Ngah Ibrahim fort. One of the richest man in Perak in the second half of the 19th century. During the Larut War he supported the Hai San, whose leader was a close friend of his father, Long Jaafar. During the Perak War, Sultan Abdullah, Ngah Ibrahim and two others together with the family and servants were exiled to the Seychelles Island in the Indian Ocean. Ngah Ibrahims fort is his residence and a store for tin. Later the British took over the property and made it into a Malay teachers training college. The college was opened in 1913 by Sultan Idris Shah and closed 10 years later where the students moved to the Sultan Idris Training College at Tanjung Malim. The house became a primary school and now made into a museum.
