Korakonissi - Tourist attraction in Pyrgos, Greece
Really interesting place to Snorkel, lots of fish and underwater arches/caves. The Cafe had some good food with an amazing view
this is if you ask me a heaven on earth. There is a big free parking but you can also park on the cliffs. There is a coffee bar and the snack bar but it was closed when we came. We came here on weekend in the end of August and it was empty. Water here is clear and perfect but also you can choose if you want to swim between cliffs and see the underwater life or if you want to swim on the open part of sea where is water a bit colder. we don’t recommend this place for people that are bad with swimming.
Very beautiful place. We drove here with Quad bike. Beautiful scenery on both sides. There is a place to jump in the water through cliff hole. And also a nice spece were to go in the water for a calm swim. Not a good place for those who cant swim.Good spot for a calm reading on a cliff with a view or just sunbathing.
Beautiful stone beach with awesome cliffs to climb and jump. Perfect spot for snorkeling. Come early, because during the day there is barely any shadow. The little food truck close by serves excellent food - payment only accepted in cash!!Parking close by available
Amazing place to stop by for a swim and snorkeling, the views before going down are just beautiful too. A must do when visiting Zakynthos.
One of the nicest places in Zakynthos! The view is amazing, the water is just good for swimming and snorkeling (dont expect to see too many fish). The cave is just awesome, and the color of the water is fabulous 😊
Very beautiful spot. Just look out when youre going down on the rocks. Its easy to hurt yourself on some sharp rock. Park the car on the road and go near nice cafe down. I added cafe on one photo. You can swim in the water. Many people are doing snorkeling here. Most people are wearing swimming shoes but you can also swim without them.
Nice view, cool excursion. Unfortunately we didnt have schwimming shoes with us, so we just climbed the rocks a little bit.
Beautiful. Maybe the best swimming spot on the island? After the small cafe most people go down to the left side of the path but this can get really busy. Much quieter if you take the right path, you just need to take care climbing down the rocks. Definitely take swim shoes if you can as the whole area is rocky. The snorkelling is amazing. Not so much for the fish but just to see the sea bottom so deep.
Nice place for sunset. Can be reached by car. Loved the place
This is my favorite "beach" in Zakynthos. The water is clear blue, its amazing for snorkeling. The rocks are easy to climb and if you like hiking, I recomand you to go see how beautiful is the view from the mini island. Wherever you look, the panorama is breathtaking. Even the small pub on the cliff is worth visiting ( it has the most beautiful way to the bathroom, trust me on this :).
Amazing place. Better to go early so the colors will be more nice in the cave. There’s only one small canteen that you can buy beverages and food. No sunbeds, no umbrella and limited place to seat. The sunset is amazing and definitely worth to go there. You may bring umbrella with you but there’s no guarantee that you can put it. If you have beach shoes you can easily climb and jump into the sea inside the arc.
Very nice, swimming, cliff jumping and snorkeling.
Definitely not worth driving all way here as its super crowded and not something very spectacular.
Great place to visit. Fun places to swim and dive/jump into water. Great pic moments. Not really umbrella friendly and shade is hard to find, so be prepared. There is a snack bar at the top. Careful and watch out for jelly fish, they tend to be more near the caves and along the way if youre adventurous enough to swim away from the main area. Totally worth the visit!! Its a little bit of a climb down and up, but nothing compared to Plakakis.
Korakonissi beach - more like a bay - access to the beach is very difficult and narrow, even by car. ATVs are more suitable. The place is wild, not at all equipped with showers, baths, sunbeds. Its more for adrenaline lovers who want to jump off the rocks. It is not for children. It is quite dangerous, the rocks are hot. Upstairs is a small bar where snacks and drinks can be served. What I didnt like was the smell of urine from the rocks.
natural creature, very nice place for snorkeling, swimming. you need to take a path to the seaside after leaving your car a bit up. there is a canteen which you can enjoy the great view. People, please keep the place clean and if you can just pick few rubbish once you see. Enjoyy 🤘🤘👌
Absolutely beautiful! We were there around 10/11am, it was not too busy and we could enjoy the view. Really recommended to visit this beautiful spot.
Its a very beautiful place, but was quite busy at 2pm. A club soda and a gyros was about 6 euros at Korakonissi Snackbar. The access with car is quite difficult because of steep road. The water is deep and not so clean, good point for snorkeling (fish). Its a good point to jump into the water, but up on the rock smells pee.People sit with towels directly on the rock.
Amazing swimming and snorkelling.Walk down on rocky steps wasnt too bad. Nice taverna as top and we found parking quite easy.
The beach is worth it but you should mind that on the way down sport shoes are highly recommended and beach shoes for swimming there. There are lots of people but the cove is picturesque on its own.
A lovely stop on our boat tour!
Very nice beach for snorkeling. Only rocks, no sand so watershoes is a must. To reach it you have to climb steepy steps. The place is not suitable for small children because of rocks.
Not a sandy beach. You will need good walking trainers. Not the largest of areas, however the views are wonderful. If you can swim or snorkel, you will be the luckiest person. If you cant swim, you can still take in the views and watch people jump off the cliff into the sea and see others snorkeling.
