Knossos 3D Experience in Irakleion

Extremely crowded and it might be that you have to wait in line for a long time.The signs are not very informative.

At the entrance we got asked if we want to have a tour with a tour guide €20 p.p excl entrance fee. quote: to make the site visit less boring..We declined as this sounds like a tourist trap:... It is download the audio tour from Google play store or other sites before visiting Knossos. There you also have the 3D re-constriction available if this is of your interest. (Read in reviews this is also extra 18€)Entrance:15€ without anything, not worth it. You will not learn anything at all.We also went to the Greek mythology thematic park, where you get the audio at the entrance etc. So we where not happy about the price quality of this highly recommended site compared to what we have visited so far.1 to 0 stars for the price quality comparison1 to 2 stars as they made info at the excavation site.1 to 2 stars for the dig site but not all is open /available to see and the re-constriction was never finished so there is less left of the palace then we thought.

Poor content and AR subpar. Good idea but need improvements

Nice try, but did not work. After 10 minutes of use, it shut down and we had to go all the way back to return it. Moreover, under Cretes sun, the screen glares and seems black, even if you put the shading carton. Waste of money for us.

This can be considered to be a scam. 18 euros for at most 10 minutes of really superficial audio guides, poor 3d reconstructions and terrible user experience. Really not recommended, youll probably gain more information from the various pannels.I appreciate the effort to innovate in this areas but this cannot weight on unaware tourists, if its a project still in development just charge way less. Id say that 5 euros would be more than fair for what you get

La peggiore audioguida che abbia mai sentito, è una truffa.Il costo di ben 18€ è assolutamente esorbitante il prodotto offerto.Testi ridottissimi e localizzazioni inesistenti. Da sconsigliare assolutamente.

La guida 3D è pessima. Pochi commenti e ricostruzioni elementari. Troppo costosa per un tour così breve e poco commentato a livello storico culturale e architettonico. Soldi spesi male. Audio guida 3D is very bad.

I strongly advice not to buy the 3D tour becouse its extremly overpriced, low quality and it contains very short comments. Its a waste of money.

18 euros is way too expensive for an iPad with poor 3D reconstruction and a total of 5 minutes of audio information (and outdated information). The free brochure available with the Knossos site ticket (via a QR code on your phoneand the informative panels along the tour contain more worthy information than the audio guide. Don’t waste money on it.

Magnífico, no se puede entender el palacio sin la representación 3D.4/5 estrellas porque estaría bien que se moviera a medida que tú te mueves, pero 100% would recommend. :)

Επισκεφτήκαμε για δεύτερη φορά την Κνωσσό με την 10χρονη κόρη μας και για άλλη μια φορά επιλέξαμε στην ξενάγηση μας τη χρήση tablet- πραγματικά η τεχνολογία στην υπηρεσία της γνώσης! Μοναδικη εμπειρία που τη συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα ειδικά σε οικογενειες ! Αν μάλιστα συνδυαστεί και με φυσικό ξεναγό ειναι μακράν ο,τι καλύτερο για μικρούς και μεγάλους! Μακάρι να επεκταθεί και σε άλλους αρχαιολογικούς χώρους..

Nádherné a historií opředené místo. Je tu tedy hlava na hlavě. Doporučuji koupit při návštěvě archeologického muzea v Heraklionu vstup za 20 euro. Platí jak pro muzeum tak pro palác v Knossu a je na 3 dny. Vyhnete se tak čekání v dlouhé frontě na vstupenky.

Mi aspettavo di meglio... guida 3d poco efficiente, inoltre si vede poco del reale palazzo originario... rovine qui e lì oltre che file molto lunghe!

Bon il faut y aller histoire de se dire qu’on l’a fait mais vous n’apprendrez pas grand chose.Tous les endroits ne sont pas accessibles, il y a peu d’explications et le fait que ça ait été en partie reconstitué gâche le lieu.Très touristique et dès notre arrivée on s’est fait alpaguer par des guides qui voulaient nous vendre une visite.Nous avions eu les billets couplés avec ceux du musée d’Heraklion.Gratuit pour les membres de l’UE de moins de 25 ans.Parking gratuit.

When I first went to this place, it blew my mind - 3 Dimensions, can you even imagine? This was until I went to the 9D experience in Chania. I felt like an absolute mug - I payed double the amount for 6 fewer dimensions. I would like to see the Knossos 3D experience combine forces with the 9D experience in Chania to create a 12D experience.

Do not buy this device. 18€ for this guide, is a trap. Only some 360° pictures bad defined, empty dialogue and no story, nothing on the cultural part. Its a shame.

Brillante idea para un lugar que no tiene nada en español, no guia físico ni audio-guía. Esto nos brindó la guía en español que necesitábamos sin tener que ir con un libro. Pagamos 18€ por un dispositivo que usamos dos personas con los auriculares del iPhone y sin límite de tiempo. La única cosa a mejorar es que le faltan mucha información y detalles curiosos de un sitio tan importante históricamente. Pero supongo que eso lo irán haciendo con el tiempo. Es necesario porque sino la gente se seguirá quejando en los reviews de que es muy poca la información que brinda esta experiencia 3D.

Its a 3D world which is kinda generic and empty. Nice to see the murals. The audio tour is really bad though. Theres very little information regarding the architecture, culture or art. Mostly bland facts about physical layout, excavation and defining basic uses of spaces.

I enjoyed visiting Knossos, and I prefer visiting under my own steam rather than with a guide. So I thought that this would be a good compromise. The 3D was impressive and the kit worked fine.However, there was much less detail to the narration than I was expecting. Overall I think I’d have been better with a map and a written guide, though maybe that’s not very 21st century!Also, the website is quite unclear where to meet to collect the equipment, it says “outside the main entrance”. I looked outside What I thought was the main entrance (it turned out to be the entrance before the main entrance!without success and asked around, no luck! I went to the ticket booth and discovered I didn’t need to queue there as I’d prebought a ticket online, but when I asked where I collect my Ipad they said “try at the cafe”. I looked outside/at the cafe but could not see anyone with iPads or any signage/logo/badge saying Knossos 3D audio tours. After a while I heard a man saying my name to one of the cafe staff, which is how I found Yannis! I have suggest that they make collection instructions much clearer, and have a badge/logo/sign!

Unfortunately, we did not get the experience even though we booked and paid in advance. An example how a great idea lacks good operations. We bought a code online, but the app does not have a field to enter and activate. Customer service was very responsive through WhatsApp but did not provide a solution on how to activate the app. They asked us to come to Knossos between 8 and 530 for local support. We did, but nobody appeared and answered our calls until 820. At 9 o clock we finally got a message that the service team arrived. Until then we had finished the site visit already without the app. When we met the representative at the exit he was very friendly and we received a refund. We are still sad we didnt get a guided tour through the app....

It was an amazing experience!! I definitely propose it!!

Meravigliosa testimonianza storica. Percorso ben strutturato con numerosi didascalie dei reperti. Ben organizzati anche per ospitare persone disabili con percorsi dedicati. Merita effettuare la visita con una guida anche se per avere un prezzo ragionevole è consigliabile essere in gruppi abbastanza numerosi.

Bel endroit même si trop touristique

Excellent way to discover the secrets of Knossos Palace using edge technology. Friendly and helpful staff. It would be great if such services were offered in other archaeological places in Greece too.
