Kupros Craft House in Sacramento

This is a beautiful building but the menu and the very basic cocktails do not match the style of the building

Omg they have one of the best beer ever!! We went to check out the October vegan menu… no words can describe it, everything was super tasty and fresh. I really would love and appreciate if they add those plates to the everyday menu. I definitely going back

Always great fun. They used to host a weekly board game night. They have $4 Beer Roulette: just $4 and you get a random beer, usually pretty good. Food is pretty good for bar food. They have a couple nice vegan options. Overall food is a little on the pricy side. Location is great, right in the middle of Midtown. Bar servers here are some of my favorites in town. Sean is great. It is nice going back after COVID and seeing the same familiar faces. It says a lot that Kupros was able to keep a lot of their same staff.

I am no stranger to "Kupros Craft House" as I have been regularly coming here since the early-2010s. And with the name "house" in its business name, it is just that, a house that converted in a 2-story bar/restaurant complete with a sizable outdoor patio. Located directly on 21st St. and in between L St. and Capitol Ave. in the Handle District of Midtown Sacramento, this place has been one of Sacramentos most popular destinations since officially opening back in 2010.Originally built in 1910, this building was once home to a very popular costume shop, "Cheap Thrills" that many of us remember (including myselffrom the late 1960s up until the early 2000s. Much of the building itself has retained its charm complete with its trademark stained glass windows that is on the ceiling of the first floor, rich wood accents throughout, and a very classic upstairs with vintage seating and one of the coolest balconies youll find in all of Midtown.As I mentioned, I have been here several times; it was one of the stops that Sacramento Brew Bike was offering, it was part of a pub crawl Ive been on for St. Patricks Day, and it was also one of the pit stops that a large group I went out with stopped at for drinks. As far as the beer selection, prices are very reasonable and the beer itself is ice cold. During my most recent visit (on Saturday 6/11/2022), I went with a pint of the Deschutes Obsidian Stout. I find their beer selection all in itself to be eclectic, unique, and diverse. If beer is not your thing, they also offer wine by the glass as well as a very extensive of hard liquors to satisfy your taste buds.The food itself is also fairly decent as you will find some popular pub-styled favorites including chorizo mac & cheese, fried pickles (a must try), wings, salads, sandwiches, meatloaf, and Risotto. Many people have criticized the service and food to be subpar but in my dozen or so times Ive been here whether its only for drinks or food + drinks, the service has been exceptional. I also do like how its more of a "chill" bar and not over the top with loud music or people shouting on the top of their lungs. They offer a "Brunch" menu on the weekends and a "Happy Hour" menu every Monday-Friday from 5-7pm.Not to mention they offer very generous hours of operation:Monday - 4pm-12amTuesday-Thursday -12pm-12amFriday - 12pm-1:30amSaturday - 10am-1:30pmSunday - 10am-12amWith that said and done, I am giving "Kupros Craft House" a very respectable four-star rating. I thing when it comes to the uniqueness of this house to be converted into a Sacramento hotspot during the nights and weekends, it tells you something.

Great spot to go get a drink with your friends. They have great food as well!

Everything started out well on what was our second Friday night foray here. After all, they have a great happy hour, including a $3 craft can roulette. After an enjoyable round of beer and tater tots, the kitchen forgot to fire one of our entrees, which is an oversight that can happen from time to time. No big deal; I let the bartender know and before long it arrived at our table. The FOH service was great and every dish was tasty. So far, so good.Things then took a turn when the music coming from the patio speakers, already plenty loud, went up to Woodstock ‘99-level decibels to such an extent it was blowing out the speakers, releasing an aural torrent that would make the guards at Gitmo shudder. We let the bartender know, but it took a good ten minutes for the barrage of garbled Milky Chance to abate. In the meantime I struggled to enjoy a buffalo cauliflower bite as I felt my will to live leach out of my body with every thump of the ear-shattering beat.The usual self-doubt about the situation nonetheless was creeping in. Fortunately, I knew I wasn’t merely being a grumpy elder millennial when I heard the bouncer at the door tell the staff he’d go home for the night if it kept up. When you literally can’t pay someone to be there, you may have a problem.Upon starting this review, I didn’t intend to solely hold Kupros to account for the post-2000’s restaurant trend of “blaring loud music while you attempt to enjoy your blackened fish with seasonable vegetables” but good lord have they pushed the envelope to a whole new level. If I’m going to eat tater tots while listening to music at New York’s Hottest Dance Club levels, at least add some molly as a garnish. Sadly, we were far, far from any sense of ecstasy.