Impressive rocks, quite easy to climb. Nice diving around it.
Picturesque place, wild and beautiful, with crystal clear waters. Not overcrowded like similar place on the island. You have a small bar on the top of the hill.
We found this place by accident, it was our last stop during the day. You can get there by car but be careful, road there is quite steep and narrow. The place is just perfect to enjoy beautiful sunset. It is not like other tourist places and famous beaches - this spot is almost free of people, definitely not crowded. One of the best places we found on the Zakhintos island :)
Nice rocky (not a grain of sandbeach framed in a lovely bay with a spectacular backdrop of the bluest, endless, deep sea Ive ever seen on one side, and a captivating underwater outlet into the sea on the other, with in the middle a hollow rock calling for a doable climb. Id recommend at the very least flip-flops and a bottle of water. The area where one can stay is quite small, only needing some revellers to give a full house impression. Hat tip to the magnificently located bar / café overlooking the bay, with a prime view on the sunset.
Beautiful cracked rock and great views from the top. The narrow side is a bit blurry and has some plant pieces on the surface, which makes swimming a bit less comfy. The sea side and the cave inside is deep blue and cool water, very enjoyable to swim.
Its perfect. The view is magnificent. You need to be careful. Its not for little kids 6-Its kind of difficult to go down.It needs sport shoes for the trekking and then shoes suitable for swimming and walking on rocks.
No 1 of must see places on the Zakinthos island. Right side very calm and comfortable to swim and enjoy the underworld. Left side is the completely other world - massive roots of the mountains runs to the deeps - a deep blue abyss without a bottom - a beautiful sight that inspires respect and gives a feeling of nothingness in the vastness of the depths.
This is in my opinion one of the best places to see in Zakynthos. That is if you don’t like crowded beaches. The view is amazing and you can swim in three places: a mini gulf, the open sea by the rocks and a cavern that you can access by climbing a little or if you swim around it to enter it by water. On the top, where you park the car there is a small nice terrace with food and drinks and an amazin view! You can also wait for the sunset which I think would be better than what you see in the movies! :)
A place to visit in zaky.Nice view , good place to jump
beautiful view, where there are not many people in the morning. Nice swimming.
Beautiful place. Not too crowed. No beach, but a stone bay. The clearest water and a great place for snorkeling. On top there is a small cafe on top to get some drinks and snacks. One of my favourite spots on Zakynthos.
A beautiful spot for those who like to explore! The access is relatively easy: a short walk down a path with steps for about 10-15 mins. Once you are down there, you have many options to explore: for swimming there is a beautiful cove on the right with easy access or a cave and open sea on the left side but be careful with the rocks on the way down (they are sharp). There is also quite a bit of climbing that can be done if you like with a nice viewpoint on top (bring approproate shoes). And next to the parking lot, there is a cute cafe with stunning 360-degree views (beware: they only accept cash).
This is a must place to visit. One of our favourite places in Zakynthos. You wont find any beach here, it is only rocks. Water is crystal, good for swimming just be careful of slippery rocks. There is one cozy caffe/bar to have drinks or little lunch.
Lovey little find on our quad bike trip day around the island. Well worth a visit.
Very nice place. Ideal for snorkeling. Amazing landscape.
beautiful views and a small bar with delicious food
Not easy to get here but totally worth it for a short escapade. Definitely not suited for children and I would recommend watershoes for the rocks and snorkeling equipment. Dont expect Umbrellas or sunbeds 😄
Cool spot to quickly jump in the water or just climb around. Cool bar on top of hill where parking is located
Beautiful location, the trail feels a bit adventurous, but its worth it, because the views are amazing
Beautiful and very picturesque place (easy access to the beachwith crystal clear water close to a small café/bar where they make the best Aperol Spritz on the island 😍🍹🍹🍹The beach is rocky and the sea is quite deep, so it might not be everyones cup of tea, but its really nice for snorkeling and exploring. Definitely worth it. ❤
Nice beach with a small bar next to it. The view is nice, but too many people even after season.
Korakonisi is one of the most wonderful places in the isla d of Zakhytnos. From 09:00 in the morning till the late afternoon the colors of the water are so unbelievable. You must see it and should swim a little bit in here. Fantastic sightseeing, absolutely clear water.. And usually not as many people than the other beach és (probably the reason are the rocks.. You should keep your eyes on your steps!)
Few caves for snorkelling, a bar and very crowded. Nice location but too crowded. Though worth while to visit. Great formations of nature.
One of my favorite places from Zakynthos! The water is crystal clear since there are only rocks. Definitely dont forget your goggles 🥽 because its an awesome place to keep your head in the water and get a back sunburn, haha.If you also like to explore and climb up the cave, its probably best to have other shoes than slippers.
The most beautifull place in Zakynthos for eveyone who loves and adventure. Good for snorceling in the cave, because it is full with corals. Also good for climbing and juming 🧗♂️🏊♀️🤸♀️🧘♀️
Just Wow! This place is fantastic and very beautiful. We like it do much. Not many people there and the view is amazing with the blue clearly water and the harshly rocks. 5 stars for this place.
