Krua Apsorn - Thai restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand
Ordered Tom Yum with Prawns 200bht and Crab Meat Omelet 120bht.Gave 4 Stars for the Tom Yum with Prawns, fast service, and cleanliness of the place.....but the Crab Omelet is just NOT recommended to order. I didnt taste any crab meats at ALL.
Been here a couple of times and never seized to amaze. Their food is constantly on point and the flavours definitely pack a punch. Tried their Stir Fried Minced Pork with Chilli, Tom Yum Goong , Seafood Salad and Singha Beer and it was amazing. The price seemed quite reasonable as well (660 Baht), but beware the food could be quite spicy for some.
Their yellow curry really really good, similar taste with kimchi chikke in korea.
Crab omelette was filled with egg and very little crab. The red curry was spicy but fresh. The pork green curry was nice and lots of veggies in it too. Liked the crab fried rice very much. Overall an ok meal. Not as wow as we were expecting.
Best thai food local restaurant. No need any comments. Must try.
The food was cheap and good. Must order the garlic prawns! Best to come with a group so that you can share and sample many dishes.
Was alright. The pad Thai was full of the flavor but the chicken quality wasn’t that great.Tom yum wasn’t that great
I ordered patthai and chicken green curry. suits my taste. a bit kick from the curry, bit spicy and bit salty if eaten without rice. would be perfect with ricepatthai only got 3 shrimps. taste goodnot too expensive. 2 dishes only 230 bhatI went there alone. the have menu for personal include rice for 99 bhat
Well, I never tried yellow curry before. Hard to judge, but it’s was very watery and had lotus shoots. Don’t get it. Sorry. Also, crab omelette was missing crab flavors. Place is very popular, staff came to us after 10 minutes for the order.
This place was a little busy, but the food was amazing!
Super yummy Thai meal. Was here 6~7yrs ago and the taste still amazing. We used tuk tuk to here. The dining experience was good, aircond is provided, so you don’t need to worry about eating with sweat 😂 price is reasonable. Tom yum goong is not super spicy too
lovely place to grab some lunch and service was excellent
Went to this place cause a friend recommended it and was pleasantly surprised that it was on the michelin guide for the last 5 or so years in a row. Naturally my food expectation went up. We ordered and got the food and there was nothing extra ordinary about it. No umami that would make you just wanna eat again again.. was disappointed about it..
Very busy restaurant with table service. our waitress forgot the appetizer and one drink, then was not to be found until half way through the meal. Food is tasty enough, prices reasonable, though a bit high considering the surroundings. AC is on and working well, which is pleasant.
Unassuming storefront serving absolutely delicious Thai food for an extremely fair price! I loved the green curry with cuttlefish balls. Well deserving of its Bib Gourmand status.
Great food. The stir fried crab meat with curry powder that I ordered was delicious. On the downside, the service left much to be desired. I felt like I was deliberately ignored for an inordinate amount of time, just short of plain denial of service. I would not consider returning.
Krua Apsorn at Dinso is one of my best favourite restaurants. Their food is consistently good. I usually ordered the signature dishes and they were served quickly. The service is also good. I dined here whenever I am in Bangkok until I developed an acquaintance with the long- serving staff members. I am sure delighted to see them and dined here after 2.5 years. It is a joy to dine here again.
Visited this place few years back, and the quality & stander of food still remains high. Definitely order their signature dishes - you won’t go wrong. The yellow curry crab is super good on white rice. The grilled prawns are 80% pre-peeled thus making it easy to consume. Super flavorful. Also don’t miss out on their tomyum soup. Huge prawns in there too. Coconut sorbet is a bliss and good way to end off the meal.
I had a very special experience here with a dish I had never seen or tasted before. See my pics.
Was recommended by a local. Food was delicious, especially the Thai basil with pork mince.