I visited this place for the first time yesterday for a friends birthday. We had a reserved room upstairs with room for all our friends, the bartender was great, drinks were wonderful, and the shrimp skewers were amazing!

Best chicken tenders and fries in Sacramento. Love the big tables and chill atmosphere.

Very good food. I ordered chicken with parmesan mac and cheese. The bar tender is very attentive and friendly.

Yummy food and cute staff. Open mic out front on Tuesday evenings is a nice addition to the space as well.I appreciate ordering upon entry and finding own seat on multiple levels as well as outside. Prompt service.There are gender neutral bathrooms upstairs. Staff may mistakenly assume your gender and direct you to a specific bathroom of their choosing. When feedback was provided after mistakenly sending someone directly to the wrong bathroom based on the staffs perception of the customers gender they appeared to be confused but receptive.

Good selection of brews, friendly staff, food options are unique and high quality. Chill atmosphere and clean. Not very busy on the weekends.

Had the chicken tacos and salsa and chips. Delicious. They could bottle the sauce. The drinks were also great. Will definitely go back.

Came here for a birthday part, they had a great space upstairs to host us.

The good was great and a must have is the breakfast pizza! Lagar beer was good too.

Probably one of my favorite Bloody Marys. Simple, but delicious! And the food never disappoints.Update 3/13/22: Finally got to come back, and still feeling hyped about the great food and service. The people who serve here are just so stinkin nice, and the food is perfection! I had the biscuits and gravy, boyfriend had chicken and waffles, and my parents had the breakfast pizza. We all had nothing but great things to say about each of our meals. And the bloody marys are still delish!

Sam the bartender is the best. Good food made with quality ingredients; menu had nice variety. Love the location in a beautiful vintage craftsman.

The service and food were really good. Very kick back place. Not loud and obnoxious..and the seating upstairs is great.

Broad tap list with good local selections in different styles. Good size sidewalk patio space and also upstairs balcony seating. Limited bar also available upstairs with lounge-like areas/couches.Food looks solid too but currently no table service, likely due to staffing shortages.

Love the building, but the food and service are disappointing. Beer is ok, prices are high for what you get. Much better options nearby, I only go here for the upstairs indoor tables

We had an excellent experience at Kupros Craft House. The food and drinks were well priced and extremely flavorful. I had the chicken tenders and my wife and dad had the burger. These chicken strips were absolutely out of this world. Get the chipotle aioli as your sauce. We arrived during brunch and they had a mimosa carafe for $12. I highly recommend this place.

A fun and luxurious bar setting! This used to be cheap thrills, and I greatly appreciate the glass windows and beautiful architecture as well as the excellent drinks, food, and servers. Theyre always so calm and patient despite the crushing weight of a busy Friday or Saturday night crowd. Thank you for all your hard work and high quality!!

One of the best Bloody Marys in town. Or anywhere. Beautiful balance of zest, heat, tomatoey juiciness, and the spirit you need to get on your feet for the day. Comes with a delightfully crispy house potato chip dusted in spicy seasoning. For your second course, dont miss the burger - perfectly charred and slathered in an aioli I kind of wanna take home to meet my parents (its also great for dipping fries). Add that to the wonderfully prompt and friendly staff, and its a brunch dream come true.

The bartender was AMAZING! Got all of our drinks in a matter if mins. Ordered for 9 people can be hard but she had no problem getting them all right and in great timing. Next time will try food but ambiance was decent.

