Classic theme park boasts fast rides, old-fashioned charm & famous fried chicken.
So fun and reasonably priced. We stayed at hotel which was so close to water park and amusement park which we did both. Amusement park has rides for all ages at most the longest we waited in line was about an hour and 30min . For my daughter with a deadly dairy allergy we were so happy they have a panda express which made eating dairy free no problem. The water park was really fun get there early as park fills up. I recommend staying at hotel since they offer deals our stay came with one fast pass for one ride for each person in room. We used on ghost rider since that ride was an instant 2hr wait once opened. Summer night food tasting tickets and a discount to the restaurant in hotel. Tickets to soak city were only $45 dollars flat I believe. Pool at hotel was relaxing after long day. Side note our room did not have microwave or refrigerator its an upgrade, so more money.
Knotts is a compact amusement park with something for everybody. Personally I love the fast rides like the Silver Bullet. We were there the 4th of July, there were a lot of people, but it didnt feel crowded at all. Later on in the evening the fireworks were very pretty. Complete with music. Bands playing all over the place, which gave us that real festive feeling. We had a great day again.
Super Fun Day with lots of attraction and rides .Whole Day activity for the whole family a must see in California.Great experience, clean and friendly staff Awesome Day its an whole day activities so bring lots of energy and sunscreen to explore the Knotts Berry Farm.
Had an awesome experience there. Bought a season pass which gives you a discount on food. Lines are always long (as usual, people saybut it was still a fun time going there. Looking forward to going on Supreme Scream!!
I usually go on weekdays when most rides are under 45 minute wait time. The park is clean and rides don’t break down often. I recommend going early in the morning close to opening time. There is also plenty of entertainment besides the rides. The food is overpriced though!
Location:Good, Parking:Okay, Cleanliness:Good, bathrooms: Decent, Trash monitoring: Okay, seating areas: Decent. Ride times: kinda fast. Holiday crowd: really decent. Food for price:high. Drinks: also high. Overall: for a 4th of July visit I was happy with the price at the window $99 for day. They did have a small military discount for up to 6 tickets($90 per ticket). It has been years but I was very happy with most of my experience. If I did not have to eat or drink it would of been a great day I found some of the food to be so basic and just lack any taste. The beer was truly the worst tasted in quite a long tme. I would like to see getting what you pay for when it comes to meals. Even the famous Chicken is not what is was to me from past meals. I do hope they can make some simple changes. Like nacho cheese Instead of shredded it did not melt right and was just not worth the money paid.
I am shocked I havent heard more of my friends or anyone going to this place but we loved it! The park was not crowded at all! Tuesday on the final week in June is when we went. It was very clean, lots of shady benches to sit on, easy to get in and out of. Roller coasters are great with just enough thrill! Kids had a fast pass and went on each ride multiple times. Id go here over Disney again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!
Ive been coming here since I was a kid and have always loved it. It still is very similar to the place I remember. My son loves roller coasters but is only 6 so Knotts is perfect because they have a little bit it everything. The characters there are also awesome. We got the one day pass and an all day drink pass. The drink pass was 100% worth it. It was like 18 bucks with tax and you could get free refills every 15 min. They had tons of places to get the refills. We enjoyed our time.
Okay my two kids had never been and we came from Oregon. GREAT FOOD!! Like so yummie. Kids had a extremely good time. BUUUT the wait times for the rides is just crazy. 2.5 hours we spend for 2 different rides. We were there 9am-11pm and rode 7 rides. So that was extremely sad.
This is a great place in a generic roller coaster 🎢 amusement park sort of way!! Expensive food, stinky smells lots of human body odor indistinguishable from fermenting trash topped of with a sunburn. Too much human flesh on display as if it were part of the parks attraction to feed the sharks 🦈 other than that you will not be disappointed 😢 take a walk down memory lane as one of the signs said
Fantastic place for a day out. Dont be fooled by the name. This place has some incredibly exhilarating rides and rollercoasters. The lines do tend to be a little long, but the rides are definitely worth it. People of all ages will find something to enjoy here, whether its the amazing rides or the western themed city, ghost town. The most thrilling rides I would suggest are the Xllerator, silver bullet, hang time, ghost rider, and the free fall.
