Kung Fu Kitchen - Chinese restaurant in Pretoria, South Africa
Delicious food, calm atmosphere and service was great!
Good affordable Chinese food
Poor service for sit down. The food was hot and fresh, but the poor service made the experience very sour.
They food pricing is really convenient and thats their only positive quality. Their sushi is VERY stale. Had sushi from here a while back and felt really ill afterwards
Ordered on uber eats. They always forget something in our order. The quality of the food and sushi has really gone down since 2020.
Great place to get Chinese food and sushi. The staff are also very friendly.
Went there on Saturday with my niece. We ordered sushi, chicken chow menu, chicken rolls, deep fried wun-tuh rolls and two other dishes (forgot their names). The stuff was friendly and even suggested different dishes. The vibe is kinda of chilled and formal kinda setting. The food is out of this world and had large portions. I wouldn’t mind going back, and it’s also in a nice location.
Love the service, the food, the portions and the prices. Definitely recommend.
Ordered Beef chow faan from Mr D. Large portions and tastes really good as compared to the Beef chow mein. However, If you love explosion of spices this might be a little bland for you .
Inexpensive, tasty food, large portions! A must when we are in the area!!
Very clean place and really amazing food. Everything is well priced and you get a nice portion size. Good value for money. Plus everything is super delicious.
Tasteless, bland and out of all the Kung Fu Kitchens this was our worst culinary experiences. Curry qas not a curry but rather a poor, thin, bland strew. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was bland broth. The sweet and sour pork with fried noodles was ok.
Great food 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 and service.
Foods good service is reasonable waited less than 10 minutes for meals definitely going back
Great food and good service on all parts.
I always enjoy their food every time I and my Wife go there.
I have always been a regular client but when things like these happen I loose interest. Yesterday I ordered Beef Chow Faan hot look how lazy the person is☹️ I am so dissatisfied
Sushi is a 7/10. Service is a 5/10. But very reasonably priced.
Best service and quickly I like this restaurant, delicious food.
Just ordered , amongst other items, chicken tempura. Delivered by Mr D. Absolutely horrendous...just a small, dry chicken fillet, crumbed and fried, sliced. Does the chef not know what tempura is, or are clients generally happy with this ? 2nd bad experience with this restaurant.Never again, kung-fu kitchen!
Large portions of tasty food. The meals are decently priced and are cooked quite quickly considering that this resturrant offers dine-in as well as takeaway.
Amazing service and great food 🥰
Absolutely disgustingly dirty restaurant. I cant imagine that this specific branch is allowed to operate under the Kung Fu brand. The floors were dirty, the seat backs were oily and the tablecloths had very visible fatty smear marks on.This place is a disgrace to the brand
Food is great, always fresh and good portions. The last few orders have had missing items though
Fast service, they have a very ordely system and it works everytime. The food is also nice, it was my first Asian food experience, chinese to be exact and I loved it! The food portions also suit the prices, you will never regret spending any cent there!
Generous portions, good price, and wonderful food! Cant go wrong :D
The prawn chow mein was so good! The Dumpling with the ox,OH MY GOD !!! To die for!!! But the Fried rice with prawns was not great, and they didnt deshell the prawns. That didnt make me happy.
We bought 8 plates of chow faan and requested for toothpick for each plate. Your staff decided to pour out toothpick for us by hand and also used her own hands to pick them out from the box.
Im not Chinese, actually a proud Boertjie... but my parents knew a Chinese couple many moons ago and we enjoyed their food very much! Been to few of the KFKs around Pretoria. I would definatly say Hatfield is tops. The others are not bad but Hatfield ROCKS!
If you want a large amount of food for a decent price... eat here but the quality is average. I think it’s a great place for students to get food.
Loved the food. They are very neat and tidy and food is well prepared
My absolute favourite Chinese restaurant! The staff is always friendly and very quick to help. Their prices are very competitive! I love all their dishes. 10 out of 10. Would recommend.
Excellent value for money. Food is great.
I stopped by for a take away, and selected my favourite miso soup, with a vegetarian sushi platter. The portions are generous, the soup was delicious and even still warm as I reached home. The sushi items looked and tasted delicious. Really a generous portion, so recommended as good value for money.
I had been buying here for a while but I feel like the quality is deteriorating. I was charged double for something and they used the tap function without my consent. If I didnt check my slip I wouldnt have seen their negligence
I love King Fu Kitchen, but out of all of them, this one is my least favorite. I dislike the music and everything feels dirty and cheap.Service is polite and friendly, but seldom feels genuine. My friend described it best: Good for cheap food alone, but not a place to bring a date.
I was dissatisfied with their beef curry and beef and cashew nuts. It was not visually appealing and the taste was bland to say the least. Their assorted chow faan is a fan favourite for a reason though, they have mastered that particular dish.
Great food at a very affordable price! Restaurant situated centrally in Hatfield, Pretoria.
The lady who served us was really amazing. We came for a 30th and she helped us and sorted us out just before load shedding.Really good experience despite not having power.
Hidden gem! Really flavorful and tasty food Chinese food, I had the beef with fried rice (it does have egg so be sure to specify otherwise if you do not want egg it would be great if the menu was more clearand a beef spring roll( a must have! - a really cool way to eat cabbage). I had an aleo water to go with as a drink( another must have!). Friendly staff and be sure to use the parking on prospect street instead of parking in the street.
Good Chinese food. Massive portions for the price you pay (can easily feed two people for R50-R60). Very quick service. Would not recommend for sushi particularly.
Very nice and warm. The food is also very tasty. I had Rice with curry chicken. Tasty meal and the food is always ready within 5mins.
The sushi is pretty darn good, especially for its price. The Chinese food is alright, but never really been a fan. Now the service (for this branchis probably the only reason why I didnt give it 5 stars...busy or not busy, the service is pretty meh.
The place is great. I took my girlfriend there to try out Chinese food. I would give it a perfect score, but there were a few missing components. Namely, seats for wheelchair personnel and they dont cool liquor (Its heats up too quickly).
Kung Fu kitchen is the go-to place for Chinese food and sushi whether it is for take-out or sit-down. They are reasonably priced and their portions are satisfying. The service is also speedy and the menu includes favourites such as chow mein, bow ties and dumplings.
Truly great Chinese food. I am a sushi lover so I always find an excuse to have some every now.and then😎. Kung Fu kitchen is my supplier!!!Starting from the setting of the place, its very cosy and cute but small. They have a variety for foods being served there and the service is quick and the food is never disappointing.Do some Kong fu at Kung Fu
Great tasting food at a student friendly price. The portions are large, so you can be sure that you wont go hungry. The table service is quick and the staff are friendly. Its a cosy place. The area might be a bit dodgy, beggars are often present.
I still remember this restaurant from my student years. Although the decor has changed and the setting arrangement is different, they still offer the same meals that you can expect from the franchise.Friendly staff, quick service, yummy food.
Kung Fu Kitchen is a pleasant Chinese restaurant situated in Hatfield. The service is rather slow but the food makes up for that. The food is affordable considering majority of the customers are students (University of Pretoria is a stone throw away). I would recommend the restaurant for a quiet relaxed evening.
Kung Fu Kitchen is a University of Pretoria student institution. Its been around since I was an undergraduate, and still serves the same great food at very reasonable prices. Theyre also open until 10 at night. The sushi is cheap, but surprisingly good. For a main meal I recommend chicken with cashew nuts and rice. If youre after something a little hotter, try the Thai green curry.
