Amazing breakfast and huge portions! Recommended by a friend and I recommend as well!! Come hungry. Friendly staff, very quick service and again, delicious food! Go early and if there’s a wait, walk around the beach for a bit!
MoreWAITED 40 MIN from when the notification came up where they said its our turn so a total wait of an hour so totally recommend a reservation. But the portions are large and the food is good. The macadamia nut French toast was really delicious as well. The pineapple- oh my lord- the best!!!The grilled cheese was huge and very cheesy. The juice tastes very fresh.Liked the breakfast despite the long wait.
MoreHands down one of the best Breakfast places on Kauai. huge pancakes that taste great... all of it taste great been coming for years love the place. a staple of Kauai. my personal favorite is the corned beef hash.
MoreGreat food and nice menu selection . My breakfast was bigger than I could eat. Staff was friendly and helpful. Its a popular eatery so expect a little wait time to be seated, but you can watch the beach across the street or visit an Island jewelry store next door as you wait.
MoreThis place was pretty nice. Very busy! We were seated in the pineapple room which was pleasant. Like most places on the islands the food is a little on the pricey side but thats to be expected. The portions were actually quite large. The service was very fast because of their use of modern technology (tablets as opposed to paper pads). Only 4 starts because the food was just ok. The macadamia pancake was hard to cut and the loco moco burger was kind of dry. Otherwise it was a great experience!
MoreIf you come make sure to come early. There’s always a wait. We waited for over an hour but it was worth it. I got the Macadamia nut French toast with bacon and eggs. The bacon was crisp and cooked to perfection. My boyfriend got the mocos loco and he really liked it. Overall great environment with tasty food. ❤️
MoreQuick seating on a Friday at 10am. Great server and clean cute decor. Nice a cool inside but fresh air with the doors open. Had the sampler platter and it was definitely made for 1 person but we shared it. This is a solid place to eat.
MoreThis place had HUGE orders! Go with a full stomach and do yourself a favor and get the fruit side which would be a papaya. Their papayas were so freaking delicious, we asked for papayas in other places and it wasn’t as good as it was here. I loved eating the good, very good taste. It made me love eating breakfast and love exploring the Hawaiian cuisine. Be aware that this place is one of the few places with good food and good service so it gets packed as hell. Try going on yelp and joining the queue virtually before getting there or making a reservation to avoid having to wait. However while you wait you can check out the stores next to the restaurant which sell little things like shells and jewelry and magnets, there’s also a shoe store next door.
MoreAt the recommendation of an acquaintance, my wife and I ate at Kountry Kitchen for lunch on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022. We were tourists and this was our first time visiting Kapaa (and Hawaii in general). We got seated immediately which was a little surprising considering how popular the place is. Our server was helpful, kind, and effective throughout the whole meal.I was feeling rather unadventurous on this day and just ordered the cheeseburger. My wife ordered the patty melt. Prior to eating at the Kountry Kitchen we had no idea about the large portion sizes so my eyes widened when my cheeseburger was put in front of me. For all the small, gourmet burgers that are seemingly popular these days, it was refreshing to get a HUGE burger. My wife’s patty melt was similar in size. The cool thing is that my burger was only $12.99 and my wife’s sandwich was of similar price, meaning that the value at Kountry Kitchen is incredible. By far it was the most that we received for our money during our vacation. We even added a side of fried rice that I think only cost us $1 or $2.The patty melt was one of my wife’s absolute favorite things she had while in Kapaa. A week later she is still incredibly heartbroken that she accidentally left her to-go box that contained the other half of her sandwich at the restaurant. My burger was good (and really, really big if I didn’t already mention it). I happened to remember to bring back my leftovers to the condo and ate it throughout the morning the next day. My only suggestion is that they add fries to the menu. If you are looking for a good family place to dine at with a diverse menu and incredible value, give Kountry Kitchen a try.
MoreGreat food.I had the homemade Corned Beef Hash (NOT canned). I must say, this was the meatiest CBH Ive ever had. Shreds of Corn Beef Brisket with what seemed like a ratio of 2:1 over the potatoes. It was also good sized. The Denver Omelette was also large and meaty, along with the cheese and veggies.Service was good (full house with waiting list)Will go back.
MoreWhat a great find. Cute place right outside of town. The food was fresh, large servings with lots to share. We were happy to see 1/2 servings for many items. It gave us the ability to share. The service was quick. Fans cooled the restaurant on a warm day!! Nothing bad to say about this place at all.
MoreGreat breakfast at Kountry Kitchen. I really appreciated the extensive menu, which allowed everyone to have their optimal choice, even me with my medically restricted diet. The papaya that came with my Create - Your - Own omelet was perfectly ripe and delicious I really appreciated that the omelet didnt come heavily seasoned/salted. So delicious! Cant wait to come again.
MoreWe waited about an hour to get a seat at this restaurant but it’s worth the wait. The food was delicious and relatively cheap. I had the breakfast sampler and salted caramel latte.