Great local restaurant. The fluffy egg omelette, stir fried crab curry and the stir fried cowslip is very nice!Extra point goes to the fluffy egg omelette of course. 🍳
Excellent Southern Thai Food served here at affordable prices. I would recommend the stir fried Cowslip and Crab Omelette. The Green Curry with Fish ball is also good
The Yellow curry is perfect. A little spicy but just right amount. Price also fair and serving very fast. Staff don’t speak English well, but the menu has pictures so you can just point what you want. The crab omelette is also very good!
This is original Thai food with an extensive menu.go and enjoy. Expect it to be busy and you will have a short wait.Another visit and the food is so good. Less busy and home delivery
It really is a wonderful place to dine. Family atmosphere, great delicious fresh food, wide selection of dishes, polite and nice service. If you are around I highly recommend to visit Krua Apsorn!
Krua Apsorn provides real authentic Thai food. From stir fried dishes to curry dishes. You named it. Signatures here green curry, crab omelette and fried chicken wings. Restaurant always get crowded easily. Staff are friendly and down to earth.
Tasty Thai food with reasonable price. The chicken green curry and deep fried mackerel fish with mango salad are awesome. It is located in the heart of bangkok.
I tried their Crab Omelette (Kai foo boo (ไข่ฟูปู)& Green Curry. The egg was fluffy and tasty, though I couldnt really taste the crab. The Green Curry may look innocent, but it delivered a kick in the taste buds with its spiciness. When the spiciness wears off, the richness of the milk took over.Pair the Green Cury with their plain rice (shaped in a heart shapedto tone down the heat from the curry! The decor looked like a throwback to Hong Kong in the 80s. It was a joy eating at Krua Apsorn.Walk to Yaowarat street after that to work off the calories and enjoy the street scene.
A "must to try" place if you ar visiting Bangkok. Green curry and yellow curry absolutely delicious. My favourite dish is the crab omelette. If you go there before they close... Ask.. And be careful because they let you in. But after they serve your food, they dropped the bill during dinner, ask to pay and let you understand you have to leave. So you might need to rush your dinner without enjoying the food. Amazing food whatsoever! Highly recommended!
Local and authentic food, various vegetarian options!Prices are good. Atmosphere is very special since this restaurant has a history in Thailand. We had the fried tofu, green curry with mushrooms and fluffy omelette. All of them were vegetarian and tasted amazing!
Too high hope on this place, ended up with a mediocre dinner. I have my fair share of thai food in my life, this is overrated. Their specialty crab omlette was over done, not much crab meat and all i tasted was the egg. Pork with garlic was the only dish which was tasty. Another big named restaurant fallen for the tourist industry.
Food is alright and sharing serving of Tom yum goong (they said its good for 4is pretty small. I guess the AC and free wifi adds to the price of the food as compared to Street vendors...
Tasty affordable Thai food in an air-conditioned shop. We took a grabcar to the shop for late lunch at 2pm and after our meal, walked to a nearby pier to take the boat to pratunam area (near platinum mall).
Found this gem through various food blogs. I must say this is the best Thai food I have ever had. I was already full but I couldnt stop eating. The yellow curry crab and the garlic prawn is to die for. Would definitely come back. A must visit whilst in bangkok.
A clean and cozy restaurant to enjoy local Thai food. The big plus is its friendly service. It is already a popular spot not only to local but also for the tourists, I am pleasantly surprised to see smiling faces all the time. A restaurant that I would recommend for everyone.
Possibly the best place we ate at while in Bangkok. Venue was clean and comfortable. Food was delicious and came out really quickly. English menu available so very easy to order. Crab meat was fresh. Highly recommended
A very clean restaurant where you can enjoy your meal in an air conditioned environment. The dishes are more refined than the general Thai street food, but without service or ambiance getting too posh.I recommend the crab with yellow curry, the crab omelette was a bit dry to my taste. The reason why I cant give this 5 stars is it can get very crowded and loud due to not ideal acoustics. Overall, a restaurant you should surely visit when youre seeking Thai food brought to the next level with fresh products in a clean environment.
One of our favorite Restaurants in Bangkok.Unbelievable quality at modest prices. Every single dish is delicious, but we particularly love the crab curry, the morning glory, the mixed mushrooms, the crispy and juicy chicken wings.
