Koka Beach in Ende

Everybody wants their share of money from you to get there, but the beach is very beautiful!

Beautiful beach. The Warung nearby has the best tuna fish Ive ever eaten.

Beautiful place and definitely worth to visit. They just charged us twice 10k IDR per persone which is not okay because after paying on the top, you have to pay again at the beach, thats actually illegal! Loved it here. Not a soul on the beach, we had the place to ourselves. This is a "must do" place. We had to rush, however, please allow a couple of hours to explore. I feel like I need to go back here because we rushed it. As you can see light was fading and we had to get back to get into Maumere. (Pronounced Mal-Mary)

Beautiful beanch in the south of Ende close to the border of Ende and Sikka. It is famous but not all of them know the beach since at them is still lack of sign from the main road to the beach. Hope they already manage it professionally cause if not Koka will become a legend in our story.

Some day this Will be a beautifull tourist destination. For now its a heavenly remote place.

Visited the bay in mid-June 2022. The unreasonable and exorbitant "entrance fee" somewhat ruined the experience of visiting the stunning bay.First of all, it is a public place and the local authorities do not charge people (local and abroadfor visiting the place (already done fact-check with the local tour guide).There are 2 "entrances" before reaching the bay area. The local folks living in that area guard that 2 entrances. They charge people for a total of IDR40,000 (at time of writingi.e. IDR20,000 for passing each post. For my case, they charged IDR20,000 per vehicle for passing each post.DO NOT even think of eating at the restaurant in the bay area. God knows how would they charge for the meal.

This beach is perfect! Great for playing in waves.

Very beautiful! Its worth the long drive from Ende. We could spend a whole day here, quiet, and the waves just right to have fun.

The view is great, the beach is special very natural . Be carefull with the road from Maumere to Koka Beach, a bit challenging for city car, motorcycle better but its okay if you using a car, me too.Minus the toilet is not available, there is a toilet but its really bad :( sorrry

A lot of plastic garbage. I dont recommend. Not sure why must pay entrance and nobody cares about the trash. Sad!

Wonderful beach, but little bit big waves for swimming.

When staying in Maumere, or just passing by, better not to miss this beautiful beach, koka beach.The water is clean and i still considered that the beach is clean, despite the fact that there is still rubbish here and there but it still clean.You can just jump into the water and swim. It is a nice experience to just stay in the beach while waiting the sun to set.Will definitely come back to Koka Beach ❤️

A great place to spend some time. You can go for a swim on the left or right side. Sometimes the waves are pretty big. But the size changes fast from big to small. You have a few restaurants with basic food.The people there try to keep the beach clean. But of course there is still to much trash. Mostly from the tourists. So try to prevent to produce more.There is also a viewing point. Price is 5000. Its nice to walk up there. But nothing extraordinary.We spend 4 nights at koka beach and really enjoyed it. Very quiet place. And the sound of the ocean 24/7. Just amazing :).Can highly recommend the place before there are resorts or something else.

Very quite beautiful beach, friendly people and amazing coconut to enjoy! There are some small places to eat & drink.

Amazing secluded beach far away from the touristic spots of Indonesia. Bring your snorkeling equipment or relax in the sand.There are also many bars and warungs with good local prices (e.g. 10k for a coconut).

This the best beach in maumere, sikka regency... and you can see the view of the amazing panorama in here is briliant, maybe the best time to get here is in the early morning, when the sun comes up

Fantastic place. Ideal for camping on the beach. Great grilled fish in Vanta cafe and cold beer. Also bungalows available.

Simply stunning. Facilities are basic but that fits its natural beauty.

the trip from downtown to the beach it takes about 1/1.5 hours. hidden paradise for the lovers of the beach, the white sand and blue sea is great fun. If you dont want the crowds then we recommend coming on a weekday because the weekend very crowded. Many sellers of food and drinks at the edge of the beach. the price of admission weekend Rp. 5.000,-per person and do not include vehicles used. If you want to head into Lake kelimutu we suggest visiting this beach used to be in.

Its like a hidden paradise. Just a few tourist come here, mostly are locals. Well, this beach reminds me to the Beach movie

A very clear blue sea in Maumere. The most beautiful scenery Ive seen so far. It wasnt crowded so it was a really good spot to relax. However, I suggest not to go there when it isntt sunny, especially when its about to rain, as it will make it a lot longer to get there since the soil may get too slippery for any cars/motorcycles to get through. Going there with motorcycle is a lot better tho.

