Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Los Angeles

I really really liked how easy it is to try many different types of sushi. The rotating conveyor belt is really convenient once you figure out the trick to pulling the plate from the belt. Disposing of the plates is easy and requesting drinks is brought with a really cute and efficient robot. A reasonable enough price if you try multiple plates.

A Good choice for sushi and Sake, the prices are reasonable and the staff is courteous, attentive and ready to assist you. You can choose to sit at the counter or a table if youre with company.. prices went up a little on account of the inflation but the taste has remained the same....enjoy it my dear friends...

Love it, the food is super delicious the only thing is the wait time. Be prepared to wait for an hour and a half if your wanting to sit in the table.

This is one of the best food experiences you can have in Los Angeles. They have plenty of non raw options that are great also. I like this location even better than the torrance location.

The concept of sushi on a conveyor belt going past each table is amazing. I had fun grabbing sushi dishes as they passed by!

Descent quality sushi. Perfect for solo dining because you can finish what you get and have a good variety of food to choose from. Love the efficiency of ordering, delivery, and grab what you like to start eating when you get seated. App makes it more convenient for reservations/ordering. Kids will love seeing the revolving belt and seeing the special delivery right to your table on the second tier belt. Liked how there is a cover on the plates. I was so stuffed.

One of the best revolving sushi restaurants I’ve been to. Sushi is fresh and tasty. The service is good. Almost everything is automated. Keep in mind, you can’t compare to a regular sushi restaurant but for the price, you can’t beat it. Before going make sure you download their app and get on the waiting list. The wait time is typically 1.5 hours or longer.

I wish they had the ingredients labeled with each roll. I have a shrimp allergy and am cautious so I generally only eat rolls that Im familiar with. I grabbed a plate with a Philadelphia roll expecting imitation crab but was shocked to find shrimp instead. A couple benadryl pills later and my night was over. The bluefin tuna nigiri was delicious though

Great place for some good sushi and other small Japanese sides! This was my first time coming here, but my friends had been here before and on their recommendation we went onto their online wait-list, which is a must. Otherwise, you can show up in person but since it is a small and popular place, wait times can be over an hour depending on your party size and preference for a booth or counter! That would be my only real complaint, otherwise, the staff were really kind and welcoming and the food was tasty. Its fun to not know what youre in the mood for until you see something on the conveyor and you know you have to have it! But there is also a tablet device to order a la carte options of everything thats circling along with more options such as soup, ramen, and desserts! I only managed to try a fraction of their selection and will be coming back to try more!

This place is the best!!!! Such a fun experience with the robot servers! All of the staff is very welcoming and friendly! They do a great job of explaining the system if it is your first time visiting! This place is super popular so be ready for a wait they do have an app you can download and use to check in! They app also allows you to earn points that you can redeem at future visits. This place has great quality food for a good value! They always have a wonderful variety of sushi the tempts you as it passes your table!

By far my favorite sushi restaurant of all time. I legitimately come here once a week and eat until Im full. The experience is greet and the staff are very friendly. I also like that you can join the wait-list from your phone. Sometimes the wait is super long (2+ hoursbut it helps to join the wait-list remotely. I usually wait until its my turn and then show up to the restaurant.

I love the selection. Its so nice to try so many different types for what youd spend on a few rolls and a traditional sushi restaurant. Everything has been fresh each time weve gone.

Im in LA by myself for the weekend and had to try rotating sushi while in the city. Was looking at the different options and so glad I went with this one. Staff was super friendly. The fish was fresh, not the best quality Ive ever had but at 3.20 a plate I cannot complain. Will be coming back next time Im in the city!

It was my first time eating here and I LOVED IT! From the quickness in seating us (2to explaining how the unique way to View, Order and Pay for your meal. I truly enjoyed ALL of the different choices of Sushi, Sashimi and Rolls offered.

I saw this place had Taiyaki, which was the entire motive for going. My friend and I had the most wonderful experience and the sushi was amazing. The Ponzu Garlic Salmon and Crunchy Salmon rolls were the highlights.The Taiyaki is served with ice cream and tastes like funnel cake. Delicious, indeed.Im making it a point to visit here at least one a month.

