Dog friendly!!Small menu, so the choices were limited, we chose steak, T-bone and a sirloin. The portions were nice and large and the flavour and sides were perfect. Very nice meal.

Had a lovely 4-course meal here a few months ago.The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic.The portion sizes are nice, although some things youd like more of on a plate (like the bitterballenbecause its really good!The prices are reasonable.They have specials often, so be ok the lookout online or via their whatsapp number.Will visit again without a doubt.

Excellent restaurant in an interesting old property in the heart of Swellendam. A slightly limited choice on the menu but our dishes were excellent and the portions were great. Highly recommended.

Food was good service not so good

Had gorgeous steak with perfectly cooked vegetables and a great salad. The owner are happy to make some changes to the menu to suit the customer. Very friendly and cosy with a fireplace for the colder days.

We’ve been fortunate enough to have Koornlands on our doorstep for nearly 20 years. It is a culinary institution and we were thrilled when they reopened again recently for their excellent steaks. We had the loveliest Sunday night dinner. Excellent service, delicious food, lots of laughter and great conversation. All in front of a toasty fire. Thank you Steve & Marianne for a wonderful night out. You know it’s been a good evening when the kids loved their meals too. Thank you.

We were looking for a nice relaxed dinner with fantastic food. Our tastebuds exploded with pleasure as each dish outshone the other. It was such a nice change to have something a little different from the usual. The chef came out and actually spent time with us to help make decisions and giving us an intimate experience into their world. It felt like you were dining with friends. We met a lovely couple at the adjacent table and they too had the same experience. The food was incredible, a must try.

Romantic, relaxed vibe with a sense of adventure... African inspired menu prepared by Chef Marianne, adding her own delicious twists to each dish, garnished with culinary beauty. She comes to greet each customer before they leave, adding to the personal touch of the experience. Pricey, but definitely worth the try.

Best food so far in South Afrika <3It was the best we have had within the last week. Loved the Food(Steak and pastaand the services was great. Even the chef came out to serve the dishes and asked if everything was ok. Would love to come back but we are staying only for one night!

Good service, good food

For work and leisure, I travel a lot and had the opportunity to eat in many country side places. This is one of the most amazing places. Even the vegetables are so tasty. Totally no idea how the owner can prepare such a great meal in a little town like this. If you drive pass, you just have to come in and try it.

Lovely tasting experience with joyfull owner and staff. You can make a selection of at least 3 smaller dishes and although the menu is not so big its hard to choose. Great food with great flavours and you can taste all the influences of the afrikaans kitchen. Nice wines as well.

Best meat, sauce and vegetables combination Ive ever had anywhere. Top notch, discreet and very friendly service too. Knew exactly when to offer their service without intruding.

This place is fantastic. Really nice personnel and the food is pretty nice. Everything is made with love and at the end of the night the cook came out and asked is everything was just right. They have a smaller menu but you will defenetly find something to eat. It is recommended to do a reservation because on both nights we were there it was reservation only. It wasnt a problem to reserve a table for the next day.This place is outrageous. We sat outside but the interior of the restaurant is also very nice with a look on every detail.

Amazing food and perfect t service

Delicious food and warm friendly people running everything. Perfectly attentive without interrupting at any point. The chef personally made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Reasonably priced for the high quality.

We had amazing meals ( springbok, kudu ), great wine (merlot ), and a delicious Dessert. All these things were recommandet by the very nice staff. It was a very nice experience.
