We were on a Good Times company trip. Got there late, so we were rushed. They did their best to accommodate us. But we were very rushed. Would like to go back when I have time to enjoy it all.

Not super impressed but not bad. It used to be better but the chicken was kinda greasy and the walleye was a bit soggy. The sausage and perogies were good but its kinda hot and miss.

Outstanding and quintessential Bay City restaurant. If you miss this place while you’re in down you’ve done yourself a disservice.

I had the Polish Plate (kraut&sausage,cabbage roll, latkes, perogies,and potatoesvery good. My wife had the buffet, too many items to list. Very good also.

Great out of the way local restaurant. Im quite sure I was the only non-local visitor eating that night. Had their Polish sampler and wasnt disappointed. Stuffed cabbage was terrific. Sausage was terrific. We didnt do the buffet but it looked to be a popular choice!

They have a fish and seafood buffet on Friday and Saturday night. We did not choose that because we werent hungry enough. We had a Reuben sandwich which my husband said was delicious and had plenty of meat. I had pan fried perch that was cooked perfectly. I could have as much soup, salad and dessert as I wanted with my meal. Portions are generous and the price is very reasonable. Will be back when were in the area.

Though it seemed at first that the buffet didnt offer a lot of choices it turned out that everything on the buffet bar was amazing. I even tried foods I dont normally eat and I was so impressed. Awesome food and excellent service.

Everytime Im in the area I make sure to come here because the food is so good! Its the best place to go for Polish food!

My family and I chose this restaurant because of my history with them.The dinning room was open and ready for us to find a place we chose.We sat down and a waitress came to ask if we wanted to order or choose our dinner from the lovely spread of food in the tables of delicious prepared steaming choices. We chose to go see what was served up.We found plenty of various foods.We enjoyed all the delights.After we chose our desserts. Mine was a chocolate pie with whipped cream. I love chocolate.We had a great time visiting and catching up with each other. I hadnt seen my daughter in 5 years.This is the ideal place to find good foods and visit with family and friends.Thank you for being the fine restaurant you are. We will return often.

My first time at Krzysiak - I was well pleased and will return. I generally do not like buffets, this was an exception. Many good things available on both the salad table, main course table and dessert 🍰 table. Interesting enough my two favorite items were the baked beans and sauerkaut. The others at the table raved about the desserts.The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience.

For my first visit(of many to come), I just had the buffet. Let me just say. Everything was flavorful, and delicious. Our server-Megan-was Friendly, and did an amazing job. I would most definitely recommend this place.

I was excited to come here as the reviews seemed great. I was excited to try a Polish place and the murals on the walls of familiar places I visited in Poland were giving off a friendly and authentic vibe. However, I cant stop thinking about my experience here. To paint the picture we were the only ones dining in (weekday not weekendand after being seated we were encouraged to try the buffet (because the food was already preparedwhich looked appetizing from across the restaurant. The price seemed great and there was several staff standing around it including some that just brought out additional hot food. After asking the older waitress if she happened to speak Polish (out of curiosityshe almost seemed offended and after bringing out drinks immediately went on break and did not return the entire time we were there. After fixing a plate of a variety of items things seemed "off". The cut up cucumbers from the salad bar were slimy, the lunch meat board seemed green and dried up, tomatoes super soft. I tried the hot food and immediately gagged on the frozen fish that tasted awful and mushy. The potatoes tasted like lake water after that and inedible. For crying out loud, potatoes are such a staple item in Polish food. Who would do something like that to simple mashed potatoes?? Starving at this point, I continued with other items that didnt seem as bad like the meatballs or beef and pasta. The dessert looked unsatisfying like leftover lemon pie from a party two days ago and wrapped in plastic so we paid and left. I could not recommend this place to anyone as it was so disappointing. I noticed the obituary of the owner up on the board when you walk in. Maybe things went downhill after his passing or covid because this seemed awful. I noticed other reviews around the time I went in also disappointed and even mentioned the bored looking staff.

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Then I met the owner and she acted like she was better then me because she owns the place. Will not be wasting my money here again for food that isnt even fresh. Negative 5 stars.

My two cousins and I had the buffet. Meatballs were good and not spicy, Polish sausage, mashed potatoes& gravy, spicy rice all were good. Lemon pie was delicious. The chicken is good, potato salad and coleslaw was tasty too. Lots more to choose, will try next time. Pierogis not the greatest. I will go back again.

Love this restaurant. Food is always great! Staff very friendly. Love being able to shop too and pick up bread or the chicken soup base.

