Kyaw Kitchen in Chauk

The owner is incredibly nice and hospitable. Speaks impeccable English and gave great recommendations for the area. Food was incredible. The Myanmar traditional dishes were presented in an elaborate manner and were delicious.

A lot of mosquitos and the waiting time for the food was quite slow, even though we were the only customers in the restaurant. The farmers rice and fries were not that nice, but the chicken breast stuffed with tea leaves in pumpkin squash was really delicious.

Nous avons été un peu déçu par ce restaurant. Le cadre est agréable mais les plats sont moyens. Nous avons pris 2 risottos à la mode birmane et cela navait rien dextraordinaire. Le restaurant est un peu excentré et difficile à trouver.

Nice place in New Bagan both for lunch and dinner: the patio its really nice. Myanmar dishes are ok, vegetarian hamburger can be improved.

Sadly a miss! Came here on good reviews, some items on the menu were not available (drinks AND foodso decided to have two "traditional " dishes..The sweet chickenCurry was just warmed up bits of chicken with a curry sauce that literally tasted like French onion soup from the can !The fish curry was not better either. No flavour, quiet disappointed although staff is nice and the beer is cold .

Staff is friendly but inexperienced.Location is beautiful. Unfortunately was the food not as tasty as we expected. French fries were more or less raw. Veggi burger was not hot. Food was more or less flavourless.

Food have no flavour whatsoever. Warm beer. Ran out of mix for local cocktail. The staff friendly but not overly. If you enjoy bland flavorless food go there!

I loved this place. Our host was the friendliest guy and food was very tasty. The garden is very nicely decorated and tranquil. Would definitely come again.

Came here after sunset for dinner. Kyaw kitchen offers international food with standard. Ordered a seafood risotto and myanmar green tea which was refreshing.

We had a cooking class at 25000 Ks per person, which had us cooking a vegetable and fish curry. They served another chicken curry, appetizer (fried leafand lentil (dhalsoup. Food was really good! Owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Recommended!

Cozy restaurant surrounded by trees. The owner is friendly and the waiters are caring even if their understanding of English can be limited.We had Myanmar Funghi Risotto, Fried Noodle with Chicken and watermelon juice. Everything was tasty and the portion were big (especially the Risotto).

Tranquil restaurant with very nice food. The restaurant is located in a garden, very peaceful and quiet place to eat. The vegetable Curry was very tasty and big portion, served beautifully. Staff did not speak great English but were very accommodating and friendly. Definitely eat here.

A little off the beaten path. Super great food. Obviously freshly prepared. Mostly due to the low season, we were the only people here.

The food was yummy and got many choice with good price, which could be fit for all tourist from all over the world. The most important is the boss was giving training opportunity for the student to learn English and being a good staff when they were in school holiday, they will pay salary for the student too!

Bella atmosfera e ottima cucina. In Du abbiamo preso un tempura di verdure e due piatti principali, uno a base di gamberi e uno a base di pesce. Tutto ben cucinato. Il posto è tranquillo e piacevole.

Belle terrasse présentation soignée jai pris un curry végétarien très bon si vous aimez comme moi les légumes.. en entrée la soupe au lentille est très bonne ( jaime les lentilles)

Excellent restaurant à New Bagan. Cuisine très raffinée à linfluence française. Nous avons eu des feuilles dépinards à lapéro : très bon et original. Les pâtes sont aussi bonnes quen France et les plats birmans très raffinés. Le cadre est très agréable : terrasse et jardin au calme, loin du centre. Enfin, la patronne très sympathique nous a beaucoup appris sur la ville, la culture birmane et nous a même offert un petit cadeau avant de partir. Très bonne adresse !

Good effort was put into making a nice ambiance here. Unfortunately, said effort was not applied toward making the food above average.

Dont know why this place has such a high rating. Only one dish in three was edible. The tempura was a inch thick and the pork tough and fatty. Lentil soup was great, though.

Wonderful Myanmar curries served with salad and "chutney" in great ambiance under a thatched roof terrace. Recommended. But be prepared that there is no Wi-Fi.

Its hard to find places in towns like Bagan, far away from where culinary treat is expected, but where passion for food and sense of what needs to be done to have it all comes together. Hands down, Kyaw Kitchen got the formula right. The quality of food, service, the ambiance and music, and secret fifth ingredient makes it my favorite spot in town. Try Butterfish with creamy spinach, custard potato and balsamic cream sauce, must have dish.

Very nice lunch we had there. Nice and simple continental food. I remember seeing some noodles on the menu as well. Quite expensive for the country but the terrace should please anybody, especially in the evenings

One of two restaurants (the other is Naratheinkhain New Bagan worths checking out if youre looking for a bit more fine dining experience. The service and the foods are excellent.
