Kline's Restaurant - American restaurant in Cumberland, United States
It was like a horror movie but ill never forget the experience, well worth $20 for 2 people.
Great food at a reasonable e. Good service, friendly staff!
Stopped in for Breakfast and it was very good. First time here. People were friendly and food was great!
Its nice that a family of 4 can eat a meal and share desert for under $40. And the scenery outside is a wonderful mountain view.
The food was great. Also got a window seat with the view of the river.
I was in the minority. Not impressed. Ordered chicken tenders, they were ok. Fried potatoes, not what I expected ( cubed potatoes looked deep friedand butter beans, cold rolls.
Food was great and fast service.
Was hoping for good diner food, menu very limited. Chicken was overdone. Soup tasteless. Waitress and staff very attentive and pleasant. To be fair it was toward 6 when we arrived and many menu items were sold out. (They close at 7)
This is a great little americana restaurant. I’ve gotten several different dishes both dine in and to go and they’ve always been absolutely delicious.Call location is fantastic right in the Narrows near lovers Leap. The staff is friendly courteous and fast and the restaurants always very clean. This restaurant is pretty iconic!
Went for the first time on Fathers Day. Did and service was superb we will be making plans to go again!!
My family and I love Klines. We have eaten here for years and the food is always great and the service is wonderful. Home cooking at an affordable price - definitely recommend!
The service was excellent. The menu has a lot of good choices. When it arrived I was not disappointed. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was impressive I really enjoyed everything. Definitely going back. Its really hard to find good food and service.
Food was great and the service was better. Nice family restaurant.
Had fast service, and excellent blts. I love the atmosphere too. Will be going back soon.
A friendly hometown restaurant with larg helpings and great food.
Great waitress, sat at counter. Good food.
Great place to sit down and eat. There food is always good.
Seems like ANY daily special we order is just Fantastic! As always great service!
Was delicious! Everytime I come in, foods always hot, and the gravy they use is amazing. Would definitely recommend.
Like salads? Do yourself a favor and order grilled chicken salad, it will be the best one you have ever had
I always like stopping here for breakfast. Good home cooking, nothing fancy. And it fills me up 😋
The staff is great the food is amazing! A great small-town feel which is bunkered right outside of lovers leap! If youre in the narrows in Cumberland Maryland you got to stop
Good food and very pleasant atmosphere. Prices were the same as anywhere else you go and portions were 👍 good
Very good food and the service is good friendly workers a pleasant experience
My family’s restaurant awesome :i dont eat much there but best milkshakes ever
Was extremely cold inside. The lady that first came to us was very nice but the second lady was like we were bothering her. I expected the food to be better since I have been there before
Its been a long time since Ive eaten at this restaurant. After sitting down we waited over 5 minutes before receiving a menu. Food was good, nothing special.. the prices were cheap. Id go to a place like that regular food but for something special, Id go somewhere else.
Its the kind of place you would take your grandmother for Mothers Day. Laid back atmosphere definitely nothing fancy kind of like a cafeteria style food with small portions. It has gone downhill like many other places due to covid.
The food was great nice restaurant we both Loved it will definitely eat there again when we are in the area
First time, had liver and onions, I should have asked to not have the liver cooked so long. It was still good but on the dry side. Probably should have seen that coming as our server asked if I ended gravy on it a couple times. Cole slaw was good. There was a grilled chicken salad ordered also. The chicken was chicken I guess but it seemed like a processed patty if some sorts. Not the best but the salad for a small was big. We saw a cheesesteak someone ordered and it look like a huge sandwich. We will more than likely stop again and try something different.
We stopped in for breakfast as we were staying about 15 mins away. The atmosphere was very small townish and cute. The place was decorated very nicely for the holidays. We ordered the Ultimate Breakfast and it was a sizable amount of food at a very reasonable price. Our eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly and the home fries and pancakes were absolutely delicious!! Our server Janet was phenomenal..very friendly and knowledgeable.
The macaroni salad OMG is hand made and is the best Ive ever had. But all the food we ordered was great and the small town fit was perfect setting . Ill be going here alot from now on .counter sitting or table and booth seating . A laid back family place to relax and enjoy your meal. The pictures of old Town cumberland are just amazing and so are the people that work here. Id recommend any one to please stop here and enjoy down home good food and its very clean even the bathrooms are in very clean order. If I could give the 10 stars they would get it from me. Crab cakes and steaks and burgers soups its a great little find.ENJOY!!
It was okay, the food was okay, the one and only server I saw was doing very well keeping up with orders. I am not in any hurry to return.
We love it here, never a disappointment. And the chicken noodle soup is always home made and always fresh and very good.
Was craving a hot home made lunch on a cold, blustery wet day. Klines pork and sauerkraut with mashed potatoes and butter beans hit. the. spot. Service was lovely and quick! Going back soon!
A classic family diner experience. The menu is simple and non pretentious, with breakfast served all day and lunch after 11am.Even with all-day breakfast, they had run out of biscuits and gravy by 10:30 and were not making more for the day. This was the only disappointment during the visit.Coffee was refilled frequently and food came out in a timely manner despite our table ordering right at changeover.Come expecting classic Mom and Pop diner fare and youll have a great meal.
This is a nice little diner. Its not big or expensive, but my breakfast was yummy. Eggs over-easy was perfectly cooked. I also enjoy having a western/Denver omelette here. The potatoes (home friesare tasty without being salty. The restaurants parking lot is due for a repaving and that is planned not long from now, so I cant wait to see it again. It really, really needed it. As for the restaurant interior, it could use a little sprucing up. The ceiling tiles have been replaced, but the stringers are still stained with ancient nicotine stains. Thats the only noticeable peeve of mine, but it doesnt keep me away from the good food and company with my dad when we share our breakfast together.