Food is awful. Like, there was something wrong with it all, fish has sign that says it has bones...its a greasy mess. Honey chx so dry you cant swallow it. Imitation crab, nasty goulash tasted like its a week old. The cutting board meats look like bologna chuncks and my husband said it was "greenish"... Just everything. Im NOT a picky eater...just SOooo disappointed. This place used to be amazing. Theres a reason why its empty on a Friday night, with a surf n turf buffet. Waiters were nice...but bored. Talking about doing their circle laps to get their steps in. Empty dining rooms. Pretty bad.

Polish atmosphere, polish food and polish hospitality. The peroigu were crisp yet soft, the sausage tender and the honey fried chicken was tasty.

I love their buffet. We get it at lunch. By the time I have fresh salad and some perogies, I get too full to enjoy everything. But I manage to squeeze in a couple of meatballs, a piece of fish and a piece of pie. It’s a good value for a nice variety of food, good comfort food.

Good food, sometimes inconsistent quality, often falsely advertise that there will be items on the buffet for a given night, and then do not have those items out and available to patrons.

Decided to go for the Friday Night Buffet with a friend and was very disappointed. The Salad Bar was good but limited, probably the best part of the experience. The chicken was either tough or under cooked, fish was barely even warm the carved meat was pre-sliced and paper thin, dry and unappealing to the eye. Another guest went through the buffet licking his fingers and hand then grabbing another utensil along the way. So very thankful I had completed my Buffet experience before I witnessed that! I did however mention what I had seen and all the utensils were replaced with clean ones immediately. The staff was great but Buffet was substandard........Sadly Im Doubtful I will return as the Buffet was a bit Pricey for the Offerings.

South East Michigan local visits Bay City. Im no stranger to polish food living close to Hamtramck and Wyandotte. The exterior is very similar to other polish restaurants, comfortable and welcoming. All the staff were kind and helpful. Looking at the menu I was a bit shocked to see not a lot of polish specific fair. I went for the most polish thing, the polish platter. It was phenomenal, so much food you could feed a farmer after a hard day of working the land. The price was amazing for the amount and quality. A true gem for Bay City. Plus you get all you can eat salad and soup! This even comes with desert! Make sure to be hungry when you stop in.

On Monday of this week we stopped by for the lunchtime Buffet. This was the first time that we went to this restaurant. We were really quite impressed with what was offered. It seemed the price was reasonable as well. The service was friendly as well. I really enjoyed the fish, but I also enjoyed all the sausage and sauerkraut and the apple pie was just perfect. We drove past this place for years and finally gave it a try. My biggest regret is that we did not get here sooner.

This place is AMAZING, ALWAYS! That honey chicken just SLAPS! Awesome staff, quick, respectful, and clean environment. If you know, you know. Ten out of ten. Best buffet around.

I will start by saying it was Mothers day. We chose to make a reservation for 4:30 to avoid the after church and lunchtime rush. While being understanding of it being mothers day, several members of our party had the same observations: 1. the reservation didnt appear to have any impact on the way in which we were seated. The hostess just marked our names with a pink highlighter then proceeded to seat people when a table for a party of that size became available, and 2 the management of the situation was just not organized or effective. Ive been in restaurants during busy times and have had reservations, and we have been seated in a timely manner despite the busyness of the facility.Only two of the six at our table chose the buffet. My order arrived I correctly and was corrected, but not until the rest of my group had nearly finished eating.The food is fine, particularly the fish and meats. Well go back. We had even given my parents a gift card recently, and they plan to go. Were all planning to make sure to avoid the bustiest times and holidays though.

All the polish options and my favorite honey fried chicken ever! Eating here reminds me of my childhood, so obviously 5 stars. The salad buffet is great, the ice cream machine has never been broken when I came, and the chicken noodle soup is salty goodness.

Went in for lunch. This was our first trip back in since before covid. We were very pleased. The lunch buffet for soup, salad and desert bar was 6.99. Very reasonable price. There was chicken noodle soup, the salad bar which included 2 macaroni salads, one potato salad and another I dont remember. There was a choice of 3 breads and the dessert table was very extensive. Plus you could put ice cream on top of your pie! The regular buffet was I believe 11.99. Way to much for me for lunch. Will definitely go back.

So damn good! All this And unlimited soup and salad bar (with shrimpfor $15! Well the glass of Big Dons Polish Ale a few bucks more! Going on their Polka Cruise in July!!

