Perfect fall weather food. The seafood pancake was special, perfectly crispy and so tasty, a great item to share. I had the veggie tofu soup (spicyand it was hearty and warming. Just what I needed today. Atmosphere at lunchtime was cozy and busy but not overcrowded. Service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Really good food for takeout, especially soft tofu/sundubu and bibimbap. Will order again! They also include a drink with each meal, which is nice.Better japchae than other Korean restaurants I tried in US (although not home made). Tteokppoki is very spicy and kind of fusion (had bulgogi inside, which you wouldnt find in Koreabut its still OK.

Ordered delivery from UberEats, everything was fantastic, especially the short ribs, perfectly cooked and arrived hot. Good amount of banchan and they were so nice to throw in some cokes. Can’t wait to order again.

I looked up Korean food from Google Maps. This place was one of the places suggested. I was super excited but I ended up stressed and a little bit disappointed.First of all, the servers were not friendly and mean. They were rushing out and made me feel so uncomfortable. When I asked for a drink she took forever to bring my drink(Almost I was finishing my food). I would say they are kind of short stuff.Foods weren’t what I was expecting and poor quality. All sides were dry and seems(tasteold. We got dogbuggi but there were only a few dogbuggis mostly filled cabbage, onions and sauce. Bulgogi and Jeyugbuggim were okay. Definitely not the best.I would prefer going somewhere else. This place was crowded, uncomfortable and with mean stuff

Very tasty and flavorful food at a very reasonable price. Had the kimchi fried rice with tofu and it was great. The portion size was big and it came with 5 side dishes. I had to take home half of the entree. Would highly recommend.

All the food we ordered are very good. Dumpling tofu soup is excellent, the spicy level is just right, and the tofu is very soft not overcooked. The seafood pancake batter is one of the best I have tasted, not too soggy very crispy. Spicy Chicken With Cheese is good, but is more on the sweet side , I prefer it to be a little more spicy. The side dishes are excellent, I love their kimchi very spicy!! Bulgogi and bimbimbab are average.

Looked up korean restaurants in the area and found this well rated restaurant. It was street parking, can be tough finding a spot. Some paid lots nearby.Located downstairs, popular with students at lunchtime especially.Tables close to each other. Plastic dividers separates tables.Servers busy but fast service. Unfortunately the waiter mistook my order and brought me bibimbap not the hot stone bowl bibimbap. Also not a welcoming attitude. The food. The soondubu soft tofu soup was great! Savory spicy and flavorful. The banchan side dishes were few but good 👍 kimchi is really good here and they bring refill.Only complaint was the bibimbap. First it tastes too sweet, not savory like itssupposedto be. Also tasted sour like one of the ingredients went bad. I know bibimbap and that was not it. I brought it to the korean mans attention, he said hed check in the kitchen but didnt say anything else. I just paid for it and decided not to come back.

When I called to ask for my order, I was told that the dish did not include rice, so I ordered rice. However, when I went to pick up my food, I was given four servings of rice as well as a reduced portion of the dish (because they replaced the portion of the dish that was supposed to be given to me with riceThis restaurant not only charged me extra for the rice, but also reduced the portion of the dish by half (by replacing it with rice).

Alright food, decent portions, but service is a big hit or miss. Theres variance in everything which leads to inconsistent experiences. Its probably one of the most popular tofu houses around here in the U-District though and Im not too impressed yet most of my friends prefer it.To be fair, its consistently busy so I understand sometimes service can be off, but a majority of the time it feels like they dont care unless its empty in which case youre still going to have to flag someone down, but theyre at least reachable. When its busy, they just walk by you or ask for a second but never return.Generally at most tofu houses, a tofu soup along with rice and side dishes is a splendid meal. Here, the tofu soup is fine but Ive had quite a few visits where they wont refill my side dishes (banchan), the most recent reason given was because they "had to save them." Thing is, most of the side dishes provided are really tasty and delicious, but its standard to have unlimited refills for the banchan.Id suggest getting just the beef bulgogi that comes with rice over the hot pot bulgogi with remarks from a friend as well. The bulgogi in the hot pot isnt as flavorful and juicy as the bulgogi alone.Seafood pancake is always a great staple to order. Its pretty good here when you get the right pieces, but some pieces can be shrimpless and sometimes soggier than the other pieces, so theres some inconsistency in pieces. You can hit the jackpot and get the most delicious piece or you can be unlucky and snag an underwhelming piece.Overall, service is often extremely disappointing and Id lean towards a 1 star if it werent for some pleasurable experiences from time to time.

I’ve eaten lunch here a bunch of times and it’s always delicious. Good food, friendly staff, prompt service, generous portions, and tasty side dishes — what’s not to like?Everything I’ve tried here has been great, but if I had to recommend something it’d be the tofu soup, especially on a cold or rainy day.

I went to the restaurant with one friend around 5:30pm for dinner, and was told to sit at the back site, a 4-person table. After we ordered, they then came to us asking us to move to another 2-person table, three times by three different people. The first time we listened but we preferred to sit here, which is just the table they directed us to sit at the very beginning. The second time one guy came again to ask. I didn’t really appreciate his attitude though (I am pretty sure he rolled his eyes after we told him we preferred not to move), and we just wanted to sit here getting our dinner. The third time, another waitress came, that was just too much. I understand you preferred to have 4-person table open for a larger party, but this is not the service we expected, while we were just sitting at the table we were directed to.My friend and I decided to leave after the third time, cancelled our order so not that much feedback about the food.