Best time to go here at morning and afternoon... Its private beach with white sand. Good for sun bathing or snorkeling. U can drink coconut water and enjoy the sounds of wind and reef. No hotels or restaurant near here. Just lokals citizen sells soft drinks and young coconut. Dont forget to bring ur sunscreen lotion and ready to dance!

Koka beach has requirement to be called as good beach destination, in my opinion at least. It has white sand, clear water, warm enough sunlight for sun bathing and some shady trees .However it seem not fomous enough so there were few people when i visited it. There were more foreigner than local tourist that somehow i wonder whether i was still in flores.It may also has rock/coral along the beach, so becarefull when u want tu swim.Its distance about 2 hour driving from maumere or ende.Honestly i just 20 minutes there, so i cant really give a detailed review. But i think it worth to add koka beach to your destination list if you visit kelimutu as well.

Lush beach. The property is private so you have to pay small entrances fees to get here, but we thought it was worth it. The white sanded beach is quiet, and the scene if beautiful. You can buy fresh fish at the local restaurant, which they will prepare for you on the bbq. Recommended stop on your way to/from Maumere!

Nice beach. From main road to beach Is totaly destructed road-be carefull there-not good for cars. You can see cacao trees. Entrance Is 10 000 IDR. Parking 5000. You can buy drink And food there. For 5000 IDR, you can climb on rock and see the beach-nice view, good for photo. Be carefull on waves-sometimes are strong and big.

Very beautiful place to visit! Delicious fish cooked on charcoal in a local cafe! There are places for swimming even in the tide. A beautiful viewing platform on the hill between the magnificent beaches! If you want, you can find a place for spending the night, the conditions are not very, but the views of this place are worth it!

Really beautiful beach, nice spot for a swim in small gentle waves. Worth the entry fee which is now 30000 per car, 10 at first gate, 20 at second. Only 10 minutes off the highway so youd be mad not to take a look.

Best beach in Flores! White sand beach and nice bar in the back with basic drinks and food provided. Also a few sun beds are provided for free. Quite a bumpy road to get there though and a small “donation” to the gate keepers is required.

Amazing pristine beach with few to none tourist. Koka 99 is an amazing place for food as the family is so nice, down to earth genuine human beings

Very nice place... but poor road access. I suggest to park your vehicle right after the 1st ticket post, becuse after that the path will be very very bad for your vehicle tire. So better you take a walk like around 500metres..

Beautiful. Superb! One of the most beautiful beach Ive ever visited. Well, its off the beaten track but its worth! Go climb to the hills to see beautiful landscape of the beaches. But one thing Im so disappointed is... you have to pay twice for so-called retribution and park fee. Three times if you want to climb the hills.

Virgin beach. For me its better than kuta: white-clean sands, crystal-blue water. So private, One day I went there at 5pm and this beach like my own, I swam alone. But the goverment have to set the entry tariff. MAny locals take a fee if we pass their own land. So we have to pay a lot of fees. Dont sit at gazebo under the tree if you dont want to pay. and be carefull with the waves and coral reefs

what a hidden gem in Paga, Maumere. its waaaay moooore beautiful than Kuta beach in Bali I think. the sea is soo blue and sandy windy salty water soooooo georgeous!

Fairly quiet beach. Stopped here for lunch break en route to Maumere from Kelimutu. Wished I could spend more time her as I wanted to hike up that small hill to get that scenic view of two beaches side by side.

A must visit if you are between Sikka-Maumere. Koka Beach has a two beachline with white sand and cristal clear water and divided by a huge mountain of rock that you can climb on.Right now that place is only crowded by tourist from neighbouring city with a number of stall that offers delicacies like fried banana, cocoa drink, or sea food.Sadly you will not find sunsets/sunrise here since it face the other way.From the main road, it only takes less than 1 kilometre to reach this beach, unfortunately the road there isnt in good condition with a lot of gravel and small rocks. but your car or motorcycle should be able to pass if youre careful.With only 5.000 IDR you can pass the road that leads to the top of the stone mountain that divide the beaches. BUT EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION since we climb with less than adequate safety measures (the steps are made from bamboo).And when you reach the top theres no fence or rail to prevent tourist from slipping and fall from height. You really need to be careful of where you stand when taking pictures or selfies.But all risks aside, the view from the top is simply MAGICAL.Definitely dont miss this place if youre in Maumere.