This was a stop on the Sac BrewBike route, and didnt know it existed. Its located in an old home with bar and seating downstairs with additional inside seating and a balcony upstairs. Really nice atmosphere, interesting, yummy drinks and beer ontap. Quiet when we were there, but really comfortable.

a historic bldg, a patio, super good food, and a new favorite beer from Andersons Brewing...went back another time for brunch. We enjoyed mimosas on the patio...vegetarian options and the best chicken strips.

Indoor and outdoor seating, pet friendly and delicious food!! We tried the Putine, and Buffalo cauliflower appetizers. 😋 Will definitely come back!

Those were some delicious fried pickles! Staff are good looking and well kept. One handsome man behind the counter knows a lot about the building. Very friendly, decent menu for pubfair, and affordable. Beautiful building!

Well, if you’re looking for a great beer selection and intriguing food menu then you must visit this place. We tried the Blistering Shishitoes, Full Circle Blood Orange Wheat the Faction Anomaly Nitro Golden Stout and the the Ol’ Grey bourbon cocktail. Definitely check it out!

Went on Sunday for brunch. I love their brioche style French Toast, and you get a carafe of mimosa for $12! They have TVs so I caught the Giants game too. I love this place.

One of my favorite, most reliably enjoyed restaurants in Sacramento. Several times, when I was with a group of people who couldnt find a table elsewhere, Kupros came through. Its gotten to the point where theyre my first choice. I always leave satisfied and happy, already anticipating my next visit.

The food was surprisingly good, great portion sizes and fresh quality ingredients and well thought out menu not exactly what I expected from a bar. If I had to criticize something Id have to say the fries could use a touch more salt. Overall the experience makes me want to come back despite all the Covid19 restrictions.

I love this place. Nice ambiance with its Victorian decor, hardwood floors, polished wood bar, and stained glass fixtures. Plenty of outdoor seating between the large front porch and upper balcony. Great craft beer selection at reasonable prices and friendly staff. Good food as well... try the grilled chicken pesto mac n cheese.

A pleasant surprise. Decent selection of beers. Food was really good. Service was top notch. Friendly crew was happy to answer questions about grub selection and tap selections. It was my first time here. Parking was a breeze. Balcony and outdoor patio were a big plus because it gets really loud inside...like hard to hear your date...loud. But, hey, it was a Friday!

Tried Geralds Jerk Chicken sandwhich and it was off the hook! Had a perfect balance of the jerk seasoning and pineapple slaw sandwiched between a warm crusty bread on the outside and soft in the middle .We bought a package of the seasoning to take home and try on the grill.Definitely will be back for the Jerk sandwhich again soon!

Pretty good place, large upstairs is great for meetings. The fried mushrooms were quite good. I really liked the ambiance, like cheers meets an Irish pub. The bar wasnt too full, the bar denizens seemed to be professionals and white collar. The show stealer was live live flat top box and copper guitarist playing. Wonderful music, well played.

Brunch was delicious! This was the beginning of our Pub Crawl and it was an be excellent choice! Staff was welcoming, attentive and too great care of both large groups that were here as well as other patrons. Give their brunch menu a try on a Saturday or Sunday before 2pm. You wont be disappointed!

Solid go to bar, never too busy and great air conditioning on hot Sacramento days. There is outdoor and upstairs seatting as well.

A converted two-story house that functions as a casual place to enjoy craft brew and delicious food offerings, Kupros is a great place to go to unwind. You can sit outdoors on the balcony, recline in the lounge area upstairs, occasionally catch live music and if youre so inclined, theres a way cool boardgame group that meets here on Mondays every other week. They have TVs to catch the game on and super - friendly and attentive staff. This is a wonderful place, wish there were more like it.

I attended an event there which was awesome as there were a lot of small bites to try. Chef #KentSouza does a fabulous job with the food. They have a huge variety of beers on tap to select from. The atmosphere is homey and they have a large front porch and balcony you can relax on.
