Cool industrial-style restaurant in the former meat market serving simple, fresh seafood dishes.
A very lively place. With a great selection of food of very high quality. Their wine many is of high quality and so is the service from the Sommelier. They also shake some great after dinner cocktails.
Great location and fantastic and friendly staff. Food not convincing nor at the edge of how you can prepare it - for those who are travelled to Scotland, Ireland or many other places.Fish&Chips far too dry, muscles okay....but sauce was delicious.Go there for a good atmosphere...
Well, well, Well ;Phil Rosenthal brought me here. And I must say: Im probably not as fancy as I thought I was :if youre used to some real fatty, greasy and oily Backfisch from the Netherlands and Germany, its not what youll find here :)You will get a really sophisticated smoked fish, fried perfectly and served with a well balanced raw remoulade and great fries.I had a great time, with cool people serving and having fun while doing a great job.Try the french beer if youre up for a nice pairing with the fish.Enjoy and Ahoi
Amazing fresh seafood. Great drinks and service. I dont recommend the rib eye, very tough. Stay with seafood.
It won’t be fast, it’s a busy place, but it’s absolutely worth it. Dipping their incredible bread in the cream sauce provided with the mussels was as close to a religious experience as I have ever had. I would fly to Copenhagen just to have that alone.
Our first Michelin guide recommended restaurant and we could see why. The staff was super attentive and explained every dish to us well. The ambience was very hip and industrial with a meat market converted vibe to it. The mussels in cream sauce are highly recommended. Their fresh sea food platter was heavenly with some of the best fish I have ever come across.
Really great place, with very tasty food. I tried the catch of the day, my only complain was that it was cooked in too much butter, and it had a bit more salt than I usually like.
We had dinner as family, the prices are high end but service, quality and location is average. The fish was good but served casually with side for 2 in a plate. No kids menu offered. There is little effort, the place relies on its hipness to attract customers.
Delightful experience! We had to make bookings a few weeks in advance as we were traveling from abroad. The food was excellent. We had the oyster tasting , blue mussels and scallops. The staff was very attentive and service was quite fast. The complementary potato bread was great too. Everything was fresh and the price seemed worth it.Were definitely going to visit when were in copenhagen again! We cant wait to try out the rest of the menu!
We had an amazing dinner. Dishes were well presented and tasty. The atmosphere is good and the service is excellent.I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Copenhagen.
It was so good we ate here twice the same day! The mackerel appetizer was definitely the best! Turbot was also nicely done. Best complimentary bread too, with seaweed butter! Service is very efficient and staff are really nice.
Wow… Amazing and fresh seafoods ever, especially Oysters tasting🦪… different taste of oysters from different regions… and the monk fish 🐟
Quite let down. Food quality was good but prices extortionate, and reality is it is a tourist trap.€7 for some room temperature tap water, no bread or anything given…. And not flagged this will be a cost. Atrocious. All up, let’s be honest. > €100 for 2 starters and 2 of their cheapest glasses of sparkling. You be the judge if it is worth it….
Oysters were definitely fresh and tasty but in terms of main dishes, it was so so. We heard this place from many people so maybe we expected more. Maybe they want to serve their fish as simple as that, maybe I am not used to that simple plate look. Idk, check my pics and u decide. Service was great, also the bread they served was amazing. A note for people wondering about the prices; We paid over 200€ but also ordered starter, main dishes and wine and overall Kopenhagen is expensive.
It is overrated and over priced for very small portion of food. The sashimi of two pieces of trout is very small and a weird cut. Oysters are also too small for the price they charged. The only thing that is above average is the scallop. Fish and chips hmmm…not really outstanding and tiny piece of fish (smaller than 1/2 size of a hand).
Booked a table for 2pm. Was told the kitchen closes at 230, and opens again at 530. Since we were seated before 230, was able to order and eat comfortably but noticed that the 230 cut off was quite serious. So book and come on time.As for food, ordered the oyster sampler (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️), the raw fish sampler (was excellent- just think soy sauce would have been the ideal accompaniment), and the blue mussels (pro tip, the pic is the “starter” size and it was huge). Also had a Carlsberg on tap (nice). OH! And the sourdough is bomb. We sat outside under space heaters. Cozy. It was overall very nice.
Yummy yummy yummy seafood! Everything served fresh and delicious. Great quality overall for a non- fine dining establishment. Solid upscale presentation for some of the dishes. Great flavours, a little on the gentle side (read: blandbut because its so fresh you end up appreciating the natural flavours more. The lobster was slightly overcooked, scallops needed a little more dimension and depth to the flavour profile, the mussel dish flavours needed a bit more steeping time to develop due to the heavy cream, and the garlic caramel sauce in the dessert was a lie (it tasted like store bought Chinese light soy mixed oyster sauce lol). But honestly, these nitpicks are arguably very minor. The general flavours are still absolutely worthy of a 5 star.Sourdough bread was probably among the best Ive had; fluffy but still somehow dense and moist in the way sourdough should be- godlike crisp that is absolutely beautiful to hear when breaking.
Just an explosion of taste in the middle of the old meat packing district in Copenhagen...Good atmosphere and best service from Josef tonight...Tack så mycket...
Yummy fish dishes to share. Staff was very friendly to our one year old daughter. There’s no high chair, so bring your own child seat if you need one.
I found it over expensive and not all that special. Yes quality was good, but 295 DKK (40 eurofor 6 pieces small pieces of sashimi is not worth it. At a minimum give some bread with the dishes. Service was correct but unfriendly.