Very fun as always. For the first time, my family and I took part of the "Founders Day" activities. Part of the ghost town alive event. Had a blast, all the characters were fun and stood in character. Totally going to have to go back and do it again.
Knotts is one of my happy places. I spent most of my childhood there, and have seen it change so much over the last 30 years. Took my kiddo for his birthday, he had a blast. Go early, beat the crowd and heat.Camp Snoopy: Go early, my son was able to ride everything in 1.5 hours because there was no lines. Around 12pm the park is crowded and getting hot.Pro: All Day food pass, All day drink pass roughly 53$ to eat and drink all day. Well worth the cost.Con: Since Covid guest are not as friendly, but life is different now. Wear a mask if you feel its necessary 😷
I love this park, there is so much things you can do! The employees are very friendly. When I went I bought 3 single meal deals for $15.99 each. You can downolad the app and will tell you which restaurant take the meal deals. It helps and saves you money compare to paying for the meal there. I also bought the souvenir bottle for $16.99 online. If you buy in Knotts its $2. More. I had so much fun with my daughter and husband it was their first time going! You have to try the funnel cakes!! Just fyi- We bought 1 funnel cake with ice cream and shared it with us 3 and it was more then enough. Specially if you still want to get in the rides.
I enjoyed visiting the park, it has been nicely upgraded. Last time I visited was 20 years ago, this time was my kids 1st time, they really liked it. Definitely coming back soon, nice rides, and not too crowded
It was an unforgettable experience, the stage actor on the old west setting part of the park was the one thing that caught me, Im a huge western films fan so my excitement was unmeasurable, then the wait as all theme parks is awful and I wish there was humidifiers like on other parks, the sun and heat are very vexing. The moment I went to get food to a place named Johnny Rocket was when the fun stopped, it was a tasteless, flavourless burger with decent fries, cant believe it it was 15 bucks and no drink and it was so bad I had to go get some candy to give me energy which were good then the roller coasters were amazing and my favorite, ghost rider, amazing and fun. I highly recommend going with snacks and drinks and spend your money on the not so overpriced souvenirs.
BERRY. SO. MUCH. BERRY. Let me tell you if you love fruit ESPECIALLY berries, this will literally be paradise for you. All jokes aside, this is considered to be Californias best theme park and debatable the original as well. After going here and experiencing this place for myself, I can definitely see why people say that. The ambiance is very welcoming and fresh, the aesthetic is so colorful and inviting, and the theme park as a whole utilizes the berry theme very well throughout its entirety. The food is good and surprisingly diverse despite a good amount of the selections revolving around boysenberry. The rides are fast paced and quite the thrill ride despite some of the rides having quite the wait time depending on what time and what day you go to the theme park. The stores have a BUNCH of stuff to offer such as food, candy, souvenirs, clothes, glasses, silverware, cups, and THEY EVEN. HAVE. WEAPONS. Thats right. You can actually get a pocket knife, knife, and a couple other kind of blades at one of their gift shops. Granted, you can only actually pick this up once you leave the park and it has to be traded from a ticket they give you and theres protocol to be followed, but STILL I found that amazing to be honest. Overall, just like Santa Monica Pier, this is a place that EVERYONE I feel like needs to go to once whether theyre visiting or live in California. However, will I say it lives up to its name as the original and best theme park in California? Ill leave that for you to decide!
