Kyochon Chicken - Fried chicken takeaway in Seoul, South Korea
soy garlic wings and drumstick soooo delicious
Great Korean Fried Chicken! Very tasty and soft! Highly recommended!
Really good fried chicken served decently quickly and tasty to the bone. Pair with some Max beer or local craft, and enjoy either the spicy or garlic soy versions to your delight. Lots of space in the restaurant, and they seem to serve wine pairings too!
Crispy skin, juicy meat and tasty. I love Kyochon the most and I love that they open 24 hours
Canadian traveller here. I love their friend chicken. We ordered the half and half series and we did not regret it. It’s perfect for 2 people. We also ordered cheese fries which went really well with our chicken. It was only approximately 30,000 KW. There is a self-serve bar with Thai chilli sauce and honey mustard as well as the pickled daikon. You pay up front and do not need to wave down a waiter. There is a call button on the table when you are ready to order or when you need a refill for your drink. I would recommend coming here when your in the area.
Terrible service, terrible, terrible attitude. AVOID this place.Response to business’ reply:1. I am not a foreigner.2. I did use your Dongdaemun store.3. I used the Bae dahlae mjnjok app.4. I ordered chicken and waited over an hour.5. The delivery NEVER happened.6. So I called and your store employee said the delivery person and the store tried to call. Lie.7. No one from your store ever called.Fix your system and attitude.
Tasty fried chicken served in generous sized portions. Good staff too.
The food is good. The service though, especially if you are not Korean, is lacking. I have fond memories of ordering from Kyochon when I used to live in Korea. The original, with a crisp, flavorful coat around tender chicken meat, was my favorite. So much, in fact, that when I visited Korea with some friends who were there for the first time, I made it a point to bring them to a location to try it out. We were in the vicinity of this location, so we dropped in to order take out. The location looked nice and clean, and there were a lot of people. I ordered in Korean and was told it would take 30 minutes. That was understandable, so we paid and decided to wait at a table in the corner. We waited 30 minutes, kept seeing people who had walked in later than us get their food, and continued waiting 20 more minutes for our order. When we finally got our food, the waitress took 2 seconds to drop off the bag on our table with a sour look on her face. No smile, no sorry about the wait. Not even a thank you. Like we were less than dogs. The chicken was still good but the whole experience left a horrible taste in my mouth. I maintain that Kyochon is still worth a try, but just not at this location, if the service is going to be like this.Edit: Unless its not clear from my review above, this was not about the wait. This was about the rude waitress and service. Dear owner of the place, you were not at the place at the time when we received our food. You did not witness the waitress DROPPING the bag on top of the table we were sitting at, and just leaving. Nothing said, no smiles, no nothing. I sincerely hope you have re-educated your staff, or let go of the staff members who are hurting your service. Other than this, I wish you well.
Delicious chicken. Got a whole chicken - half&half garlic and chilli. The chilli is spicy after a few pieces. They come out just the right temperature to eat. Pairs well with the light beer. Recommend this place.
The best fried chicken I ever had. Just cant believe they can make this amazing food. Chicken is soft while the outside is crispy and juicy and the amazing thing is, you can only find the source on the paper under the chicken, but not the oil, but the chicken is still soft. It is real good!
Great chicken! Decent selection of beers.
Best fried chicken I have ever tried. Can buy half portion chicken and the portion is quite big.
Came in January this year and tried 2 different fried chicken places which were disappointing. We walked from Myeongdong to the nearest Kyochon chicken place and we were really happy we walked 1 km in the freezing cold to get to the place. The spicy and soy garlic were okay but the honey chickens were really really good. The skin was crispy on the outside and the chicken was soft on the inside. We ordered a half and half wings (half spicy and half soy garlicas well as a full wings (honey). We also ordered the cheese buns and the garlic rice. The buns were great as well. Rice was ordinary. We are a family of 4 adults and we just managed to finish what we ordered for lunch. What was surprising was the restaurant only had 3 school girls and us during lunchtime so we didnt have to queue. This is the restaurant near the cityhall subway.
