Korean Grille - Korean restaurant in Quincy, United States
Korean Grille in Quincy
Description
Privilege
This place stinks. Overpriced, terrible service, and they will not honor their menu prices. They jack up their prices on a whim. I picked up a takeout order and the price was 20.95 for a bibimbap. Get real. Its no wonder they never have customers coming in, just some buddies of theirs that hangout all day . Dont know how theyre still around.
MoreThis place is crazy, I love it. I think the owner does everything, from cooking to waiting. She has big auntie energy and her food tastes like you went over to your friends house and their mom made you food. Words can’t describe the home cooked comfort feeling that this place has
MoreI stopped infront of the place just a few minutes ago, theres a tiny little table right outside of it. I put my backpack ontop of it to look through it to look for my credit card. My back pack is huge and has alot of stuff in it so it takes me a second to find it. Owner comes out screaming at me "what are you doing here?!?! you cant be here, the table is for customers only!" I told her that Im looking for my credit card and I asked if thats okay. She yelled no and told me to leave. I said okay, Im leaving anyway. As im saying that i found my credit card. Whole time i was thinking about going in and ordering. Glad i didnt. Lady was rude. As i was walking away they came out again and took the whole table lol. Its 9pm. There was no customers. Anytime i pass by theres never any customers, even in the day time. They just sit at the table on their phones waiting for customers that will never come. Save your money and dont come here. Id give it zero stars if i could. They most likely profiled me because im wearing a giant hoodie and im a person of color. I wasnt even rude. Her behavior was uncalled for and i know that they will respond to my review trying to justify her behavior and accuse me of something that I didnt do.
MoreNice little Korean spot in Quincy Center. I live across the street, so it’s great for takeout and has some seating for those that want to enjoy there as well.
MoreI have never seen such a rude person in my life. in such a slow working person. I waited an hour for an order. After an hour, they asked me to wait another 20 minutes. I went again 20 minutes later, the order was still not ready. I finally had to cancel the order and leave. Its a waste of time place.
MoreThis restaurant is one of my all time favorites and doesnt deserve a lot of the bad reviews. She makes some of the best Korean food, and toils away running almost all of the resurants core jobs on her own. Dont order take out, experience the food right off the grille for the best experience.
MoreFantastic little restaurant. The food comes out a little hot but the quality is worth the wait. The menus has a good mix of crowd pleasers and more interesting options. Its quickly become one of my favorite spots in Quincy
MoreI have a specific food allergy and CLEARLY STATED THAT on my delivery order instructions. but still received the food with the item I am allergic to. sad that there is no attention to the instructions.
MoreGreat food, good service. I love their banchan. The beef was soft and moist.
Sue is the most friendliest person and the food that she makes is absolutely delicious! Please come and enjoy her food and friendly service.
MoreWe ordered the bulgogi and the seafood udon. The bulgogi was heavy on the pepper flavor and the udon was not very flavorful. We were disappointed because we love Korean food and wanted to like their food but it just didn’t meet expectations. The biggest issue was that each dish was more expensive than the quality deserved. Really disappointing. We didn’t give a lower score because the proximity and wait time were good.
MoreAmazingly fresh! Friendly attentive service! Korean pancake was out of this world! Will be back for sure!!
MoreAll of the food I ordered was fantastic and the employees were very nice!
Amazing staffGreat atmosphereAuthentic Korean foodThe best me and my family have hadJust tried it for the first timePrices were rightAmazing presentationAll food made on the premise
MoreSuper authentic Korean food! The quality is superb
Very tasty food! 4 stars because TV was loud and on a very old and niche channel
Great homestyle cooking in a cozy little restaurant! Highly recommend the spicy fish soup and the jeyuk with kimchi and pork.
MoreExcellent meal!!! Our son earned earned his Eagle Scout and we choose to celebrate at Korean Grill. You won’t disappointed at all.