MoreExcellent service, food. Must try the Macadamian French toast with coconut syrup. We got there at 7 am and there was no line- coz it opens at 7 :)
MoreSuper good!!!! The banana pancakes were delicious, but keep in mind, they’re all very big! Their char siu fried rice is also GREAT for a side order. The eggs benedict are all delicious, but I personally recommend the bacon avocado benedict. Great spot!
MoreWonderful, friendly service, very fair prices and large portions of delicious food! My husband and I like to share plates so we had the caramelized pineapple on french toast with a half a papaya, eggs and bacon (breakfast sampler platterand traditional loco moco. both were SO yummy! we left super full and happy! Thank you so much for the great experience! 🌴💙
MoreOrdered sampler bfast, came with half a papaya! No rice tho :( Tried macadamia pancake, huge and good, pricey tho. My friend love her French toast with coconut syrup.
MoreOutstanding breakfast. The Kalua Pork & Eggs was remarkably moist and delicious. The fresh juice (not the non-freshare very delicious (but expensive at $8.25/glass at the time of writing). My wife thought the Loco Moco was good but she remembers having better in Hawaii.I thought the Kalua Pork was really delicious. I would order it again. The half papaya is really tasty and was fresh.
MoreOMG so good! Best breakfast on the island and prices are actually reasonable. Eggs Benedict was really good and wife loved her meal. I ordered half a papaya and actually got - you guessed it - a half a papaya. Service was efficient and kind. Saw their pancakes and waffles which were huge. Coconut syrup for pancakes was incredible. Very very satisfied. No reason to get breakfast anywhere else!
MoreOur take-out breakfast was great! Ordered and paid online, and it was ready when they said it would be. Their menu has a lot of standard American bfast, with options for the Hawaiian twist. My hubs got the Kauai Benedict, he was pleased. I got the bacon avocado Benedict and couldnt finish it because it was huge! It was already very busy at 7am, but there is a wait-list option at the door. They were friendly, did forget our sides, but the over-all experience gets them five stars.
MoreWe used to come here 24 years ago with my kids and now brought my granddaughter to this place. Their food is amazing and the portions are very large! My granddaughter had the house special chocolate pancake child size and she was like WOW!
MoreA friend recommended this place and Im glad we stopped by. My kids had the ohana waffles and I had the Polynesian omelette with fried rice. The waffles were so tasty and not too crunchy on the outside. Could have eaten the waffles on its own The fried rice was soooo good! Glad I chose that option with my omelette that had Portuguese sausage and kimchee and cheddar. Food is so tasty! A must for breakfast
MoreOwner was very nice to my Daughter talking about chickens. The server was very polite. Service was very fast, and the most important, the food was AWESOME!
MoreGood breakfast. Looking at the reviews we expected something more but again it’s breakfast with Nutella and strawberries so not much different that one can expect. But all in all it was delicious and fresh
MoreAmazing brunch experience!!!. Looked really hard for a place to get brunch in Kauai, found this place on Google maps and decided to try it out. I was not disappointed, everything was amazing(so much so, I forgot to take my usual food review picture before I was almost through Definitely recommend if youre looking for a brunch place with a Hawaii twist.
MoreNOT that impressive. I would give it 3 stars just to even out some of the reviews. We ordered Loco Moco, Kauai Benedict, Macadamia Nut French Toast and Spam - and only the French Toast was delicious. The rest of our meal wasn’t impressive, badly lacked any flavor and both my Benedict and French toast came out barely warm (plus, what’s up with their hollandaise sauce??so tasteless!). Sometimes when a restaurant gains too much popularity - they stop trying because why should they - tourist come and go and they’re always be new visitors. And I feel this is true here: we came here specifically because we saw a wonderful review on YouTube of this place. Would I recommend it? No. Kauai has a lot of great local places, and I wouldn’t come here if you’re looking for a flavorful meal. Well, maybe order the Macadamia Nut French toast to go.
MoreWe decided to try this place for a traditional American breakfast. This restaurant was not on our list to try but the ratings were high. You start with putting your name and number and how many for your party on a iPad by the entrance door.We got a text message for our table and showed up, sat us and looked at the menu.We decided to try out the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and corn bread and a side of their charsui rice that had green onion and bacon pieces yum! And a sampler breakfast 2 eggs, 3 bacon, half of a papaya and 3 French toast with ube sauce. The food was good, coming from the main land nothing extraordinary to make me feel like giving a five star rating. I had to remind the waitress about my order of the sampler breakfast that was not brought to me with all of the rest of the food.
MoreKountry kitchen, you are a breakfast lover’s dream. Love that there is a sampler plate option for when you can decide between sweet and savory - I did the strawberry French toast with eggs and bacon combo. Get the fresh pineapple juice! I’m still dreaming about it. Hash browns are perfectly seasoned and crispy. Worth the wait.
MoreOne of the best breakfast spots on the island! Everything we ate was delicious. Dont forget to get on the wait-list while driving to the restaurant so you dont have to wait at all!
MoreI had the caramelized pineapple french toast, and was amazing. The portions are big and are priced fairly average. Recommend coming here with an empty stomach to fill up on this goodness.
MoreBest breakfast we had in Kauai! Huge portions so careful on how much you order. The lattes were very good also, we ordered the lavender and salt caramel lattes. Thank you for the great food and experience!