Very tasty sushi and excellent service by the wait staff. The reason I rate this two stars rather than any higher is due to the fact that I called to get on the waitlist at 7pm and was given a two hour estimate, which would normally be fine, however we were seated at 9:15pm and were able to eat until 9:30pm when they stopped serving sushi on the revolving trays. We spent $40 on a mere 15 minutes worth of service. Again, this may have been fine had we been warned that they stopped serving sushi 30 minutes before they close, however we were not aware until the trays kept coming around empty. It is unfortunate that anyone who arrived at the same time as we did were served half a meal and left hungry. This was originally a special night out for our first time at the revolving sushi bar and first time on the west coast. Hopefully they will learn from this and at a minimum warn their paying customers of this issue beforehand rather than allowing us to believe we could eat for more than a 15 minute window. Once again, great sushi and service, just poor experience due to incredible lack of communication.

Aside from not having any sushito peppers and garlic edamame, top notch dining experience. Sushi was very good with a good variety to choose from. I will be back when Im in the area.

Definitely my go-to sushi place for a quick bite. This is perfect for when you are craving sushi, but dont want to do a whole sit down, dark room, experience (you know what i mean?Obviously you can still sit down, but the portions make it less daunting, you dont have to commit to a 8 piece roll for $15. Despite the price per plate increase over the years, it gets a lot of foot traffic, so definitely be sure to join the wait-list ahead of time (i think via Yelp?). I try to go at 11:30, right when they open.

Real Sushi!!! Exceptional quality seafood, revolving belt and sushi made to order every kind of fish option available.This place is really good and reasonable you are charged like $4 a plate.You pick what you like and drop the plate and it is counted towards your total. They also have ramen and other food options

Great staff who are attentive and manage the constant stream of customers with professionalism and competence. New app lets you put yourself on the waitlist remotely. Food is good, although a little pricey given the small sizes. For example the rolls are cut into 3 pieces about half an inch wide so probably about 1/3 the size of a roll from other sushi restaurants. That means each roll would be equal to about $10, so not that cheap in the end. However the place is fun and the staff are great.

When we checked in, it stated that there was a 110 minute wait with over 25 parties ahead of us. However, we were seated in about 30 minutes. Just make sure your entire party is there since they wont seat you until then!Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - cuts are really inconsistent and they are heavy handed with the sauces. One of our eel handroll looked like the eel pieces were ran over by a truck then scraped together into a roll and the other looked picture perfect. The imitation crab is very creamy with heavy mayonnaiseAmbience: 4/5 - extremely loud but intimateService: 5/5 - servers are all hardworking and quick to action. Single serve sushis and rice and ramen. The revolving bar is cool but quite fast to get the plate you want. Some coverings are not user-friendly, cant be open easily. They give out free toy for 15 plates consumed at $3+@. We paid equivalent to 15 plates by their menu, yet we didnt get a toy.

Affordable and delicious sushi.The multimedia and interactive menu really makes the overall experience a fun one.Would give it 5 stars but restaurant cleanliness could really use some improvements since we are talking about raw food being served and for a chain that comes from Japan, the sanitary conditions are just not to standard.

First time here and it was such a cool experience! Ive been to other revolving sushi places, but this one allows u to place an order on a monitor and it will deliver the food above the revolving sushi on a conveyor belt. Looks like all plates are the same price as it is calculated by you returning the plate in a slot right next to your table! Anything different can be ordered through the monitor, including drinks. We went at about 3pm for a super late lunch and good thing bc at 4, there was a line to get in.

This was my first visit to a Kura location, and it was for dinner. We first had to get in queue through the app and wait about an hour and a half to get in (Glad we live nearby). If you want to visit, please download the app first from your home and get in queue. Once youre in position 5 or so, head over to the restaurant. The app feels old and barely works but thats for another review.Hostess and servers were friendly and welcoming. They first have you sit and then explain how the system works.Plates with sushi, sashimi, rolls and desserts go around and you grab whichever you want. They are all $2.95+t so choose wisely, as you dont want to be paying $3.50 for 4 little cubes of watermelon.Food was good but a few items felt dry and old. And depending on where you sit you will be getting either a lot of options or a bunch of empty containers. We sat right before the counter area and already a lot of containers were empty time and time again. So if you like one of the dishes you pick, youre most likely going to have to wait a while before you see it again. They come in pairs only.They have plenty of drink and dessert options available through the iPad menu on each table. Also, for every 10 plates you get a little animation playing on the screen and after 15 plates you get a gift, like a keychain or something.They did not have any hand sanitizer anywhere, and I feel like a place that requires you to touch screens and plate containers that everyone gets to touch, should have hand sanitizer on each table, COVID or not. Also some of the containers had a lot of fingerprints and food sticking on the inside, which makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is.Parking is easy, since it is located in a big street mall with other retail and restaurant options.All in all it was a good experience but food is better somewhere else.