We tried 3 flavors of chicken( honey, soy sauce and spicyand I like all of them. Side dishes like fried rice and sticky rice cake are also good.
This shop sits in a building on Level 2, i.e. one floor above ground. The ground floor is a KFC which was slightly confusing. Ordered the original garlic soy whole chicken set for two. There is enough food between two. The chicken is flavourful but not particularly juicy. Service was average with no complaints. I would not recommend for someone to go out their way for it though but it is open 24 hours so convenient for someone who may be looking for a late night snack!
9 of us went to this recommended restaurant. We wanted to order 2 baskets of chicken with side orders of fried rice, cheese balls and bread with tomato stew coupled with beer. We were told that they had a policy that every 4 persons should have a minimum order of 1 basket. No matter how we explained to them that we wanted variety and did not want to waste food, we were told that they could not bend their rules. We ended up cancelling the orders of the side dishes so that we could add the 1 more basket. While this may be because of profit issues, such policies don’t seem to take customers’ satisfaction and needs into consideration. It was not as if we were unwilling to part with the money because the prices were reasonable. But we just don’t think we should waste food and wanted variety. Very disappointed. Anyway, the chicken is nothing to shout about although the craft beer was nice.
Even at 4.45 pm on a Tuesday evening, we had to wait for 30 minutes. The chicken was definitely worth the wait. We ordered garlic soy chicken (drumsticks with winglets and drumletsand they were soooo good. Will definitely visit again! 👍👍👍👍
This place is just above KFC, open 24hrs and super tasty food and drinks. Staff are a bit lost at times but mostly attentive and helpful. Very quite and calm place to hang out with some chicken and beer.
Wow, wow, wow! This chicken is out of this world! Not anything like American fried chicken; it has a really crispy outer and very juicy inner! We had the drumsticks half garlic soy and half spicy which (spicy was my favoritewere so contrasting and delicious to change up the flavors. We also got the boneless honey series because we wanted to try it all (then we took the leftovers home)! We had Cass beers on tap which (Korean Budlight?but tasted a lot better and very smooth! Please visit this place if you’re a chicken lover!
Chicken was good but staff was not so friendly.
Chicken was nice. The spicy one was too sweet. 30 mins to gets my order. The restaurant was pretty empty too so not sure why so long. At least it was hot and crispy. Slightly pricey.
Very average chicken. Ordered honey strips and garlic soy chicken. The honey strips were ok, but the garlic soy was the most underwhelming I had so far. Very generous portions though, struggling to finish them.
So yummy fried chicken. Next to the beautiful Dondaemun design plaza. We ordered the soy sauce and rice garlic flavors. Cannot miss this special Korean fried chicken if you are a visitor like us 😁👍. Very nice place and good service. Love it
Nice, there’s many different sauces can choice
Solid chicken restaurant with good flavors and reasonable prices. However this was not the “best chicken in decades” as another reviewer mentioned it is solid chicken in a nice atmosphere. However the doorbell chime is incredibly annoying and will drive you insane if you sit anywhere near it so aim for a corner.
Really tasty chicken. Honey chicken is highly recommended.
come to Korea u must to go to hereorder chicken with beer, radish is nice
Very fresh and crispy chicken. However, expect a long waiting time - an average of 20 mins waiting for seats and 30 minutes for the chicken to be freshly cooked.
A famous brand of deep fried chicken in Korea, many local and tourists come here for deep fried chicken, it is quite good to have it with beer. Takeaway and dining in were also available, it opens 24 hours. The chicken was cooked after order made, a long waiting time up to 30 minutes is needed. For dining in, there will be some snacks available before the chicken ready, but for takeaway, you can just sit here to wait a long time or you can walk around nearby.
The food was great, the service was fast, and good beer was cold. It was a great place to eat after a long the shopping and sightseeing in Seoul.
