Perfect place for ceremony events, like weddings or confirmations, and for concerts. Has a beautifull garden outside and the acustic of the church is perfect. Tottaly recommended!

Beautiful church and park. Close to Eventyr brua. A solid rock bridge over the central river and a long road full of trees and natural resources and some fauna.

Vet ikke helt hva jeg synes. Bra konserter, men til dels ukontrollert høy lyd (Electric Wizard var brutalt), og et lokale som er litt akustisk snålt. Artig å bruke en kirke til slikt. Midt på treet pluss!?

Opplevde stedet for første gang februar 2020 på Interpuls festivalen. Uhøytidelig trivelig plass med bar og litt mat. Krypten også brukt til både kunst og musikk.

Krypten i Kulturkirken JAKOB passet Lene Teigens scenetekst TIDEN UTEN BØKER som hånd i hanske! Det lange smale scenerommet mellom tykke søyler og murvegger og enkle trebenker skapte en sterk og medrivende stemning, der vi som publikum tidvis kunne kjenne oss både som impliserte i og vitner til hendelsene stykket fortalte om. En enkel men raffinert lyssetting og et spinkelt men utrolig variert lydcontentum støttet opp om de fire skuespillernes varierte monologer og spillsituasjer, som omhandlet et utall vidt forskjellige karakterer på en vakker og suggererende måte. Aktører såvel som publikum ble kastet fram og tilbake i tid - og spørsmålet om hva vi mennesker gjør med minner fra fortiden - enten minnene er grusomme og vonde eller de er glade og livgivende - ble belyst på en gripende måte i Kryptens tidløse, men samtidig suggererende atmosfære.

Nice and central church. Went there on the ByLarm concert this March. Great venue. They really cater to peoples needs. The soundguy though didnt take into account the acoustics of the church. Way too loud. Could barely hear a word uttered by the last performers Skambankt. Top remarks to the church... which isnt really a church.

I have been at Jacobs Church for In Flames concert and it was terrible, the scenario was so low thats impossible to see anything for afar, the voice sound was off for more the half of the first song, there is no wardrobe and I could continue but in resume, Im not coming back.
