awesome indian ,keralite traditional food ,very nice taste ,you will feel the taste
Awesome restaurant for Meals. All dishes are so tasty..Biriyani items are only average in range while compared to Meals.
I ordered Onam Sadiya by 11:30, but I didn’t received it till now at 3:07pm. They would have been tell me that it will be late…6:29 pm Unfortunately they dn’t delivered the order till this time and nobody is picking the phone….very bad attitude towards the customer…..
Onam Service was pathetic and Bad. I ordered Onasadya and didt delivered on time and didt responded to the calls. After waiting for 1 hour and 30 minutes of continuous calls I give up and ordered to another hotel and they delivered delicious Onasadya within 15 minutes
One of the popular kerala restaurants in Sharjah. Good service, affordable price and decent food.
Spacious family restaurant with free parking. Tried meals and chattichoru. Both are satisfactory. Chattichoru is overpriced(dh 25)
The service was excellent. The staff were really polite and courteous. The meals during lunch time is sumptuous each dish was close to the authentic flavour and the Kerala parotta was just wonderful. If looking for a Kerala meal and polite staff would highly recommend this place
Gave us very cold food . We told them to make it hot but they pour some hot oil and mix with it. Salt and pepper kept in a bottle were we need to use both hand together to use it.
July 2022 I visited kurkum for lunch , ordered biryani , got a piece of plastic in the raita , complained to the manger who apologized . Be careful and watch what you eat . Proper standards are not followed
I went here to eat food with my family. We ordered and it took 2 and a half hours to get our food. We made a fight and then we got one dish we ordered. The food was good but the service was pathetic.
Meals was good, but the Tawa fry Sheri fish was very bad and it was not fresh. The staff took it very lightly after we complain the same. Not recommend to order fish.
Worst food out of my entire reviews. Never even think of trying there, believe that they are just making the food hot and serving to customers, fish curry was the worst,
Doesn’t give value for money. Food taste is below average. I hosted some of my guests at this restaurant to give them nice lunch experience. Unfortunately, food taste was far below average.
All the dishes tried other than Sagarakootu was really nice and worth for money. But really disappointed with their signature dish named Sagarakootu. I would suggest everyone dont try that
Food is good as well as their service.you will find a hint of Kerala taste in everything.it is on demand particularly on weekends.Ambiance is also good.
Overpriced food with less quantity,I ordered parotta = received it without hot, beaf fry= I can feel the chilly taste fresh, its not cooked properly and no salt,Chicken curry = no taste nothing,Fried rice✌️ Noodles 👍.
I will never visit back , we trird the chutty choru and felt it as one of the worst I ever had same feed back from my wife too and on top all this, they are over priced too..
Earlier food was tasty & reasonable price. Now its worst taste & high rates.
Best restaurant for South Indian food lovers. Service is quick and quality of food is great. Ambience is ok.
The mutton KURMA is great. You can request this dish to be light spicy, according to your wish, and the porrata bread is sooo soft and tasty.
Very Bad Experience. 👎Pothichoru 👎Crab Masala 👎Not recommended....I have never had such kind of experience..
With the recent change in management, the place has transformed into a well accomodating place for indian community to grab a grub, arrange parties or indulge in comfort foods.
Foods are not tasty.. they are using cooking oil not good... Before on starting time they were good in dishes.. but now I totally disappointed and will never visit their restaurant any more.
Hey foodies, Here is one more Indian Nonveg and veg Restaurant for for everyone especially for Keralites. Menu is here huge, authentic taste and delicious. Highly recommendable to everyone. Serving is good. Restaurant hall is very big can accommodate many families. they have party hall, based on the party requirement they re-arrange the party place to dine in.Paid Parking is available. Toilets are cleanServing and staffs are good.
Not organised. Unprofessional. Confirmed over phone that meals are available and went to the restaurant with our kid. After a long wait, taken to the dining area. After another half an hour waiter came and we ordered meals. However, meals were over by that time. They could have informed us at the waiting period itself if food is not available. Aleast they could have taken the order while people were waiting to save time. Didnt give any value to our time 😕 was fed up with the first service itself. We will not visit again.
