Konoba Lučac - Mediterranean restaurant in Split, Croatia
Overpriced for what is being served. Okay service and okay food. Also food served not as advertised on the menu or in the pretty photos available on Google.
An amazing place with great staff. Traditional Croatian dishes such as pasticada which are water mouthing. Highly recommend.
Awesome Restaurant and nice food. Lovely thanks to the owner’s wife
Wonderful service and delicious food.
Hit and miss, expensive, some food good, some bad, same with staff attitude. We had tuna steak, fish steak and mussels, didnt get to try the pizzas. Better call ahead for reservation if you want to sit in the "garden" (its a big balcony)
It was cosy and delicious what we ordered. However according to me it is quite expensive for the portions served - we paid 80 kunas for basically 8 slim pieces of cheese, a couple of olives and a tiny “splash” of truffle honey and blackberry marmalade…it looked funny and same for the kajmak next to the cevapi. But they were really good in taste. So if you can choose a better place.
Amazing atmosphere, nice service and tasty food 🥰 I recommend it
Pizza was fabulous 4/5. Service could have been better but no problems.
Great service, good food, good price performance ratio. The house wine was super good and the space was really pleasant.
Amazing food and super friendly staff, try the typical dishes, especially the pasticada.
Very, i mean, very good, almost excellent food. A bit noisy, tables are close to each other. Thats what we call old school Konoba.
Great restaurant to recommend. The hostess is super nice and hospitable !
Very good food. We ate for starts cold platter for 2, it was excellent 😘 and for main food was cevapcici. It was also very good. Prices are reasonable. We will come here again!
The menu on the website was quite different from the one in the restaurant. Anyway we had mussels, 1 first dish (ceased saladand 1 side dish (tuna and vegetables), white wine and water. We payed 100 euros ( way too much). The quality of the food was very good but the mussels had way too much garlic. Good salad, tuna and vegetables.3 stars for the price and garlic
very good service, offered new cutlery when it was dropped, fast, clean, nice staff and a very smart venue with air con. No calamari though.
Disguising service and failing food. The waiter acted familiar all the time. When we arrived he said “I said hello already three times”, later when we were about to order the food he said “surprise me”, and when we paid the bill he said “haha I say thank you like this money goes to me, not to my boss”, clearly alluding the tips. The food was not what was written in the menu. We ordered two meat dishes which were supposed to go with onion chutney, however we got raw onions instead.Definitely not recommended, don’t go there.
Loved the food and the nice quiet atmosphere. From all the places we ate at in Split this was the only one that I liked.
We had dinner at Lucas yesterday. Staff was super kind and the tuna steak delicious! Recommended!
A horrible way of handling the guests. They do not welcome foreigners and the staff is incompetent to speak in English. Although we had a reservation, they made us wait more than 15 minutes… and there were many free tables. We left angrily. I do not recommend this place at all. You probably get a warmer welcome if you are stopping by a street food bar..
Rating zero. The staff was incompetent. We had a reservation under an english firstname and they forgot to write it down. Eventhough there were multiple free tables, they made us wait for 15 minutes for nothing. Total chaos and a waste of time. If you are visiting split do not go here.
Expensive and ok in tasteWe decided to go here after reading all the reviews on google as it looks promising. We got grilled fish with vegetable and boneless chicken thighs. I was bit of disappointed as fish was very less and it was bit bones. Chips were soggy too. Chicken thighs were nice. Cocktails were good too.The location is pretty much in central so great spot to sit and relax. The servers were friendly and nice.
First restaurant I visited having to come to Croatia. Honestly couldnt have asked for better food, service, staff. The vibe of this restaurant is so pleasant and the food is one I have never tasted before. Excellent choice of freshly made to order food. Would 100% recommend. I could not have asked for a better end to my beautiful dayAlso - im not one to tip restaurant but this restaurant is so excellent it definitely deserved it!!
Good seafood and very friendly restaurant staff. Better to select the grilled dish as the stewed fish is a bit normal.
Update: 24.08.2021:Again absolutely amazing. Great food. Great service. We recomend the greek salad. Its a little bigger as a starter. Will shure come again. If i could, I would give 6 Stars.Great food, great service. Especially the young lady who speaks german. We will sure come back! 5 stars!
We were a group of 4 headed to Konoba Lucac for a late snack. The food was very tasty, service was precise, friendly and fast. Props to our waiter Dennis who managed to sit us outside even without a reservation.
Great service and wonderful food. Tuna steak was perfectly done, a little citron sour and veggies done beautifully. Chips also great. Special thanks to our waiter Toni for smile and professionalism.
I had one if the best dishes that Ive tried! And reasonably priced. The waiter was really nice, and the service really good. If you go to Split, try this! But reserve in advance if you want to have dinner
The Pašticada was really good! Fun atmosphere and very nice location. There’s also a really good selection of fish if that’s your thing. Would recommend.
It is amazing place, good food and service. Weve tried there fresh fish and the taste was excellent. Close to ferry, small, with specific climate I can truly recommend it.
Great restaurant with Local Foods and tasting delicious within more casual atmosphere. Try the traditional Croatian food well executed and tasty, definitely recommended and warm welcome received. Thank you !
Friendly service and fresh food. The freshly caught fish was brought directly to our table and we could choose which fish should be prepared for us. The fish was served with french fries and grilled vegetablesAs a starter, we had a very tasty squid salad (we shared one portion. I give 4 stars because of the prices. In my opinion its a bit high compared to other restaurants in the area. However, the quality convinced me and it is therefore okay to pay a little more. We paid round about 115€ for an appetizer, the fish with side dishes and one water, one cola and two beers.
