Kochin backwaters in Paravūr

Great short time experience. The Shikara boat drivers service was excellent.

Too costly 3000 per couple, not worth.only boating and nothing much to see.marine drive offers 2000 per couple and is much fun.

Its really not worthy. in starting they said 4000 package , its not people base, its single boat price.After bargaining they will only say 3500 ...but Ill really not recommend to waste ur money here .Reason being, they are saying its Mangrove Forrest but those were not the actual one...Vouchers they showed u ,in actual is nothing like that ...We thought they will show us deep forest but in the name of forest they will just park boat in some deep corner .Also its 1hour tour but they are intentionally driving boat very slow to stretch ur one hour.There is nothing like to see there ...

Its so beautiful and mysterious. Must visit to experience. Boats rides are enchanting. Govt and private run boats available. Short ride and long ride, you can chose the package. Govt ferry is very economical.Airconditioned and non-airconditioned boats.

Nearby Shalom Palace, superb place and people.

3000 roupies , 2 person, 1 hour expansive ! the engine made a terrible noise, I would have preferred not to try

You can enjoy a joyfull boat ride in Kochin Backwaters. Off course you have to book a cruise or boat if a group or team having to travel this back water or can book tickets if you are in single family.lots of cruise ready to move the back water and guide always explain about the different historical place or you can dance or sing with their musicians .2-3 hrs journey cruise drop you another sight of Kochin city to visit oldest church or museum,then you have some marketing or food can enjoy also local restaurant.You can reach by any Auto or Ola /Uber cab to reach this place where started cruise from Ernakulam City.

Hi all.... I agree with Mr.Kannan....Rs. 3000 is too costly and it is actually Rs. 500 only....They charge Rs.3000 if we are outsiders....Plz dont try ....Boats pathetic conditions...Life jackets not provided!!!! Dont plz believe the positive reviews...The reviews should be given by their know people....Made us to wait for hours and gave us boat (with starting problem.....

One of my worst experience.We 6 people took a boat which was charged at 3000rs per boat... For 1.10 minutes. They offered ( deepaadditional 20 minutes and promised so many places.The issues....1. There is nothing much to see in this area.2. He shows us, fishing nets, some business people empty buildings,3. He hardly took us for 1 km with his motor boat.. And said time to return. I had to call the owner and convince him to go further.. After few meters, again he stops saying time to return...4. He goes very slow.. Stopped the boat 4 times saying some problem...and tried to fix. Almost 30-45 mins gone in that...I have been to alleppey. Which is cheap and worth for what we pay. But since we reached late and we had to go guruvayur after this... Decided to go for this. This was worth only for 500 rs and not for 3000rs.Most of the reviews, they used local guides and known people and making us fool. Please beware!!

If you are in Kochi and going to start Kerala Trip so avoid THIS place as it has nothing to enjoy instead you waste your hard earned money of ₹2000 for boring boat and you will get more boat options in Poowar and Thekkady etc

Amazing backwater experience in Kochin, Kerala. Really serene place and u feel engrossed in nature. Some exotic birds and mangroves. Add this to your travelling plan for Kerala.

One can go for boating in Kochin Backwaters and witness a bird sanctuary inside the mangrove forests. Many fishers also come in these Backwaters to catch fishes and you will witness many distinct styles of fishing.

Boring! Ive been on boat rides in Allepy which were actually fun. We went to local homes and watched them make ripe from coconut fiber. That was in 2011. This boat ride was just down river on a useless boat with sorry food an be little to do. The water was stinky in some places, but I sat on the upper deck.

Went on a boat ride along the backwaters for about an hour. Mostly around Ernakulam neighborhood. Saw some fishing boats, Chinese fishing nets and small shops alongside the waters. Spotted some migratory birds along the mangrove bushes. The pricing (3500 for a private 6 seateris a bit steep, in my opinion. They could use less noisier motors on the boats to give a more pleasant experience.One sad thing is that the entire water body is strewn with waste plastics and such. Very disheartening to see nature being damaged like this.