The food taste good but if you are to reach a little late than the usual time thinking of waiting till the crowd is over then its the bad time since there wont be any food left, no waiters will look at you, you wont get food even after 1hr as all they look for is for customers to come in and take the new order. Had experience and even complained but its still the same. So had the worse experience one day that too when I was too hungry
Had beef coconut fry it was just amazing Must try this dish with Kerala parotta .Thier chicken biriyani was also good, Price reasonable value for money .But need to improve on beef biriyani (not as expectedbeef dum biriyani dont try beef biriyani
Nice atmosphere, valuable pice, mouthwatering 🥰🥰
The food was utterly atrocious. Ordered biriyani that was insanely not cooked well. We ordered biriyani and kallummakkayi.. both are tooo much bad.. worst food i never experienced before like this..Go anywhere else!
Their appam and fish pollichathu was lip smacking and delicious but their kuluki sarbath was below average and overpriced.Overall a good experience and must try restaurant
Best south Indian cuisine at affordable price. Chatti chor is a must try.
Poor management.we were told to wait 10 minutes for a table and it took 30 minutes when we got a table. They took us to the party hall which was already full and the party was still going on.so we understood they were making us to wait until the schedule time for party was over.I would have been happy if they took 10 minutes to clear everyone in the hall and clean the hall ... rather than making us enter to a place full of people with no masks and safetyThe food was good ... and their service is fast ... but this kind of irresponsible & unhygenic behaviour from the management require a big thumbs down .never visibg here again
Big fan of their kerala lunch ❤️ and in photo its chilli beef
One of the tastiest biryani I ever had. Nice and clean ambience.Lil bit expensive compared to others.
Kurkum restaurant located very near to Megamall Sharjah. Location wise it’s superb easily accessible parking available and good for party also . They have a party hall also but not that much big. The main thing I’ve noticed is there service and customer support. Very good support are getting from there. Food is good , I had ordered a starter prawns dish it’s good. Main course is biriyani , it’s super and a hamoor tawa fry kariveppila fry something it’s not good appam is good and the main dish I liked is samudrakuttu a curry mix of different seafoods. It’s very tasty and very delicious. Must try
I ordered ifthar kit which contains beef curry and ghee rice , thari kanji, cut fruit, juice, pazham pori and egg bonda ..at 12dhs..snacks and others are good tastes and ghee rice also but beef curry was average not as expected(may b its their style since i am from north kerala vadakara ,so indicating not asper our style)And their beef biriyani (pothi biriyani was super that ordered another day…Totally good restaurant and good delivery
Located opposite to Sharjah megamall paid parking space is available. Top class food and hospitality. One of the best quality restaurant with Delicious food and attentive staffs. Each and every currency , side dishes and deserts were so delicious that we have not even a single negative opinion to say. Good seating arrangements and nice ambiance. Make sure you mention them how much spicy you want as certain food is extremely spicy which i had found out the other way.
One of the underrated restaurants of the region which left us satisfied witu all the items we requested. They serve mainly traditional keralite food. We had kaattupothu varattiyath and king fish chatti curry along with appam and porotta. All were exceptional though equally priced. Theres ample seating and parking available.
Nice restaurant with traditional kerala foods, strictly following the covid guidelines. The foods quality, taste and quantity are good. You can get almost all the kerala traditional foods at this restaurant. This is the third time we visited there. The staffs are very friendly and always care your queries and requests.
Best Malabari biriyani in Sharjah, one biriyani is enough for two persons 😋😋Good service😎always got better and better service from telephonic order and delivery👍Ample space for parking🤗Nice ambiance❣️
Liked the service, food and quantity. The waiters were very polite and service was quick. Its a good south Indian food rest.
This restaurant was my go go place when we lives in Sharjah! Specially for the dishes from my motherland, Kerala ! The food is really delicious and the staff are very welcoming !Try the meals , Chatti Choru, Beef & Chicken drums
Loved the food. I highly recommend this dish known as Pothichoru to all those who are looking for a perfect south Indian lunch. This is a perfect combination of rice and all the South Indian curries wrapped beautifully in banana leaf. Highly flavorful and perfect on your wallet at AED18.
My friend advises me to order the chicken Fried rice.... although it was a South Indian Restaurant. It’s a very huge place. But I really liked the Chinese chili chicken. Fried Rice they have to improve.
