fresh out of the kitchen. The presentation was just a little bit off bc the box is so big for the quantity but we didn’t mind it. The poutine with sausage is also pretty good and would recommend it. Portions were generous.
Staff was very friendly, bubble tea was good. It got really busy right after we ordered so they are doing something right. It can be easy to miss because it is on the second floor.
This is the best place I have been to for bubble tea yet!Huge selection of flavors and a nice variety of toppings. This place almost always has a line but the service is still fast. They have snacks available too but I havent tried any of them.A few personal favorites are Hokkaido slush with bubbles and Passion fruit black tea with mango pulp jelly. The menu can be a bit daunting for a first time visitor but is actually not to hard to figure out. Choose your base: black or green tea with or without Milk, juice or a smoothie. Then pick your flavor from the appropriate menu. Finally choose your topping. Bubbles are always great but if you dont like tapioca there are lots of options to choose from! Some flavors are also available hot.EDIT & UPDATE:L2 was recently renovated, which is nice but unfortunately the quality of the bubble tea has gone down. The Hokkaido is not as good. The mango smoothie is a bit watery in comparison to the old ones. I think management changed and now they are more like the other stores in the chain. Good but not amazing.
ordered their hokkaido milk tea with pearls and requested for 30% sugar with no ice. drink was okay- very sweet and tasted very powder-y. has a weird aftertaste. pearls are fine, nothing too special about them. would recommend ordering something else and do double check for the sugar level
I used to go here a ton before I found some other places I liked better. Theres a good vibe, quick staff, good drinks but not as good or creative as where I go now. I often ended up with a headache after drinking anything else than a smoothie. It was about my first introduction to bubble tea! But by now just out of personal preference Id probably go to some of the other places Ive discovered.
The best place for bubble tea really adapted well with this new era. Pick up orders are quick, the staff is efficient and very welcoming. Please stop by when you get the chance. Its a classic in Chinatown.
A few years ago, I would have give 4 stars to this place.I recently went back with a few friends and it was way too f* sweet like heavily artificial glucose heavy processed sugars...If you love taste of the concentrated syrup they put in chemical slurpy, this is your place. If you want well balanced drinks that taste natural, avoid it at all cost
This place definitely lost its appeal since the renovations. Not a casual and friendly place to come spend time anymore. No more tabletop games or table service. Glasses are all plastic now. Ive always loved the service and ambiance, now its all bland. It just feels like any company trying to make money instead of trying to have a nice place where customers enjoy their bubble teas.My opinion seems to be wide spread, as demonstrated by the place being mostly empty now.
One of Chinatowns best bubble teas! Lots of selection, friendly service for a good price. Newly renovated to be more tea on the go than a lounge. Very popular location so come prepared to wait in line. Worth the wait in my opinion.
The food is great quality and the new tables are comfortable. The bubble tea is good quality as well. However their service doesnt clean tables often enough making the place a bit messy. L2 is a casual place over all where you have to wait in line to order.
I used to got very often and loved this bubble tea place but recently the quality has decreased drastically. Also they make a ton of waste as they no longer give bubble tea in a glass cup. The grass jelly and tapioca taste old and rancid and they dont even take the time to mix well the powder as I and my friend could taste it in both our bubble teas. The place is not longer clean tables are sticky and the staff is rude :(I am saddened as this used to be my favorite bubble tea place
I like coming here for my bubble tea, they have it hot or cold. Their flavors are consistent and mixed crowd young, students, and professional people. I visit this place 3 or 4 times a year.
This place was upstairs of a building which I think adds a good lounge vibe and suits their name, L2 Lounge. Its a great environment for sweet drinks with friends and chit chat. Has a good selection of bubble tea and other hot/cold Asian sweet tea drinks. The lounge offers a small selection of quick-bites food choices. We got the Thai iced tea which was delicious. It tasted like the real Thai iced tea and wasnt overly sweet. It was refreshing. It was served in a large beer mug which added to the lounge experience. The poutine here could be better although we werent expecting much from a bubble tea shop. The fries were thin, long, and definitely not freshly cut.. Most likely frozen bought. Gravy was okay and towards the edge of being salty. Cheese curds were not real cheese curds.
Poutine looks good... from 5 feet away. Up close however, I dont know.. it looks like McDonalds fries. Can someone here explain? On the other hand. Bubble tea here is great. I mean look at the dine in portion. There is wifi, hip music, I guess. Attracts the young crowd. Therefore, not the best place to get work done or study. I mean, one could certainly try. Honestly, better than the chain spots in Toronto.
This review is ONLY for Bubble Tea as I have not eaten there. Ive gone numerous times over the years and have always enjoyed the Bubble Tea. Especially the milk teas (taro is great, watermelon is super sweet but awesome in the summer, Im on the fence for lychee and the black and green teas are great all the time with bubblesI only wish they could cut the sweetness a bit. The location is huge, comfy and low key so you can easily get some friends together to relax and catch up over a drink or play cards.
Pretty sweet, I’d recommend 50% sugar but the passion fruit green tea was very good.
I purchased the Hokkaido slush which was tasty and refreshing but made with too much ice. I ended up sucking air after only two sips and had to wait for the slush to melt. There was only one order ahead of mine but it still took 15 to receive my drink. I like that theres seating room here so you can relax and chat with friends. The washrooms are very unclean.
This place is busy, especially on a hot day! Their bubble tea is pretty good. They use real fruit, and not the fake powder. They do add a lot of sugar though. There avocado would be better if they added a whole avocado for more taste -- it was lacking for the most part. Other than that, their real fruit mixed berry, greet tea with lime, and original Hokkaido milk tea was very good.
I would recommend the Hokkaido slush, Thai iced tea, and matcha slush. It is busier at night than during the day. Fast service, great flavors!
I really enjoyed the boba tea here. I got taro milk tea and it was delicious. I could taste the tea flavor and the taro was perfect. You can either get taro milk or the taro milk tea. It looks like their cups to stay are a lot bigger. There is a ton of seating and a foosball table. I would definately return. Unfortunately they only take cash so thats a drawback.
Tasty bubble teas and moreVery hip and cozy place with lots of customersThey offer some games too and the atmosphere is funNice selection of bubble teas and more, but I only ever go there for the bubble teas!Theyre always busy but theyre also always fast! You wont wait too long even if theres a line upDefinitely go there if you want tasty refreshments
Have been going to this place for years and have to say that it never disappoints! The staff is always very friendly (no matter how busy it gets!and even if it takes long for the drink sometimes because of the sheer amount of clients, the employees are hard-working and you can definitely see it! Also not many people know that this place is not only for drinks but for food too! Unfortunately the kitchen only opens at 2 PM but their food is delicious too! I will be coming back for years to come!
Very good bubble tea and quick service. The price is in the norm. Personally I tried the oreo bubble tea and I was pleasantly surprised of the result. My Asians friend all recommend that place so I think thats a good sign.