MoreSmall hole in the wall in ever expanded "Downtown" Quincy Center. This Quincy legend has been here for many years and I finally sat down and had the kim chi jigae and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back to try out the rest of the delicious menu!
MoreI like this little shop alot. The owner is very nice. Most of the time it is just her and shes working hard. She does it it all. Cooks, cleans and busses. The wings are the best wings I have had.
MorePlease do not come here.It smells bad in there. The food is not good at all. This is not Korean food, it’s actually disrespectful to Korean food. This place needs to be shut down . The service is bad and it’s just dirty. My food was cold , whats so fresh about this? My vegetables smelled weird too. And my lettuce was old, Look at the picture.
MoreTheir food was excellent!!!! My friends and I received a pretty good welcoming atmosphere and they even joked around with us
MoreSmall little place , dont let the place fool you. The people who work there are friendly , and will check a few times to make sure the food is okay. And see if you want or need anything else. I got the beef soup, that that had rice cake. Delicious!! Great portion and the green hot tea was good. My fiance got the basic beef soup and its different from the one I got , his soup base was redish and mine yellowish. But both were so good . And he also got the beef entrée dinner, with vegetables. Hes picky about food and he loved everything as well. The side dishes that hold the condiments could be a little more. But other than that. Well be back..thank you.
MoreThis place is a gem for anyone looking for authentic Korean food. Every dish we ordered was on point and very delicious. The service is slow because everything is made fresh and cooked by one person . The owner was amazing. I will definitely go there again and highly recommended it.
MoreFirst time here but the good is sooooo gooood! I was skeptical coming in as there are no other tables. But the chicken wings blown my mind. This is definitely a tough time for small businesses but the the owner/chef is very sweet and kind with her service
MoreThey overcharged their customers. I got a tofu soup, bibibap and korean chicken wing for 70$. Their price on the wall is not accurate. The food is not that great for this price. I will never come back
MoreWe waited about 50 minutes for our food. The "prime rib" was mostly gristle and fat. The waitstaff were arguing in front of us. It was an unpleasant evening. The food however was good. I got the bi bim bap. Go if you have lots of time and stay away from any specials.
MoreSmall cozy place with great food! Our waitress helped with recommendations when we were indecisive or the chosen dish was out for the evening.
MoreGreat food, authentic and tasty. Downside is that you cant come hungry and have to be prepared to wait. Small space but also a small kitchen and limited wait staff.
MoreI was stationed in Korea for over a year and there were two dishes that I loved to eat over there and was unable to find a Korean restaurant that made these two dishes, let alone have them taste even remotely similar but when I spoke with the owner and told her what the two dishes were, she made them exactly the way I had them while over there and it brought me right back and she always remembers who I am whenever I call and order even though sometimes it’s months since I last ate there........ great food and excellent service 😁
MoreStaff was super nice, Food was hot, took a bit but it was worth waiting every second I was delighted by the food. This may be my new go to spot.
MoreFood was just like my mom’s cooking in Korea. Absolutely delicious. And as a Korean, the restaurant felt familiar, even though it was my first time there. I’m from out of state, but I’ll be sure to come here again the next time I visit.
MoreAbsolutely incredible service, she served us, cooked for us, and make sure we were well taken care of the whole time. The food is to die for and very reasonably priced. I recommend bringing people here, we will all be back for sure! Street parking is not too bad, 2 hr limits during the day.
MoreBest Korean food around Period. The home made Dumplings and Chicken Wings are Delicious. The Bolgogi and Kalbi are as Good if not better then the street vendors in Seoul.
MorePretty amazing I do have to say. The dishes come out hot so its hard to get into them so quickly because they look amazing! Cute little place with friendly staff. If you are looking for Korean dining, totally hit this place up !
MoreAuthentic Korean food. Tastes just like my mom’s cooking! It is small and family owned, I’ve only seen two people working at a time so you know they work very hard!
