Its an excellent one-time experience. Pity their sushi chef had not arrived yet. I will definitely try their sushi on my next visit. Great service. Great food.

For our wedding anniversary we had dinner at Kobe. What an amazing restaurant, more like an experience. The smell , the hospitality, the atmosphere, it’s an evening of entertainment. The quality of the different dishes is exquisite. Even the fried rice is the best I ever tasted. Thank you Kobe team for making our date night special. You all make your guests feel special. Hospitality is what Kobe separates from the rest. Thank you, salamat!

Completely worth the money. We spent about 3h inside and only left because my pregnant body wouldnt let me sit any longer otherwise a great place.

My experience tonight was fantastic. The waitresses and chef were amazing ! The food was quite literally worth the price and then some ! I recommend this establishment ; especially if you are one for Japanese bistro !11/10 !

The food was very good, with a variety of subtle flavours, expertly prepared.What was even better was the quality of service and attention to detail of the staff. They engaged us in friendly, polite conversation, answered all of our questions and took great care of us, making sure everything was to our liking.They noticed that my wife was pregnant and made sure to cook all her food well and substitute tasty replacements for raw food items.Everyone had a great positive energy which led to us having a great time. If we’re back in Maastricht, we’d definitely consider coming back for the experience and to try some of the other dishes!

Truly an unique experience in Maastricht. We really enjoyed our 6 courses with scallops, tenderloin and prawns. The chef owner cooked our dinner and was highly skilled. Everything tasted extremely fresh and flavourful. The only improvement I could give the experience was that there could have been a little bit more time between the courses.

We have been going to Kobe for many many years now, and I will say that it is the most favorite sushi place in the world for all our family members. Aki-san, the sushi chef, is one of a kind - we highly recommend this restaurant. All the employees are very friendly and service oriented.

Fantastic food! The steak and salmon were perfectly cooked, very tender on the inside. The steak had a fascinating smokey aroma, making me fall in love immediately. The appetizer had a crispy outside, and it was marinated with rich flavors. The Japanese black sesame ice cream had a lovely surprising ice-crystal texture, different from common ice cream. The chef was very professional and attentive. Definitely recommend! Definitely coming back!

Attentive service and delicious food. My partner and I went here for our anniversary and were not disappointed. From my observation, other guests in the restaurant had a good time that evening as well. One minor comment, is that if the restaurant want to stand out compared to others in Maastricht center, interiors can be improved for a more romantic/cozy vibe.

I think the service was great, the staff was friendly, and the food seemed fine. My friend and I order sashimi and we both felt weird the day after. But other than that we had a good time.

Had a great dinner with my girlfriend on Saturday night. The chef was friendly whilst showcasing his skills. The wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing we would have liked is to have been asked if we wanted another drink when our glasses were empty. Other than that we have recommended this place to others already and will be coming back

Great food and a variety of menus to choose from in addition to a wide range of a la carte offerings.We found service to be lackluster in a few ways. Our glasses were often empty, when one of us asked for a drink the rest of the group didnt have a chance to order as well before the waitress turned around and walked away. Sometimes dishes were thoroughly explained (such as the selection of appetisers), but others were put on the table without any interaction. Other reviews praised the service so we were rather surprised.Food, however, as well as the preparation at the table was very nice. The kind chef was involved and eager to explain and answer some questions. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection even though some guests preferred to have their meat cooked to various degrees. Sushi and sashimi were great as well with good portions and great fish.

Update: just look at the vegetable... I do not think the quantity is the same. And I do not think the package is my problem. Have a nice day!The taste is really good, I was really satisfied first time I visited.But this time I got a sad take-away box...the food is still good, but come on, try to use a smaller box or put in more food

It’s a great hibachi restaurant just don’t be in a rush. This a 3 hour dinner experience and we had a deadline so luckily they cooked some thing faster for us. Great selection of fish and meats. Don’t expect the usual tricks though with fire and throwing.

Regular and too expensive, the wagyu beef is understandable, but it was 1/3 ofthe meal, the remaining was was too simple for over 80 euros for 1 person. When you ask for wine it is expected that a wine menu is brought to you... not a glass of red wine that you don’t know the origin.