We went on a Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday. Thursday was a pretty good day. the lines were extremely long though and there was a ton of field trip kids there but we still had fun. Friday was okay More Middle School kids on their end of the year field trips some of them are quite rude and annoying so I started to not enjoy myself very much we ended up leaving early about 6:30. Saturday was a completely different experience no field trips kids to speak of that I could see there but mostly kids with parents since it was the weekend so Camp Snoopy was pretty full but the rest of the park not too terrible the lines were still pretty long on rides if you are trying to go on Ghost Rider you were waiting up to 180 minutes at one point which I believe is 3 hours or close to that so my poor feet were killing me. they need more places to sit down there are random picnic tables and benches in certain areas but it was so crowded there was almost never any place to sit especially in the shade and it started to get hot on Saturday so it was a little bit less enjoyable with the warmer weather. I loved the Calico burlesque show it was not anything inappropriate it was just a lot of high-energy dancing and singing very cute I wish they had more shows like that for people that need to sit down more and I was a little bit sad that they dont cater to larger size people for their rides I knew that before going in but I wasnt sure exactly what I would get to ride on I tried the dragon swing and I barely got the bar closed and it crushed my guts the entire time I was on it so I didnt try to go on anything else that said it did not cater 2 larger people, that being said we had a fun time its probably not something I would go back and do it again even though we had a good time, I feel like thats a one time and Im done place for me.
We had a Wonderful time!! We suggest buying your tickets online!! We also suggest buying your Parking Pass ahead of time (it saves you money), we Also bought the All Day Picture Pass (which for us was wasted money because we didnt ride anything that snapped our pictures), Best money spent was on the All Day Drink Passes and Dining Passes (we bought 2 of eachwe were able to get refills every 15 mins on drinks a day eat or snack every 90 mins. We just wish we would have started those passes sooner than we did. We really enjoyed our time as a family of 6, some rides werent accessible to our Sons whom are taller than 6 feet in my husband who is larger than most of their rides allow. The rides devices would not "Lock" properly over the boys legs or my husbands lap. All told we wish we could have ridden more rides, but we still had a wonderful times as a family!!
Fun! I would recommend it for teenagers over Disneyland and Legoland because it has more thrilling rides! Reasonable price and no wait times during weekdays. Park map shows thrill grading for all rides.
What a great surprise! This place was great! Clean.. Safe.. And the rides were awesome..some serious thrills! Forget Disney... This place is better! Get the fast pass...worth it.
I love knotts berry farm, Ive been visiting for years. A place to spend a great time with the family and enjoy. The rides, the shows, the food. Two of my favorite times are during the Boysenberry Festival, and Christmas time. During the Boysenberry festival you get to sample foods and wines that are delicious. Visit the shops for a great shopping experience. During this festival, you will say hello to spring in a wonderful way and the colors are wonderful. During Christmas, you will get to enjoy the same things, but in a more Christmassy kind of way, they decorate camp Snoopy with lights and wonderful music. The prices at knotts berry farm are much better than other theme parks that are nearby. Explore the park and you will definitely be brought back to those happy times in your childhood, as the park is not just for children, but also children at heart. Blessings and enjoy life. We only live once and the lost days can never be bought back.❤️❤️❤️
I honesty dont remember the last time I visited Knotts to go the rides. My family and I visited last year, 2021, for the annual Boysenberry festival but at the time COVID was still in full swing and the park rides were closed down. I want to say the last time I went to Knotts to enjoy the park was back in 2015? Its been quite some time! This year I went back mostly for the Boysenberry festival but since they now require park admission tickets in addition to the tasting card cost, of course my family and I were going to take full advantage of having to pay to get into Knotts!First off, they seem to be doing some updating to the park. There were a few areas that had construction going on so Im excited to see what theyre going to add! Unfortunately it looks like theyve also closed a few shops that I remember going to as a kid when my parents brought me to Knotts. Ill also add that during my time there I did notice there were a good handful of rides that were either down or seemed to be not working at all, Im not sure if theyre doing maintenance on the rides or if there are plans to replace them. One thing Ive always noticed is