Dude.Best chimek evah~Better than twotwo because they literally grated raw garlic on my chicken. Which was definitely not what I expected.
they have the best chicken! but sadly you have to wait at least 20 minutes to be seated and 30 minutes for the food :(
We ordered a half and half. We waited at least 40 minutes and I don’t think it taste that good as everyone said.
Good taste, have to agree it is not just famous but also really good to eat. Very easy to find the place, just in the exit of Subway, 2nd floor of KFC which you should easy to get there. Recommend for you.
One of the yummiest fried chicken in Seoul . Only a few steps from Dongdaemun Station - Exit 6
One of the best fried chicken in Seoul. Must try the half-half chicken with honey soy and spicy sauce. Best paired with Max wheat beer!
Korean fried chicken franchise famous for its soy sauce chicken. Original chicken is the one with soy sauce. Also Red combo and Honey combo are popular among young people. The waitress are mostly foreigners who can speak English and other languages. I think its because of foreign customers. When I visited all the people except me were foreign people. The restaurant is located on the second floor and the space is really huge. Theres also a toilet inside the restaurant. The franchise itself is also notorious for is small portion and high price. However, I felt like this place used a bigger chicken than other branches. So I didnt had any problems with the portion.
Chicken is good, service was good. But the side dish of chips wasnt great at its price point. Overall I would just come back for the chicken. But its pretty expensive compared to other chicken places
It’s 24hrs Chicken Place. Price acceptable but Food so-so. Tried better fried chicken with similar price. Service really debatable. Yes they are busy but mainly because people are waiting for food. Waitress just hanging around talking in front. When we asked to add the crackers and reddish pickles waitress just grab crackers basket and go. When came back we told her need pickles too she was mad that we asked her to go 2 rounds. The fact that we got to wait for our food an hour We thought that they would serve us more snacks. We will not go there anymore.
Went here multiple times during my vacation. Popular tourist spot so there will be English on the menu, and of course there will be a wait for table. They have buttons on the table to ask for service so in a way service is pretty good.Obviously go here for the fried chicken and beer. Chicken is moist no matter it being a white or dark piece. You cannot go wrong with this place.
It is good but not as good as expected. Crispy but not juicy. I went there on Monday night so avoid Friday and weekend so you don’t have to line up.不錯吃,但沒有吃過的two two 哪麼juicy. 星期一晚上來完全不用排隊耶
Very easy to get to. It is right at the train station exit 6. This place is good to come in a group. There are a good amount of seats and a relaxed environment. Ice cold beer and get the red pepper sauce if you like spicy. You cant go wrong with the other sauces either.
Worth to visit again and again. Fabulous combination of chicken with beer!
Delicious chicken. No idea how they get so much flavour into the chicken and keep it crunchy! Loved it! Get the kyochon original. Dont bother with the rice coated breasts and thigh pieces, they were dry.
Very crispy and tasty! If you love spicy, you must try their red pepper sauce chicken wings!! Damn hot taste! Be prepare to wait 30 minutes for preparation of the food, if you are in a hurry to eat forget about it. If you cant finish your chicken wings, you can always ask them to help u pack the remaining food for take away.
Very tasty!! Fried nicely. Expensive, 19000 for a whole small chicken. Also a long wait - half an hour - but at least you know its cooked fresh! Also inflexible with sauce mixing so we only got to try garlic soy, which was really good.
The red chicken was pretty spicy so it did provide some kick! Chicken sticks were not as huge as I imagined it to be, but otherwise tasty. The craft beer was a nice match with the chicken too!
Second time visit, still delicious. Remember to order the half and half chicken, you get to taste more flavours. Also, craft beer is a must. Plus, it opens 24/7, whats not to love?
Love Kyochon, although it is a franchise, still taste much better than the other fried chicken chain store!
Its got to be good for me to have gone twice within a week.Great craft beer, the pilsner would be my favorite from this shop.Get half and half whole chicken as you will get a better range of flavours from the meat.Easily spotted, its located above KFC, 😂