Weve been here already 2 times and will definitely come again. The taste of sashimi is amazing, Ive never tried such soft and delicate raw fish. Sushi are also fantastic and they have their own wasabi, which gives the spicyness just for a second, not like in all the other places. The service is great as well

I might be a bit harsh here with the rating but hear me out. The service is great, really! Polite, even a bit fun and everything. The Japanese cooking just in front of you is cool too and they do know how to put a show with fire and all. The view on the river is also nice. So thats the good part and, lets face it, its largely included in the price. So thats what bothers me, youve got the show but the food is ok ... And I expected it the be "wow!". Same for the wine. Thats why I was a bit disappointed, even if I had an overall good experience.

best sushis i have ever had, it has been few months since visited that place but still have it as the best memory from a day-trip to Maastricht. we were seated by sushi bar and had lovely interaction with sushi chef, it was also a great pleasure to observe his beautiful work. we had 6-course menu and each dish was perfect. also all the staff members were super nice and fun to talk to. overall, great experience, highly recommended.

Pretentious. Old, dirty and very average food. Overly expensive for what you get.In response to the owners response: the restaurant is dirty; the ceiling is hoorendous for instance. the plates, cups etc look like a students collection: not one is the same! The appearance of some of your staff makes one lose appetite. The food is average at best, for instance the lettuce and the bean sprouts were old. The sauces were inedible. Is that concrete enough for feedback? And to charge such an amount for what you offer is outrageous.

The price we paid deserved much better service and food. It seems that they do not know how to cook lobster and steak. The desert was frozen tiramisu from freezer, which is quite shocking to me. I have to admit that is a new low point of restaurant desert. The only attracting point was the cooking show if you do not mind carry heavy and greasy garlic smell home.

The food was amazingly tasty, but still a bit too expensive, I guess it can be understandable for the category of the restaurant but still. Very good to see how they cook in front of you but it can take some time to have your food finally ready to eat in your plate.+ IMPORTANT: Be ready to leave smelling like a Lumpia roll.

We came here following the good reviews on Google, however the personal experience we made was completely different. There is an intense smell and smoke from the live cooking, and the menue prices are not reflecting what you expect. The meals are average level, maybe even below. Cutlery and glasses also did not impress by their cleanliness. The overall impression of this visit does not fit the bill whatsoever. If you look for a restaurant in this area, you can definitely do better.

Awsome experience, worth every penny. We had the Tsuki teppanyaki course with Salmon and the tendorloin exchanged with Wagyu. Salmon was cooked to perfection, best sushi in town. I had high expectations of this restaurant based on what I has heard about it. Food was nice, but service was slow.Rare steak turned up 20 minutes after the other main courses were serves which is not acceptible.

Our evening went not so well.14, August 2018. €121,00Kobe is the name of the restaurant but not the grade of beef. This is important as there is a distinct difference between the two. Upon entering i had asked staff if they knew what grade Wagyu they offered (the actual grade of beefto which they did not know. They consulted their chefs who also did not know. A follow up from the owner later stated grade 8 however i suspect 5. Staff should know what grade of beef is offered as its a misnomer of a moniker to have a restaurant named Kobe when only serving Wagyu.The sushi was good and i found no faults worth mentioning.As mentioned above the beef was not quite Wagyu and was cooked too quickly as they were missing two chefs midweek and the restaurant had too many people for the chefs on hand. The chefs required instructions to make sure the mains course was served in time for everyone eating. Nothing worse than one person being served their main course whilst another is being served an appetizer. Thats just poor kitchen reading of a ticket.I must say the original review resulted in offence taken as though process improvement and the ability to take a critique to heart might be beyond the capabilities of the owners. Not everyone earns a 5 star nor does everyone deserve one. A poor product is a poor product regardless if the majority like or sell out to some hippie/world peace version of "lets not upset someone as they might cry" mentality. Your customers are your business. You can still keep your vision whilst taking their advice and improving.Total time from taking order to exit. 2.5 hours for a party of two. Its summer season. Chefs take holidays when its slow season not summer.

First time having having Japanese and it was amazing.The food was excellent, the staff friendly and very knowledgeable.One of my top ten restaurant experiences. Can not wait to return in the future.

Good service, but its really overpriced. There is absolutely no reason to pay that much for what we have ordered. Quality is ok but overpriced. The menu is with fixed combinations of choices and there isnt too much of flexibility. Japanese restaurant without ghyoza.

Nice decor and atmosphere.Table Service is excellent.Food is good, but have room for improvement. I ordered the Teppanyaki set. The appetizer and soup are standard fare, but the Tenderloin steak is really nice.Sushi is however probably a hit and miss. I ordered 2 pieces, and 1 of the piece broke apart the moment I dip it into the sauce.

Good quality and lots of menus to choose from. It is a typical (westernTeppanyaki restaurant where you pay mostly for sitting around the hot plate to enjoy the cooking show. Its fun but expensive.Its the best Japanese restaurant I found in Maastricht so far. Again, its expensive but I always go back home full and satisfied.