The only really good meal that I had in Copenhagen, sadly. The hake was cooked to perfection, the carrots were soft, flavoursome and colourful - the potatoes I dont really recall much about.Portions on the small side - carrots and potatoes were to be shared between two people. Then again, I wasnt that hungry so it kind of worked.Service was good, was pretty chilly outside though, despite it being July!
WOW. What great food! My husband and I got there right as they were opening for dinner service and our bartenders and waitress were awesome. We got local oysters, razor clams and mussels. Everything was delicious.
If you ever want to try oysters this is the place to go! The oyster tasting menu was fantastic and the rose wine pairing we got was excellent! 🙏
Our meal at Kødbyens Fiskebar was one of the highlights of our trip to Copenhagen. We sat outside and enjoyed everything from local oysters to two whole fishes, served family-style. Don’t miss the crispy fried shrimps and make sure to ask for seconds of their incredible sourdough with seaweed butter.
Really delicious! The fish and everything else (the bread f.e. are next level! Totaly recommend it 👌🏽
Where do I even begin? This food was SPECTACULAR. A wonderful first culinary intro to Copenhagen. I sat at the bar on the later side after having flown in from London. Had the best time and loved the ambiance. Austin, who’s the bar manager, was super helpful, especially given that I can’t eat butter and cream. Every suggestion was better than the next. I also tried wine made from Solaris, which was new to me, and it was unbelievable! He explained that the vines are grown amongst fruit vines (from what I remember mostly stone fruitand so they impart a flavor into the wine, which would not typically be able to grow in an area like that. Highly recommend!!
Incredibly fresh and well-crafted cuisine. The accolade theyve received is completely warranted. Draws locals, business dinners, and tourists alike.Hamachi Raw Starter - Incredible take on a tartare.White Asparagus Hot Starter - Some of the best usage of vegetables in a starter Ive had. Broth was insane.Strawberries Dessert - Black garlic caramel sounded better than it wowedAs always, remember everyone has off days, check your bias, and consider other palates.
Just had the loveliest meal there. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were exceptional and the location is cool. Another thing : the bathroom is all mirrors made me feel like Alice in Wonderland.
Food is great but service could definitely improve. Felt like bothering every time I asked for something. Mussels are great and the bread one of my favorites in CPH
Best seafoodbar in Copenhagen. Been here 4 times in the past 4 years. The quality, service and atmosphere is spot on. Pictures will make you hungry but wait till you are there.
Oyster tasting, scallops, and squid were delicious. Slow service but staff were nice when they got to you. Had a great time meeting others sitting at the bar.
What a place.Everything was amazing.Best fish and chips ever!
Delicious food but some items are ridiculously overpriced. Overall experience was disappointing due to the disinterested and borderline rude staff. Only time we encountered poor service after 5 days in Copenhagen.
The service was amazing and the food was divine! Highlights included the Danish (native and invasiveoysters and the fish and chips. Wow!
Really fancy fish restaurant, a little pricey but the food was fantastic, specially the mussels

Best seafood, everything was so fresh and tasty. Very friendy staff with amazing recommendations, everything was a perfect choice and we really enjoyed it 😊👍🏽
Delicious fresh seafood. Clearly a destination place, so seemed a little overpriced to me. I wish we’d gotten all cold dishes - they were by far the best, along with the fried prawns and oysters.
Absolutely a great place for a romantic diner, eating with friends or just alone enjoying the great food in the bar.Friendly and professional staff.
Highly recommend visiting, amazing service, high quality food and a great selection of wine. Special shout out to our waiter who was able to brilliantly pair the wine with food and select key dishes.
Was so yummy! I can recommend the vegetarian dish but definitely try some of the fish dishes if you got the chance. The service was also fine and the restaurant has a cool atmosphere.
Really good food, especially the cod roe worked nicely with the crispy kale and tasted really savory/smokey and the granita dessert had an intresting mouthfeel !:🤗
A nice place in Copenhagen to have lunch. Me and my girlfriend had a dozen of "Le Gall" oysters as entrees, with two glasses of Chardonnay. After that we got a plate of blue mussels steamed in apple cider with plenty of herbs and double cream and a portion of lightly smoked cod with hand cut potatoes and raw remoulade. Everything was tasty and very fresh. Probably a bit expensive, but it was alright considering Danish standards.
Meh. Very nice looking place with excellent food and drink, but v expensive. It loses a lot of panache by having a staff of very young kids. Every item ordered and served was handled by a different staff member. A fine meal should be curated, not dropped off my a string of kids paying no attention to anyone but each other.
One of the best places in Copenhagen. Pretty relaxed place with wonderful tapas-like dishes to try out.
Nice food and atmosphere! A reservation is highly recommended !! Since its always super busy
If you like seafood this place is definitely worth a visit. We had a set menu and everything was superb..from service to food Fiskebaren nailed it. Make sure you try their homemade bread - the best I ever had.
One of the best seafood meals I’ve had in a long time. Add excellent service and a great atmosphere and you know you have to come back.
OUTSTANDING food and wine. Housed in the Meat Packing District of Copenhagen in an unattractive exterior - due to the City not allowing any changes - dont judge a book by its cover , get inside this wonderful restaurant! The food is glorious and the service is great. I was there in a private dining room for a wedding lunch which was divine. Glorious raw Brill starter and magnificent whole Halibut main course with a delightful dessert. The main restaurant has easy wheelchair access but not sure about parking as I went by taxi. Enjoy!!
Incredible spot for the best seafood in Copenhagen. The blue mussels is a must try and the fresh fish (hake or turbot). They also have an amazing selection of oysters.