I just stopped in for a quick bite. Covid guidelines were being enforced. I had the homemade sausage gravy which was very good. They also offer several daily specials. You can dine in or order take out and pick it up at a window if you dont feel comfortable with indoor dining right now. Service was good and staff was very friendly. Good portion sizes as well.
I grew up in this small town and during a recent visit opted for a taste of nostalgia, so to speak. What a mistake. I check Yelp everywhere I go, but it didnt occur to me to check this places reviews seeing as apparently Ive been here before. After all, I came here as a kid, so it must be good, right? Nope.I ordered "The Ultimate" which is $9.50 for two eggs, two pancakes, 3 strips of bacon, home fries and an order of toast. I wasnt feeling that hungry, but I like to try what appear to be signature dishes on the menu, and with a name like Ultimate, it certainly must be amazing.Where do I start? The home fries: the most disgusting thing Ive ever put in my mouth; I had to stop at a convenience store to purchase a pack of gum just to get the horrible taste out of my mouth. I tried covering them in ketchup in a useless attempt to ingest the energy Id need for the hike I was about to take, but ultimately was unable to have a second bite. The pancakes: undercooked and wet, had 1 biteThe bacon: perfect, the only thing I enjoyed, which is saying a lot since I normally dont eat bacon, but when I asked for sausage instead I was told "The Ultimate" does not allow substitutionsThe eggs: overcooked, but ate them anywayThe toast: smothered in butter, ate it anyway, since I wanted the carbsThe coffee: burnt like it had been sitting for days; how disappointing they cant even serve a mediocre cup of coffee! The waitress was nice enough, but when she carried away the entire plate of food she had dropped off only a few minutes before, she didnt make a single comment when she noticed I ate almost nothing. She didnt ask whether I enjoyed my meal, perhaps since it was obvious I hadnt, nor did she ask if she could get me something else instead.Big thumbs down.
I give this 5 stars not because of quality of food., decor, or anything else that typically qualifies for this rating. Other than the gentleman that waited on us was the owners son. He was husseling, busy, cased about what he was doing. They were understaffed but he continued to smile and be geniune at all of his tables. Only when we were leaving did we find out who he was.
The crab cake was real! Not much filler. Traditional Maryland goodness! Coconut cream pie was to die for. Good merengue on top! Feels like a hometown spot for locals. Lots of table conversations going on across the aisles. Waitresses were friendly. Pay at counter. Reasonable prices. Have nightly specials. Can sit at the counter. Not an awkward place to eat alone by any means. Real baked potatoes a plus - could have been a touch warmer though - wrapped in foil. Good tartar sauce too!
Klines Restaurant is a "down home cooking" place w/good food, good service & fantastic homey atmosphere! Im one of many in this surrounding area who enjoys Klines Restaurant! High Fives!🤗
Great local restaurant w/ a home cooked style menu located at the foot of the legendary Lovers Leap. Friendly staff, fast service. Food was delicious, but not seasoned much, priced right, lots of options. Breakfast available all day. Best coleslaw ever! Home made desserts! Amazing black raspberry pie!
The food was just ok my eggs which was suppose to be med. Had slime in the whites my steak was to well done it came out med. And my waiter after just checking on us 2 times was never to be seen I had to go get my ticket to pay the bill. I left a dollar tip and trust me he wasnt worth that a waitress brought us our meal and the bus boy brought us our water we requested with our meal. With all this in mind I do believe that the meal and service would have been better if we had someone else to wait on us. For on our ticket our meals were written down incorrectly. Thank you
A diamond in the rough. Simple and basic but very good food. Great service. Everyone was kind and helpful. They had something on the menu called Pink Panther and our server let me taste it... A delicious ambrosia salad with nuts and coconut. Interesting and yummy! Whoever made the grilled cheese went to Grilled Cheese School because it was picture perfect, warm, and yummy. A great find and felt good to support a local business.
They use a nasty cornstarch gravy. Which to me just ruined the food. My wife got a hamburger which had a really sweet bun, which ruined hers. The soap dispenser in the men’s room had no soap, so where did the people working with the food wash there hands? Because I couldn’t wash mine. Then the seats were dirty and the floor had trash laying on it, we were there for 45 minutes and no one picked it up,
Staff was great! Food was amazing, and restaurant had amazing scenic views very cozy. Definitely if ever in the area again would go back!
One of my familys favorite places.Great food!!!. Good prices..Todays food had me disappointed!!!.We had the fishtail dinner. Fried to hard, for a fish pattie. Green beans had no flavor. Fried Chicken Breast, fried to fast where the chicken was not cooked and very very tuff. I was even shocked to have freezer burnt ice cubes for my drink. Total disappointment!!!.. My dogs liked the chicken though..
Go there regularly. Great coffee. Those who wait tables are personable & more than willing to be amenable to the customers needs & desires. Good prices. Large servings. Great deserts. As long as they are there my wife and I will be patronizing them...
I had "The Ultimate". And i was ultimately disappointed. Their pancakes had too much vanilla and they give you no selection of syrup. Their "home fries" came to the table bland and there was no offer of adding salt andor pepper. At least their bacon was not greasy. Their toast was at least as good for the price. Probably the best part of the meal was toast. Before i even got my menu i waited ten minutes to be given that. The worst part of my visit was that there was no one to greet me at least. All i can say is if i return, i expect better food and a better selection of options. I came in hoping for buiscuits and gravy and saw none. Being pregnant, i expected better. First impressions matter especially if the person is pregnant.