Been coming here with family and friends since I was a little girl and is had never disappointed, until the last visit we had about two weeks ago. Buffet is good for price with many options and variety of food to try. Dessert is delicious as well as the salad bar that comes with buffet. Only complaint is the waitress we had was not very pleasant to us, or the other people we saw her waiting on. She did alot of eye rolling anf mumbling about large orders or people that were older getting in her way. Other than that for years on end the food and service has been amazing.

The buffet is delicious! I highly recommend this place for a date, or the whole family.

If the desserts were good...Id give them a 5 star rating. BUT....that being said...no wait, excellent service and if you want the BEST Pierogi, the ABSOLUTE BEST Frog Legs on the planet, and excellent Fried Fish and Honey Fried Chicken....then COME EAT!!! ITS GREAT!!!

We went here for the seafood buffet on Friday night. I understand that it is a busy time, but there was barely any fish available on the buffet any time that we would go up there. They would only bring out 10-15 pieces at a time, and 2-3 people would get it. The fish was delicious, just wasnt overly impressed with the availability of the fish and the speed it was brought out for a buffet. Also, kind of pricey at $25/person when the buffet is relatively limited.

I ordered the honey chicken to go family meal ($21.00and it was not even close to fully cooked and when I tried to message online it did not take my message twice. VERY DISAPPOINTED.I came in for dinner and the Buffet my server Megan was outstanding.

One of my buddies talked about coming here one day and said that this place is pretty good so I had to try it out. Walking in the atmosphere was pretty great. They also have a grocery store as soon as you walk in to have a lot of items that pick my interest on trying but I was just focus on the food at this point. When we sat down we were greeted by great service. I didnt know the place was a buffet so it did surprise me. The buffet is kind of on the smaller side but when I was told this was a mom and pop shop it kind of made sense however that didnt take away from the quality. I tried everything they had and I would say it was pretty decent. I tried authentic sauerkraut for the first time and I can say they changed my whole perspective on that for sure. Overall if youre looking for a nice hidden gem in Bay City give them a try but Im pretty sure most locals already know about it I just cant wait to the party lol.

What can be said about Krzysiaks? It is a venerable comfort food bastion that lives up to the nostalgia. Having come here since a child, back in the 80s, eating here feels like eating at grandmas house. Polish/German cuisine at its finest... sauerkraut, sausage, fried fish, mashed potatoes and a salad bar with creamed herring and a variety of cured/dried meats... My mothers family is all German but I cant tell the difference between the cuisines... Polish/German... whatever! Alles ist wunderbar. My brother was visiting and desired Krzysiaks, which is a testament to this restaurant. He had the buffet while I tried the burger (something I often order but never before here). Everything was delicious and the service was friendly. Everyone had pie included except me, but I was offered some anyways. Long live Krzysiaks!

Incredible portions!“It was delicious “- our 9 year old daughter said. Her favorites were the soup and the chicken tenders.The polish potatoes and pierogi were both my husband and my favorite, we both had the polish platter. Took a lot of food home after sampling and loving all of it. I really enjoyed the cabbage rolls. We came in with high expectations and we were not disappointed.

Service was simple and warm. She brought us extra napkins. Food was very homemade tasting. You get a buffet of various things turkey, chicken, mashed potatoes, clams, shrimp, goulash, polish sausage and kraut. You get soup and salad and dessert with the buffet all for $20. Underrated.

Not only is this place local delicious they have unique products you can buy in store. They have a delicious buffet all the time. They also catered my wedding reception with some of there great menu options. They were excellent and easy to work with. Anyone passing through should come check them out because of you live in the area you already have.

So yummy! My first visit today and could not have been any happier. Everything was so, so good! Definitely not a place to go on a diet, but fantastic as a splurge or if youre not watching your diet. The fried fish and the chicken noodle soup were my two favorites, but I didnt eat anything that disappointed!

We had our family Christmas party in their private party room. It was such a wonderful time. The service was friendly and welcoming. Excellent Staff and the atmosphere felt like we were at a relatives house for a nice family party. It was warm and welcoming. This was without a doubt some of the best food that I have ever had in my life. The fried Chicken was unbelievable and there were so many options that anyone could find something that they enjoyed to eat. The assortment of Homemade desserts was a great end to a great meal. There is also a area where you can buy different candies, Wine, beverages syrups and other specialty items. I highly recommend Kryziaks. I will be making a special trip from northern Michigan back to eat here again. Thank you once again.