Really delicious food. Not for free but good.Weve paied 100 Euros for 2 persons.Fish was on point, sides were delicious too.Staff was friendly, helpfull and recommendet the right dish for us.I can recommend it if ure not Watching the price.
Excellent place for lunch and/or dinner. Friendly and experienced staff. AMAZING menu. Couldnt quite decide what to have. Everything looks delicious. Fresh seafood daily.
Delicious sea food! You can also order pizza or any other type of food if you dont like sea food. Prices are low compared to restaurants in Split riviera. Its a small and very beautiful restaurant with nice dalmatian ambient and very kind staff. My rate is 10/10 and if I ever come back to Split I will definitely visit this restaurant again! :)Mussels alla buzara on the picture below - yummi!Dober tek! ;)
Yeah we really liked this place I can personally recommend the wild boar stew that’s in the photo below it’s slightly sweet but also the balance of acidity is perfect. If you’re in split eat here!
A great little hidden gem. Local tastes and ingredients cooked to perfection. Although it was fully busy they service was great and fast and so were all the dishes
Nice little venue, fresh food and very quick service.I had lunch here with my family and arrived a bit late because of traffic but that allowed me to try the octopus salad before ordering it myself. While my mothers was great, mine had a bit too much vinegar in it. The bruschettas however were amazing. For the main course, I had the lamb which was also a bit inconsistent. Some pieces were perfectly cooked and tender, while others were a bit dry. The mash potatoe and chips that came with were very good though. The venue has a very rustic, mediterranean decoration which is pretty cozy.
Excellent dalmatian food. My favourite was meatball with mashed potato in tomato sauce. Lime cake was also excellent. Give it a try. I recommend to book a table in advance. Service is excellent.
Nicely decorated, fast and friendly staff, really good food.I ordered boar stew with homemade gnocchi that cost me 75 kn. The stew was great but gnocchi were overcooked. Also, the prices are well above average for Croatian standards. Chevaps with fries cost 78 kn, and a small pizza capriciosa costs 48 kn.
My wife and I showed up at konoba lucac and were promptly seated on their back patio. The restaurant is in a big city so there arent rolling hills or beautiful ocean views but it was actually quite a pleasant setting. We ordered the prosciutto, olives and walnut appetizer and a medium rare ribeye. The starter was just ok. It was 8 slices of prosciutto, a tiny cup of generic black olives (which still has a decent flavora few smears of some tasteless puree and no walnuts. The steak came out cooked to medium rare perfection and was seasoned well. It also came with a cup of fries and a small cup of mustard. Both of which were delicious. We also ordered the house red which was not bad. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice and the main course was flavorful. I would definitely come back.**Unfortunately, I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of the steak.
Very good food and reasonably priced, only negative was the time it took to get my food. I ordered the BBQ chicken thighs with grilled vegetables and fries - all were delicious (108 kunas); just be prepared to wait a bit for it.
Super tasty food and very friendly and competent staff! Be sure to also try their homemade mint liqueur. Its similar to "Berliner Luft" but a lot softer! We had the wild boar stew with gnocchi and the BBQ Prawns that were both great choices.Would go there again!
So... all looked rosy reading the “most relevant” review. However, a few issues.Focaccia bread is not flat pizza style bread, as I received (pictures included). Oh dear - any google search instantly shows what it should be.While the veal was tasty the mashed potato was served cold.My veal was great but... it would have been nice for the waiter to suggest veg to go with it. Especially as the image in front of me shows roasted veg beneath it (we sat outside in front of the pics on the wall).I should say that the waiting staff, all of them, were very friendly - lovely people. And there were free sample drinks at the start at the end - which I confess were also lovely! Really it’s just the food
We had luck that this restaurant was right next to our apartment. What a find! Great choice on the menu.. Mediterranean and traditional Croatian food. Before meal they gave us a shoots of lokal "Rakija". They also have an awesome white local wine. I would recomend you to try a fish from a daily menu. I personally had: swordfish and tuna steak. Super fresh and tasty. Place is very small and cozy and prices are moderate.I can highly recommend a restaurant to all visitors in Split!
Excellent service, accommodated even though most tables were booked. I had the prawns, which were generous in size and my companion the swordfish. The terrace was cosy. Would recommend. Cash or credit accepted.
We ordered some pizza for take away and while we waited we got some welcome drink. The staff are very friendly and kind. The food was fantastic, specifically the tiramisu. The enviroment is also amazing.
I would give this restaurant a 10-star if its possible. Absolutely loved my first dinner here that I came back the next day for lunch. Food quality was good and the price was decent. The waiters entertained the guests really well. Sat at the bar and was served with rounds after rounds of drinks on the house. Had a good time chatting with all the staff. Really recommend this place!
Outstanding restaurant! Loved the mussels amd the octopus salad. They were kind to moved us outside when we saw people leaving. Definitely the best restaurant weve been in Split! would return agai .
This little place has a cozy tavern feel despite its proximity to all the touristy fanfare outside the oldtown. I was impressed by the presentation which elevated the meal above expectations. The seafood tasted fresh as well. Biggest downside is the outdoor dining on the balcony which affords views of the train station and parking area.
Très bon restaurant croate. Le choix de poissons et viandes est très diversifié. Les plats à base de poissons que nous avons reçu était absolument délicieux !! Très bon rapport Qual./Prix. Service impeccable et rapide! Dessert super bons, je recommande!Pas de problèmes de clime ;)Good restaurant for locals and tourists. The prices are very affordable and you can get seafood of a good quality. We had praws and swordfish, it was absolutely delicious. You have to order side dishes on the side, but with some bread we were already full, so no need for that !Deserts had just the perfect quantity. Portions arent enormous, but its just what you need.Service was very nice and quick. Ambiance is comfortable too.I can only advice it!