We two may be "out-dated" .. didnt know that we had to scan the QR-code to get the (foodMenu 😅 We had the (1Mixed Tofu Soup & (4Beef Tofu Soup .. Swee requested for it to be "more Spicy". Both these Soup were yummy and reasonably priced. Btw, for dine-ins, the Staff v politely asked for proof of Covid vaccinations.

This place serves the best korean tofu stew in the immediate seattle area! This week I had the dumpling soondubu and deokbokki. What sets them apart are their delicious side dishes and purple rice. Their portion sizes are very filling too. If you come at prime dinner time, you’ll probably encounter a long line so I usually try to come a little earlier or later than normal. They also do takeout!

The army soup + ramen saved me from a cold night. Visiting from Southern California and not used to the cold nights here. Found this restaurant and was surprised to see quite a long line for a Monday night. 15 minutes wait for our party of 8. The appetizers was delicious and my army soup was spicy enough to get me sweating. Must try

I’ve dined in a few times and got takeout just once. Everything was just as good to go! Their banchan is outstanding. Especially the green onion pancake and the potato. Never had such delicious potato banchan anywhere else! I had the kimchi tofu stew which has such a rich and savory broth, and plenty of soft tofu chunks. I also recommend the stir fry squid, and bibimbap varieties, the latter which should definitely be eaten at the restaurant. My one complaint is the rice tends to be on the wetter side, not quite as bouncy as typical. Also the purple rice needs more black rice in it, it’s mostly white. But overall excellent restaurant!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Korean Tofu House. It was a Friday night, so quite crowded but my party of 2 was seated quickly. I ordered japchae with tofu and received it with beef. Thankfully for me that isnt a big deal, but others may want to make sure their order was taken correctly. The tteokbokki was also quite delicious. Cant wait to try everything else.

I didn’t have much expectations about this place but I’d give 5 star for their reasonable price, great food, and kind service. It is a small hole in the wall Korean restaurant in U district. We ordered about 6 different dishes, and they were all very tasty and authentic. I’m glad they survived COVID pandemic and still standing. Will come back to try other dishes!

Took my mom and wife here to get a quick lunch during a none busy afternoon. Had food poisoning the day prior so I couldn’t really eat anything so they decided that I can’t sit at the table with my family unless I order something to eat which is ridiculous. First time experiencing something like this, would be more understandable if it was busy but there was literally 3 empty table.

I have never ever eat this much bad Korean food...I dont think the rice come from rice cooker it has a different food taste not my bulgogi taste. Bulgogi size was so less than i expected! as you see. Tofu soup tastes horrible! Its like made it with some bad water. I just wasted my money for very bad food. It is my first time order and i used uber eats. The restaurant has a good stars on the uber application that is why i chose the restaurant.

“seafood” pancake with zero seafood. Wanted to support the restaurant but very disappointed. The side dishes are good. But the tofu soup is pretty watery. The seafood tofu soup only have two shrimp and maybe five six clams. Different quality than dine in 😟

The place is surprisingly small and many tables are pushed up against each other so if youre looking for privacy, this is not the place to go, especially around lunch time.Ive gone once and the menu looked like nothing out of the ordinary if youre familiar with Korean foods. Lots of kimchi-based soups with tofu and meats/fish/veggies in them.I initially thought the dishes were pricey, going from ~$8 to ~18, looking at the serving sizes. However, I then realized that any dish comes with a bunch of Korean appetizers/finger foods/antipasti (such as bean sprouts, kimchi, sweet fried tofu skins, savory pancakes, sweetened potatoes, and rice). You can get refills on your favorite ones for free. Since these were half my meal, I definitely think the food was filling, tasty, and fair on my wallet. I would maybe go again if it werent lunch time.I got a spicy fish roe soup. The fish roe was only okay, but the soup base was very spicy and delicious. Great for a winter day.Overall, there are more pros than cons for this place. I would recommend it for casual, daily eating if you like Korean food.

Ordered the BBQ short rib and short rib soup and seafood pancake. Overall vibe is a college town feel, but the food speaks for itself. short rib soup was just what I needed - something comforting and not too heavy. BBQ short rib was wonderfully flavored. Pancake was crispy but not fried too heavily. Definitely worth stopping by - portions are big but they dont sacrifice taste.

Located near University of Washington, this small restaurant is a great Korean restaurant. Small menu but great food. Prices is very reasonable as it intended for college students. The food comes with 5 sides dishes. Their soondubu is good with a few choices available. The soondubu comes bubbling hot, then the server offers to crack the egg into the soondubu for you. We ordered the short ribs, it was tasty. The pajeong was crispy. As they are trying to keep the prices of the food the same. They will assist in 1 refill of the side dishes. Owner & staff are helpful & service is good. Parking is available on the street. All in all, a great experience.

A bit tucked away on the lower level of the building. You take exterior stairs down to the entrance. Quality Korean food at a decent price. Super hot stone pots, soups and rice bowl dishes. Very tasty. Very popular spot and can be busy at times but seating wait ate not too bad. If you are looking for a good meal without breaking the bank, I recommend it.

The Prices are really good, most dishes are under 10 and only a handful are above 10. The service is fast, I sat down and ordered during the lunch hour rush and it took less then 10 minutes to be seated, order, and start eating. The side dishes are diverse. Overall taste is good for the price.
