Another place which has Burrata cheese xDVery peaceful dining place. They have a tennis court too. We can ride the boat before rainy season. Wine and dishes dont need to mention much. Always superb. The service as well.

We enjoyed a fabulous time at LOpera on January 1st 2020 whilst celebrating our sons wedding reception. We were visitors from Australia and the owner couldnt have been more welcoming or do enough for us. The setting outside was stunning and the food was absolutely delicious- the best weve had in Myanmar! HUGE shout out to everyone. Would highly recommend! Truly a night to remember!

My favorite restaurant in yangon, but last time I was really sick. Probably the chill chain for the cold cut didnt work properly

Very average food for a "famous" italian restaurant.Service ok but main dishes were late and not coming together even if we were only 3 persons.New comment today...Went again last week.No improvement with an arrogant useless service when we arrived.Another sad story with these old establishments which live with their past glories when they were the only ones in Yangon.Overall the place is dirty too. Needs to be refreshed..... Nothing much to buy in their bakery shop too.Wont go again and will not recommend.Waste of time and money.

There’s no excuse for such poor quality and taste when the cost is so high. L’Opera owes me a refund! My order was the $24 chicken and $11 red tuna tartar with avocado.The chicken was smothered in a lemon-like taste cream sauce and the tuna was served frozen with the finest bits of a one avocado. Words can not justify my shock and disappointment.But if you have money to throw away and don’t care about taste, then give this place a shot. Maybe your experience will differ.Good luck!

Excellent restaurant with delicious food and attentive service. Very nice ambience. Not the cheapest of course, but not terribly expensive either. Really worth coming here. Also possible to enter directly from the Inya Lake Hotel, no need to walk or drive all the way around.

The garden view is nice but at night, there are mosquitoes and insects flying around so its kind of annoying. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. At night, the MPU/ JCB cards dont work (not always but usually most of the shops say the same thingas the connection is too slow. Only Visa works. So make sure you take enough money or bring Visa instead of other cards.

came for lunch but left after 5mn ...air con off as it looks they turned it off when no customers...totally careless servicebought a few sandwiches and chocolate tarte at their bakery corner instead.wont go back to that place that looks like needing a big refreshing up !

Probably the nicest restaurant in yangon or even Myanmar. A little expensive but an amazing view on Inya lake and even a live musician softly playing guitar music. Its so nice and we mostly go there as a special treat.The food is always to a high standard and tastes amazing. I dont think there is anything they can improve, thats why I gave them 5 stars

Lovely lakeside setting- beautiful for sunset or in the evenings with many lights and table candles. Sadly many mosquitoes also like it and you!! Inside seating is very elegant and s good menu with good food. Authentic wood fired pizza in the oven outside. An easy walk from Inya Hotel for a change in dining.

Home made pasta ravioli were melt in the mouth. We has some fantastic wines from the volcano in Sicily Etna that we didnt think we would ever find in Myanmar. The Chef Christina came out to great us and all the staff were very attentive. Grazie mille

What is special about the place is that every table has candle and we can have candle light dinner anytime without requesting. European food is also special. Really cosy place next to Inya Lake. Went there on a Monday night for dinner and it was not too crowded. The staff were very polite and welcoming. We ordered the Burrata, the LOpera pizza and the pasta with pancetta, and ended with the Panna Cotta. All were delicious, and come with a great selection of wines to be paired up with.

One of the best Italian restaurant out of two in Yangon (the second is Cafe Dibar, both are very nearit has indoor & outdoor places, better go at evening, the traffic to there always have a bit jam, little pricey but after all its worth to try.

Located next to the Inya lake surprisingly quiet even though it is located next to two big night clubs. The food was super well prepared and presented. Seafood spaghetti was awesome with beer and finish with house gelato!!! What an evening I spent. The garden is nicely decorated and well maintained. Must visit in Yangon.

The restaurant is quietly and comfortablely providing a decent service. Taste of all the foods are pretty nice and price acceptable. Only the volume of the business lunch is too much. It will be better to cut the soup half and the main dish to 2/3.

The mushroom soup is very terrible, may be not suitable for our Asian taste and a little bit pricey. Other than that everything is ok.

Good ambient. Food was a bit disappointed. Our food was quite salty (I had onion soup n baby clams spaghetti). Strawberries mouses texture was hard.

Nice restaurant by the lake. Could not get photos as I went at night. I enjoyed the lasagna I had there, and the ice cream with coffee as dessert.

The only real Italian restuarant in town so far. The menu has all the most famous dishes from Italian cuisine and the venue by the lake is amazing, especially during the dry season when you can eat in the garden. Private rooms are available for business and romantic dinners...

Food is OK. But the sitting is just great! Idyllic place for your dinner but without torch or night vision equipment you will have a hard time to chose from the menu. Walking distance from the Inya Lake Hotel!

Great location (century-old colonial building), great food (antipasti and pizza were more, than just good), great service. Cant recommend this place highly enough!

I was invited to dinner at LOpera in February 2013. Keen to look through the restaurant and garden, I arrived early. The staff greeted me warmly, and despite a little confusion over my friends reservation details, the staff were nonetheless happy for me to look around. They even arranged for the chef Fabrizio to come out and say hello and see if everything was all right. Nice touch.The highlight was being seated in the garden at night over looking the water. The starter dishes were mouth watering and the mains equally as delightful.The issue over chilling red wine however, can be a point of controversy with customers in any Myanmar restaurant, so I suggest if you BYO red wine and dont want it chilled, to be specific with your request. Equally when ordering red wine, be clear if you want it room temperature or not.The restaurant host Lisa is also most gracious and willing to spend time with guests, and is always diplomatic knowing when to disengage to allow you to enjoy your meal and table conversation.If you get the chance take a look at the stunningly decorated upstairs rooms. Much time and effort has gone into making these unique spaces.Enjoy LOpera I highly recommend it.