that the Xcelertator roller coaster ALWAYS seems to be down when I visit, not really sure why that is though.I hate to compare Knotts but I really noticed a difference in the upkeep of their park compared to Disney. I do realize that Disney is on a whole different level when it comes to theme parks but I was a little disappointed that it seems like Knotts doesnt have the same care for their rides as Disney. A lot of the rides just looked old and faded, you could tell theyve been around for a while by the less than vibrant paint on the tracks. Kind of depressing to look at in all honesty. The wait time for the rides were the worst Ive ever experienced as well. I do understand that not only was I visiting on a Sunday afternoon but it was also the counties Spring break week AND Easter Sunday - not to mention the Boysenberry festival was going on too. So its clear why they were so busy, Ive honestly never seen a wait time of 90 minutes for all of my favorite rides. Jaguar, Calico Mine Ride, Log Ride etc. It was pretty crazy! Good thing my family and I were mainly going for the Boysenberry festival so that helped us through most of the day. We werent waiting in lines for the entire duration of our visit.I guess compared to Disney I can see why the cost of admission was only $84 . You sort of get what you pay for, which I dont think is bad. The food was pretty good and the wait times were to be expected. Id probably go back for Knotts scary farm since Ive never experienced that event before. But if I were to go back to Knotts just for their regular park rides Id definitely go on a weekday when the tickets are cheaper and HOPEFULLY there are shorter lines.
Excellent time here we had such a good time we ate the famous chicken it was a little bit pricey but definitely worth it at the restaurant outside the park. And most rides were open the wait for the rides wasnt so bad we went on a Friday and we got there midday I have no regrets we got on most all the rides. The workers very courteous, caught a couple shows. The life of the bathrooms were short and the bathrooms were very clean I always tell someone in there cleaning them. We could not bring in food but we did bring in water because we refuse to pay $4 for a bottle of water thats my tip have a fabulous time!!
UPDATE: Berry Festival! The boysenberry craze is fun and you get to explore different kinds of food and drinks and desserts!!The price for admission is much better than Disneyland and the rides are great!Last Month: Fun, fun, fun! Need more staff. Long wait times for everything just about.Went to eat at Boardwalk BBQ.Big serving!TIP: Don’t go on a Saturday.. crowded
An amazing theme park. We took the whole family (6 total, 4 kids fromm 3-11We arrived right at opening, and got amazing parking ($25 for standard). Went right through bag check and ticket booth, straight to Camp Snoopy for all the kids rides. We were able to get every ride done there before 11. That is when it really started to get busy. Definitely recommend arriving early to get favorite rides done before the crowds. All the food we had was delicious as always for the boysenberry festival. But i have to say, the Chicken and boysenberry donut combo was by far the best. Coming in at a very close second was the chili on mac and cheese. Highly recommend purchasing a parkcup as you get free refills throughout the day of purchase. In total we did 14 rides and the kids stayed pretty well entertained. We stayed until an hour before closing. Definitely going to go again!!!
Its great to get here early. We enjoyed the short lines. Get got quite busy after 11. But it was during Spring break locally, so it was to be expected. All the employees we interacted with were very pleasant and knowledgeable. A fun morning for us pass holders.
A Platinum pass is a must-do here. It includes parking, and the daily prices are insane! Food is amazing and rides are for kids and adults alike. Small area to squeeze all the rides in, but this certainly isnt Cedar Point.
If you really cant afford other parks, or wasnt able to go to one because of the law, Knotts Berry Farm should be perfect and more affordable to save you from your troubles! They have neat merchandise for yourself or your friends and family, intense rides that will make you scream, like my personal favorite... the Silver Bullet from Ghost Town, and enjoy some awesome attractions and food! Heck, their chicken is fast, easy and high-quality, but also deliciously tasty! When you have your kids with you, you can take them to Camp Snoopy to meet up with your favorite Peanuts characters for some cute photos! If you havent went to a theme park for a long time because of the pandemic or youre waiting very eagerly to go there, then Americas #1 Theme Park of this will be awesome for you. Have fun and be very safe!🎡🎠🎢🚂
We went on my kids first day of spring break and it was not very busy at all. The lines were 10-15 minutes for each ride. The only two rides where the wait times were about 30-45 minutes was the two water rides. The food lines during lunch rush was surprisingly the longest line we had to wait in---we waited an hour. Other than that, definitely a place for the family!