Good sushi (Kaiten sushiland experience for the family. Lunch time and had to wait around 20 min. For a booth. Not sure how often you clean the sushi containers that transport the sushi plates but everything else was fine. Fixed price for most of the plates. Can also order chicken garage, and other foods. Refill ok.

This was my first time going. I went for the hello kitty collaboration. The service was great. What I liked most was the revolving sushi bar, how you can just pick and choose what sushi you want to eat as it rotates around the tables. Also if you order other food, how once its ready it swoops and stops right at your table. Most importantly, the food is delicious. I got miso ramen for $7 and Id rate it a 4/5 which is great considering ramen isnt their specialty. The mochi ice-cream was also delicious 5/5. Id recommend tiger roll and golden crunchy roll.

First visit to this sushi restaurant, I took my wife and 3 children we ordered sushi as well as ramen.I personally enjoyed the ramen it was fine, I would order it again. The sushi itself was not so great, the chef does not prepare traditional sushi rolls. I would not order sushi from here again it is not worth it at the price. It resembles store bought sushi which is what I very much dislike.—-I will update this review as I see fit

Hiccups happen, so do bugs in your beer.... overall satisfied with the food, service was hampered by the outside orders, but thats to be expected. The team did a good job considering. Seemed to be a bit of miscommunication between staff.

Ive been to three different Kura sushi bar and this location has the worse customer service. The waitress and staff did not acknowledge me until I asked them if I could sit down. They told me that I had to sign in first and wait to be called. Two ladies came and they were immediately assisted and guided to sit outdoors. I proceeded to ask why I had to wait, then she informed that I DIDNT HAVE TO SIGN IN IF I WANTED TO EAT OUTDOORS. The sushi was great as usual but I wont be coming back to this location.

Priced just right! The portions are enough to fill my big dad bod belly. The flavor is great but I am not a fan of the Texan Roll. I will definitely come back again.

There is patio dining. & the sushi is made to order. The service is attentive, they do a great job social distancing. I felt very safe. I really enjoyed the eel & the sashimi salad.

The outdoor eating area was clean and had outdoor string lighting. The sushi is brought out at your request and I felt very safe eating there during the pandemic. Highly recommend!

Fun revolving sushi restaurant with good sushi. The conveyor belt of sushi gets kinda empty if your there late and they dont tend to refill it, so you will need to order from the touch screen. The service was decent, but could use a little work.

Food is solid considering the price and the type of restaurant. Went during slow times like I usually do, but this time the conveyor belt was nearly empty (see photowhich was a great disappointment and defeats the entire restaurant concept. Watching the sushi go by and deciding what to eat is more than half the fun!

Love the place, I will say though some of the food was pretty salty, but overall a great hangout atmosphere with friends or your significant other. The one in Cerritos is a lot more spacious.

Sushi quality wasnt bad. Great price point if you stick to nigiri. I ate mostly Uni and Toro so definitely got my moneys worth. Can get busy during peak times with extremely long wait times.

I got lucky, randomly seeing the place as I drove by. Inside was a perfectly serviceable revolving track sushi bar. The unagi was perfection. The salmon skin nigiri HUGE. The only faux pas was a handroll (special order via a touch screen), that was entirely too full of fish and rice which led to an epic explosion on my plate. Still, I left full and sated. Love this place. Get right in Monday-Thursday. The Toro nigiri is the best, the natto is tasty too. Yummy desserts. Very fun place. Earn balls with gifts inside for inserting 15 plates in the plate slot.

Fresh sushi and good service. Went here twice in one week! The hand rolls are SO GOOD. The eel is tasty as well. Honestly we enjoyed everything we had.

Good Reasonably Priced Sushi, all plates cost the same. Love the automated return of plates, after you return 50 plates you get a prize! Fun for kids.
