Knus Karoo Kombuis in Noorder-Paarl

Food was great, service ok, but tax fraud is never acceptable. Another place where we only received a „draft receipt“ aka proforma invoice.

Yet another amazing time spend at Knus... Amazing staff and food prepared to perfection....

What an amazing experience we had at Knus!! The food was fantastic (great value for moneyand youd be hard pressed to find another established with friendlier staff than them. Great jungle gym to keep the kids entertained as well. Will certainly be going back and making Knus our new local hangout for sure. Thanks for a lekka day!!

The best place to have cake in Paarl, by far! Do not doubt placing an order for an entire cake because the cakes are big and all your guests will be astonished by the delicious taste. This is the perfect escape, with a beautiful outside setting and warm and cozy atmosphere inside. They have very good coffee and exceptional service. You will not be disappointed in their variety, I would love to try out their food as well.

Lovely experience today! Our first time visiting and enjoyed every bit of it! The food and drink was lovely; the kids really enjoyed themselves and the adults could relax and enjoy the experience. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

We enjoyed the Karoo cupachino and cheesecake which was very tasty. I could see a lot of other menu items I would like enjoying, but mostly above my budget range. We ended up sharing the cheesecake.

Just so good, beautiful and homely. Breakfast is great with there fresh baked “braai” roosterkoek.

This place is an absolute gem! The staff is very friendly and has a few jokes up their sleaves the food is delicious and I always walk away with a full and satisfied stomach. The new improvements are perfect for families with the big wooden tractor and the water feature for the kiddos to play in during summer or winter (for the brave ones). This is my favourite place to visit. It is unfortunate that Knus is not open on Sundays, but I do respect their loyalty to their religion. Perfect place to visit!

What a great location, friendly team and delicious menu. I had the poached eggs with biltong and I must confess, it was an emotional experience. Unashamedly and beautifully South African. Xxx

Stopped with kids to have a look at new bike track and ended up having breakfast at Knus. Really nice playpark for entertaining the kids. Had to get up 5 times to get service so that was the only negative. All round a nice experience.

I absolutely loved to be back after a long absence. What a shame I do bot live close by anymore...

Something else, most of their dishes served on a very tasteful roosterkoek. Friendly staff and all covid 19 regulations complied with. Will visit again.

Awesome morning out with the lads cycling , ended off with a delightful coffee at the coffee shop! Awesome! Best to arrive early or make a reservation as it could get busy and they dont have too many tables....

Cozy spot on a rainy day. Good WiFi, friendly and attentive staff. Nothing vegan on the menu, but they accommodated a custom order well. And they had mylk options to go with outstanding coffee.

What lovely spot to have breakfast or lunch.I can just hear the children laughing and playing in their children’s playarea🙌🏻🙌🏻In summer under the trees the time with slowly pass you buy and in winter the fireplace makes you feel cosy…thus the name “Knus” which means comfortable and warm.I would like to suggest different kind of music that will make it even more cosy like AfriFrans or French music.There is ample gifts to be bought and did I mention that they are expanding🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻Whatch this space…It is going to be a discovered hit😎😎

A wonderful country kitchen ambience with great service, excellent food and very reasonable prices.

The town of Paarl has a big variety of restaurants and cafés that offer great breakfasts, and Knus Karoo Kombuis is no different. Conveniently located close to the N1 turn-off to Paarl, it is easily accessible and its beautiful setting against the slope of Paarl mountain is just the cherry on-top. They have a large selection of items for breakfast with most including a "Roosterkoek" which is a traditional South African bread made on an open fire. I had the "Knus Ontbyt" which was very tasty and with it I had a pot of "Moerkoffie" which is coffee made in a traditional South African way. The pot of coffee was also enough for almost 3 cups which is great to share or to keep for yourself if you want to stay a while. Our waitress was also very friendly and all Covid-19 regulations were followed. Glad we decided to pop in.

Food was great in a beautiful garden with fantastic service. There is a small jungle gym for the kids and a bike track next door which you can pay extra for if your kids are keen for some more adventure.

Lovely shaded garden to eat outdoors. There is an indoor area too. Wonderful stop if you are a mountain biker. There is a Specialized store next door and some epic trails and pump tracks. Back to the restaurant. I enjoyed a decent cappuccino and a perfectly made Knus breakfast. Service was fair and friendly, food was good but most importantly it had a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. I didnt try the cake but saw them on display at the entrance. They truly looked delicious. Ill be back Im sure, cycling and then putting all of those calories straight back into my body with decadent delights.

Very nice ambiance with a "kitchen" feel to it.Furniture is a bit rickety to give you the "Farm" feeling but it did not do it for me. Sitting on a swaying chair and table, no thanks.For the food, my medium to rare burger was more on the well done side with a moer koffie that needed a lot more moer...The service made up it get 3 stars.

Cozy place, amazing unique food offering, with genuine Karoo slant. Waiter had excellent humour, all in all an excellent experience. Worth visiting.Secure and away from city bussle, witb gifts and eateries to take with you.

Great little spot for coffee. The menu looked quite large and inviting (didnt get a chance).