Easy flow amusement park. We got there at 11 and left at 11:30 pm. We didnt leave the park to eat because we did find good options. Buy your tickets online to save up. Take small snacks and water. My husband and I efficiently got in two lines to save time (no need to buy fast passwhile child gor in one ride.Do the horse carriage early because it closes earlier than park closure.
I didnt like the way they inspect visitors with metal detectors as if they were TSA. I also did not like how their games last for only a minute or so.However, the games are entertaining and exciting. Also, theres plenty of food shops and shops for other stuff (replica guns, sweaters, a variety of food, etc.).Generally, the park is huge. You need at least two or three visits to cover all of its features.
Excellent theme park and excellent price for tickets. Came in the middle of March, was not packed at all. Rides were thrilling and the park is just the right size to be able to do everything in one day. The only two things that took a long time (30+ minuteswas getting food and standing in line for Jaguar. We used the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel website to book a one night stay that included the theme park tickets and that was the best deal for us. The park was clean and the trees/plants/flowers were beautiful. This was our 3rd time at the park and it was so much fun. We will return.
Definitely recommend you buy fast Pass tickets all rides are worth the pass and theme park admission. Might seem expe6but its worth the purchase. We had a blast in celebration of my daughters 13th birthday. My niece, son and 2 daughters and self got fastpass and I got a regular theme park ticket for sons daughter so she go on the smaller rides at camp snoopy
Unfortunately made a poor decision to go while Orange County schools has president week off. Lines were way longer than usual. But we still had a blast like always. For the price I pay for season passes it’s well worth your money. You learn the ends and outs rather fast. If you are disabled the parking for those with disabilities is not to far from the entrance and they have line accommodations. My favorite place to eat is the bbq. I avoid the boardwalk food at all cost. Fiesta village is one of my favorite settings esp at night time. Didn’t take many photos today. But I will next week. For the price compared to other amusement parks in the area it is totally worth it. Oh and if you do go I definitely recommend the stuffed churros.
One of the older parks. Some areas look a bit dated but very charming. Not very big and more family oriented so you get around easily. Overal some nice thrilling rides and a big Peanuts theme area for little ones. Come early and you can get all thrilling rides done before noon.
Better than Disneyland. Everything from thrills to kids rides. Gets a bit crowded on the weekends, but still a great amusement park. Been visiting since the 90s, still fun to go.
A great alternative for families on a budget and who hate waiting in long lines. Less action then Disneyland thats for sure. No parades, no real fun atmosphere and no ongoing entertainment. Never saw Charlie Brown or Snoopy. No singers. No dancers. Didnt see any shows going on. The staff is definitely less friendly and actually saw a couple staff personnel yell at customers. I was actually shocked. Everything closes at 6pm and the park is very dark once the sun goes down -- awful night time lighting.Lots of unhealthy food options, which is a bummer. Im giving them 4 stars based on the fact that its way more affordable than their competitors and also for short wait times on most of their rides. But there is definitely room for improvement. Staff should be more friendly and professional and less condescending and rude to customers. They should have better healthy food choices. They definitely need better forms of entertainment. While waiting in lines all we could hear was boring outdated music from a distance. Should have a light show at night, which would also improve the awful nighttime lighting and increase sales. A Snoopy and gang musical parade, a fireworks show and dressing up the park with lights on trees are just some basic things that would elevate the park tremendously. The rides were fun, fairly short but some are scary in a good way. My personal fav was finding 4 beautiful baby pigs taking a nap in the barn area (see my photo). The funnel cake was really good and the BBQ Place was decent, loved their corn bread -- a bit pricey but good.