Food is okay for a casual eat out. But felt like if the restaurant is full they are missing out to deliver the full service quality. We didnt get the welcome drink until we asked for but it came along with the food so we denied. The chuttychor is tasty but its priced so high that other kerala restaurants offer with 1/3rd price.
One of my most favourite kerala restaurant in UAE. Thier "kattupoth verattu" is one of the must try. Also travancore chicken a better choice as starter
Kurkum restaurant near megamall sharjah, first time we visited this restaurant. It was a nice experience. Surely we can recommend to friends who looks for kerala food in sharjah. Some specialities there needs to be tried next time. Price seems to be little high.
Authentic Kerala food and a lot of specialities that you get only there. The kanthari crispy fried chicken and kanthari grilled Hamoor are amazingly tasty. The fish was really fresh, well marinated and grilled to perfection. The best thing was however the kaattu pothu varattiyathu. They import the meat from Africa and cooks it with special Kerala spices. Yummy. We also tried the special sagara koottu. It is a seafood curry made with various seafood items. Its amazing how they blend calamari, prawns, crabs, kingfish and other fishes in to the same gravy even though they have various cooking time.A must try place.
My normal reviews are considered short novels because of the number of words I use but even though no one reads through it, I still do it because the food and experience I had deserved justice by fleshing it out with my words and pictures.I work in a multi-cultural office and building rapport with my peers allowed me to execute my plan.To eat with someone from a different country on their preferred restaurant eating their traditional dish.I and my colleague Ajith Thomas went to a restaurant called Kurkum which serves traditional food from Kerala, a region from South India. Full experience after the break. The first thing we did after entering the restaurant is to wash our hands, because Indian food, I believe, is eaten most of the time with bare hands. The ambiance of the place is clean, well-lit, and looks fancy and as the standard here in the United Arab Emirates, tables are separate for bachelors and families.Once seated we were given a shot of flavored yogurt or lassi and on the side, a salted crispy chilly. Both tastes uniquely flavorful which are a good thing since I never had any of these before. As for the food, I didnt even bother to look at the menu and had Ajith order for us, all I asked is to have a traditional meal or the house specialty, and he ordered both! A traditional meal called "Oonu" and "Beef Fry or Beef Ularthiyathu" which is one of the house specialty. The meal is composed of rice (a type of rice I never had before, its fluffy and light and had a red tinge to itwhich you can ask for as much as you want, fruit and vegetable pickles, dried granulated fish, and a lot of different gravy or sauces as we call it from where Im from. Theres a vegetable gravy, two types of fish gravy, and others I cant even comprehend whats in it but everything is delicious and quite spicy (youll sweat bullets if youre not used to eating spicy food).Speaking of spicy, the viand to our rice meal is this dish called Beef Fry or Beef Ularthiyathu. Like most of the gravy made which are made of coconut juice or milk, this one has elements of the coconut tree too which is its meat and a lot of spices I cant identify, curry leaves, green chilies, and I think it was smothered in chili flakes if it wasnt spicy enough. You can still taste the juicy beef under all the spices so you get a full spectrum of flavor when eating this and if you chase it down with the rice and gravy, its just a perfect combination. A combination that hits home to my palate being a rice and viand eater. Before coming to the restaurant I was telling Ajith that I was hungry and I want to eat a lot. The food he ordered definitely delivered, not only was I full and stuffed at the end of our meal, I got to taste a wide range of new flavors and get the full experience of having a traditional south Indian dish. I used my hands during the meal (a big deal being OC about my hands cleanlinessand learned a lot while conversing during our meal.Overall, the whole experience was great, the food, the ambiance, the service, and when I saw the bill, it made me appreciate the food even more because the meal with the rice and assortments of gravy is just 12 AED (3 USDper person and the Beef Fry is just 16 AED (4 USDwhich serves 2. To top it off, Ajith paid for the whole meal (not my plan at all, he just took out his wallet faster than me *wink*and did I mention the meal comes with a dessert? So yeah its a must try if you ever pass by this restaurant in Sharjah and I myself am definitely coming back here and try their other dishes.
This is the third visit and every time it was crowded.Located nearby Mega Mall and they have good Parking space behind restaurant. We had meals this time, side dishes were lipsmacking. Moru curry & fish curry was damn good and we wanted it more..Service is good eventhough its crowded.