MoreVery good food. I like the little side dishes, and the rice dishes. The little dumplings are great for an appetizer. Sometimes I pass by when they’re very busy, those two ladies work very hard. It’s best to go when it’s not very busy, I find it easier to communicate and understand Korean food better. If you’ve never had Korean food, don’t expect Chinese food here, they’re authentic Korean, very different flavors.
MoreBest Korean food in town, period! We came for Sunday lunch, and the food was awesome! The beef and seaweed soup is not fancy but tastes like my moms cooking. The owner and chef, who is a Korean mom told me she learnt the recipe from her mom!The octopus/squid stir fry is so spicy and tasty, if you can handle spicy, definitely order that one.The bibimbap is awesome too!Highly recommended!
MoreFirst-time visitors, we ordered chicken wings & grilled pork chops from the daily specials menu. Tasty & generous with spicy accompaniments. Well be back!
MoreFood was good. 21 dollars for wings and 17 dollars for gal bi tang with drinks total coming to 50 dollars. Bathroom and kitchen really dirty. Was so surprised at how expensive it all came out to be. I spent less in more fancier places. Felt ripped off. Will not return.
MoreThis food is so flavorful and savoury. I am Korean, and I would pick this restaurant every single time. This is quintessential korean food, and if its not what you thought, then you dont know korean food. She cooks like my mom.
MoreService was pleasant, lady was very nice but to be quite honest the food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered chicken teriyaki and it was overcooked. It didnt taste close to teriyaki and I didnt like any of the side dishes. Korean food has been great for me In the past but not here at this restaurant. I feel like I wasted my money. It was not quality food for the price I paid. Not trying to be rude Im just honestly describing my experience.
Moreif your looking for some really good authentic korean food, this is the spot. food is awesome, comes out quick and hot, and service is great. highly recommend this place!
MoreThis is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is amazing, the owner is a bit gruff but friendly enough and an amazing cook. Seconding the other review about people being princesses... Definitely a great restaurant, compared to the Korean restaurant at the Braintree mall its like night and day.
MoreGot take out which was easy. Fantastic Korean food! Hard to find a place like this around the Boston area.
MoreDon’t listen to negative reviews people are morons and princesses. Absolutely amazing staff. They are extremely friendly! So happy I can find a reliable place to get REALLY AUTHENTIC Korean cuisine! And all with soju! I lived in Korea for a while and could never find any places in the US that even resembles this place.HIGHLY RECOMMEND
MoreIf I could give them zero star then I would. Our family went there on Wed at 11:30 am for early lunch. When we walked in, it was empty. The waitress didnt greet us right away and took some time to sit us and getting our order, giving us water, etc.. each step took a while to happen. I started feeling little bit worried if I chose a wrong place.Food was absolutely horrendous, we got two lunch boxes with two different meat types, most of the pieces were fatty or gristle, they were unedible. we didnt get small variety items comes with the box only a lot of white rice and just lettuce without any other veggies.I am not exaggerating this in any shape or form. I am from South Korea and I want Korean restaurants to do well. However, this was unacceptable experience from a restaurant.
MoreTheir service is very slow because they were understaffed. The lady who took our order then had to go to the kitchen to cook. There were still couple of messy tables. My bf and I were the only ones there when we visited this place in the summer. The restaurant didnt have an air-conditioner so it was uncomfortable to sit inside to wait for 30 minutes for our food. Food came out average nothing special. Saw their very sad looking bar... Only have low quality alcohol selection.
MoreI have been to Korean Grill for lunch at least 20 times. They make amazing Dolsot Bibbimbop and several other favorites of mine. Sue is a wonderful waitress who always makes us feel welcome. Restaurant can be chilly in the winter so dress warm. I have not had a bad meal here. It is a local hole in the wall that feels like a found treasure when eating their authentic Korean fare. Friends have had the bento boxes for lunch and been happy.
MoreBad service and overly priced food that is not very good. $27 "special" that was a very bad piece of meat. Do not recommend to anyone. Ask for prices.