Awesome Thai Cuisine restaurant with a variety of dishes. Their dishes are extremely delicious, especially crab curry (500 Baht), fried vegetable with roasted pork and green curry. The crab omelette is a little bit overrated but it is still good. Service is good, friendly & dishes were quick to arrive. Price is reasonable too; most of the dishes are around 100 baht.
Theres good reason why this joint is popular with locals and tourists. N.B. not too popular and EVERYONE was there for one thing and one thing only - tremendous Thai food.Posssible had my top dish of the trip in the cow slip bud with minced shrimp (ample coarsley chopped plump prawns). Slightly smokey flavour from the lick of the wok dragon a wonderful rich yet light dish with a hum of garlic.A great green thai curry (ask for a lime wedge), sum tom and pork fried rice (medium between 2 was too muchfor the win.Lovely and bright with ample seating, the restaurant and facilities are cracking.A must visit.
A very home cooked taste, Tastes of dishes is very light almost natural taste no msg.The crab fried egg was juicy , eggs melt almost like cheese in your mouth. Crab meat was generous.Mieng kam was so so as it use kailan leaves.River pawns is fresh and tasty tangy. The green curry fish ball is something you have to try. Fish ball is soft in green curry.
Had their signature dish of crab meat eggs and crab meat fried onions is fresh and yummy. The garlic river prawn is fresh to last bite, Full of garlicky tastes. However the mieng kam kailam is not so. Still prefer the traditional mieng kam with the sireh leaves.Green curry fish ball taste is great, the fish ball is soft and fresh. This is first time I had the combination of fish ball, instead of chicken or pork. The green curry based is light based not so thick but the taste is full of herbs and aromatic. Cook to perfect combination. Will come back to try the other in menu.
Very good - a nice change from the usual noodle and curry dishes. But portions were smaller than expected especially for the price. Total for all of the dishes with rice, fried tofu, and one tea was 1115 baht. Would recommend.Oh and they actually made it medium medium spicy.
Its ok. Slightly overrated with all the reviews here.Fluffy egg was overrated, underseasoned and bland. No "juice" from the crab, no sweetness or savoury. Just egg with no salt.Stir fried veg and green curry is just average. You get the same standard and quality from platinum mall food mall. The only pleasant dish was the crab meat with curry powder. Same, no sweetness or freshness from the crab, but at least its seasoned. Tasted like the drier version of Maggie Curry Mee with egg.Slightly overpriced too. Overall will not recommend.
Super tasty food that the Thai royals come for along with many other important people. The walls are covered in news stories of the restaurant and the food makes me understand why. We got all of their popular dishes including the crab and crab omelet and all were great! Prices reasonable especially considering it was seafood. Obviously not the cheapest restaurant around but worth it for sure.
Great traditional food. Can get really busy at lunch. Maybe a bit confusing for tourist. Make sure to order several plates and to share them. Mushroom omelette is delicious! Good price for the quality in Bangkok
I understand why the food here is so loved, flavours were perfectly balanced and quantity of crab in the omelette and curry was very generous, fresh and juicy. The sauce on my greens was delicious, I need to return and try more dishes here their reputation is well deserved.
🍲 All dishes are superb!! The taste of all are wonderful no need to ask for more seasoning and suitable for all Thais and foreigners. 🍽💵 The price is affordable and good service.🕺🏻🚗There is no parking lot in front of restaurant but you can find nearby and walk instead. 🤸🏼♂️
An average casual restaurant with good food for lunch. The inside is pretty spacious with an A/C. A plate of rice came in a heart shape, so that was cute. The food wasnt as great as I thought. The service wasnt too memorable. Its a good place to stop by on the way to the Grand Palace, but I wouldnt really come here to this area just to eat here.
tastes neat and absolutely delicious. they cook and serve dishes in easy way to eat.But pepsi costs 15B(I think it is expensive to this small size). no credit cards.. only cash