Price is high ! 2500 per boat and that too, they will inform to take u in between mangrove forest but they wont !Do Not Go for this boat trip until unless you really want to waste your money. DO NOT GO.

Kochin is famous for the backwaters boat ride around lagoon, rivers lined with coconut trees.It’s nice experience where you sit in boat n relax enjoy the nature. You could see many houseboat along the way.Here they also take you to Sachin Tendulkar villa.You could see many migratory birds. Chinese fishing netsAll in all nice experiences to enjoybeautiful weather and being close to coast they have backwaters running around the city.

Its place sea the beauty of nature while you ride in a boat. If you are not taking the boat ride, l say hopefully, it doesnt make any sense. Hope you enjoy your evening there.

Backwater means this lake connected to the Arabian Sea. Hear boating is a good experience and you enjoy and feel the water mix in the air. You can see new variety of birds. Boating price is less compare to others.

It is a very good place to have a boating trip in the backwaters of cochin. You can have some scenic views of the back waters. This place also passes through a marshy forest which offers a very good views and sightings of water birds. You can also see the Villa presented to Sachin Tendulkar enroute. The price though is bit expensive. If you are wanting to have a boat trip you can enjoy this place

Loved the boat journey at Kochi backwaters. They are charging rupees 850 per person for a 8am to 4pm journey in the backwaters of Kochi. They will take by van to another village through the hinterland for around 40kms from where the boat journey starts. It is a breathtaking journey lasting for more than 5 hours. There is arrangements for vegetarian launch in a village cooked by village ladies of traditional Kerala dishes which is very nice.After launch return journey starts.

The small open boats availabe were very dangerously operated by a single person. No security back up was provided, security life buoy were not provided, although family ladies xhildren were on board. Total 14 members in one team. The xharged high amt on tickets compared to facilities and ni security provided. Govt should take stern action against them.

It was a little expensive but its really fantastic luxury experience and worths!!! My wife and I had a private romantic houseboat trip in Kerala. We watched the sunset from the boat as we anchored in the middle of the backwaters and enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep. We had an incredibly relaxing sitting on the deck and taking in all the wonderful sites.No words to express the service offed by Kerala Seasons Holidays. Our Trip to Kerala was for 12 days with a lovely trip to Alleppey backwaters. House boat trip was super and what we enjoyed the most was the cruise and visit to the villages in Alleppey. our local village trip included a visit to the paddy fields and toddy shop. we want to say a big thank you to Kerala Seasons and specially our driver Mr Mathew Kurien who was very helpful throughout the trip. Kochi trip was short and but we enjoyed everything including a visit to the cherai beach. our hotel at Kumarakom and Vagaman were first class. Hotel Lake song at Kumrakom was extra ordinary and we loved our stay there with a wonderful view of the backwaters.Munnar and Thekkedy tour was also very good, especially the hotel the Fog. although there was a mad rush for the ticket for the boat trip in Thekkady - the journey was worth it. the attitude of boat house staff and traditional food served at the house boat were super. we never expected such an amazing experience in Kerala - Thanks to All - Thanks to the people thanks to the hotel staff and house boat employees and sepcially our tour operator " Kerala Seasons Kochi"

Its beauty at its best. Having good, cosy, beautiful house boats fully equipped with kitchens, A/cs in bedrooms & dinning area. Also having open decks to enjoy natural climate & beauty of so big a lake in acres. We were happy to get good captain, cook & other staff of Ayodhya house boat which was booked through Make our moments travel agency in Cochin. Hope to visit again.

The place is named as back waters but doesnt have anything. Boating cost rs 2500 and is a total waste. They will take you arou for an hour. Only you can see is bushes, sachin tendulkars guest house and few mangroves, total waste of money and time.

Nice place for boating / Shikara. However in season they charge much. I was there on 24th Oct. They asked Rs. 2500. I negotiated them to Rs. 1500 for same services. Many celebraties bungalow s around lake.

From boat house we took small boats and went for boating. 500 rupees per boat. Around 1 km you can boat.