A great theme park! If you like well themed parks and interesting and different rides this is the park for you! Dark rides, Coasters, Flat Rides, Water Rides, Interesting and unique foods! Boysenberry flavored EVERYTHING. Cant wait until I get to go back and have more fun with friends! Oh and dont forget the chicken dinner! Its a ridiculous amount of food for the price!
Always a great time here. Staff were friendly and super efficient. Food was good and had a variety of options. Rides were excellent and very much add to the charm of Knotts.
Ive always enjoyed Knotts Berry Farm. It has Camp Snoopy with rides for younger kids and then thrill rides for the brave people. No outside food or drink is allowed and the food prices are really high. All the employees were super nice. Every purchase is cashless so bring your debit or credit card. And check the website for closed rides in case that matters. Have fun!!!
Such a BLAST. I went to Universal two days before I came here, let me tell you, I had more fun here. The rides are really fun and exhilarating. The lines are long so you can either wait or spend $100 and literally go in every ride in the park. I went on New Years Eve so the park was open pst midnight, there were fireworks, and they were giving out new years eve hats and little josie makers. Such a fun time!
A great place to go for the family! October weekends, during the day is Knott’s Spooky Farm and kids can trick or treat.Knott’s Merry Farm is also amazing, with the lights and special music and the ice skating show!I got season passes, but had to pay $15 extra per pass to go to the Merry Farm a second time (extra every trip after the 1st Merry Farm visit, the last couple weeks of December, with the basic pass). Parking is $20/day.The all day food pass is a great option if you’ll be there all day. 1 food pass fed 2 adults and 4 kids for a day (subsidizing just a little with snacks we brought in). On a busy day, it may not be worth it since food line waits are easily an hour. But if you can go during the week, when school’s in session, you can cruise through food lines in 10-20 min and maximize the food pass, making it almost too much food!
7 years ago was our first serious date when my hubby and I started dating. Havent been back since. My son and girlfriend invited us and we were delighted. It was my sons gf is from east coast and it was her first time visiting Knotts. We enjoyed ourselves and I got to get on a few rides.
This park is fantastic. Service with a smile and old town flavor. The peanuts gang is all there. It is really nice to see young kids get excited over them. They do have a large portion of the park devoted to the young crowd which is nice. Dont let that fool you. It is shoulder to shoulder with crazy roller coasters. All shows are included with the ticket. They are quality shows. They do take their customer service seriously due to having a theme park university on campus. I am impressed. The only thing I did find disappointing was that they did not enforce masking. The only person I saw inforcing was in the peanuts campus store. The website reassured me that they are, but sadly that was not the case.

Havent been since I was a kid and my wife has never been. For this time of the year it was extremely packed out and super fun I got the enjoy everything cause Im taller now. Excellent staff youve Knots Berry Farm
We visited Knott’s Merry Park on December 4, 2021.To celebrate the holiday season, the park was transformed into a winter wonderland with a variety of picturesque seasonal settings featuring thousands of twinkling lights and Christmas decorations, and a giant lighted and beautifully decorated Christmas tree.We arrived the park by 8am. It was great! Very short wait to get on the popular rides! It took less than 20 minutes to get on most of the rides! So, come in early!
Had an amazing time. Practically no waits, and found everything really reasonably priced compared to Disneyland and Universal Studios. Employees were very kind and helpful, and the park was very well kept. We will definitely be going back soon.
I got a season pass for both my daughter and myself. We go at least once a month and every time we have a blast. There is plenty of food options and rides for everyone to enjoy. This is a great place to get a taste for more thrilling roller coasters than the neighboring amusement park that shall not be named. A fun time for the whole family! 5 stars!
