Good location, good ambience...kinda have that hipster vibe going on with live music on weekends as well but the prices of drinks especially beer (limited on IPA or other kindsis crazy. I expect such price at a 6 star hotel bar if theres such a hotel. Also, the amount of wine they served for the price is a total turnoff for me..actually I felt embarrassed to have ordered wine (fml!! and I guess for lots of other patrons have felt the same too. The Kline management should revise the pricing and add more options. The university might be close by and it is little more on an uphill area. This does not justify the prices and drink options but actually it should be the other way (affordable drinks and better optionsI will be visiting them randomly again in future and will definitely review again. Hope you keep that hipster vibe going on but not pretentious-wanna be kind of if you know what I mean!!

Very cute communal meeting place. Many languages spoken through people of all ages, everyone enjoying a drink or falafel. Great experience with an organic feel of Zürich.

Kitchen nightmares - magnet in my yogurtPaid 30chf for a basic breakfast out of stuff already ready on the counter. Got my coffee and waited 50min for the food. Asked for ETA after 40 min and was told “you need to wait”. At some point some food came but it wasn’t mine. Then got my food after about an hour. And then surprise, I FIND A MAGNET IN MY YOGURT. Naturally abandoned ship, returned the magnet to get a “sorry” from the waiter, and left without eating my food. What a way to waste 1.5 hours and 30chf on a beautiful sunday. Never again.

It is my "local" and a very pleasant place, friendly staff and nice clientele. The only down-side is that it is expensive, when you consider the relatively uncomfortable seats and self-service!. My IPA beer has just gone up from 8 to 9 CHF! A shed-load more than inflation! This is the price you pay for drinking in a "trendy" place! Hope the management see this post!

Great alternative atmosphere, warm service and superb beer

Your green place inside the city. Now also open on the colder months of the year, where you can find a cosy seat inside the containers extension. For decades this little park wasnt used at all, with the great work of some young people together with the cities own gardeners kleine Freiheit got created and its a full success! Finally this small public corners gets its debut!

Im greek and what they call a moussaka is in NO way anything even close to the real thing. Would recommend changing the name.

staff is always super friendly, they allow pets in- nd outside. sometimes even give u free/extra. prices r rly fair nd the portions huge! best falafel in town 4my taste. oleee

Nice alternative cosy little restaurant with a terrace outside during summer. They have nice vegetarian food but rather fingerfood/ tapas style and not a full fledged meal.

They have a spacious outdoor place where you can laugh and talk loudly. It has its own vibe and we loved it!

One of the nicest places in Zurich. Centrally located, close to HB, Central, and the universities. The staff are lovely, and the food and drinks are great for reasonable prices. Cant recommend more.

Good and fresh breakfast. Especially their creamy and tasty hummus is one of the best ones Ive ever eaten (I would come back alone for the hummus!).Their Gondola Raclette offers a special and cozy dinner experience with a good variety of pickled vegetables as a side.

Really cozy coffee store. They have ski lifts where you can have a more private conversation. There are blankets in the benches outside and the interior has good rock/punk rock music. The waitresses were nice. I had a good time today :)

Food and drinks are great. Doing a reservation can be quite tricky tho as no phone number is provided and the online form didnt work for me.

Very chill and nice place, for everything from coffee and cake, to eating, or enjoying a beer together.Although it is in the middle of the city, there is a lot of greenery around it so you dont feel the city as much.For food, they have great cakes (also great vegan selectionand mezze variations for a little more hearty meals.Although it has a few indoor tables, this is mostly an outdoor place.Full recommendation :)

This is good place for continental food. This place has nice sitting arrangements inside and outside so according to weather condition you can use sitting and enjoy different dishes too. Its good place to have drink or dinner.

I really like this place, especially in the winter; the table next to the fireplace is just the best.I think they could improve on the quality and quantity of their food-plates though and//or offer a wider selection of finger-food.

A bar/café with a rustic ambience. The sole cake choice of the day was homemade apple cake. Some of us had beer. A bit limited assortment but what is offered is tasty.

Saw this place whilst getting lost in hilly Zurich and made a decision to return. It has all the vibes I like: chilled out, alternative, friendly and a home feel to it. I had a soup and Glühwein before catching my flight back to LDN. This cafe is perfectly situated on the route of the no. 10. Pop in for good food then jump on the tram (trip to airport is only 35 mins from here). Do it, no regrets; the soup was delicious.

This is such a cute little place, the staff were super friendly and the food tasted great. However, 12 fr for a pita bread with two (!falafels just dont cut it. If youre hungry you need to order some some additional falafels or side orders. The cappuccino was so tiny I thought they given me an espresso first. Tasted ok though but a little weak. I might come back for drinks with friends but not for lunch. Its the first time I left a restaurant feeling hungry.

"Freiheit" ist a small gem right next to university. Very well done for a small coffee, simple breakfast or a place of hummus. There isnt more. Friendly not super attentive staff. Food is ok. Prices are steep for what you get. 4 stars for the idea and location

Amazing mezze for a reasonable price. Pretty good coffee from Black&Blaze (Swiss Roaster). And friendly staff. Its simply a good spot to hangout on a Sunday afternoon and enjoy the sun in their outdoor seating area.

Super cute garden café (has inside spaces but its really all about the outside here). They have great and affordable mezze/filled pita breads, to die for homemade ice tea and great cocktails! Gets really full though on a sunny day, so get there early ;)

A little oasis in the heart of Zurich. Tasty mezze, falafel and other oriental delicacies, not in a traditional interpretation, rather modern and creative. The hummus was one of the best Ive eaten in a long time. It is recommended to come early for lunch as it can be crowded. Especially when the weather is nice.The interior reminds me of a chalet with a hint of hipsterness (but not too much). Friendly service. Good coffee. I will definitely come back again and again.

A very cute café bar to have a cosy drink. The atmosphere inside is super homely and they have a great outdoor seating space where youre in the middle of a busy street but protected by trees and bushes so its still as relaxing as ever. Definitely a bit of a hidden gem in the heart of Zurich.

This is such a lovely place! It provides a cosy atmosphere during the cold dark nights of Zurich. They offer only one type of red wine but I enjoyed it very much. Plus they have treats like falafel and borek which are delicious!

Really cute smal garden bar in ik what used to be a small city park. Drink at around 5 chf am cocktails for double that. Have great mezze.

Amazing place in the middle of Zurich. Chilling atmosphere, nice drinks, kind waiters and nice people all around. It is worth to go there having a drink and chill out with friends. Wrong address for all who are seeking a luxury restaurant or coffee or dont want to sit "open air".