MoreIve spent 8 days in Kauai and this is by far the worst meal I have had. Super over priced mediocre food. I ordered the porky breakfast sandwich. It was dry, unsauced unseasoned pulled pork with 2 cheesy scrambled eggs between a brioche bun for $17. I took two bites and opted not to eat it. My wife had pork chops, also dry and unseasoned for $20. My daughter had some French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. She ate it but reported it unremarkable. Its very rare for me to write a bad review as I own my own restaurant and realize sometimes things just go wrong. Our server however didnt take it off the bill and that is ridiculous. My food was literally inedible. The lattes were mediocre too. Literally eat anywhere else for better cheaper food.
MoreAwesome breakfast! Before you arrive, make sure to download the Yelp app and put yourself on the waitlist.
MoreDelicious Hawaiian Waffle and Garden Omelette! They also had friendly staff and cool rooster art. However, we felt the prices were a bit steep compared to other Kauai restaurants.
MoreAMAZING!!!! Highly recommend this delicious spot. The service was wonderful and the food was out of this world.
MoreThe food and service was amazing! There was a long wait since we went around brunch, but the food was worth the wait! We would look around at other peoples tables and wish we could order everything they had.
MoreOmg. Yes! 😋Highly recommend, and you gotta go if youre anywhere near.Great staff and so friendly. Local vibe and amazing... amazing food. The Mac pancake (giant and delishwith fresh papaya and egg. It was a monster and I ate it all!Definitely on my return list for future visits to the island 🏝
MoreFantastic breakfast spot with traditional breakfast stuff, and Hawaiian style/flavor local flair items.Pancake is huge.Waffles are great.Eggs are great.French toast: amazing.
MoreWe’ve been wanting to try Kountry Kitchen and we finally made it although it was a bit of a wait but worth it. Food and service were both good! Will be back next time we’re in town again!
MoreThis IS the place i had my breakfast. A Kountry Kitchen Omelette was better than i expected. It was delicious. At about 7:30 am, i waited there for only 5 min before ordering and than for 15 min to have my food delivered to the table. The server was incredible. In less than an hour, there was already a large crowd staying in line. The place is popular; therefore, you need to come early to avoid unnecessary waiting.
MoreFantastic in every way! Great food. Worth the wait.Staff are pleasant.Currently (Fall 2021the schedule is a bit awkward, being closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Hopefully they can open more often soon.Until then it’s worth coordinating your schedule to get here for breakfast.Mediterranean omelette is superb. Mac nut French toast is great.
MoreI have one of the biggest breakfasts on my stay at this body. I got some yummy French toast eggs Benny coffee and of course I had to get some spam. By far my favorite spot for my visit to Kauai. I highly recommend going theres an especially sending outside. Get there early cuz it does get packed quickly. Well worth the wait though
MoreIt seems like 7am is the time to get there. There wasnt any wait. The service was very quick and friendly. My wife and I had the Idaho Omelet and Belgian Waffle with fresh fruit. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes. The restaurant takes COVID guidance seriously. Some tables are separated by plastic dividers. Where there arent dividers, the staff has every other table blocked off. Outdoor seating is available.Overall it was an excellent experience. Well definitely be going back there during this trip.
MoreGreat BBQ food. One plate was enough to feed me and my fiancé. Generous portions at a decent price considering we were on Kauai. Good seating and we didn’t wait long for our food. We will likely come back again. The spicy BBQ sauce was the best.
MoreWe went here and waited 30 minutes for a table (didnt know you could join the wait list with Yelp for anyone else who didnt know and doesnt want to end up waiting!), the food was good and the service was excellent, but we just felt it was WAY overpriced for what you get, it cost us $70 (with tipfor two of this exact meal in the picture-i do get that they have to import a lot of the food, but other places in Lihue had breakfast for cheaper (because its commercial). I probably would try other places before returning here, but again not because of the taste/quality of food or the service.
MoreStopped in for breakfast on our last day in Kauai and were lucky that we didnt have to wait and were seated right away. Este waited on us and was nice and polite and the food was good. There was a line to be seated right after we were seated and it seemed to move quick. Food arrived quickly and we were on our way to walk the beach across the street.
MoreFood and service was amazing! I had the Macadamia Nut French Toast and it didnt disappoint. This is some of best French toast I have had in awhile. Slices were the perfect size not too thin and not to thick. The homemade coconut syrup was the icing on the cake. Highly Recommended!
MoreAwesome food! Everything had a ton of flavor and the wait was worth it. Make sure to hop on Yelp and get on their waiting list before you arrive. We had to wait 50 min but… to say it again… it was worth it! Dang good food!
MoreWe came here based on positive reviews and we did not regret it! Pictured is the Idaho omelette and caramelized pineapple French toast. They were both amazing!Recommended to get reservations as it was very busy.
MoreFantastic breakfast! There were 5 of us and we all ordered something different. Everything was great...the food, the staff, the atmosphere. Lots of local food to try. Highly recommend to anyone visiting. Busy place but wait time went quickly. Will visit again.
